Pros: Overall, a nice hotel and had a good stay. I especially enjoyed the gym, which was the best hotel gym I've ever tried - had a lifting platform, power racks, and dumbbells going up to 120 lbs. My only complaint would be the daily parking fee, nearly $50 a day. Nearby garages seemed to be charging $20-$25 a day.

Cons: - Air conditioning so loud, it was similar to a Day's Inn. - Expensive parking. The parking fee increased 20% from the time I booked the room ($40/night) to the time I stayed ($48/night). Hotel should hold the parking rate for reservations locked in months prior to a rate increase.

The room was too small for two people with full-size suitcases. There is literally not enough room to open them. You can keep a couple of them under the bed so you can walk around, but there is nowhere for clothes. So I'd not recommend it for couples who aren't traveling light. For a solo traveler with a single small bag, it would be a great option. The location is good, the staff is nice and helpful, everything is well maintained, etc.

Pros: The room is like staying with a friend and sleeping in their spare bedroom. The bed was super comfortable, bathroom was a perfect match to the size of the room. The roof top bar is a great place to catch views of the city day or night. The Crimson was a place to grab a quick bite to eat regardless of what meal it was.
Cons: The shower curtain gets a little friendly if you like your showers hot. Leaving the curtain open a few inches helped at the cost of having a damp floor mat.

Pros: I love pod hotels, this is my third one (been to both Pod NY). Rooms are "compact" but public areas are always so enjoyable. The coffee bar at Pod DC is really nice, as well as the penthouse lounge which offers comfy seating and beautiful late afternoon light ! Location is perfect for sight seeing, bus to Georgetown is 2 blocks away.

Pros: The Pod DC was super cute, very well maintained, and obviously recently updated. The room was quite small (like being in a pod!) but you don’t spend much time there anyway, and everything was nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were too, the tv was huge and the bathroom was nicely designed. Definitely not specious, but it really didn’t bother me! I’d stay there again!

Pros: The people at the front desk, the concierges, the doormen, and the housekeeps were truly concerned about my comfort and seeing that I had the best possible time in Washington. Your concierges are extremely knowledgeable and took the time necessary to help me find stores and restaurants; making phone calls for me to get things done. My own family doesn't care for me that well!

Pros: We experienced the sweetest women at the front desk, both named Anna. One even kindly gave us a room with a view at no additional charge since it was my boyfriends first time to DC. She recommended some great dinner spots which we loved. Also, the gentleman outside the next morning were so friendly, we chatted with them for a while before our Uber came. Kudos to everyone for welcoming us home after a long trip abroad. Made us feel so happy to be back.

Pros: I liked everything. The room was modern, well appointed, with a comfortable bed, and spacious bath. The staff was as pleasant and helpful as any I have encountered in some time. The location is great! I ate in the restaurant once and I enjoyed my meal. I look forward to my next visit.

Also the air conditioning in the room was terrible. By day 3, I would say it finally got to 74 in the room, after being set to 65 the entire time.

Pros: Conveniently located in downtown DC, easy to walk to most sights, restaurants and entertainment venues. The food was good and the hotel interior was quiet.
Cons: My only complaint is that the windows really need to be replaced. The up/down casement windows tended to slide down from the top, which let in a draft. Also, they are single-pane, which allow every noise outside into the room, and I was on the 7th floor. Tuesday morning trash pick-up was especially vivid, and a construction project that was a block away sounded like it was next door.

Pros: The hotel is within 4 blocks on the Mt Vernon/Convention Center Metro station. There's a CVS close by for forgotten items and it's on the way to the metro. There's a few places to grab a meal within a one block radius. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. They have a business center with a printer for printing boarding passes or emails. The TV has a great selection of channels.
Cons: The toilet was really low, hard for tall people with bad knees. The bed could have been a little more comfortable. The A/C blows on the bed if you don't adjust the levers. There's not enough light by the mirror for makeup, they need to have a movable mirror that you can take to the desk. Only one of the bedside lamps worked. One of the elevators was down, so it sometimes took a long time to get to the room.

Cons: They dont have an AC.They have a heater and if you tell them your room is too hot, they asked us to open a window They gave a loud fan which made noise than cool the room. The room is tiny.The flush in the restroom was inefficient. There is no option to park your own car.The valet service is mandatory and is an additional 45$ per night. No inhome laundry service. We walked in from the rain soaking wet and they said they didnt have a dryer in house.

Cons: Valet parked my car for 1 night, and took it upon themselves to charge $50 to my credit card, plus a $17 convenience fee. No lot in the surrounding area exceeded $25 for overnight parking. I should have parked my own car. I feel that the hotel was nervy and rude to charge us double the going rate for parking - without notifying me. I felt taken advantage of, since we were already paying top dollar for a 1 night stay. The hotel was nice, but not that nice. I stay in DC all the time, but I may not return unless this problem is rectified.

Pros: From the moment we stepped out of our rental car the hotel staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We had just come in to DC from two days of flying and driving and right away the hotel staff made us feel right at home. They carried our bags, helped us with transportation in DC by pointing us in the right direction, and even gave us apples on our way out for the day. We had never been to DC and have 2 small children and did all the sight seeing we could pack in for 2 days. The location of the hotel was great. One night the weather was great and we all enjoyed the walk through the city back and forth from the Washington Monument. It is quite the walk, so if you are not up for it we also took a cab and used Lyft in which every place only cost about 10.00 to get a ride to and from the hotel. I also feel compelled to mention that maybe it was the look on our faces when we stepped out of our car after the long traveling experince with 2 small kids, but whatever it was they upgraded our room to a balcony! I think her name was Elena that offered the upgrade, and it was very much appreciated!

TV remote was VERY frustrating. Anything other than standing directly in front of the TV from about 3 feet away and the remote wouldn't work. The heater in my room did not work, just blew cold air. Rooms are tiny...don't seem like great value for the price. ($300/day average for one week's stay).

Pros: This is a gorgeous hotel. The entrance is very grand with beautiful chandeliers. The staff was attentive and polite. We checked in quickly and were given a large room with a balcony - even a spacious bathroom. The metro is very close if you're heading to the monuments or museums. Also the zoo is about a half mile up Conn. Ave. which was convenient. Adams Morgan is nearby and there are lots of great restaurants in between. You can't beat this location anywhere in D.C. I've stayed at the Omni in New Orleans, New York, and Richmond over the years. They are all an excellent choice.

I stood for 22 minutes as the two people working the counter dealt with 2 customers The staff would not make eye contact with those of us in line Poor customer service training The staff should always acknowledge those waiting with eye contact and a few words Such as " we will be with you as soon as we can thankuou for your patience" They did not get anyone to come help and deal with the issues of the two people that were wanting satisfaction over their bill or Parking fee Etc. Pros: The renovation & new decor is pretty much complete! The hotel looks beautiful! The facility is great, comfy, and has a lot to offer. Our stay was okay and went smoothly. The young man who checked us out on Sunday was super friendly and very nice! (wish we would've had him at check in)

The hotel charged us an extra $10 per day for amenities without fully explaining this ahead of time. When we asked about this upon check-out, front desk staff said it is for wi-fi, rooftop, fitness center, etc. Why is that not just included in the nightly rate? Also, parking is very expensive ($45/night).

Needless to say, we went and found a nice, safe place to park our car for 2 days in a residential neighborhood. Our toilet did not flush...there was no fan//vent in the bathroom. Our A/C unit crapped out at about 7:15 a.m. Sunday and water came gushing out of the ceiling for about 20 minutes...took 3 calls back and forth to the front desk for them to actually send someone to repair the unit. The free breakfast was nice, but would have been better if we had actually been informed that it was only from 7a - 10a we (foolishly) "assumed" it would be till 11 a.m. The additional "charges" make this on-line bargain NOT such a bargain. When we arrived they didn't have the room I booked available and since I booked through a third party (kayak.com) they were extremely unaccomodating. We were a group of 4 adults and they would only offer us one room with one double bed. (Large enough to fit two but it's smaller than a queen. ) We did not understand how they expected 4 grown adults to fit in one bed but they offered us nothing else. The lobby was dirty and dusty and the construction elevator came to bring me to my room had all sorts of debris . I was woken up to a fire alarm and walked down 8 flights of partially (dangerous) lit stairwell. When I arrived in the lobby it was thankfully declared a false alarm . I checked out of the hotel out of breath unshowered and a disheveled mess.

Cons: The service is poor with many of their desk staff having trouble with English particularly on the evening/night shift. The breakfast area is so small that not once did I get a table for breakfast. There were flies floating in the juice one morning and the toaster smoking for over 10 minutes another morning making a terrible smell. The hotel is under construction at present as well, which they don't tell you until you step off the evaluator at your floor into a construction zone. My hopes are not high for the product as I had what appeared to be a renovated room and their were numerous poor construction problems e.g. one can't turn on the tap in the sink without holding down the base. I could go on. Finally when there was a problem the hotel staff blamed getaroom who I used to book ad getaroom blamed the hotel. Net net nothing was done. I will try not to stay here again and never use getaroom.

Pros: Embassy Row is a gorgeous area to stay. The interior design aesthetic was fun and well done! It was easy to relax and feel comfortable. The "Adult Rec Room" was a fun detail as well. Never did I see the staff without a smile. They were eager to help with everything from handling wet umbrellas to dining recommendations . Very close to the Metro, so navigating was a breeze.
Cons: The A/C is loud inside the rooms. (But only a problem if you're a light sleeper.)

Pros: The best part of this hotel is the location. With children at GWU, it's the perfect place to stay to be close to campus, restaurants, and other Washington adventures. The beds and pillows were comfy.
Cons: I didn't care for the smell of smoke coming in to the bathroom through the fan that ran constantly or tj e broken dial on the heat lamp in the bathroom so that it did not turn off automatically, I asked the gentleman at the front desk about dirty drips on the bathroom floor, the big smear on the bathroom wallpaperor. He said the housekeeping manager was there at the time and he would send her up. No one showed up before I checked out the following day. The 6" x 9" steam/burn on the carpet in the bedroom was also a big eyesore. I also didn't like being evacuated by a false fire alarm at 7 AM.

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One of them remembered me from just one short phone conversation and encouraged me to do well on my interview. They are very hospitable and professional. The room was much bigger than I expected and very comfortable. The complimentary wi-fi worked well and the bed was very comfy too.
Cons: The only problem I had is with the bathroom sink. When I first got there it wouldn't run any hot water, not even lukewarm. No matter which way I turned the knob it was still very cold. I asked for maintenance and someone came up right away. The problem was that the shower hadn't been run in a long time. Fortunately the shower had no problems getting warm. But even after taking a nice hot shower the sink water still didn't get much better than lukewarm. Other than that, everything was great!

The staff was wonderful, but occasionally there would be a line at the desk so a second person would have been nice. Parking is done by a valet for $40 a day. Staff was also great, every morning there was lemon water and apples available for guests to start their day. Ultimately, the place was amazing, no complaints from my side, very clean, very tidy, and comfortable.

That was definitely one of my concerns when booking the rooms, thankfully I was put on the floor that was fully remodeled. He proceeded to tell me that the entire hotel was gonna be remodeled. This is great news because I booked 3 rooms for my friends and I. We had nothing bad to say about the rooms! Clean white sheets, with working air in every room and not to mention the bathrooms! AWESOME! Clean and remodeled as well! Which is something that makes me really happy because I'm big on bathrooms being clean when I stay at a hotel! I had a huge cake that needed to be stored and the staff also took care of that with no problem! If you are looking for a long stay or even short stay in Washington DC this is your place! I have nothing bad to say about the place! I will for sure be recommending this hotel and will be coming back for sure! Thank you Holiday Inn!
Cons: The parking was 37 dollars a night for one car. It wasn't really an issue to me though since I parked right on the sidewalk the hotel was on! It was free after 6:30 p.m. Saturday night. I'm pretty sure Sunday is free I wanna say until 5 p.m. We left around 1:00 p.m. Sunday morning and didn't have any trouble with parking tickets! It says it on the meter just can't remember! AC did not stay on all the time when it was set as such on thermostat. Hotel could not give any refunds or comps. One of the elevators was out of service (seemingly for a long time - a piece of tape covering the outside) the button to the elevator was cracked, and the whole thign was worryingly slowly and creaky. The room itself smelled musty - like it hadn't been aired out in years. Outside the window was the HVAC system which was *loud*. It was a crazy-horrible room. My best guess is that because Kayak booked the room through Priceline Hilton felt it was okay to give me the worst room they could find. I checked out immediately and went to another hotel nearby for the same price, but with a much nicer room and hotel in general.

What first caught our attention is the fact that you can look down the street and see the White House just a few short blocks away. Cons: We arrived at the liaison at 12 am hoping to get into our room quickly and get some rest. We waited in line for at least 30 minutes to check in, as other guests appeared to be having issues with check in. After finally reaching the check in desk, we were told that the room we had reserved was not available. The only available room had no bed, just a pull out couch that could only sleep one person. This situation was the same for another 5-6 parties attempting to check in after us. We were given the option of staying at another hotel down the street and switching back to the liaison for the second night of our stay. We decided to cancel our liaison reservation and stay at the other hotel for both nights. The entire situation was handled in a very unprofessional manor, adding stress and confusion to what we hoped to be a relaxing weekend.

However the parking situation was the most irritating because to park is $50 but we were told if we stayed less than 24 hours we would only be charged the hours we parked. Pros: I liked the decor and unique style of the hotel. I checked in at night so when we arrived we were able to appreciate the dim lighting and music. There was a lot of activity going on over at the bar/restaurant. People seemed to be enjoying them selves. The room was nice and clean. I liked the products in the bathroom. But there was also an overflowing trash can of plastic cups right next to it. There was only one person assisting customers. When I gave my name and info, the representative had a hard time. I showed her my reservation on my phone. She looked at it for at least 3 minutes and then told me that I need to call Kayak to get my confirmation#. I was confused and asked shouldn't she call them (since I stood in line for so long). Luckily I found what she missed on my reservation and she was able to check me in. Later that evening, we were given the number to a local restaurant that delivers. We ordered food. The next morning there is a receipt for a long distance call on the floor near the door. When I called the front desk about it, the rep said they would talk to their manager. When I checked out that day, I mentioned it and the representative at the desk dismissively said that her boss took care of it. No apology or friendly demeanor to spare I suppose. The carpet in the lobby needed vacuuming. It looked like the day after a party in the lobby.

Pros: The rooftop pool cannot be beat. It is a beautiful space with cabana and plenty of seating. The room was on the 10th floor making the pool and fitness center easily accessible. Within walking distance to the capital and the mall.
Cons: Hidden fees, and outrageous parking price, poor attitudes of front desk staff, "free coffee" pretty pathetic, coffee maker in the room not ideal. We couldn't take personal food up to pool despite no signs saying so. I felt like a teenager being reprimanded for sneaking candy into a movie theater. Bar at pool does have food, but be prepared to pay high dollar for pretty average food, without a lot of options. Poor communication regarding hotel activities, woke up for yoga class early only to find it must have been canceled without anyone letting us know. Pool was closed at 5 pm, we weren't even allowed to put our feet in because there wasn't a lifeguard. Website clearly says pool open until 10. It overall was fine, nothing miserable, but some of these details led to a less then impressive stay.

Pros: Decor was nice.
Cons: They were 2 hours late for check in and did not offer any type of reconciliation for that. When we finally got to the room I noticed the tv and dresser was a little dusty. The location is terrible, right next to a firehouse. There were loud noises of people and the fire engines at night. Also, right next to a homeless center with people just hanging out in the streets nearby. The room decor was nice but sheets felt like paper. I would not stay here again.

Located in Downtown Washington D.C; this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Lafayette Square and White House. George Washington University and Dupont Circle are also within 15 minutes. Farragut West Station is only a 2-minute walk and Farragut North Station is 3 minutes.

Cons: My husband and i were given an end corner room 302 that was way to small and gave a confined effect. We spent as much time out of the room as possible. Parking was also difficult due to lack of easy access to our vehicle asit was in an underground garrage.

Pros: We went to DC to celebrate my husband's birthday for a long weekend. We looked for a long time online and a lot of the offering was overpriced for the amenities available. The Club Quarters was a great find!!!! The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. There is an espresso bar on the 2nd floor!! We were a few blocks from all the greatest attractions, walked to every site. Never had to take a cab or the Metro. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will come back. We found a gem in D.C. and will be recommending it to our family and friends.

Pros: The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I stepped through the door with my 12 year old. I detest the hold hotels put on your credit card and don't release for days and was told I could pay the $50 incidental in cash (which I received back at checkout before the housekeeper had even cleaned the room). The room was indeed small with only 1 bed which would have been a problem if I hadn't been traveling with family. However, it was clean, along with the bathroom. I did whack my elbow against the wall as I was showering as the stall was a bit cramped. We received great instructions on how to make our way to the White House and monuments - - all within walking distance. We finished our running around a bit early so we took advantage of the 2nd floor lounge for about a half hour before heading back to Union Station. There was an industrial coffee/espresso/cappuccino maker, tea bags, newspapers, a big screen tv set to CNN, a charging station, computers etc. The rooms are too small for friends to convene comfortably so the lounge is a nice spot. Convenience: A block away from the Circulator, a block away from the Farragut North and Farragut West station (it is actually on top of the Farragut West station, however, the entrance is closed so it's necessary to walk to the other side a block down). The complimentary bottled water saved us some money and we surely took advantage.
Cons: The shower was uncomfortably small for a tall lanky person like me. Whacking my elbow against the wall isn't something I expect to happen in a hotel (usually hotel bathrooms are more comfy than my micro bathroom at home in NYC). Also, the room did not have a mini fridge which would have been nice for our leftovers. The hotel is downtown so the area at night is sparse (still feels safe though). You'll need to take a little walk to find some good breakfast if you set out early on a weekend because the nearby places are either never open on the weekends or only open closer to 9 am.

Pros: The location is tremendous! I loved being able to hop onto the metro and get to all of the tourist locations/museums around D.C. It is only a 5-7 minute walk to the White House from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and will try to accommodate you with anything you may need. The price of the hotel was superb considering the location, amenities (free pop/snacks in the lounge), and the atmosphere the hotel creates for travelers. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to D.C.!
