9,5 Excellent
Pros: Well appointed rooms, super clean, great staff, super friendly and genuine.
Cons: Didn’t realise the summer in the city festival entailed a live band outside our window every night!! And it was loud!!! We should have been given the option to change our hotel room to a city view at check in as it took our jet lagged 8 year old quite some time to settle and fall asleep.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room with a fantastic view.
Cons: Several small problems like unfriendly staff at breakfast reception and very long wait at breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and safe
Cons: All good

Pros: It was in a great location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and amenities. If we asked for it we got it. Yoga mat, ice, corkscrew, and maintenance. We had one of the newly renovated rooms which was really beautiful. Fantastic view into the harbour.
Cons: Some of the new renovations were not checked thoroughly for functionality. Toilet ran and needed adjustment. The sliding door into the bathroom could not be opened or closed without significant effort. Maintenance could not fix it as the door is too heavy
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a true 5 star experience
Cons: The AC in the room had a very strong fan, even when turned down low - it did not extend to the bed so it worked for me but if I had sat at the desk, it was to the point of uncomfortable. But the overall hotel experience was first rate.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and the staff
Cons: $60 parking fees!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It’s location was exactly what I needed, close to everything the city has to offer.

Pros: Location was perfect, less than a minute from the subway. However Boston was so beautiful we walked a lot. The staff were incredibly helpful, helping us to find tickets for the Redsox baseball, which is a 15 minute walk. Shopping is just around the corner and seafront is probably 20 minutes walk or short subway. The hotel was beautiful. Very clean and had some nice extras like chocolates on your pillow and fruit and coffee to grab and go in the morning. Staff were really helpful on checking out with our boarding passes and directions. Would love to stay here again!

Cons: The gym smelled funny & way too hot.

Pros: Location was excellent. Hotel was beautiful, comfortable and very clean.
Cons: Service in dining room was poor. The manager told me I was reading the menu incorrectly, then once I pointed it out to her, she acknowledged I was correct. Later came back to tell me that I should remember for future reference that what was printed on the menu was actually wrong and what she told me was right!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful - a boutique historical property with an edge of contemporary flair. The lobby is gorgeous! The staff were all fantastic, the doorman remembered us and the desk clerk brought up a bottle of wine when he heard it was my birthday. Warm, comfortable and a perfect location for exploring Boston!
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff and decor.
Cons: Bathroom was small.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Lenox does a great job with the most basic expectations...but they hit the details out of the park! From the thread count of the sheets to the cookies/lemonade in the lobby, this hotel goes the extra mile.

Pros: The property was great and the staff was exactly what you’d expect from the Four Seasons. They made my birthday feel special.
Cons: I came to the realization pretty quickly that I was paying for the hotel “name” and the real estate. I’ve had much nicer accommodations in far less expensive hotel brands. But hey, now I can say I’ve stayed at The Four Seasons.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff exceedingly attentive. Every individual was delightful and willing to please. Location was superior for our needs. Dining room was comfortable with a pleasant view of Boston Common. Also enjoyed the bar area.
Cons: Room layout was odd, with the bathroom right next to the bed. Restaurant dining options were limited. After checking in, after traveling all day we were looking for a light meal and ended settling for a hamburger and a bowl of soup. We found the in-room dining had different options and wonder why these were not available in the restaurant. Food and beverage prices were high even by hotel dining standards. Lobby was sterile and not very comfortable.

Cons: Our specific room had a constant and regular sound as if someone was moving stuff or walking heavy-footed above or next to us. Made it hard to sleep especially on the last night, severely affecting our energy levels. Staff was understanding but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. 8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location was why I selected the Godfrey. Easy access to historic State House where the Declaration of Independence was read on the 4th of July. The street has a wonderful vibe. The lobby is great for family gatherings. The door men are wonderful greeters.
Cons: Very weird and impossible remote control for the TV. Buttons were useless and kept sticking. Bedside lamp required you to get out of bed after reading to turn the light off. I wish the room was more user friendly for these simple every day routines.
6,3 Good
Pros: Location is great
Cons: Room was quite small for what I paid and nothing was complementary
4,0 Okay
Pros: Nice staff let us check in early. Had no problem with us hanging out in the lobby when our flight was delayed.
Cons: REALLY tiny room. Kind of a snooty vibe, even though the "Downtown Crossing" neighborhood is a little sketchy. Be careful walking around at night!
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, friendly staff, very good food for dinner & breakfast right next door.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It was easy to walk to most parts of the city. The shower and beds were great.
Cons: No breakfast, except for attached coffee shop but not my cup of tea ( pardon the pun). Lots of homeless/ rough sleepers in the side streets nearby. Rooms low down can be very noisy- we had drilling in the road at 1.30 am for ages followed by bin collection at 5am. We did get moved to a higher floor with a great view and it was much quieter. Quite pricey for what you get, but I suppose you are paying for location.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location is fabulous. Very short walk to Boston Common. Comfortable bed. A low light turns on when you walk into the bathroom which is very useful at night.
Cons: Insufficient towel racks in bathroom.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: The bathroom door was a sliding wooden door that does not lock and staying with multiple people where a bathroom door doesn't shut/lock probably was the only odd thing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room and bed / bedding. Nice pillows. Robes. Daily water bottles. Updated bathroom (fixtures, decor, lighting, rain showerhead). Excellent service - requested large ice bucket, extra coffee (keurig in room) with creamers. Felt pampered. Great location. Will definitely stay here again.

Pros: Great location! Wonderful rooms and staff!
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The room size was a little bit small as usual but the quality of bed, bath, interior was outstanding. The comfort, coziness and wellness of the bed with its cushions and linens was one of the best experienced so far. The coffeeshop serves excellent breakfast and there is an outstanding restaurant aside. Staff is super friendly and helpful!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The sale price was great , the room was small but comfortable.
Cons: I didn't like the staff asking what they could do and when I did have a request to extend my stay with the same price, it was denied.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: We did not have breakfast included, but our room was a comfortable place to return to after long days exploring Boston. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Overview Reviews
Step back into 1912, through the iconic, grand Fairmont Copley Plaza featuring the most lavish lobby in Boston. Known as Boston’s Grand Dame, the hotel has welcomed celebrities like Tom Cruise and Frank Sinatra, almost all U.S. president’s since Taft, and more of the world’s most powerful figures. Today, the Fairmont Copley Plaza draws a wide range of guests, from conventioneers to college parents to Freedom Trail tourists. The location of the hotel is right on Copley Square in the heart of Back Bay. Guests have convenient and easy access to The Copley Square T, as well as the rest of the city. Several popular areas such as the Prudential Center, Newbury Street, the Charles River, Trinity Church, and the Boston Public Library, are a short walk away. Fairmont Copley Plaza does not offer as many on-site properties as other luxury hotels nearby, however, the feature it does offer are more convenient and modern. The large fitness center is on the top-floor with city views and includes separate areas for weight training, cardio, and aerobics. Conferences, weddings, and special events can be held in meeting rooms and the ballroom. The sophisticated OAK Long Bar and Kitchen Restaurant offer guests local ingredient and modern American food. The property may be over 100 years old, but all rooms are up-to-date with an elegant feel. Per usual in older buildings, standard rooms are smaller than most but very affordable for the area. The well-appointed specialty suites offer a theme from events and landmarks in Boston, while the Gold Club rooms feature free Wi-Fi, a lounge with free breakfast, private business center, free snacks, and a library. All accommodations feature mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and other necessities, as well as views of the city.

Pros: The character of the rooms was outstanding. Made you feel like you took a step back in time but with the modern day conviences.
Cons: Front desk staff was not as helpful as I would have expected. Was told I would receive a text confirmation of when my room would be ready....I did not receive so had to check back.Same with reservations for dinner. Never got confirmed. I had to call them.

Cons: Construction on church across from my room, started early, relentless but hotel had no control over it
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for shopping. Gold floor staff were very attentive. Worth the upgrade, especially as the Oak bar was so crowded on Saturday night. The Gold lounge was a pleasant oasis.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location! Location! Location! Coffee maker in room along with a mini fridge. Bed was super comfortable! The hotel has so much charm. The location is why I would stay here again. (Liked the free WiFi too) It's also a 10 min walk to Enterprise Car Rental.
Cons: The hotel walls were paper thin. A wedding party stayed at the hotel that night and it was sososo loud!!! We could hear all of their conversations from midnight till 3am. Also ask for King or double beds. My husband daughter and I slept in a Queen.
6,5 Good
Pros: Beautiful lobby, fantastic location, lots of places to gather with coworkers in the lobby.
Cons: Bad views, small rooms, the two front desk people I met were fake nice, and there was a crib in my room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Deluxe room - lots of space, good desk/lighting/reading chair, excellent bed, large marble bath and amenities. OAK is a great bar and restaurant with excellent food and lively vibe. Room service was prompt, friendly and delicious. And the hotel has a sweet black Lab to welcome guests.
Cons: Noise from hall seeps in through the old wood doors; not really a problem until a couple drunk bros came in at 4AM and spent 20 minutes in the hall being enthusiastic.

Pros: Staff is incredible! Service was the best we ever had in a hotel. Access to bikes, kayaks make the visit to Boston such a perfect experience! Rooms are nice and cozy!
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great location for getting into Downtown Boston for someone familiar with the city
Cons: It might be a little most challenging for someone who doesn’t know the city to deal with the transit options to get to and from the hotel
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. And the rooms were very comfortable.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything -- the king sized bed was comfy, the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. I like to walk barefoot on the carpeted floor and my feet didn't feel dirty afterward, as they sometimes do with hotel rooms. I don't know if it was just not a busy season, but I heard no noise outside of the room. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and I took a quick bike ride using their bike loaner and it was really very nice.
Cons: The location is a bit on the outer edges of Boston and far walk from the train, so we just used a cab the whole time. Also the view I had was inwards towards the building (not outside), but it really wasn't that big of a deal.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, charming, clean and comfortable, conveniently located near MIT (with Harvard 2 miles up the road and Boston U across the river). The staff went above and beyond, and Kimpton hotels have a great pet policy!

Pros: Very clean room. Very nice bed and linen. Comfortable chair.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was nice, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The cost of the room was high, there wasn’t a complementary breakfast (which was very disappointing for how much I spent for the room), the tiki bar closed an hour early in the common area, and I had to pay for parking in the garage directly below the hotel.

Pros: Very clean. Fabulous bed and linens. Hot shower. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent food at the restaurant. Highly recommend
Cons: Nothing

9,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel decoration and style
Cons: Lack of personel touch at the check-out
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Met friends for breakfast. Each person enjoyed the food. Hotel location was perfect. I was in town for the unveiling of a plaque for Car Talk's Tom Magliozzi and a celebration in Harvard Square. Late evening, gathered with friends also staying at The Charles for drinks on your patio. Perfect way to end the night. I travel frequently. The Charles is fast-becoming my new favorite hotel.
Cons: Something odd. When I arrived, the room was very clean, but a twig of some sort was on the bathroom floor. Sort of looked like a twig that would hold grapes. I simply discarded it.

Cons: The accommodations swimming pool and gym were not available Outdoor terrace was not available for breakfast
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Location near to Harvard.
Cons: Very expensive.

Pros: Breakfast was in Henrietta's Table - very good with cranberry french toast! Furnishings were classy and windows even opened for fresh air.
Cons: No fan in the bathroom.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bedding (down comforter, great pillows), and the air quality/climate control were outstanding. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, and the bed was actually more comfortable than my bed and home (and I'm fussy). The pool was excellent.
Cons: No coffee maker in the room. Refrigerator packed with overpriced bar stuff. I was annoyed, but the NY Times outside the door in the morning put the smile back on my face.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location is brilliant for Harvard. Staff were very helpful. Beds were super comfortable and bathrooms were amazing.
Cons: You do have to pay pretty steeply for the quality.

Pros: Location
Cons: Late check-Out I wish we could have checked out at 1pm
1,0 Poor
Pros: The room and location were lovely. While I stayed there the staff were nice.
Cons: One month after my stay, I got a $90 charge on my credit card from the hotel for laundry. I did not have any laundry done at the hotel. A bellhop tried to drop off some one else's laundry during my stay, but I never asked for laundry to be done.

Pros: Staff wss excellent. Boston Nick very helpful. Location, eastern standard chips.
Cons: Expensive, no vent in bathroom. But overall good value and great location

Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: We arrived early (11:00 AM) and inquired at the front desk about checking our bags so we could walk the area. We learned that our room was ready for check-in. Big plus! Front desk staff were extremely polite and helpful. Room was clean and updated. Valet parking was convenient and attendants were very personable.
Cons: We had the breakfast package included at Eastern Standard. Eastern Standard has a great atmosphere but the service and food was a major disappointment. We were seated and were informed by our server that she would be with us in a couple of minutes. After a 10 minute wait we were brought coffee by the hostess. We continued to wait but the server never returned. The hostess again returned and this time took our order. Our food arrived, eggs Benedict, and we both found that the eggs had been over cooked, hard in the middle as well as the English muffin to be like a hockey puck. The hostess never returned to check on our meal. Total disappointment!!!!
7,5 Good
Pros: Proximity to Fenway and subway. View of Fenway, ease and friendliness of valet parking service.
Cons: $25/night Resort fee for things that are included in EVERY other hotel. I didn't use any of the things I paid for (coffee, gym, car service etc.) I don't think this hotel had a resort feel to it at all ☹️ As a traveler at the end of a ten day trip, where I stayed in 4 other hotels, I thought this hotel was just OK. For the money I paid there are plenty of other hotels with more amenities. This is my second time in Boston and I wish we had stayed where we did the first time. No fault of the hotel but parents beware there is NOTHING for kids to do once you're done for the day (no pool or game room). I think this hotel would be great for couples or those on business trips.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to everything
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Ease of getting to Fenway.
Cons: The BS $25 per night fee for “WiFi, water bottles in the room, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom..... etc”. These are all table stakes for Marriott/Hyatt.... $58 per day for parking??? I get that parking is bad in Boston but $58 per day???!!!! Highway robbery!
7,0 Good
Cons: They charge a ridiculous "resort fee" os U$ 25.00 day ☹️
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great attention to detail. Nice amenities. Reasonable price.
Cons: The only thing is during our stay, most of the fitness machines were not working.,

Pros: Hotel was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the food at the club level and the staff there was second to none. The overall cleanliness of the hotel excellent. We brought our dog for the first time and everyone treated us with open arms and respect. They loved our dog Isabelle. Pros: Amazing breakfast Front desk staff provided us with a voucher due to a delay in our room being ready Very nice concierge and front desk staff
Cons: Our room was not ready in time, and they were (I think) short a duvet when they were preparing it, so they put two flat sheets on the comforter instead of a duvet. This was a minor annoyance.

Pros: Great room
Cons: Forever wait in the restaurant.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Location, airport shuttle.
Cons: Food options... Need another option vs high $$ restaurant.. Most hotels have a commissary area..

Pros: The views, the outdoor patio for dining
Cons: $46 to park, $30 a person for a breakfast buffet that is the same quality as other hotels free breakfast, bathrooms need updating, can not hear airplanes from the nearby airport - but you can hear a kid whining about his brother using his toothbrush at 5a

Pros: The location was perfect! The shuttle service to/ from airport, ferry and subway system was on time and very convenient.
Cons: Price was a bit high.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed at in recent memory. Huge, well appointed room. Bed comfort to die for! Terrific view of the harbor and Boston skyline out our oversized window. Total darkening blind made sleeping late a breeze. Super quiet! Great in-house restaurant with both indoor and waterfront outdoor tables. We’re heading out on a cruise, but this may end up being the highlight of our vacation!
Cons: Honestly can’t think of a single negative about this property.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, professional & attentive

Cons: Beds and linens need refreshing
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to airport and how nice the property was. Awesome location and view of the harbor!
Cons: The only thing we had an issue was with the breakfast the morning we were checking out... took a while to get our food and when we were served, my husband’s eggs and ham were served in a pool of grease. The manager came to our table and apologized and offered my husband the buffet instead, but unfortunately, we didn’t have time because we had to catch our flight. So my husband went without eating. They didn’t charge us for his meal, but it was disappointing for sure!!

Pros: What a beautiful location! I fell asleep and woke up looking at the beautiful Boston skyline across the water. It was so beautiful I didn't want to close the drapes! So close to the airport for an early morning flight, but I never heard any airplane noise. Staff were incredibly nice and the complimentary shuttle to the airport made staying here a breeze.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: No ethics. No morals. No integrity. Miserable business from soup to nuts. Would never advise anyone to stay here...for any reason...
5,8 Okay
Pros: The check in person was excellent. Bartender at restaurant was very friendly.
Cons: Absurdly overpriced. There were stairs to my room, which was strange. Room itself mediocre for more than 500 dollars. Actually for more than 500 dollars it was lousy. The place needs facelift.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great for sightseeing many of the historic sights in Boston. Could walk easily to several areas. Staff was friendly. Appreciated the bottled water after sightseeing and walking for hours in the heat.
Cons: Would have preferred the decor to be more in line with a historical feel given the location to the historical district and the hotel name. The modern trendy decor was a disappointment and can be found in any number of hotels. You should be different and set yourself apart.

Pros: Troy was really lovely and helpful on our first day, credit to the hotel. The location was excellent and the beds really comfortable.
Cons: Although comfortable the decor and carpets were very dated. It didn’t make a difference to our stay but it could look so much better with very little work.
