Cons: Colonial parking provides valet parking at the Willard for $55 per night. They refused to tell me about any other options when there was another parking garage just behind the hotel.

Pros: Overall, a nice hotel and had a good stay. I especially enjoyed the gym, which was the best hotel gym I've ever tried - had a lifting platform, power racks, and dumbbells going up to 120 lbs. My only complaint would be the daily parking fee, nearly $50 a day. Nearby garages seemed to be charging $20-$25 a day.

Pros: I like the location of the hotel.Near all the tourist actractions. I would also like to take this time to talk about two staff members.One staff was working behing the bar. I cant remember his name but he was from morocco. He was very friendly, helpfull and always had a service with a smile. He talks to the coustmers and makes you feel at home. Another staff member was female. She worked as a conserage. She was americian. She wears glasses. While I was there she seemed to work during the evening/night. These two staff members are the standard for all staff in your hotel. I would be greatful if you pass this masage to your two staff members in questiob.

I was actually suffering from gastroenteritis and I needed to lie down so I made a fuss and they eventually found me a room- absolutely appalling and they tried to blame booking.com!!

Pros: We experienced the sweetest women at the front desk, both named Anna. One even kindly gave us a room with a view at no additional charge since it was my boyfriends first time to DC. She recommended some great dinner spots which we loved. Also, the gentleman outside the next morning were so friendly, we chatted with them for a while before our Uber came. Kudos to everyone for welcoming us home after a long trip abroad. Made us feel so happy to be back.

Also the air conditioning in the room was terrible. By day 3, I would say it finally got to 74 in the room, after being set to 65 the entire time.

Pros: The staff was exceptional- very friendly and even remembered our kids names and talked with them each time we saw them. The location was great with just a short walk to the National Mall and White House. It was clean and well maintained.
Cons: It seemed to be more of a conference/business stay hotel, as there is no pool or play area for children. It did not matter to us because we knew we would spend the majority of our time outside exploring, but if you have young children and are looking to keep them entertained AT the hotel it might not be your best option.

Cons: As an Ohio State Buckeye fan, there on the annual rival between OSU and Michigan, we wore our OSU gear and decided we liked the hotel bar nooks of chairs around TV. We were so disappointed the bar only plays music and the TV’s are muted. There were other guests also asking to hear the game. First staff said they can’t play the TV volume. Then they said they would try but there was no one in house that knew how to. We certainly would have spent the time at another establishment. I’m glad I wasn’t hearing impaired. No one on site even knew how to put on subtitles to follow the story. Didn’t expect that negative experience.

Pros: From the moment we stepped out of our rental car the hotel staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We had just come in to DC from two days of flying and driving and right away the hotel staff made us feel right at home. They carried our bags, helped us with transportation in DC by pointing us in the right direction, and even gave us apples on our way out for the day. We had never been to DC and have 2 small children and did all the sight seeing we could pack in for 2 days. The location of the hotel was great. One night the weather was great and we all enjoyed the walk through the city back and forth from the Washington Monument. It is quite the walk, so if you are not up for it we also took a cab and used Lyft in which every place only cost about 10.00 to get a ride to and from the hotel. I also feel compelled to mention that maybe it was the look on our faces when we stepped out of our car after the long traveling experince with 2 small kids, but whatever it was they upgraded our room to a balcony! I think her name was Elena that offered the upgrade, and it was very much appreciated!

Pros: The facility may look like it's slightly dated, but it is definitely well maintained and clean throughout. The staff was exceptionally attentive and I felt like they cared about me and my business. One example: Parking is paid, but I asked if I could park before checking in, and they ok'd it. But the card to the garage did not work. A staff member saw my problem immediately and came over and let me in. I truly appreciate that kind of attentiveness.

I stayed in a recently redecorated room, and the furnishings were very good. Room was very clean. Concierge was most helpful. There was an unofficial taxi stand right outside the hotel, so I was able to just walk across the driveway and get a cab.

Cons: I called and tried to change my reservation with kayak which they told me I had to contact hotel directly. Contacting the hotel directly they told me I couldn't change the reservation. Furthermore, they gave me a small room with one double. When I came down and pointed it out they wouldn't change it. I then pulled up my documentation and they reluctantly agreed giving me massive attitude. I used to use Kayak all the time. Will never use the service again. Would have cancelled out of whole reservation except my business partners all we're at the hotel and had similar problems

Cons: The room was very hot - almost like a sauna. We were tempted to change rooms, but after settling in we did not feel like moving. The heating/cooling system did not appear to work, or at least not very well. The staff also misinformed us on more than one occasion, although they were always willing to try to help when asked, and made an effort to correct their mistake.

Pros: A very business-like but friendly hotel. The staff were particularly helpful but not over the top. Boutique - but not small. Very convenient for the local convention centre without the overblown prices of the other "standard" business hotels. An excellent restaurant, conducive for business meetings. Cons: The toilet was really low, hard for tall people with bad knees. The bed could have been a little more comfortable. The A/C blows on the bed if you don't adjust the levers. There's not enough light by the mirror for makeup, they need to have a movable mirror that you can take to the desk. Only one of the bedside lamps worked. One of the elevators was down, so it sometimes took a long time to get to the room.

No inhome laundry service. We walked in from the rain soaking wet and they said they didnt have a dryer in house.

Cons: My only complaint is that the windows really need to be replaced. The up/down casement windows tended to slide down from the top, which let in a draft. Also, they are single-pane, which allow every noise outside into the room, and I was on the 7th floor. Tuesday morning trash pick-up was especially vivid, and a construction project that was a block away sounded like it was next door.

Pros: The location is tremendous! I loved being able to hop onto the metro and get to all of the tourist locations/museums around D.C. It is only a 5-7 minute walk to the White House from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and will try to accommodate you with anything you may need. The price of the hotel was superb considering the location, amenities (free pop/snacks in the lounge), and the atmosphere the hotel creates for travelers. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to D.C.!

Pros: We went to DC to celebrate my husband's birthday for a long weekend. We looked for a long time online and a lot of the offering was overpriced for the amenities available. The Club Quarters was a great find!!!! The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. There is an espresso bar on the 2nd floor!! We were a few blocks from all the greatest attractions, walked to every site. Never had to take a cab or the Metro. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will come back. We found a gem in D.C. and will be recommending it to our family and friends.

Cons: The restaurant was not appealing. Not many closeby restaurants or shops. No convenience stores nearby. Walmart is about 15 minute walk which is not far, but I'm not sure if it's safe to walk at night. There is a liquor store across the street, but it's not a convenience store so the items are limited. No refrigerator in the room.

Cons: Valet parked my car for 1 night, and took it upon themselves to charge $50 to my credit card, plus a $17 convenience fee. No lot in the surrounding area exceeded $25 for overnight parking. I should have parked my own car. I feel that the hotel was nervy and rude to charge us double the going rate for parking - without notifying me. I felt taken advantage of, since we were already paying top dollar for a 1 night stay. The hotel was nice, but not that nice. I stay in DC all the time, but I may not return unless this problem is rectified.

When we arrived in the room the alarm/radio was not working and after a quick call someone arrived promptly to replace it. As someone who used to work as housekeeping in a hotel, the room cleanliness here was superb!. The concierge was very knowledgeable of the area and after giving us a map and marking our route, we had no problem getting around.

Also, parking is very expensive ($45/night).

Cons: I had one reservation for 2 nights and then when the hotel did not answer my email I booked another reservation for a 3rd night. This meant I had to change rooms from a handicapped one with no view for 2 nights to a better, different one for the last night. I asked the guy at the front desk to handle this when I checked in but he didn't and so the morning of the last day I had to move. Not a big problem, but also not ideal. Also, little description of hotel facilities in the room.

Cons: They tried to charge us for umbrellas that were returned to the front desk. When I returned the umbrellas to the front desk, the lady was very rude for no reason. Two of the elevators were out of service and the other two seemed as if they would break soon. It was scary everytime getting into the elevator because it would shake and make a noise. Twice the door didn't close all the way completely, leaving a small crack, and the elevator would not move. I highly doubt I would stay here again because of the lady I dealt with that was rude and tried to charge me for umbrellas that were returned.

The location is terrible, right next to a firehouse. There were loud noises of people and the fire engines at night. Also, right next to a homeless center with people just hanging out in the streets nearby.
The room decor was nice but sheets felt like paper. I would not stay here again.

Cons: We arrived at the liaison at 12 am hoping to get into our room quickly and get some rest. We waited in line for at least 30 minutes to check in, as other guests appeared to be having issues with check in. After finally reaching the check in desk, we were told that the room we had reserved was not available. The only available room had no bed, just a pull out couch that could only sleep one person. This situation was the same for another 5-6 parties attempting to check in after us. We were given the option of staying at another hotel down the street and switching back to the liaison for the second night of our stay. We decided to cancel our liaison reservation and stay at the other hotel for both nights. The entire situation was handled in a very unprofessional manor, adding stress and confusion to what we hoped to be a relaxing weekend.

Our hotel room overlooked dumpsters but we weren’t expecting much more. The room overall just felt shabby and needing updates - wall paper bubbling, chipping tub tiles, etc the bed wasn’t the most comfortable either but it was good for what we needed - a place to sleep. However the parking situation was the most irritating because to park is $50 but we were told if we stayed less than 24 hours we would only be charged the hours we parked. This was not the case and still had to pay the $50 for only being parked there for 18 hours.

Cons: While checking in, a friend and myself was told the pool for closed for an event(it was 98 degrees )! One of the main reasons we even picked the hotel was for there rooftop pool. After getting in the room I then called the operator because the staff at the front desk seemed unsure and it was three of them. All i asked was, when was the event going to end ? We then went to the roof top for drinks and seem guest kids etc in the pool. We then asked the bartender about the event, she had no clue what we were talking about.

After I left, they charged my card the $43 for the parking and released the $50 hold, but one week later, I still have a $43 hold for the parking on my card. After contacting the hotel, leaving messages for billing, the garage, and all types of people, I finally got through to Hilton Guest assurance who contacted management for me. The management's response was that this was standard practice and to take it up with the credit card company. The credit card company cannot do anything with pending charges. I've never seen a hold last so long, especially after they have collected their money.
