Pros: Location and amenities. If we asked for it we got it. Yoga mat, ice, corkscrew, and maintenance. We had one of the newly renovated rooms which was really beautiful. Fantastic view into the harbour.
Cons: Some of the new renovations were not checked thoroughly for functionality. Toilet ran and needed adjustment. The sliding door into the bathroom could not be opened or closed without significant effort. Maintenance could not fix it as the door is too heavy
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a true 5 star experience
Cons: The AC in the room had a very strong fan, even when turned down low - it did not extend to the bed so it worked for me but if I had sat at the desk, it was to the point of uncomfortable. But the overall hotel experience was first rate.

THE ENTIRE SEAPORT DISTRICT IS UNDERGOING A MASSIVE BUILDING BOOM; NEW MUSEUMS, RESTAURANTS AND ACROSS THE HARBOR A MASSIVE CASINO UP THE MYSTIC RIVER THAT RIVALS ANY CASINO IN VEGAS. WE WERE GIVEN THE 'ROYAL TREATMENT' BY THE EXCELLENT STAFF.

Pros: Small classy hotel .. Comfy beds .. My favorite hotel to stay in Boston ..
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. Hotel was beautiful, comfortable and very clean.
Cons: Service in dining room was poor. The manager told me I was reading the menu incorrectly, then once I pointed it out to her, she acknowledged I was correct. Later came back to tell me that I should remember for future reference that what was printed on the menu was actually wrong and what she told me was right!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: EVERTHING! The hotel it self is so beautiful and the staff makes it even more beautiful. We had a few interactions with Alex at the reception and he really deserved a big compliment. Will definitely be back sooner than later.
Cons: Nothing! There is not a single thing to even remotely complain about. It is the perfect place to spend your vacation.

Pros: Staff was great...got beautiful room upgrade and location is can't beat.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bed linens were extremely luxurious! Fantastic location. Attentive hardworking staff - especially concierge and bell.
Cons: Even though the windows were double paned, I was able to hear drunken passersby on the street at 2am. Bathtubs are a bit outdated.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful & friendly
Cons: Parking is typical downtown - crowded
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Lenox was in the perfect location for walking to restaurants & shops. We were here for our anniversary & staff left champagne with chocolates in our room! The room had many conveniences. The bed was comfortable and turn down service was the standard.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everything. Staff was awesome, room perfectly clean, everyone friendly, perfect location.
Cons: that we had to leave on check out.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Superb location in Boston on Boyston St and within few minutes walk of all main shopping , art galleries , eateries & Boston Common . The young lady concierge Stephanie was excellent in terms of professional , polite , informative and great personality .
Cons: Everything else - the hotel is in need of complete refurbishment , the breakfast is poor , my room #1123 was cold and noise constantly emanating from a/c & heating unit and whatever plant & machinery was adjoining the room . The staff were disinterested , unprofessional and had no personality . I don’t recall seeing any senior management overseeing staff . My colleague and I walked out the bar after waiting 15 minutes to be served and it wasn’t even that busy - bar staff seemed content to just serve small number of regular customers that they knew and ignored us completely .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the doorman! So helpful and friendly, professional attitude. Also loved the restaurant! Every staff member was wonderful
Cons: Nothing
1,0 Poor
Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Room 419 heater did not work. It was freezing and engineering told us the the temperature was 75 degrees when it felt like 35 degrees. Heater was fixed after two hours; however, the heater was so loud, like an airplane engine.
Four Seasons Hotel Boston - Boston - Bedroom

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Four Seasons Hotel Boston in Boston (Downtown Boston), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Newbury Street and Boston Public Garden. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, nice clean and comfortable!
7,0 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast, especially if you get a window seat. Great location. Smooth check-in and check-out. They added a bidet for us and always very quick with room service. Had unlimited complementary water and would always place extra when they do the turndown service which I appreciate. The staff were always very nice.
Cons: I requested a half day extension but they unfortunately didn't accommodate us even though I checked to see if they had available rooms and they did. The bed was a little uncomfortable and they had the typical duvet sandwiched in two flat sheets, which I quite dislike in American Hotels.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly
Cons: First day we were out for 6 hours then returned to the room we had left and had to ask for the housekeeper to visit
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Bed & pillows very comfortable! Staff very friendly! Great location!
Cons: Service at Breakfast very slow even when not busy ! The Breakfast Tea was never Hot enough ! Would have liked separate Lounge !

Overview Reviews
A stay at The Verb Hotel places you in the heart of Boston, steps from Fenway Park and Kenmore Square. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
9,2 Excellent
Cons: Parking price
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating after we explained our situation. They even allowed us late checkout. Great place
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was good and it was decorated very retro and on trend. Not a typical hotel chain where everything looks the same. I also liked that they had complimentary coffee and water in the lobby and the room.
Cons: The fan was broken in the room and I mentioned it to two people at the front desk. Both said that they would send someone up with a replacement. That did not happen. Front desk associates were chatting with the valet or using a personal cell.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, easy to find, and the vibe of the hotel is amazing. It’s really clean and cozy inside, staffs are very polite, friendly and helpful.
Cons: I just wish the breakfast could have more hot food like scrambled eggs and sausages.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, friendly hospitable staff. Great comfortable room. Superb location. Sam and Joe run the desk perfectly. I could write 10 paragraphs regarding expert attention to detail.
Cons: There is nothing I didn't like. This hotel is excellent in every respect. It's also a lot of fun. This shall be my Boston area hotel from here on.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, great location, fun vibe!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I actually loved the quirkiness of the property. It was extremely well executed. The breakfast food was terrific! America, on the whole, has absolutely no idea what healthy or fresh food looks like. Verb on the other hand does, so it is a refreshing surprise to get edible produce in America. I thought the turntable was odd to start with, but after putting on 'Let it be' a couple of times, I was a convert. Thank you for the surprise. I also loved the professionalism of the staff. I got to see a staff meeting and was impressed.
Cons: The parking is an absolute ripoff so had to park elsewhere. I thought $35 was bad in LA. Verb was close to double. Also, a weird rule that you cannot have drinks in your room unless purchased from the bar next door. Not that we breached the rule, but just odd. Also, please get rid of the weird robes.
6,0 Good
Pros: the way the hotel had a theme of music and was different to normal
Cons: When we got there, there was another charge of $16.00 to use the pool and bar which we were not told about previously. Also we used the pool but there was nowhere to get drinks until 5pm, would have been good to have somewhere to get drinks.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Large, clean rooms, comfortable bed! The hotel has a fun and unique vibe. Vinyl and a turntable in each room is a great touch.
Cons: The coffee was weak and watery.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Superb location, staff, room size and comfort. Fantastic.
Cons: The only drawbacks are: expensive breakfast for the limited food offerings and the bar doesn’t smell good. But the goods easily outweighs the bads.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: no
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The whole package was amazing, from the rooms to the public areas.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location. Easy to get to everything. We didn’t even need a car.
Cons: For the price, room was small and cramped.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Nice staff let us check in early. Had no problem with us hanging out in the lobby when our flight was delayed.
Cons: REALLY tiny room. Kind of a snooty vibe, even though the "Downtown Crossing" neighborhood is a little sketchy. Be careful walking around at night!
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Room had a strange layout, was very dark. Only had 1 window to an inner courtyard, very dark.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: The bathroom door was a sliding wooden door that does not lock and staying with multiple people where a bathroom door doesn't shut/lock probably was the only odd thing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing! Location amazing and we really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean room and hotel in general. Porter at the door to open and close the door every time you enter/leave. Great location - close to the shops, South Station and Boston Common. 7,1 Good

Cons: "valet" parking was a joke. So expensive to park and they did not bring the car to the front of the hotel, even when the elevator was broken. I had to carry my bags around the hotel and down stairs. Nobody at the hotel offered any kind of assistance. Unacceptable for the cost. I am so disappointed, won't stay there again likely.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was not the best, especially for the price. Some of the rooms they advertise are much nicer then the one we got. But it was overall nice, and I would stay again. The staff is the best staff for a hotel I have had.

Pros: Staff and the location are great would recommend staying here again! Restaurants and bars on site made for convenient stay. Very close to Fenway as well as Bolyston street. Kenmore green line next door.

Pros: location was great. close to Fenway Park and Back Bay shopping. The rate was good but had an additional $25 plus tax "ammenity" fee.
Cons: The $25 fee plus tax on top of nightly rate is annoying. The small items they include all typically always included in the nightly rate at 4.5 star hotels.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: A nice hotel with clean, spacious rooms near Fenway Park, about 10 min walk to Newbury street shopping, 15 min to Prudential Center. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom with high quality toiletries (Malin+Goetz), a nice, separate living area. Breakfast at the Eastern Standard Grill was excellent, well worth the extra$, weekend brunch was a deal, also great service by the courteous staffs. A Starbucks & a convenient store right next door. Hi speed Wifi's good. In all, we had a very pleasant stay there for the whole week.
Cons: The first night, there was a very noisy neighbor and I could hear this lady arguing with someone quite clearly until 3am!! Horrible! Guess they checked out so the rest of the week was just fine, only some noise when people talked by the corridor. No in-room coffee/tea maker.

Pros: We drove from NJ and arrived before check-in. Our room was ready. The room was very spacious and nice. Having a smart TV in the room was a plus. It was within walking distance of all the sights we expected to visit. But be sure to have tour walking shoes.
Cons: It was a 30 min walk from the Freedom Trail. Only two small free water bottles provided. Were charged $58 per day for valet parking. We only stayed 2 days.

Pros: Everyone we went to for assistance/questions was able to help us immediately. Even though my wife and I were there to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary we both ended up having to do some work and the business area was perfect. Not to mention having a Starbucks right in the lobby.
Cons: We have nothing negative to say. Everything went perfectly.

Pros: Lovely building and room. Great location.
Cons: Poor service in the restaurant with main course brought to the table when only halfway through starter. Bearing in mind the cost of the food (and $22 for a glass of wine) plus the fact that at the time there were only four tables occupied in the restaurant it was not the service that we expected, but the restaurant manager was not interested and said it was normal to serve food when “fresh” regardless of timing.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, good view and location. Staff were very helpful. Concierge Jeffrey was very helpful in obtaining our boarding passes since business center was closed for repairs.
Cons: Had several instances where room keys didn't work in elevator or room entry. Room was hot, AC didn't seem to work the first night. Complimentary or more reasonably priced breakfast would have been nice considering we paid for 2 rooms. $29 per person

Pros: Nice rooms and bathroom.
Cons: This hotel doesn't provide free bottled water in the rooms, at this price point that is unusual and poor practice.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the location being so close to Harvard. The room was great and fell a notch above what I was expecting.
Cons: The pool was not part of the hotel but connected and therefore had weird restrictions on kids using the pool.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Racist
Cons: Racist folks. Will never go back. In fact, I believe to have been overcharged. I will contact Amex on this.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: The price is always so high.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. The room was very nice and comfortable. Excellent farm to table restaurant and bar.
Cons: Although they had a parking garage, the elevator to the lobby was out of order so you had to take the stairs and the stairs lead to outside the front entrance. Very inconvenient if carrying any bags from the car and also because of sub-zero temps that weekend. Also no in and out access for self parking at $40 per night. If you leave you have to pay again.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Room service very fast, and extremely polite room service staff. Beleaguered front desk staff dealing with irate guests kept their patience. They need more support from mgmt. Restaurant is good; really good coffee in lobby in early a.m.
Cons: Multiple, extended power outages occurred; Hotel said due to construction, not their fault--yet construction was on their premises. Fire? alarm problems, PA messages = epic fail. Insufficient instruction to guests. Requested wakeup call--did not receive.
7,0 Good
Pros: Good location, cozy rooms
Cons: The walls are paper thin, it was tough to sleep at night as people would be coming late intoxicated and I could hear everything. I think the room service is a bit overpriced, and Henrietta’s kitchen is overrated
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bedding (down comforter, great pillows), and the air quality/climate control were outstanding. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, and the bed was actually more comfortable than my bed and home (and I'm fussy). The pool was excellent.
Cons: No coffee maker in the room. Refrigerator packed with overpriced bar stuff. I was annoyed, but the NY Times outside the door in the morning put the smile back on my face.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great with excellent service and nice trait ants around in the plaza

Pros: Location is perfect, rooms are well-appointed, spacious, super comfortable bed. Dining and beverage selections are great.
Cons: Loud wall clock in room.

Pros: Location
Cons: The room was overpriced and shabby - the entire property needs a facelift.

Pros: Loved the decor, the overall design of the rooms and the open areas. Great location. Great idea to have free tea/coffee and snacks available. Helpful staff. Fabulous building. Bedroom was spacious, clean, good quality furnishings and bedding.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: One of our favorite hotels ever and we have travelled extensively. This is our new go to hotel for the area. We will be back! The merchant has beautiful architecture and design. Great staff. We had a wine and cheese night in the beautiful parlor one stormy night and it was absolutely perfect for capturing that October Salem vibe. The rooms seem to be very well sound proofed and we did not hear a peep from any other guests even though the hotel was fully booked all 4 nights we stayed.
Cons: Very minor and known prior to our visit: 1. No elevators made lugging luggage about during check in and check out a minor pain. That said, an elevator would diminish the feel of the home. Just be prepared for this fact and you will be good. 2. Limited on site parking. Again, known before we arrived. See tips for advice here.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, hot coffee always available, snacks Location was amazing Interior design and style was incredible! Every room was stunning
Cons: A few recommendations - Dim the lights slightly in the evening to make it more inviting Wine instead of just hard alcohol and mixers in the evenings! Would be great if you could offer reimbursement or passes to the nearby YMCA
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We went there for Salem's Halloween Happenings. The Merchant was within walking distance of every place we wanted to visit. It was warm, cozy and the attention to details was very impressive. The breakfast served in the morning was a welcome delight to get us on our day's adventures, and it was also a chance to socialize with some of the other guests (we met some really nice people!). Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Tommy and Tamara were the most friendly and helpful hosts we could have asked for. We will definitely be back! :o)

9,4 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It's not Fancy, but if you are just passing through its perfect! It was close enough to go see the heart of Salem without having all the hustle and bustle and noise...and it's right off the main drag through town!
Cons: Our room didn't have a microwave or fridge, but we didn't need one either. It may be a detrimental factor to others, though.
4,8 Okay
Pros: Room size, Clean
Cons: Could not close window curtain if you wanted to use air conditioner. Extremely outdated. TV too small, No list of TV channels, no security lock on door. Bathroom water faucet difficult to use. Too expensive for what you get.

Pros: Great location. Good parking. Breakfast was delightful. Air conditioning was excellent and we had a thermostat. Good value for center of Salem.
Cons: Stayed in the Curwen House adjunct lodging, a short walk from the main building. On the third floor. No elevator (which was listed in ad). Dragging luggage up stairs was no fun; no help. Bathroom small but adequate. Not fancy but fine.

Pros: Location and charms of old home.
Cons: Too noisy. Heater, gas, plumbing, thin floors, hallway/check-in noise and traffic. Our room was right behind check in desk. Bad location for any guest.

Pros: I loved my stay at the Salem Inn. It was a short walk to all the downtown Salem attractions, but super close to the Witch House and Ropes Mansion. All the staff was extremely helpful and kind. The hotel was very clean, and I loved my jacuzzi tub!
6,0 Good
Pros: Location, it was right in the centre of the historic district.
Cons: First reaction wasn’t very good, room smelt stale and in need of updating. We were moved, upgraded and room was much better. We were in curwen house round the corner from the main Salem Inn. Breakfast was in main building so wasn’t impressed in fact we didn’t bother as it was raining really hard.

Pros: We like the house itself,,beautiful and kept up nicely..A real homey atmosphere...convenient location for restaurant and tourist activities..
Cons: 3rd floor is where we stayed,,no elevator,,stairway's too steep ..wouldnt take the 3rd floor again! Its a touch over priced...

Pros: Room was spacious and clean (king suite). Nice quantity of k-cups. Bed and pillows comfortable.
Cons: Room was facing parking lot and right next to elevator, so view was non existent and we heard elevator.
6,0 Good
Pros: Friendliness of staff
Cons: Rooms needing a fix me up. Ac was loud and walls and furniture was banged up
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful front desk, and housekeeping kept our room spotless. The robes in our room were a nice touch.
6,8 Good
Pros: Christmas decor was gorgeous and there were Christmas cookies and hot cider offered on entering. The whole lobby smelled of cinnamon which I found charming. Bathrooms offered an extensive number of amenities and bottled water and robes. We mostly enjoyed the restaurant as well. Location was great, could walk to the Salem walking tour and many historic attractions.
Cons: Check in was very slow and an elevator was broken giving off a constant beeping. My sirloin was undercooked, even after sending it back twice and it took minutes and my announcing myself to be seated for breakfast even though there was only one other customer. But most disappointing was the way my young adult son was questioned when he came back into the hotel in the morning after making a trip to the car. He was making a cup of coffee and front desk staff approached him accusingly, asking him to verify his room number to assure he was indeed a guest. He was shocked and offended.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. They were always available to answered questions and make suggestions. Overall it was a great experience.
Cons: I did not like having to turn out of the parking lot when I had to move my car. There was a bank in the way making it a one way and less than ideal with Halloween traffic patterns.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is amazing. Loved the local shops and restaurants just a few hundred feet away. Downtown and many local sites within walking distance.
Cons: The bar drinks were too strong and not properly made. Bartender was very friendly, cheerful and attentive but her drinks were just awful. Just might need a bit of retraining and encouragement and she would be awesome.
