Cons: Check-in, drive-in is far away from 5* experience. Be prepared to drive-in, let your car somewhere in front of the hotel entrance and bring your luggage by yourself ;-) SPA & pool is adult-only. SPA doesn‘t belong to the hotel. Breakfast offer is far away from 5* experience. Very small offer and not tasty at all. After 6 pm no chance to get a cup tea somewhere - there is only one bar. No tea in the room. Be prepared you‘ll get someone from the staff knocking at your door at 10:30 am and asking if you‘ve already checked-out ;-))

Cons: The wifi in the hotel wouldn't connect with my phone. The hotel is located in a very fashionable district, but with limited dining options. Most importantly the hotel DOES NOT provide airport transport, this was the main reason I booked with them. Any hotel can call a taxi to take you to the airport (at your own cost) that should not qualify as airport transport.

Cons: Despite paying for a room for 3, they provided no sheets for the pull out bed. Similarly, not enough towels and certainly not enough coffee in the morning! Room was too warm despite adjusting the A/C to the maximum setting. Strange sulfur smell coming from the bathroom.

My room was very quiet and the bed and pillows were comfortable - so slept very well :) Very centrally located, if you need connection to EC linked meeting spaces, etc. Ideal if you are arriving with train to Shuman as it is just a walk away, same with metro lines 1 and 5. Nice to have a coffee and tea making "machines" in the room. Excellent breakfast buffet - good variety, that covers all tastes :)

Cons: The room was a bit dark and you can tell that the hotel is "used" and has not been refurbished for a couple of years, but everything works and functions. The gym was not that clean and there were no clean cups available for water in the gym - a small thing, but the "devil is in the details".

Cons: It looks like old hotel with 5 stars became 3 stars hotel. The lobby and restaurant were 5-stars. Everything else was not so great. The air conditioning system did not warm the air, hot water pressure subsided after 5 seconds. There were not a lot towels, 3 for each person. And there was some mold in bathroom and a cigarette mark on the curtains. Furniture, doors, sills were scratched. And there were a deposit for minibar of 50 euros per every night. Was a bit surprised, because there were no information about it on hotel's website.

Cons: The air conditioning in the room didn't seem to work - turning the thermostat control down to 16 made no difference, it just carried on showing a room temparature of 23. I carefully followed the instructions"how to adjust the temperature" that were on the wall above the control unit but it made no difference. I had to open the window and the noise of vehicles loading and unloading in the street below kept me awake much of the night. So I complained the next morning but when I returned late that evening it was just the same. A very helpful young engineer came and explained that because the outside temperature was cold, the cooling system had been switched off for the entire hotel - the fan was indeed just recycling the room's already-warm air. The best he could do was to provide an electric fan. I do not think that the hotel should describe itself as airconditioned. It should warn guests that if the outside temparature is low they need to brinig earplugs.

Cons: Not clean, very poor breakfast. There were flies hovering over bread at breakfast, the room was full of dust, the cleaning of the room was done superficial. Overall impression was that nobody was taking care of making sure that there is any cleaning done.

Cons: I had to ask to switch my room twice as I found the rooms depressing and not light or big enough. The room temperature was very cold and I had to ask for a space heater. I found some concierges helpful; others not. The food in their restaurant was not good and I had an issue with something I ordered. I also wished they had made laundry service available. The lobby is very cold and shuts down early, and there is no where to have a drink, read and relax. The bathroom smelled very funny, and I could not get them to fix this. I also received no offer of help with my luggage when I called down to say I was checking out. Overall, this hotel needs updating and to be much more cozy, light and guest friendly. There is a lot they could do to improve.

Cons: We got to the room late in the evening, the receptionist gave us our room key. When we got to our room, our key didn't work. This happens sometimes so we weren't too upset. I came back downstairs and told another guy at the desk that we had just arrived and that our key didn't work. He fixed it and apologized, we headed to our room. When we opened the door, a woman shot up out of bed and asked "who's there". I felt terrible. Tried to apologize quickly as I spun out the door. I went back down to the desk and the people working had figured out what happened because the lady I walked in on called the front before we got down. They gave a voucher for 1 free glass of wine or beer and gave us the new key and apologized once more. When I turned to walk away, I realized that the same room that we just interrupted that woman in was still written on the key holder card. I turned and told him "this the same room we just came from". He said "oh, oh, I'm sorry." And gave me the right number. But he almost sent us back to the wrong room a third time. All kinds of other things went wrong while we were there. Loud construction RIGHT outside our window at 6am every morning. We were told we would get a five dollar voucher for the bar for every morning we didn't get our room cleaned and we never got it. 4 days in a row, we didn't want our room cleaned. We didn't care about the voucher, but when we went to the desk to ask for an extra bottle of water for our room (which comes with a free bottle of still water and sparkling every morning if you get it cleaned) the desk attendant said we couldn't have free water if our room hadn't been serviced. But when I mentioned that we never received our vouchers, there was some reason we couldn't get that either. I was so frustrated from no sleep from the construction and all the other issues (many of them too small of importance but also too many to list) that I stopped listening to their reasoning. I had decided that I'll never stay at this hotel again. Which is unfortunate because I had stayed there one night last time I was in Belgium. I didn't have much interaction with the staff as it was another late night. I just needed a bed for the evening. My only complaint was the location was kind of inconvenient but after this experience, i realized the problems are far worse than the location

Cons: Not much negative to say. The location is a bit of a hike from the tourist hotspots like the Grand Place. It's close to the Botanique metro station which was convenient but it would have been nicer to have a quicker walk to the city center instead. If you do walk to the city center from the hotel, make sure to walk through the gardens and then down Rue Neuve - it's much nicer than walking between all of the business buildings.

Cons: I think on the daily basis they should make a slight change in their menu for the buffet breakfast. Everyday it was exactly the same. Breakfast is open 6:15 and they should be ready at 6:15, the hot food was not ready till 6:40, chef was still preparing.
I was with a Globus tour in Amsterdam, Luxemburg and the 2 hotels there had a slight change in their menu.
Radisson should get a sophisticated coffee machine so people can help themselves that way you don't have to ask them for coffee and it would help a busy day.
It was very chaotic, short of staff several days in the breakfast restaurant, , everybody was running around then accidents occurred spilling coffee, crashing plates. Tables were not cleaned off so it was difficult to find a table. I understand that at times understaffing occurs, I think days like this they should have a sign Please wait to be seated, so they could get a table ready for the amt. of customers to be seated. As people were let in freely, we're looking for a clean table and it was difficult to find one so I landed up cleaning my table plus got my own coffee. I felt it was ok to help out a little bit.
They have a ledge anywhere from 2 1/2-3 inches high before going into the bathroom which doesn't make sense why they have it, it serves no purpose and certainly does not help the décor. I think it is very dangerous especially at night. I kicked it on the first day 3 times and then I put a colorful luggage strap on the floor and left the light on.
2 other couples stumbled on it, laid a towel to even it out, taped some paper across as a reminder that the ledge was there.

Cons: Very disappointed that there was MAJOR renovations occurring at the property. I would not have booked this property had I known previous to booking that the renovations would take over practically the entire building. Dust and the smell of rubble was very prominent in the 'makeshift' lobby area. Noise levels in the room were quite high with machinery. I would stay in this hotel again when the renovations are finished but I do think it is false advertising showing a beautiful lobby and reception area on the website with no mention of the major renovations and most of the hotel being shut off. Customers are not receiving the product in which they paid for. An email one week post booking is not sufficient warning as prepay no refundable customers cannot change their mind.

Pros: The room was very spacious, with a kitchenette and a dining area, had a desk with a very comfy armchair and a decent bed. The shower has lots of pressure, really enjoyed my shower times at this hotel. Metro station is 1 corner away, reception staff are ready to help and are not stopping if they don't know something, they will actually look things up for you to find what you're looking for and provide you with adequate information. In a nut shell, this hotel is a 3 star hotel that looks like it's trying to become a 5 star hotel, but trying to remain under a budget.

Pros: The room was very clean and the breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Everything was positive but the customer service from the receptionists was not great as they did not give help or more information regarding the transport, the position of the hotel etc. Since the day of the check in I asked few questions about the train station to the receptionists and the feeling was as I disturbed them ...they were a bit rude. When I booked the room they promised me to provide a room with the best view as the trip was a threat for my mum's birthday but they did not. The rest of the staff, cleaners and the experience was excellent.

Cons: Breakfast was lacking a few items from the menu, it was missing baked beans, a toaster and some french bread. The plates are a bit too small, if you want to try out various items from the menu, you're end up mixing things together. Juice glasses are also very small, they use a, what looks like to be a wine glass.

The lobby is great but the rooms are as bad as the Fort Breendonk concentration camp that we visited on our way down. The hotel is in the roughest area in Brussels where you simply are not safe from gangs and crime. We were too scared to even go to the local metro station or tram line. Breakfast was shameful as was the fact the hotel staff let yobs sit in reception where you come into the hotel making you feel instantly unsafe.

Pros: I was in Brussels with my family for the first time. We decided to stay at Van Belle, because it's in the central party of Brussels and has own underground parking. Hotel is in 2-6 km from any Brussel's interesting places, traffic is always OK. People are very friendly, rooms are clean. cranes and shovers are not perfectly workong, but they work, it's all right with this. If you have some special requirements on food like us (diabetes) you may ask people from kitchen and they prepare your food in the microwave owen. Especial thanks for this! It's no easy for business to survive in Belgium, so i thank Van Belle team for making our staying in Brussels comfortable and not too much expensive. Good luck, and we come again if we ever come to Belgium again.

Pros: The location.
Cons: Front desk service ( few of staff) they were not that flixable and one of them were rude. I asked for an empty glass to drink alcohol they refused to give me and one of them arruged with me in an unprofessional way leads me to rais my voice and ruined my happy mood that I was in.. plus other things . I was struggling and keep nagging to the reception desk about my room internet , no one even took or concern to take any action till I asked dircely the house keeping and the mentaince man to solve the problem and they moved it not the receptionist desk people. Rooms furniture old and ruined , you can hear the plumbing water cycle path from your room. Walls between rooms not isolated at all specially the connecting rooms you can hear every single move and breath.

Drugs being smoked in a nearby room we suspect by staff as people in and out all night. Area is horrific and filled with gangs on every corner and round the back of the hotel. I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am that booking.com would let you stay somewhere like this and for the price I would expect ALOT better.

Cons: From the hotel side it's all OK! We dislike many things in the city- garbage and oriental bazaars in the streets instead of civilized shops and malls, but it's not hotel responcibility. Hotel is a clean oasis, in fact, in the ocean of garbage in Brussels
