Pros (+) I love when staff member offered me and my family a bottles of water when we were waiting outside for my Lyft ride.i
Cons (-) I wish ice machines were on each floor however when I ask for ice at the front desk, I was supply with a bag.

Pros (+) The hot apple cider in the lobby. Great location.
Cons (-) The room was filthy. It was NYE so we didn't make a big fuss about it but we were not happy right away. Random sprays of stuff on the walls, a nice little white stain on the bed skirt. The first thing we did was check for bed bugs and luckily there were none. Pros (+) Can rank this as one of the best. Not over the top stuffy but excellent service, clean, active, perfect proximity to all of DC, awesome decor, fabulous staff. We are just so pleased and are excited to know we no longer need to search for a place when we come to DC in the future. It will always be The Melrose.

Pros (+) The doormen/bell captains, and all the staff were incredibly gracious and helpful. The room was good-sized and well appointed. The location is great with many restaurants in walking distance. The Metro is about 3 blocks away.
Cons (-) The view from our room was not great, but we didn't care.

Pros (+) The decor was excellent. I recommend using the subway, it's a short walk away.
Cons (-) If it had a pool it would have been perfect, but otherwise it was fantastic. Service at the in-hotel restaurant was slow and food was a little overpriced compared to the excellent food you could get around town.
