9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. Nice and close to the main centre , we walked it in about 25 minutes (to Quincy market), but not noisy.
Cons: Would be nice to know what is recyclable so we can get it right and help the staff. We didn't know how to use the bathtub , how to stop the water escaping, we normally have a plug in the UK. Some small instruction card would be helpful for us foreigners.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The good was great for breakfast and this is just a cute and very comfortable place. I had a jacuzzi bath and soft robe...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, accommodating staff, great location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, close to MIT and Charles River. Interesting programs organized by the hotel, and the guests are well informed about them. The hotel is very nice furnitured, the bath had really specific design.
7,0 Good
Pros: It was designed beautifully!! Staff were great, loved staying there. I think the hotel should not charge for parking, after all it is in a industrial section and very narrow to enter the parking lot. Very clean, great breakfast.
Cons: Charging guest for parking under ground very narrow entry.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The quirky & lovely furnishings and decorations
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet neighbourhood, excellent service and friendly staff, rooms stylish and comfortable (King on the top floor), great base from which to explore (walking or hop on/off bus or train)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were very happy with our stay at the Kendall Hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and nice. The bed was very comfortable. We were so happy with the free breakfast, as it made our start for the day easy and fast. Having a subway station a few steps away was wonderful. This is the first time we chose to use only public transportation and it proved to be perfect in the Boston area. The hotel itself is a historic site, which was very interesting. Our view wasn't great, as there was construction from our window, however, we were able to check in hours early and that made it worth the slight inconvenience. I would recommend this Hotel.
Cons: Construction in the neighborhood was a slight inconvenience. This was in no way the fault of the Hotel.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location, unique interior (not classical big hotel) Great breakfast and nice people
Cons: Room 303 not enough day light. A bit too expensive
9,6 Excellent
Pros: When we returned from our event which was relatively late, there were snacks dropped off in the room for us This was absolutely perfect and appreciated. Also as Deputy Chief of a Fire dept. I loved the memorabilia. A little discount for firefighters would be great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast exceeded my expectations with the many food choices. I was also, impressed with the gluten free bread. I have celiac and it was a great surprise!
Cons: Paying for parking.
2,0 Mediocre
Cons: They called and cancelled room on me even though I was given a confirmation number - at 8:30 pm the night of check in! I had to try and find a room standing on the street corner - totally unacceptable.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Ideally situated. Rooms were clean and spacious and the beds very comfortable.
Cons: Beware - the bath was very slippery when taking a shower.
7,9 Good
Pros: The hotel is a little way from the centre with lots of building work going on. It looks as if this area is to become a vibrant area with eateries popping up. Tne hotel was lovely, we booked it as a last night in Boston treat. The pool is lovely but steam rooms segregated to the shower rooms so unfortunately my husband and I were not able to enjoy together. We would also have lived a jacuzzi. But maybe this is more a business trip hotel rather than a spa one?
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable room
Cons: Cold changing room and corridor for pool limited choice of food disappointing menu

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating after we explained our situation. They even allowed us late checkout. Great place
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was good and it was decorated very retro and on trend. Not a typical hotel chain where everything looks the same. I also liked that they had complimentary coffee and water in the lobby and the room.
Cons: The fan was broken in the room and I mentioned it to two people at the front desk. Both said that they would send someone up with a replacement. That did not happen. Front desk associates were chatting with the valet or using a personal cell.
7,9 Good
Pros: Uniqueness and friendliness.
Cons: No dedicated PC (with printer) for guests.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds, beautiful room, excellent and extremely helpful staff!! You guys
9,6 Excellent
Pros: If you're going to a Red Sox game, you can't get any closer. Looking out our window you can see the backside of the right field grandstands. The rock and roll vibe is really cool but not overdone, they've found a nice niche.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, great location, fun vibe!
6,0 Good
Pros: the way the hotel had a theme of music and was different to normal
Cons: When we got there, there was another charge of $16.00 to use the pool and bar which we were not told about previously. Also we used the pool but there was nowhere to get drinks until 5pm, would have been good to have somewhere to get drinks.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Simply everything
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: satisfactory.
Cons: Not told about the $50 x 3 retention from credit card or $16.5 x 4 for hotel facilities in advance. The $50 x 3 was subsequently reimbursed.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Allgrear
Cons: Didn't use pool or gym , a charge for something we did not use ,but nice stay
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location adjacent to Fenway park. Super lively area, full of things to do. Loved the rock and roll themed vibe and the staff were super friendly. Walkable to back bay. We enjoyed hearing the roar of the ballpark during the games and how busy the area was before, during and after each Red Sox game. Also, the sushi restaurant Hojoko was super yummy and reasonably priced.
Cons: You can smell the restaurant throughout the hallways, which can be a little off putting as it smells like fish most of the time. Really not much to complaint about other than that.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this hotel was unexpectedly perfect. We made the reservation at The Verb because of its location next to Fenway Park (you really can’t get any closer). The rock n roll theme was a really cool bonus. We loved having the turn table and a selection of albums in our room. The room was absolutely spotless and the beds were extremely comfortable. I recall seeing comments in reviews posted somewhere about it being too noisy, but we didn’t find that to be true at all. The staff that we encountered were friendly, helpful and humorous. Our only regret is that we didn’t bring swimsuits for trying out the heated outdoor saltwater pool, which looked lovely.
Cons: Only that we have to go back home for work and couldn’t stay longer.

Overview Reviews
Nestled in the very heart of Downtown Crossing, The Godfrey Hotel Boston is mere steps to theater, shopping, nightlife, dining, public transportation, the Boston Common, financial district office towers, the Freedom Trail and Chinatown.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Nice staff let us check in early. Had no problem with us hanging out in the lobby when our flight was delayed.
Cons: REALLY tiny room. Kind of a snooty vibe, even though the "Downtown Crossing" neighborhood is a little sketchy. Be careful walking around at night!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Place is super cool. Great design and use of the old building. Great reception ambience and very nice rooms.
Cons: The place has ups and downs. Internet is a disaster. Breakfast option is limited to the next door coffee shop with no sturdy options.

Pros: Excellent stay/ extremely helpful customer service
Cons: Can't think of anything
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. The coffee shop next to it was good and convenient
Cons: It had all the modern conveniences. Modern look in an old building. Beautiful architecture around the elevators and staircase
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, modern and comfortable. The location was excellent for the subway and close to Boston Common. Staff were always helpful. Although the hotel was on a busy street, we were never troubled by noise.
Cons: A little more storage space in the room would have been useful i.e. a bedside table on both sides of the bed, more hangers and some drawer space.
7,5 Good
Cons: They won't price match except 2 days before you check in. This would normally be fine but we had been hiking with no service the entire week before. When we called reservation when we were headed to the hotel they said it would be fine and the people at check in would handle it. Of course they did not and said they wouldn't match. So if you stay here just book last minute when their prices are ~$100 less than booking ahead of time.

Pros: Location - easy to get everywhere!
Cons: One of the headboards looked like it was damaged and I did not notice until I moved a pillow.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel looks and feels great and classy. Despite its location, it is really quiet. The hotel is located in close vicinity of downtown and historical center of Boston. For example, it took us 30 minutes of nice walk to get to Boston Tea Party museum. It takes 10 minutes of walk to get to the beautiful Boston Public Garden. The staff is great, helpful and polite.
Cons: I didn't like that a room with 2 queen sized bed was proposed as allowing 5 persons accommodation. In order to allow somehow comfortable sleeping arrangements, I had to order an additional folding double bed, being charged for it. Also, valet parking is a bit pricey

7,1 Good
Pros: The location is very good
Cons: Check out was difficult as charges were added to our room that weren’t ours. A meeting room charge added to a family room should have raised concern and shouldn’t have been added to our bill. We were obviously not part of the large conference that was taking place.

7,7 Good
Pros: The location was he best part of this hotel. Everything downtown was a short, safe walk (T stops, Fanuel Hall, Quincy Market). The room was small for the price but it was well kept. Everything was clean and staff was quick to respond to any requests we had.
Cons: Our AC/Heater broke on our last day there so we had to move rooms because it could not be fixed that night. It kept making an awful buzzing noise every few seconds and would have made sleeping impossible. It was about 8:30 at night and it was really the last thing we wanted to do. Fortunately, they had another room available, and they told us it was an upgrade (it wasn’t), but it was still a process to have to pack all of our stuff up and move it. No discount was offered for the inconveniece. Otherwise the stay would have been perfect.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful.
Cons: The price of brunch.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the friendly staff and beautiful reception areas
Cons: faultless
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The quality of service at the Langham is exceptional. I've never stayed in a hotel where the staff were universally excellent, the accommodations so truly comfortable, and so many lovely extras included. I stayed following an historic blizzard in Boston, and being in that space, so warmly greeted, every need considered -- I can't say enough about how wonderful this establishment is. I would stay again, every time I'm in Boston!
Cons: Nothing.
8,0 Excellent

4,2 Okay
Pros: Staff was very friendly and enthusiastic
Cons: Dated & Tired, especially considering the price tag
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Clean, quiet, and relatively posh with ample room size. Luxury, but not high end luxury...hotel has good bones, but is older. Still a nice place to stay
Cons: Modern amenities in rooms for technology not really available...no charging ports, limited plugs even near the desk. Also the restaurant was not open at 8:00 pm on a Tuesday, just the bar with a more limited menu.

Guests attend to the mind, body and soul in rooms that feature deep hues and (often) sensational views; thoughtful amenities place a focus on staying fit, pampered and well-fed—thanks to Bambara Kitchen + Bar—while in our care.

Pros: Loved having hot breakfast available everyday. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and everybody on the staff was very friendly.
6,3 Good
Cons: Poor communication. Zero response to reservation issues. Front desk staff would only answer in corporate robo-speak
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location great, interior style very well done.
Cons: Just a few small things: interior court yard/atrium is an echo chamber so any small noice from the open elevator shaft (elevators make a small clicking sound when they are engaged which normally would never be noticed) but because the shaft is open to the central atrium which is covered in tile the small sounds echo through the entire hotel. If someone is having a conversation in the central atrium the entire hotel is privy to it. The walls are also thin so you seem to know exactly what is going on in the rooms around you. The building was built as a factory not a habitation so it looks really cool but other livable factors like quietness and warmth it lacks. My room was facing the alley where the trash is collected (I was there four nights) every morning at 0300 the garbage truck would back all the way down the alley with its reverse alarm beeping up a storm and then it sounded like a terrorist attack was taking place for a good 20 minutes while every dumpster was thrashed about and emptied into the truck. The front desk staff are typical Boston; coming from Japan where customer service and politeness is excessive, the more austere "here's your room key... what... you need directions on whea to paak, yaaah ovea thea" followed by blank stares... was jarring at first but its authentic and makes for good story telling. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff tending to breakfast things were very warm and pleasant.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Having a kitchen and having the room divided into sort of 2 rooms. The new/modern decor with old renovated building.

Pros: Mattresses were old and uncomfortable- woke up with back pain. No flowers or candles in room as advertised. Pros: Central location for our purposes: close to T and good restaurants. Helpful, courteous staff-convenient adjoining restaurant for breakfast.
Cons: Nightly rate is misleading because of numerous taxes and amenity fee add-one-WOW!
7,0 Good
Pros: The location is great
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect! Staff is wonderful and super friendly, they flagged a cab for us to get to our dinner reservations. Super accommodating and kind. Deluxe king room was perfect size for a quick overnight getaway, very comfy and clean! Highly recommend.
7,1 Good
Pros: The room is clean and the hotel mostly friendly. Internet works well. The Island Creek is just downstairs and we dined there regularly when we resided in Boston. It's a great restaurant.
Cons: The 25$ resort fee is an outrage. For what? A bit of pastry and coffee that must be consumed by 0900. Water that is complimentary for most people at Marriott and Hilton. The size of the soap is a joke.... not much bigger than a quarter.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was a gorgeous hotel that offered lovely amenities. Large room that was beautifully appointed, chic lobby and great staff.
Cons: The only negative on this was that it was a bit of a walk to all the action, but super close to Fenway Park. The only other small thing was there was no coffee/tea machine in the room, which most hotels provide.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was big and bed was so comfy. Staff was super nice. They also have a good restaurant here. They went above and beyond .
7,0 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean.
Cons: Daily resort fee. Location too far from sights. Traffic noise kept us awake at night.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: One staff member deserves a huge recommendation. His name is Corey and he assisted us so well on arrival with an early check in and room change (due to position). He escorted through the changes and made the stay memorable. He offered advise on what to do and where to go ( especially which Cheers Bar) He also arranged a later check out to accommodate our flight which we were happy to pay a little extra for. Well done Corey.. On departure the bell hop and doorman were great as well. It’s not a cheap hotel for South Africans but the service makes all the difference.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Position
Cons: they charge 25 usd per night for "additional info" which are not requested!!!!

Pros: Great location. Lovely hotel with wonderful room. Very nice staff all around. We will definitely return!!

Pros: The King Executive Suite was more than perfect. It was comfortable and had a great view overlooking commonwealth avenue. The extra space and the window seats were perfect after a long day of meetings! The staff was extremely courteous when I forgot some of my own toiletry items and were quick to my assistance.
Cons: The refrigerator made some loud noises but other than that there was nothing I didn’t like.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The classy and sophistication of the room.
Cons: The fact that there wasn’t enough bottle water in the refrigerator

Pros: Nice room, good view and location. Staff were very helpful. Concierge Jeffrey was very helpful in obtaining our boarding passes since business center was closed for repairs.
Cons: Had several instances where room keys didn't work in elevator or room entry. Room was hot, AC didn't seem to work the first night. Complimentary or more reasonably priced breakfast would have been nice considering we paid for 2 rooms. $29 per person
6,7 Good
Pros: Room was comfortable but it was right on top of the restaurant awning. Hotel was very clean , the staff were very courteous.
Cons: The small refrigerator in the room did not work well . We were unable to use it at all.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. Very friendly and helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations
Cons: Offer guests morning coffee from the restaurant , instead of directing everyone to the onsite Starbucks or telling them to drink the in room "coffee" !
6,7 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. The location is fantastic.
Cons: The view was disappointing. The bar inside clises pretty early. No bathrooms except what is in your room so if your friend is in the clear glass shower, you cant even go to the bathroom anywhere!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The whole stay was great, the staff a d the food was wonderful rate a 10!
Cons: Nothing!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The "Club" breakfast was quite good - better than many similar "included" breakfasts for hotel club members. Also, the staff was very attentive, front desk, restaurant and housekeeping. Everyone made the stay pleasant and memorable.
Cons: The bar - which is well located, seemed to have little variety in the way of ciders and beers. In an area of the country so well known for these things, the sense was that there was not much effort put into consideration for promoting these wonderful local offerings. Example - they had only one cider available and it was a "national" brand, from the area mind you, but still....
7,5 Good
Pros: We thought the prices on the breakfast menu were a bit steep, along with the children’s menu as well.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect! Loved walking to aquarium and shops and restaurants at Quincy market and boat tours ! Hotel was clean. Room small but was fine to sleep 4, not much drawers no dresser, just two smalll drawers under tv. Pool small so too crowded
Cons: Pool too small

Pros: The bedding (down comforter, great pillows), and the air quality/climate control were outstanding. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, and the bed was actually more comfortable than my bed and home (and I'm fussy). The pool was excellent.

Pros: The staff were lovely and the availability of tea and coffee in the front lounge 24 hours made it a very homely stay. The street it was in was very central to the convention centre where I was attending but it felt more like a homestay than a generic hotel. Plenty of restaurants and eating places in great vibe. L

Pros: The Bistro was wonderful and my teenage kids loved trying the food. The waitstaff was patient and flexible. Breakfast the next 2 mornings was great. Rooms were perfect and clean. We parked at the Conference Center parking lot and walked easily to the property. Fantastic location, very safe, very convenient, nicely kept historic hotel.
Cons: There was a little confusion about the upstairs and downstairs restaurants. However, we enjoyed the Bistro once we settled there. We were disappointed that the adjoining bakery was not in business. My family would have enjoyed having it next door. Still, not disappointed by the hotel or restaurant.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious, the staff great, and the location fine. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean.
Cons: The DVD player didn’t work, the ac made loud clunking noises every time it came on, and our room faced a construction zone across the alley. Given all this we found it pricey.

Pros: Location was great right next to the park! Staff was very friendly!
Cons: They charge for internet. In this day and age I find it crazy to charge for internet. Especially considering the nightly rate and the fact that all their competitors hotels around like the four seasons or even the intercontinental offer it to their guests.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This Boston Ritz has all the comfort and beauty along with the wonderful customer service one is accustomed to with all Ritz Properties. The bed was heaven, the room modern yet classy, cozy, plush and very spacious.

Pros: Hotel was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the food at the club level and the staff there was second to none. The overall cleanliness of the hotel excellent. We brought our dog for the first time and everyone treated us with open arms and respect. They loved our dog Isabelle. The only thing that I did not particularly like was the temperature in the artesian restaurant. It was extremely extremely cold while we were having breakfast both days. Unfortunately while the big windows are beautiful looking out they do not keep the in.
