We really loved the overall experience of the hotel however there were 2 items that would have made our experience better. 1) Our stay at the hotel was in late September and it was still warm outside and the air conditioner in the hotel was already cut off for the season. So, it made for uncomfortable sleeping circumstances. Yes, a window could have been open, but the insects will eat you alive. 2) My husband and I are close to the Baby Boomer age traveling from the US for vacation our 1st time in Italy. We do not speak Italian and it was 2 gentlemen that work the front desk area for morning and evening shifts that were not very welcoming in their demeanor when it came to answering questions on some of the basic things available locally, transportation, dining, etc. I remember spending a whole afternoon traveling around in the Porta Nuova neighborhood nearby asking questions at the bus depot for the best route getting back to the Milan airport when the staff on duty could have helped us with this simple task. A nice bus driver that spoke English well took the few minutes to explain the options and we were great from there.
