Pros: The rooms were quaint and typical of the period they aimed to replicate. The lounge was comfortable and cosy again the decor was in a very keeping with its period. The spa was very relaxing and well maintained. Staff were always helpful and friendly.

Pros: My favorite part was the spacious walk-in shower with two rain showers and a sprayer—and most importantly, a non-slip floor. Our room looked out on a large light well, not pretty, but very light, and extremely quiet.
Cons: The rack for the suitcase had a shelf above it that my husband banged his head on. The bed was a bit hard, but I realize that that is a matter of taste.

Pros: The location was great, very close to all the major points of interest. It was pedestrian only zone so no traffic noise. The room was very quiet so conducive to sleeping and relaxing. The room was pretty big for European standards with a sitting area and separate area for sleeping, plenty of closet space and room for luggage. The bathroom was also very spacious with a large shower with 2 rain heads. The staff did a very good job cleaning it daily. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a good variety of food items, nice selection of cold cuts, cheeses, fresh mozzarella, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, scrambled eggs, cereal, fresh and canned fruits, yogurts, rolls and variety of delicious croissants, jams, nuts and some tasty cakes not to forget small packs of various snacks and of course various juices and tea and coffee served by the staff. One lady at the reception desk was particularly nice and the servers in the breakfast room.
Cons: Since the hotel doesn’t have its own parking, it was very difficult to find the parking garage close by. Before our arrival I sent a message via booking.com asking for information regarding parking options in the vicinity but I didn’t receive any reply. After driving around for an hour and asking several people, by pure luck we came across Santo Stefano parking garage, which was not far away. We were lucky again running into a very nice couple who helped us with locating our hotel. However, it’s not easy for seniors to get the luggage to the hotel. My husband had to make few trips and no assistance was offered. Also the mattress was a bit too hard for me to sleep but that’s subjective and others may like it.

The Best Western Plus Hotel Genova, a nineteenth-century building located in Turin city center next to Via Roma and piazza Carlo Felice, has 83 rooms furnished with all the modern comforts. Only five minutes away from the famous "Portici," built by Vittorio Emanuele, where you can find typical coffee shops, restaurants and good shopping. Every room has different furniture and the hotel has three different meeting rooms for up to 60 people, with a coffee break service. Not to be missed the Wellness center with a spa and a gym. Pros: The fitness room offers all you need for a work-out on a business trip. The breakfast options are wide and the quality is acceptable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I expected a slightly bigger breakfast option (I was missing vegetables). The wifi on my phone didn't work. Also an alternative wifi offered did not work. (They would have found a solution for me, but by then I wasn't in the mood anymore to spend additional time on fixing that.)

Pros: Enrico Masiero at the front desk has the most excellent customer service skills I have ever had the pleasure to experience. He was genuinely welcoming and made sure everything about our stay was excellent. The rooms are beautiful and this hotel is better than many 5 star hotels.
Cons: The owner, Giuseppe Borio, sits in main reception and is unfriendly and glares in a hostile and rude manner at guests. He ruins the ambience at the hotel and anyone encountering him will get a bad impression of this lovely hotel and it's superb staff. He made us feel very unwelcome and I hope his hostility was not driven by religious or ethnic prejudice.

The whole place has a slightly old fashioned feel to it but in a good way. The breakfast buffet provided a reasonable variety of both sweet and savoury items and we enjoyed being able to eat out on the terrace. Staff were helpful and efficient.

Pros: The Hotel is beautiful, and my room was nice and very spacious. The bed was a bit too firm for me, but other than that, it was lovely. The bathroom was nice and well equipped, The breakfast spread was wonderful, a very large and varied selection, including scrambled eggs and warm ham, which I didn’t find anywhere else in the 7 places I stayed in France and Italy on this vacation. The staff was helpful when I asked directions to places, and they let me store my luggage after check out. Additionally, the location right next to the train station was very convenient, and the airport shuttle is right across the square. It’s in a nice area with upscale shops.
Cons: The croissants and the baked cakes were not so good, dry, and a bit tasteless, but the other breakfast choices were good.

You can open some windows but the AC also worked, wifi worked well, there is a safe and a small fridge. Beds were comfortable. You can park your car for 19 euro a day in a closed-off garage, we could leave the car till 15:00 on the check out day which was great, they even cleaned the window shields which was a very nice gesture. A big lobby with lots of nice seatings to relax. Did not take the breakfast as we had no time. It will take you 10 minutes to reach the city centre and train station by foot. Can absolutely recommend.

Pros: The room and the bathroom were very large. The bathroom had full accessibility. The bed was very comfortable and the climatisation just perfect. There were two tv screens oriented towards the two beds, coffee machine and minibar. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. The general impression is of a warm welcome. The location is not really central, but it is very well connected by subway and buses. There is a very good cafeteria/bakery at the street corner.
Cons: Despite the very large dimensions of the bathroom, the wc was positioned in a corner, behind the sink, in a strange and uncomfortable position.

Pros: The hotel was decent all around. The staff were very nice and responded to all needs. Bus station very close and you could buy the tickets at the reception. I went for a conference for 4 days and this hotel was suitable for me to come back and rest. The price was some of the cheapest I could find for a 3-star hotel and I feel like I got the value for money. All in all this was a good choice for me.
Cons: The food at breakfast wasn't the best, but acceptable nonetheless. Not much of a view outside the room, but wasn't really an issue for me. The internet in the room was ok, although not very high speeds.

I wanted to be above the 2nd floor, and we were given the 5th one. I and my family liked very much my stay in this hotel. I liked also that we had a convinient and safe car parking. The hotel was renewed and it looked really new and clean. With new furniture.

Pros: As a platinum guest I anticipated a better experience and was disappointed. The room was clean, but the AC/Heater malfunctioned and the room was like a sauna all night. The hotel was adjacent to a huge parking lot and nothing nearby to walk to. The "smoke free" hotel masked the smoke that came from the large group on the patio smoking with what smelled like very strong men's cologne. Staff were friendly but not very attentive or concerned about our needs. They laughed when I asked if there was a concierge to talk with about restaurant suggestions - "No!" Was their response. When I asked how the hotel restaurant they said "good, but what else am I going to say? I can't tell you it isn't...".

But in Italy that is not so often with hotels, so this is a big plus. Eggs, bacon, and also Italian pastry, selection of cheese and some other good stuff. AC works, the internet connection works, if you traveled through Italy you will know to appreciate this information. Elevators are fun.
Cons: As someone who has traveled all over the country for the last 7 years, I cannot shake off the feeling that the Italian stars system is really outdated. If you expect any luxury, which you probably should from a 4-star hotel then this hotel is completely wrong place. In Holand, for example, this would be 2 to 3 stars place, and I am quite sure 2. Furniture looks like it has been there since the 80s, TV, well it is not CRT but it is the size of a laptop screen, the carpets have seen better times. In the minibar is just water on price 2Euros for a half of a liter bottle. Bathroom could be cleaner and could definitely use a renovation.
