Brussels hotels near Musée d'Art Fantastique

Pros: Great location close by shopping district and with very nice restaurants.

Pros: The room was spacious with a very nice view. The breakfast was great with a variety of food.

Pros: We enjoyed the staff. They were kind, respectful, cheerful and courteous. The young men who assisted with the luggage and parking were great. The counter personnel, was very pleasant.

Pros: You don't even get the second foot in the door before you're greeted by friendly and welcoming staff waiting to attend to your every need. The breakfast (if you choose to have it included) is a fresh, healthy and great quality variety also with impeccable service and choices. The rooms are adequately sized and the beds and pillows are quite plush. There are slippers and robes for your added comfort and the tea selection in the room is great. The bathrooms are fully equipped and have a very modern and Chiq decor. Room service was a bit costly (as it is with most hotels) but this was because while the quality of the food was great and fresh, I really didn't enjoy the flavor. It is conveniently located between the trams and close to the Brussels midi station. Also, on Rue Louise there are all the major high end brands for clothing, jewelry, shoes and perfume, there are chocolatiers and other typically European magazines. Once you head out the revolving doors of Rue du Châtelain, and turn right, you will see that there are many cafés, bars, bistros, and magazines (shops) along the way. The cuisine is mainly, Italian, French and English, and there are Asian restaurants and a conveniently located liquor store to get your Belgian beer. There's also a food store further down. In the opposite direction, about a 30 min stroll away, there is the European Parliament, and the Grande Place that hosts many of the museums, a must see is the Music Museum, and a must have is the Belgian chips/fries and waffles. Hopefully this helps!

Cons: The dinner I ordered in room service was not a good taste for me.

Pros: The location is in the lovely area of Ixelles. We had an executive room which was pricey but spacious. The beds were large and really comfortable! We were there on New Year's Eve, but didn't want to be in the centre of things, so this was perfect.

Pros: Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. The property overall was well-decorated and gave us that Christmas mood!

Pros: Excellent service, great staff. Me and my partner enjoyed the stay from the beginning when the friendly staff welcomed us. Location is a bit farm from the center, but easy to reach by tram and metro. Shops and restaurants are nearby. Will book again!

Pros: This was a nice hotel. It is very clean and ok, but it is just outdated in terms of room decor, etc. Staff was very nice and helpful. not in the center.

Pros: The staff was very friendly all the time. Clement, at the reception desk, gave us really useful tips on where to go and what to visit in Brussels. Jimmy and all the catering staff were absolutely fantastic - always checking on us to see if we needed something else. Their hot chocolate is creamy and tasty. The breakfast is the best I've ever had in a hotel and it's worth every cent. :) Also, every night we found chamomile tea, Neuhaus chocolate and comfy slippers placed beside our bed.

Cons: This is a 5 star hotel in the lower category. If you are used to 5 star hotels internationally (even Sofitel) you might get dissapointed. You miss just the extra bit of service and expect higher standards. In example: there is no minibar, front desk just hung up the phone when they appearantly thought the conv was finished, conciërge promised us to arrange a restaurant within 20min after arrival and after we pointed out to be in a hurry, we had been waiting at the entrance for more than half an hour, and after some irritation at the concierge when asking about it, we proposed to go to our appointment and give him some more time and ask to give us a call. 1,5 hr later still no call and eventually nothing could be arranged. Eventually we orderded room service. The food was not in line with the price. Some expensive steak was tasteless and not tender. Everything came with empty salt bucket, we immediately called and it took around 15min to bring and in the meantime we already finished. Room service guy didnt speak english, and we couldnt keep the mobile table for some reason. So one of us was eating at the desk and the other on the side of the bed. Then we brought the finished dishes outside the room, stayed in the hall way until next morning, even when other staff came to ask if we needed anything else. Finally the airconditioning in the room is not working properly, it remained too warm. After discussion with the hotel manager they sincerely tried to compensate for the inconvenience. The room service was not charged and they asked what else they could do to make us feel better. With all these things adding up it was already too much of a dissapointment. When we did the check out we received a gift with chocolates. Overall appreciated the way they have tried to make up for the bad experience. Neverthelles, appearantly service and quality levels among 5 star hotels, even at Sofitel, differ seriously. Lesson learned.

Pros: Upon my arrival, i was immediately greeted by the hotel staff. Check-in was fast and efficient thanks to the friendly Madame behind the counter. From my room, i had an excellent view onto Place Jourdan. I ordered from the room menu and delivery was quick (+- 20 min) and efficient. The hotel reception was stylishly decorated (it was a week before Christmas) and made me feel at home.

Pros: Great location and facilities, extremely polite and helpful staff, exceptional breakfast, a really nice experience in general.

Cons: Expensive but typical euro pricing

Pros: Location is good, close to good shopping. City Center is walkable but it's a bit of a hike. Room was spacious, beds were comfortable. I didn't take advantage of breakfast but at 13 euros it looked like a very good value.

Cons: Despite paying for a room for 3, they provided no sheets for the pull out bed. Similarly, not enough towels and certainly not enough coffee in the morning! Room was too warm despite adjusting the A/C to the maximum setting. Strange sulfur smell coming from the bathroom.

Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. Wifi worked well.

Cons: The arrangement of having the shower in the bathtub is a bit cumbersome

Pros: The hotel is outstanding, a very comfortable bad with a street view, rich and varied breakfast, all the receptionists very kind, nothing to reclaim. And the tram stops and the underground is very near. All in all we had an enjoyable stay and we'll definitely repeat the experience!

Cons: This used to be my regular hotel in Brussels until a terrible night about two years ago. I was supposed to receive some compensation for that but it never happened. Actually, for as many times as you stay in this expensive hotel, no one remembers you. I stayed at this hotel about 10 times before so I decided to give this another opportunity and I could not regret it more. - I was given a freezing room on arrival. Heating was off. - No courtesy water anymore. Cheap. Very cheap! - Empty mini bar - why don't you just remove the fridge then!?? - Concrete hard mattress! Chunky pillows. How can this be rated as a 4 or 5 stars hotel. So uncomfortable! - Went for a shower around noon, water didn't get hot enough - Very, very noisy room facing bars and restaurants. Background noise included garbage trucks at midnight, restaurants and bars throwing glass bottles in the recycle bins at closing time, hysterical drunk people from terrace bar across the street screaming - Breakfast offer is now half of what it used to be. This used to be one of the best things of this hotel. Gone! Very limited bread offer, no fresh fruit at all, ... - Lovely SPA gone. Closed. - This place had an interesting small bar with 2 for 1 nights. Gone. Will stay here again if it's the last room in Brussels. Luckily other platforms have grown and offer great options in the area. For this kind of service, you might as well rent a hassle free flat.

Pros: NH Stephanie is located in the Saint Gilles area of Brussels and located close to many restaurants, fine retailers and the Louise Metro Stop. Definately a GREAT value for the money. We walked everywhere but the Metro, Uber, and Taxi cabs were available if needed.

Cons: It would have been nice to have breakfast included as part of the 10 day stay - Breakfast was 17 Euro ($18.00 USD).

Cons: staff, facilities, internet The facilities were poorly up-kept, the internet was extremely slow and the shower did not work. The staff was incredibly rude and they refused to fix the shower or allow us to change rooms the first day. The first few times we brought up the problem, they insinuated that the shower definitely worked, and that we were too incompetent to operate it. The third time, they finally had someone come up to look at the shower, and of course it was broken. Apparently one staff member's confirmation that our shower was broken was not good enough though, and they had to get another staff member to check the shower [which was still obviously broken] again. This whole process took around an hour of the little time we had in Brussels before we were allowed a new room. Furthermore, even after they acknowledged the broken shower, they were not the least bit apologetic for wasting our time and not believing us in the first place. As a last insult, they tried to charge us for items in the minibar that we did not take. Overall, it would have been a nice stay if there weren't any issues that needed staff help, but if something arises and you need the help of the staff, good luck because you'll need it.
