Pros: The apartment/Cabin was spotless, stylish & comfortable. It was away from the main house & very private. The gardens are beautiful & parklike with lots of birdlife. You need a car it's in a lovely acerage estate just outside town but close to the highway. It's an easy 5 or so minutes drive into the town centre. Our hosts were friendly. We wished we were staying longer. The spa was lovely.
Cons: We were surprised that the washing machine wasn't for guest use. Not a problem for our brief stay but could be for a longer stay. You might need to check on this.

Pros: The friendly hosts gave us an upgrade to two suites, one next door for the kids. Being able to bring our dog made it extra special. Great parking right outside the suite with lots of space and garden. BBQ we could have used too. Quiet and peaceful.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful proprietors - nothing was any trouble and unsolicited, helpful suggestions and assistance were offered on several occasions. A welcome surprise to find access to laundry facilities without charge too.
Cons: Our unit, while being immaculately clean, was slightly dated, especially the bathroom (however, we noted that bathroom upgrades appeared to be ongoing); e.g. shower head too low, shower curtain instead of enclosed unit with door, no bench space

Pros: BEST PLACE to stay in Invercargill. Home away from home. Wally and Maria go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. Even before we arrived they were assisted with picking my mother up from the airport. Hospitable in everyway. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our week stay. Knowledgeable about the area and what to see helped us plan our touring around Invercargill. AND as a bonus if your lucky ask Maria for her famous Cheese Scones, they are amazing. Thank you both for making our stay at Invercargill great it raised the bar for comfort and service and we will be back again.

Pros: Very welcoming thoughtful hosts who offered several options to suit our family (I have a disability which Maria was aware of, and made arrangements to ensure a safe stay).
Cons: Nothing. It’s traditional style motel accommodation which has been given a great modern uplift. Have stayed in different places in the city over the years. This was our nicest experience.

Pros: Second time we have stayed here and were as impressed as much as the first time. Lovely old hotel beautifully restored retaining many original features. Lovely large bedroom with very comfortable bed, good sized bathroom with bath and shower. Food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast. Pros: Tracey was very helpful and appreciate the breakfast she provided and still came through for us even though we were leaving early the next day by delivering meal the evening before which was great so we didn't miss out.
Cons: Nothing not to like. Facilities were clean. I liked how a basket was put in bathroom to chuck used towels in it. With most accommodation, you end up chucking it all on the floor or on whatever little railing there is. Fridge was stocked with milk. Nice bath products used. Alot of pre-thought made with the customer in mind and room felt comfy as.

Pros: Quite a good layout with lots of parking and entry/ exit options. We had everything we needed for our short visit, and we advised the staff of a faulty light fixture. Motel very clean and comfortable.
Cons: The only issue that we both noted was that when we went to get out of the shower, because the shower box is raised , getting out onto a tile floor was a risky venture for older people. Perhaps a suction handrail inside the shower near the door?

Pros: Nice clean and comfortable place to stay which easily catered for 4 adults and 2 children. Location is a plus close to supermarkets and main CBD. Fully function kitchens a plus for family.

Pros: Very warm and friendly welcome, room was simple, but very clean and everything we needed for our stay. Staff were all pleasant to deal with and helpful with local suggestions.
Cons: A small table would be useful to sit a plate on while sitting in the chairs. Indeed, a small table with sitting chairs might possibly be more useful than the two armchairs. Just an idea, certainly wasn't a problem for us, our stay was great in all aspects..

Pros: Tracey was very helpful and appreciate the breakfast she provided and still came through for us even though we were leaving early the next day by delivering meal the evening before which was great so we didn't miss out.
Cons: Nothing not to like. Facilities were clean. I liked how a basket was put in bathroom to chuck used towels in it. With most accommodation, you end up chucking it all on the floor or on whatever little railing there is. Fridge was stocked with milk. Nice bath products used. Alot of pre-thought made with the customer in mind and room felt comfy as.

Pros: Outstanding host went the extra kilometre by letting us park a rental car and leave luggage securely for some days while we visited Rakiura/Stewart Island. Very warm and accommodating person.
