We were very pleased with the way the food and beverage staff, especially the food and beverage manager, took care of guests.
The bed was extremely comfortable

Staff couldn’t comprehend that I had three separate bookings for same type of room over 7 days and wished to stay in the same room. My request notifying the hotel of this through original booking on booking.com was not forwarded to the hotel. Staff demanded that I pay an extra $US 50 per night for ‘incidentals’ or use of room service, security deposit that was not able to paid in cash and as they have advised might take over a week to be returned to my account. I am staying for seven days. Other hotels, even doubletrees, do not insist on this. (There is no consumables/minibar in the room). It took about 10 minutes to provide me a receipt for this extra charge and that was a screen shot that the staff member then had to write the amount extra that had been deducted from my account in texta/felt tipped pen as this printout actually did not include the extra fee and no recognition that this would be returned or over what sort of time period. I had to argue the fact that breakfast had been included in original booking as well as the hotel did not have confirmation of this and tried to charge me an extra $US 16.00 per day. In using their small shop on the ground floor to buy drinks/snacks I then had to wait for about 5 minutes for the staff who had no idea how to provide a receipt. When they did this receipt showed the costs of my whole booking for that day and not the actual cost of what I had just purchased so I had to return to the checkin desk to go through the process again. I had specifically requested and confirmed through front desk that the room was not to be serviced daily as it is unnecessary to have towels etc changed so often. I still have the housekeeping staff knocking on the door every morning who are not aware of this. Bathroom sink is blocked.
