Friendly staff as usual, they had to overcome a lot of problems resulting from Coronavirus restrictions but they adapted and coped very well and kept smiling and maintained a sense of humour.
The safe in the room was inoperative and we did ask a number of times for this to be rectified but it was not. However, as this was at the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak we accept that they had more pressing issues to deal with.

Breakfast was good - Pastries were fresh. Good location - only a short walk to grand place.
Staff on arrival were cold and rude and seemed as if they didn’t want to be there. Room was small and all facilities (thermostat and shower) were old. The shower was in the bathtub (couldn’t stand to shower unless you wanted water to go everywhere - see photo). Light in front of the vanity was flickering so we had to turn it off and the only other lights in the rooms were the bedside ones or the tiny hallway light so the room was dark. Walls were so paper thin that we could hear the man next door snoring. Our phone didn’t work so we couldn’t call front desk/room service and when we told reception they rudely said ‘well we can change you rooms if it’s that much of a problem’. Overall would not stay again. If the staff were nicer it would’ve been things we could deal with.
