Have plenty of time at pick up and drop off to check your car and don't leave without checking any scratch ( more than 1 cm ) or nicks in the car Same thing on return . Get your car check by an employee and don't just drop the keys . The driving is very tight and it's very easy to have your car damaged even after you left. Remember until an employee as check the car and close the contract any damaged is yours ! Dropping the keys is not the end of your trip !!

Sixt staff was difficult and unhelpful at pickup. Sixt in person staff and online staff both are extremely difficult to deal with and refuse to respect their stated cancellation policy.

I had to cancel but the cancelation process did not work smoothly. There was no link to cancel and nobody picked up at the number provided by Kayak. A cancellation by email did not work either. In the end I had to search through Google for a page to cancel.

Kayak\Expedia applies to all the US rates. For a EU citizen this results in apparently low rates on web and terrible insurance covers which require to buy an additional insurance at a rate that is higher than for EU citizens. I cancelled the booking and made one directly on the Budget web site. I saved money, but I could not find the same car available since it was still booked throug my former reservation for a while. The local vendor did his best to help me and was accomodating for all issues, bening transparent and informative. Your process however is not transparent AT ALL in your web sites. I do not know if it is car companies or resellers or both to be PIRATES, but I blame all for profitting from distracted customers.

Hertz REQUIRE a passport and flight ticket for vehicle rental. They WILL NOT rent out a vehicle without them. I was not a traveller coming into the country. I live near the airport and I needed the rental car to get to a job interview and I couldn't get it.

The car was in good shape with minor issues. Like the clutch has big wear, and tyres were unevenly inflated. Services were poor, having the car reserved by 1200pm(noon) I have received it only 50’ after that time, while I was waiting in their lobby, because the car was at car wash. Poor scheduling from them. After dropping the car, did not receive the invoice, even after 24hrs.

I reserved through kayak/Expedia for 55 Euros. When I get to the location, there was a mandatory 60 euro "location fee" that was not discloses during the reservation. I cancelled the reservation and left this feel should have been disclosed at reservation because I had other options available to me from other agencies that were cheaper than total 105 euros.
