9,6 Excellent
Pros: We spent the end of our 3 week Egypt travels here and are really glad we chose to stay at this hotel. It was nice and quiet, and right on the Nile which was a beautiful way to end our holiday. Staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel was amazing, with so many restaurants to choose from. The pool was perfect. Our room was clean and had a great view of the Nile and city. I would only recommend ensuring the mini bar and tea in the room is re-stocked daily. Not a huge issue as we just called reception and asked for more black tea and cola, but just a little feedback. Otherwise our stay here was perfect!

Pros: Everything about this place is beyond expectations! Brilliant staff Abdul, Kamal, Tito, Hamad, Mehmud and everyone else is so polite and helpful. Kamal offered tea everytime you see him. The rooftop views are amazing. The pyramids are at a walking distance. Highly recommended and my favourite place to stay in Cairo.

Pros: The staff was very helpful, assisted us in everything from buying souvenirs to getting as a tour guide. Even allowed us to stay in the room with no extra charge for a few hours to rest and shower until we had leave for our flights
Cons: Food could have been better for breakfast, but it was an authentic egyptian breakfast so cant really complain
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All of the staff were super friendly and keen to help us make the most of our trip. The breakfast on the rooftop was great overlooking the Sphinx and pyramids.
Cons: We could hear conversations in the corridor through the walls.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly helpful staff and a view for breakfast that is worth a million dollars. Simply breath taking.
Cons: Nothing
7,0 Good
Pros: The staff was really good, treated me like family.
Cons: The rooms were not there most luxurious but it was fair for the price.
7,0 Good
Pros: View from my room was amazing. There was free drinking water in the room and also on the first floor. Staff in the morning was friendly and helpful that was so different from the staff in the evening. --so bad service.
Cons: Easy to buy day tour directly from the hotel but it was more expensive than other websites even after discount. Please check other websites before buying.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were incredibly welcoming and hospitable from the moment we arrived to when we left. They treated us like family and encouraged us to feel at home. They helped us with Uber rides and even a 4am taxi, where they even packed a breakfast to go for us. The location is only steps away from the pyramid entrance and the views from the rooftop are incredible.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The view from the rooftop was the best in Giza. Directly across the street from the sphinx and pyramids. The staff make you feel like family.
Cons: Dogs barking loudly during the night but I was given earplugs.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was so cozy, we got a pyramid view with a balcony. It was well worth it. Sometimes the noise from the street was loud but they give you earplugs just in case, which we didnt end up using. The staff was absolutely incredible, they were there to help with anything we needed. The location is perfect, perfect view of the pyramids and lots of shops and places to eat near by. It was worth the stay!
Cons: Nothing actually. Neither of us could think of one thing we didnt like. We really felt at home and safe and very well taken care of. We really loved this hotel and if we ever come back to cairo we will stay here!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location is great! It is a pretty basic, small hotel but it is family-run, and the staff/family is wonderful! They really make you feel at home. There is hot water, a/c, and it is comfortable enough if you don’t need anything fancy. The owner Samy is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is good. Worth it to pay for a balcony room that faces the pyramids. There is an open rooftop where you can have breakfast and other meals and admire the pyramids and watch the Sound and Light show. Take tours through the hotel, they are a better deal and are more customizable. We had two tours through the hotel, with guide Abdul, and he was great! I wish we would have had him for all the tours! He was a qualified Egyptologist and a friend of the family. I can’t stress enough to ask for tours with Abdul! He was able to get us in to many places/photo spots as he knew everyone, and as two women traveling we felt so safe with him. He went above and beyond to show us as much of his beloved country as he could. Again, as two women, we were careful not to walk around the area at night, but that would be wise in a lot of places. Understand though that this is a fairly basic room/property, but if you are interested in breathtaking views of the pyramids and an intimate and friendly family-run hotel for a great price, this is the hotel for you! Highly recommend!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clean. The rooftop view of the pyramids is excellent. One minute walk to the entrance. You can watch the light show on the rooftop.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The view of the Pyramids/Sphinx is amazing. You are able to witness the nightly "sight and sounds" show, without the price of admission. Additionally, the staff is the greattest. Tito and Kamal made themselves available to assist the us at any hour. And, they made sure that we had a good time while there.
Cons: There are some things we did not like. The view, however, warrants that I don't need to mention those minor issues.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted with warmth and were very well cared for during our recent two night stay at the Fairmont Nile. The concierge service was excellent and facilitated a half day outing to the pyramids and Sphinx. The guide was an Egyptologist and very engaging. He spoke perfect English. The driver was very pleasant. . Concierge Service also helped us arrange train service to Alexandria including getting the tickets in advance. Christina and Ahmed offered superior service, were delightful to work with, and accommodated all our requests. The manager for the Lobby restaurant and bar, Emad was incrdibly gracious and accommodating. The waitstaff were on the ball, friendly, and well trained . The rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Very well maintained and immaculate. Highly recommend the restaurant for breakfast overlooking the Nile. Overall, an excellent stay. We would be very pleased to return.
Cons: My husband and I are not smokers. The lobby and restaurant lin all hotels in Egypt —even the most upscale—include sections for smokers and non-smokers. The problem with this is the smoking section was only about 20 feet away from the non-smoking section and it was impossible not to be affected by the smoke. The manager was very helpful and did request that those who were smoking in a non-smoking area near us move to another section where they were permitted to smoke.

7,0 Good
Pros: The pool and the overall look of the hotel was beautiful, the maids were great always super helpful.
Cons: The agents at the front desk are not friendly, nor is their concierge, they do not say good morning in the morning or showing the courtesy to help you.. the beds are terrible, my mother and I had our beds and they hurt our backs for the 6 days we were there, The hotel is a nice look but its the hospitality that makes your stay worth it or not and its unfortunate that this is something that they lack

Pros: My wife and I made the reservation in this hotel not knowing the story, only reviews online. To our surprise, since day one we were in love with everything. The story is fascinated, everyone in the hotel made us feel like a queen and king. Top service, friendly staff and a wonderful experience.
Cons: Breakfast box we ordered one morning in the morning was really cheap.
7,4 Good
Pros: Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Mena house hotel did not not honor the rate I secured with kayak. This in turn left me feeling a bit bitter of the whole experience.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Right next to the pyramids!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The views of the pyramids while having breakfast, lunch or dinner were stunning, day and night. The grounds were gorgeous - lush gardens, water pools etc.
Cons: Don't go in the winter season. After 5 phone calls to the assistant manager, guest services rep etc. and 2 visits from electricians, the room remained cold and only cold air poured into the room. When the temperature outside is 8 degrees, this is unacceptable. Two days of shivering and then finally housekeeping on my last night brought a small portable heater to put on the floor. On checking out, the front desk staff shrugged and said that it really was too bad....as they charged $200 US per night. Really?! That's all?
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Awful smell of smoke, everywhere. Poor service. Stunning views, but horrid smell of smoke.
Cons: Awful
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Location, and Service
Cons: It’s Egypt sooooo yeah there’s a ton of people trying to take advantage of you, some work for the hotel most wait just outside the gate
4,5 Okay
Pros: The restaurants.
Cons: The staff members. A package was trying to be delivered to the hotel that I was using for business purposes. Three times did they turn away the delivery guy without informing me. Once I asked them if anyone had attempted to drop off a package the answer was no, and no one was willing to look into it. Being a platinum elite member with Marriott I was honestly wondering why I invest in the chain with that type of customer service. Beyond poor, and with the feeling of the client being an inconvenience. Such a shame with a location like that.
5,0 Okay
Cons: I called before I booked my reservation asking if the pool is heated or not and the reception confirmed and when I went there I made sure again but I found out its not heated! , i sent an email for birthday decorations but i was surprised that I didn’t find any and neither a sorry that they didn’t do it
9,2 Excellent
Pros: amazing breakfast pyramides view
Cons: more healthy food options vegan glutenfree more natural would be nice

3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Location. A view of the pyramids of Giza and a short five minute cab ride to the ticket office.
Cons: 1. Room is very dirty. I have photos. Mold, hair, dirty upholstery, etc. 2. Staff are apathetic. Not nice but not rude. 3. Security is appreciated (ballards, bomb dogs, metal detector, etc.) but traffic security harassed our tour guide for money.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: You can see the pyramids right from your room (If you select a pyramid view room) and from the pool. Such a surreal experience! The breakfast selection is excellent! Also, if you pay, you can get excellent transportation and tour guides for the pyramids!
Cons: The WiFi times out and you have to keep signing in to continue to use it so my family and I were unable to always communicate with one another well.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, food was amazing, clean at all times.
Cons: Some staff members were rude. Restaurants shut down at 11pm, you can only order room service. Coffee shops and bars close at 1am, which is kind of early. The pool shuts down at sunset, which is lame.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and new
9,0 Excellent
Cons: The bathrooms need some improvement. Anytime you take a shower, there would be water on the floor.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: the location, staff
Cons: Need to pay more attention to keep the place clean, staff need to spend more time cleaning the hotel and less time looking at their mobile phones
7,5 Good
Pros: - Well located by being close to the pyramids. - Food is good
Cons: Unfortunately the front door of our room seemed like it didn’t exist as you could hear tenants leave/enter their rooms throughout the night and their conversations. The Front door sound proofing is not very good.
6,7 Good
Pros: The view from the roof was unmatched- amazing
Cons: Everything else about the hotel was mediocre. Not bad, but not great. Our room wasn’t cleaned for 4 days and our toilet flooded constantly. Broken AC in one of our rooms
10,0 Excellent
Pros: View of pyramids!!
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The location
3,4 Mediocre
Pros: The location is the only thing going for it. Oh.... nice gym. Pool area was nice but it is winter!
Cons: 1. Dirty. Housekeeping is substandard. 2. Food. Just plain blah. School cafeteria quality. 3. Cost. For what you get it’s not even close to being worth it. We checked out early and moved to an airport hotel. It was that bad!
6,0 Good
Pros: The staff was very good. Helpful, accommodating and the ones I spoke with had a good command of English.
Cons: The room was very tired. The couch had a large patch in the upholstery. The couch cushions did not match the couch and the whole thing was so uncomfortable that I piled pillows on it to even sit on it. Carpets are stained and the whole room was due for a serious make over.

Overview Reviews
The Barceló Cairo Pyramids hotel is situated in the legendary city of Cairo, only 4 km from the mythical Giza Plateau; declared a World Heritage Site and home to the famous pyramids of Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure.
6,7 Good
Pros: Well this hotel was ok. It had a good location but we didn’t see the pyramids from the hotel as advertised. The whole hotel reeks of smoke and even though we had a non smoking room it wasn’t a non smoking floor, which doesn’t make sense! The room across the hallway from us was smoking, which lingered into our room. The hotel is beautiful inside with a hair salon that was great and a spa and atm, etc. food was ok. But the smoke smell as soon as you walked in and throughout the hotel reminded me of a Vegas casino. Because is this I won’t bring my big groups and won’t stay here again.
Cons: Smoke smell everywhere!
5,4 Okay
Pros: The pool although it was dirty. If it wasn’t for the pool I would’ve moved hotels altogether.
Cons: Disco in the basement!!!!!! Cleanliness. the food, the service, everything except the pool area.
6,7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and helpful. Great hair salon
Cons: Too smoky- from the moment you step inside the front door. Even our non smoking room was affected as the people across the hall from us smoked. I was surprised it wasn’t a non smoking floor! I won’t stay here again because of this.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was super friendly and the place was an extreme value for money with a Massive buffet breakfast available for guests each day and a beautiful pool area!
Cons: There transferes to places eg the egyptian museum and back, were super over priced in relation to egyptian currency
6,7 Good
Pros: The location was good.
Cons: Never really expected a 4 star hotel to be without water. Issue was fixed but nonetheless an inconvience. Breakfast could have been better.
7,0 Good
Pros: The location was great, Breakfast was great The pool was great but the maintainence wasnt good at all. The staff was friendly
Cons: The pool maintainence wasnt good at all. It was additional for the sauna and steam bath. The hotel should advise or say that the customers have to pay extra for the facilities. This was very dissapointing
