Pros: The grounds
Cons: The room The hotel No air conditioning The shower in the bedroom The toilet in the closet The hotel corridors The restaurant Hotel impersonal feels like aquatic city for adults
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was a very relaxed hotel yet every need was taken care of without the staff hovering around. Just a perfect stay in a perfect hotel for us. Views abound from every space in the hotel and the included breakfast was great!
Cons: Lack of floats to take to the beach
7,1 Good
Pros: breakfast and dinner high level parking organised like in austria - holder is a Tirol family- view from room good wifi superb sauna but only for naked peopels 3 pools (one with salt ) including jacuzzi nice sea beach-water clean but not for childrean
Cons: - lunch even with money coudnt eat normally . A normal fish restaurent is to 15 min by hotel and there was shoched to be refused given lunch in robe - asked normal clothes - but nobody warned me !!!! so coundt eat - see with rocks - rooms together washbasin bathtube sower and bed ... - room paint and blue very strange - pools water cold - all 3 same - - sauna only naked - all extra very expansive
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Modern decor Lovely balcony Great spa
Cons: Little loud in the evening as room overlooked the main bar/restaurant area Few loose things in the room (taps, hand rail by bath) Children often playing in main spa area pools etc (no adults only pool) so not always relaxing!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent, extremely friendly and couldn't do enjoying to help wherever we had queries. The Maître D remembered our names after the first night, the lady and gentleman serving us at breakfast and dinner remembered our orders every day, as did the bar men. When we needed some help with the housekeeping staff, they were incredibly good to us. There was a guy doing an aqua fitness class that we did twice and he was brilliant. Really friendly and it was an enjoyable workout. There were also lots of other classes available that we didn't get to. The nudist spa area is lovely, lots of sauna/steam room spaces and a small pool too. The heated water beds are amazing and we both ended up falling fast asleep in them one afternoon. We went half board and the food was delicious, the BBQ night in particular was great, an amazing selection of food to choose from. The breakfast selection was delicious also. We were flying home late on our last day so the staff invited us to stay around the hotel for the day, using the facilities. The showers and changing rooms in the white spa area were lovely and spacious allowing us to get ready before leaving for the airport.
Cons: That it is not an adults only hotel, despite being advertised as such. We spent extra money to stay in an adults only resort, only to arrive with lots of children there. One child was allowed to use his scooter inside the restaurant and was at risk of tripping staff carrying food plates at breakfast and dinner. We were very disappointed in this as they were in and out of the pool and around the pool area screaming during the day and evening when they should have been in the family hotel next door. From speaking with staff they are very unhappy with it also, however it seems that they cannot prevent it from happening due to someone saying it's ok. At least be honest for Pele when searching telling them this is NOT an adults only resort.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Calm, Sea, Spa,
Cons: absolutely nothing to complain
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Spa amazing and open till 21
Cons: No coffe machine in the room. The restaurant could be open till later, the spa closes at 21 and the kitchen at 21:30.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It wasn't my first time in this hotel so I was looking forward to spend some time in the Black spa, in my opinion, the best spa in Croatia. Hamam is really something. You have to try it!
Cons: At the same time, I had a bad experience with staff member in the spa. After few hours that no staff member checked the cleanliness, dirty towels were everywhere and it looked a bit sad, I found a staff memeber and asked for hot water for tea pot and few glasses because there was no clean ones (last time I was here, everything was perfect, there were even healthy snacks in the relax room) he answered that obviously there is not enough staff... Not a good answer for a 5 star experience :(
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is an absolute dream! An exquisitely designed hotel with swimming and relaxation facilities that would have to meet, if not exceed, the expectations of the most seasoned travellers. The staff were lovely, the spa is beautiful and very well laid out, the massages were excellent, the view is stunning and the breakfast is delicious with a variety of options. We would have loved to have stayed for longer!
Cons: It is definitely a destination-resort, so those looking for somewhere with strolling distance to town would not find this suitable, but there's really no reason to leave. Also hot drink making facility in the rooms would be great, but we found the absence of this to be common in Croatia so not specific to this hotel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beach Sauna Breakfast Room Service
Cons: Pools are pretty cold, should be heated
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Heritage hotel Bastion- Relais & Chateaux, you'll be centrally located in Zadar, within a 5-minute walk of Cathedral of St. Anastasia and National Museum Zadar. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is fascinating. I doubt that you can find a better located place to stay in Zadar. Any sight worth visiting is within 5-10 minute walking distance. The famous view of the world's greatest sunset is just right around the corner. The breakfast lacks a bit variety, but they have a separate menu for eggs that you can order without additional charge so that makes up for it. All in all, a great stay.
Cons: In the morning the day we were to check out, while we were in the room packing our stuff, the door was opened (I assume by the cleaning staff) so it came as a shock to us, but the staff soon closed the door after just 2 seconds or so. Didn't cause any damage or inconvenience on our side, and I assume she/he was just checking because they knew we were to check out that morning; but still, for a 4-star hotel, I would expect more alignment among the staff on the vacancy of the rooms.
7,9 Good
Pros: The lighting in the room was quite dark. Not enough lights and the ones that are there are too dim.
Cons: Entrance is confusing. Didn’t know where to go or where to park.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful, comfortable and so clean. The entire hotel is beautiful. The location is within a few minutes walk to shopping, restaurants, sea organ and other points if interest. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: We liked, first and formost, the wonderful staff. Their friendliness, and desire to make our stay as great as it was made this experience. The room is bigger than most European rooms, in great condition, comfortable and the houskeeping staff made our return ..special in a kind way. Very good breakfast. Old Zadar just a few minutes away by car, but this place has a beach and the Adriatic just across. I think it's a best bet in Zadar. In a culture that doesn't leave many tips, I felt compelled to leave some for room and restaurant staff. Thanks.

Pros: The owners are very, very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. Nice breakfasts.
Cons: The location is a bit far from the center but on the other hand, there are wonderful beaches Zgon, Puntamika and Diklo nearby, where you can go in 5 minutes when you are already done with the sightseeing in the old town.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice villa with nice apartments, our had a great terrace.:) Very good breakfast! Great staff/owner with friendly attitude. Good location and nice restaurant (sime) close to the Villa
Cons: Parking could be a challange if fully booked.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing?
Cons: The place needs urgent refurbishment! Furniture is old fashioned and uncomfortable. Better not to say anything about the bathroom: broken shower, uncleaned and lacking all kind of toiletries. Due to the ferry delay, we got to the premises quite late in the evening, previously calling them to tell them though, which according to the owner’s words, was not a problem. However, when we arrived, he barely told us anything but urged us to go to sleep, not to make any noise I guess. We asked him if we could eat something (we hadn’t had a bite in 8 hours), he just kept saying “closed, closed”, when there was a service station just five minutes away from the hotel where you could buy sandwiches, drinks.... Breakfast? If a lot of hard eggs, some plastic jam, tasteless fruit and undrinkable coffee can be called good breakfast.... All in all, We hadn’t been in such an awful place in years...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Courtesy, and very clean rooms, silence at night
Cons: Some rooms are a little old
7,1 Good
Pros: Air conditioning in the room, a balcony
Cons: Late breakfast and checkout, only 1 pillow each No evening meals available in the hotel
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful and explained everything very clearly. The breakfast had lots of choice every morning. The room was really clean and had good facilities like a fridge and we had access to a terrace overlooking the town and the ocean. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Everything was good no complaints.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent place, excellent staff they provide me everything I want. Definetly it was a pleasure t9 stay there. Thank you for all.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitable staff, amazing view from the balcony, clean and tidy room and a good selection of food for breakfast.
Cons: It's a bit hard to find it the first time because street numbers are a bit weird.
6,7 Good
Pros: The breakfast buffet and the lovely ladies who served it.
Cons: The Proprietor who checked us in and in particular we did not get the accommodation that we paid for, i.e. a two bedroom apartment with kitchen, dining and lounge, and a balcony with sea views. We got got a bedsitter with no room for four people to sit and watch TV, a bathroom and another bedroom. The Proprietor got very angry when I insisted this was not what I had booked and said we could leave then. The youngest of the four people travelling was 76; all healthy, but still it was not convenient to have one couple having to sleep in the lounge area.

5,0 Okay
Pros: Location outside busy Zedar and on the water edge was great!
Cons: Up until now everyone we have encountered has been very friendly. In general the staff were unhappy and general atmosphere was unwelcoming. Save for Maria who let us leave our car in the carpark after checkout while we lounged on the beach.
7,1 Good
Pros: Jacuzzi on the sun terrace. Good breakfast.
Cons: Staff was quite rude during our arrivil. Only information we got about the hotel was a piece of paper. The gym and inside pool are for extra cost.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Looking passed the sunbeds the view of the sea and surrounding area.
Cons: Our room was on the sun deck. Didnt like the fact when we looked out there were people lying on sunbeds- not very private for us.
7,9 Good
Pros: The hotel is very nicely decorated.

Pros: Friendly staff in restaurant and reception. Breakfast was excellent with every kind of food on offer. The view from our balcony was superb, to watch the sunsets from our balcony was a real treat. Frequent bus service to centre of Zadar which stopped outside hotel.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms, good beds, excellent food (for kids and adults), good pools, good spa center with 2 big saunas which were not crowded at any time; kids really loved the big playground; overall excellent family hotel!
Cons: Overall it’s a clean hotel, but maybe it could be a little bit cleaner
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Waterside was fun, pools are enjoyable. The coastline is very nice to walk
Cons: Cleaning the beach and shoreline of garbage
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing, they made an extra effort to make us feel welcomed. The pool and the beach are very nice. The variety of food is impressive.
Cons: The logistics around parking could use improvement. You are required to park in a garage which is 100 meters away, but carrying language in hot burning sun with no trolleys is not easy. The prices are also quite high.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very family friendly enviroment, nice and friendly staff. Special thanks to the reception manager Ana for being really heplful with our booking. We'll keep coming back for sure.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Kids areas and kids team are amazing, rooms with extra "room" within for the kids are great
Cons: The value for money is non existant. We paid 770 Euros for 2 nights and it is not worth it. Hotel needs refurbishing (public areas -rooms are great). Food just ok. Paying over 350 Eur per night and there is nobody to offer coffe or water at the table for breakfast? No towels around pool area. Ni drinks service around pool area. Outdoor seats (eating area and bar) are like they just came out of the 1990ties. No ice/ice machines, no extra glasses or bottle openers in the room. Beach not nice, so all the crowds at the pool. No doctor on site (30 min a day, with no supplies to work with at all). Location about 20/25 min driving to the city. All in all, its a good hotel but sooooo not worth the price.
6,3 Good
Pros: The food was good , the pools were very nice , and the beach was very beautiful. The whole resort was perfect. The rooms were very nice . The ambient was very family - friendly.
Cons: The staff was horrible , unexperienced . They caused us problems with the payment , and the reservation. They kept us there for like an hour just for the payment. They took us more money than the reservation (71 euro + 280 euro in cash). They tried to trick us with their money value ( Croatian Kuna ) , just so they could get what they wanted.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous facilities, from the pool area, to the outside dining area. Great breakfast and dinner. Easy access to the beach. Room was ample and clean. Very friendly staff. Free parking.
Cons: No lift to the higher floors, which can be a hassle if you have much luggage or are elderly.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very welcoming. Ivo in the restaurant was really good. The location to the beach was really nice. Overall really nice hotel, slightly out of the town but with Uber only costing £3-4 it wasn’t an issue. Finally a good bar selection!!
Cons: There was no kettle or alternatives to the coffee machine. No iron which after travelling is quite important to iron shirts etc. The trees - if they were reduced slightly you would have more sun, but in hot months I suspect this is a blessing. Finally the window between the bathroom and bedroom is a little odd, but the blind is there if needed.

Pros: Garden and terace of the restaurant are wonderfull!!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money, friendly staff, clean room, nice SPA facilities (I had a super good massage)
Cons: Not the nicest beach nearby

Pros: We stayed in September 2019 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our room was clean and comfortable on the ground floor overlooking the pool. The staff were lovely and gave us a bottle of champagne on our anniversary. The hotel is within walking distance of three nice restaurants, a bar overlooking the sea, a cafe and a small supermarket. The number 8 bus runs every 20 minutes into Zadar.
Cons: Coffee and tea in the room would be nice. I need coffee when I wake up!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: New hotel on the water with large bedroom and sitting room. Great pool area. Super staff that was exceptionally helpful when I had problems with my rental car. Two nice little beach bars within a couple of minutes and a nice restaurant 10 minutes by foot. 15 minute bus ride to the old town. A taxi costs only 40 Kr. Nice and peaceful to get away from from all the bus loads of tourists. Not a hotel for the night club crowd.
Cons: The mattress sagged in the middle and needs replacement, you can roll off. A missing feature for this ambient kind of hotel would be an elevator as most guests were older.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place to stay , lovely breakfast and you could have coffee, cake and biscuits anytime of the day , lovely soft bed, pool area beautiful right on the beach.

7,5 Good
Pros: Stayed here for one night as close to Zadar airport. Staff helpful and booked early taxi to airport for us, taxi cost €20 and took 10-15 minutes. The hotel has a real 1980's feel to it and I found quite charming. It took me back to that era in a nice way. The restaurant on site was actually very nice food and good service. The bonus was the small beech opposite, you don't except at a hotel nearby airport. I would recommend for one night stay if you have early flight not otherwise.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Big room with sea view and was setback from the road so didn’t find it noisy. Staff very helpful and breakfast was good. Uber to Zadar only around £15
Cons: Room had a slightly funny smell on arrival and no lift so had to carry heavy suitcases up stairs.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: Staff very friendly but the waiter we encountered in the restaurant was rude, pointing out immediately, before any greeting, that the table was too big for us. We were two and had taken seats at the end of two tables that had been put together(so could easily taken aside again which he did later) as we came at the end of lunchtime, 2.45pm I couldn’t see why he reacted that way as all the other tables had been taken. Without saying anything he went away and we waited quite a long time, just before I had decided we were going to go somewhere else, he returned and parted the tables again. Not particularly good service in an otherwise nice hotel.

Pros: Zoran is the nicest host that I have ever met !! He arranged everything for me and I didn't have to worry about anything during my holidays, he told me what to see, where to go and eat and each day greeted me with a smile. Breakfast was delicious and I even received something extra to eat during the day. Room was very clean. Rooms are simple but they have everything you need during holidays. There is nice walk distance to the beach and old city. All the staff was so nice that they have made my stay very good one!

Pros: The breakfast was delicious and the staff was super friendly.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Easy parking. The room is spacious and clean. Delicious breakfast. We also had dinner at the restaurant and the famous roast lamb is highly recommended.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly staff, but not located near centre. If you want to get into the old centre of Zadar on a Friday or Saturday, do take a taxi! (Very little parking available at the old town). Free parking at the hotel. Breakfast fine.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very helpful. Room is clean and spacious. Free parking in front.
Cons: narrow parking places
7,9 Good
Pros: The staff was very nice and very kind.
Cons: A little bit far from the center (old Town of Zadar).
6,0 Good
Pros: Very helpful staff. They dont speak much english, but make up for that with the excellent service.Breakfast options are good and is actually served at the restaurant below.
Cons: Not at the centre of the city, and is about a mile away. However this is not a problem, as there are taxi's that could take you there for cheap.
5,7 Okay
Pros: Clean, comfortable and friendly hotel. Restaurant food good. Down side, distance from old city, lack of tourist information in the hotel, no maps.
Cons: Food good, menu limited, though spit roasts a speciality.
7,7 Good
Pros: very nice welcoming, nice breakfast
5,3 Okay
Pros: Very good value for money relationship. Ideal for one night.
6,0 Good
Pros: Good quality hotel with an excellent restaurant.
7,6 Good
Pros: i read lots about location being not so good but it was actually ok given that it is easy to find from bus station 20 min walk straight on and a 35 min walk to centre but bus stop is next to hotel.
Cons: maybe the fact that it was no mini bar in room and i prefer to have breakfast buffet but that is nothing major
6,0 Good
Pros: although it was not within walking distance from town,it was quite pleasant to stay..room was good size and good bathroom with excellent shower....they gave an option for cooked breakfast as well, included in price...
Cons: i prefer something closer, but was 10 mins by car and free parking was available if you knew where to look....had satelite t.v but no one knew how to work it...
5,6 Okay
Pros: Well located on the main road, rooms are comfortable and clean, good spot to discover the city or to catch the ferry boats
Cons:
5,2 Okay
Pros: Personnel were very friendly but not informed to guide tourists as they are the waiters of the restaurant.
Cons: There is not lift to second floor where the rooms are located.
6,4 Good
Pros: Staff were very nice. Room was clean and had aircon. Nice breakfast apart from omelette.
Cons: The room smelled of cigarette smoke. At breakfast, the omelette was terrible. There was no help/info about how to get from the airport to the hotel. It was quite a distance to the city centre from the hotel and again no information was available about buses - not really a handy hotel for anyone wanting to see Zadar.

6,7 Good
Pros: Pool area was lovely but couldn’t get a bed. Room was spacious and clean
Cons: The shower in the room was flooded each time we used it, water underneath it and in the tiles too. Cleaner just put towels on it to mop it up as did we use nearly all our towels to do it too. Staff in reception were tired and rude. Buses pulling up in the morning collecting tours was very loud and just outside our window.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Very good food selection and quality. The beach nice and good maintended.
Cons: Nice room but very noisy due to bus with running motor without reason about 1 hour under my balcon (3 times at cca 9-10p.m.) Very loud refrigirator-stuff didn't react. I visited this hotel for 4th time.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The food was very good and the room comfortable. The beach beneath the hotel is beautiful. The whole area (Zadar, Nin) is extremely interesting.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Loved the sunset - perfect location to see the sunset.
Cons: False advertisement of a premium room! Make sure you do not get the 5th floor. You only have a tiny window and your balcony has a tall wall that only as an adult standing can you look over. :( not even one picture online shows that type of room. When I complaint to an Assistant Manager in the Morning, he said he would look into it....upon check out, he was unavailable and the staff had no idea.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The half board included in the price was EXCELLENT! One of the best food and variety. The cleaning lady's attitude was great and the job done was also great. The animation team is great and managed to get the people involved every day. The outdoor pool is excellent, also the indoor pool but the water temperature in the indoor pool was extremely cold - did not manage more than 5 minutes. Everywhere in the resort, also on the beach restaurant you can put anything on the room, so you do not have to carry a wallet.
Cons: The room was extremely small, we hardly had a space to walk in front of our beds when leaving the luggage (there is no space to put luggage). Even that on booking was stated that the 3'rd person is charged when using an additional bed, and we didn't needed it for my 12 year old daughter, we were charged 385EURO in addition the price from booking being told they charge for persons (this is my first time experience being told like this - we just came from Rabac/Croatia with the same booking type and we were not taken additional money)!!! There is no lock on the bath room door, it's only sliding but there is no stop for it because there is no lock on it. The sun beds you have to pay separately on the beach - that's just not right for a 4 star hotel, same as at the pool, it should be included for hotel guests.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great choice of juice at breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the hotel decor, the helpful staff and the food was very good.
Cons: Nothing adverse to comment.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated exactly on the beach, the staff is friendly and the food is various. Absolutely recommendable!
Cons: Maybe the outdoor part of the restaurant could be separated into two smooking and non smooking areas.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: close to d beach
Cons: location is a bit remote and our room was on top of the service room which was noisy early morning when they were bringing in stuff
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A nice hotel with sweet, clean and comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. Food was very good, and for everybody's taste - we really had lot's of different variants to choose from. The beaches are all around the hotel and there are many activities to choose. It's a good stay for visiting the city Nin which is only 5 km far from the Petrčane and really nice place to see.
Cons: It's a big hotel so there are lot's of people there and because of that it can be a little crowded and noisy at the breakfasts and dinners but there are plenty of tables to find some good place so it's not a big of a problem.

Cons: I didnt mind but someone may have problem that there is no lift and the access is quite steep.

Cons: The furniture and the appliance were awfull The AA just was only one anda never gave any cold and we stayed un august.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: We spent one night at this hotel on the way to a Croatian island. It served the purpose very well. It has a pleasant beach, good restaurant and is just ten minutes drive from the main highway.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed the one night as our flight into zadar was a late one and needed somewhere to stay on route to our main holiday location but we’ve definitely made a note to stay here again for longer to make the most of the beautiful and private location. Really clean, comfortable and breakfast variety was amazing. Staff very friendly :)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The warm, comfortable room with lovely sea view.
Cons: I didn't notice any signs to the hotel. But GPS worked. Parking above so many steps.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close enough to stroll into the Old Town (15 minute walk to the Land Gate) which was fine because the Old Town itself is not too large for walking around to see sights. Very close to the beach in Kolovare which was nice for a dip in the sea!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel worked out great for my little group. The location was great as it has a big beach but it close to town. It was clean, the staff was friendly, the pool was nice, and the food was good.
7,1 Good
Cons: The half board option should not be available on booking.com, the hotel is a tour bus hotel and the restaurant is so crowded and noisy, just like a bus station. With all respect to the hotel, the setting of the restaurant is like a staff canteen of the past.
6,3 Good
Pros: The location was good for walking into the old town. Our bedroom was fine, although the lighting was rather odd.
Cons: Breakfast was only ok. The juices were very watery. There was always a queue for hot drinks. This could have been improved with providing mugs rather than small cups.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Definitely not 4 star hotel. Very small rooms, very poor facilities, terrible food, not central location. Cannot be rated higher than 2 stars.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location excellent staff
Cons: Could do with real orange juice for breakfast
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Room and location of the hotel are spot on. It’s on a 10 min walk from the old city gates and just a 3 min walk from Kolovare beach which is amazing.
Cons: Lack of Wellness Centar.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good location short walk to centre. Good sized room and comfortable but a little dated. Swimming pool.
Cons: Large cafeteria style dining room. Big hotel lots of groups.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Close to freeway was the only good thing about this hotel.
Cons: Breakfast was weenies. We woke up to no water at all and could not shower, use the sink or the toilet. The ratings on the internet are overrated. We couldn't wait to leave and should have continued in our trip to stay in Zagreb where there are More hotels and places to eat, The date on the water bottle in the hotel room was expired. The sink stopper was stuck down and we had to put our hands in dirty water to pry out the stopped with the hotel key. When we checked in there was one employee running everything, check in, bar, restaurant. The TV was about 20 yrs old.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of parking. Large room layout. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
Cons: N/a
7,5 Good
Pros: The location was brilliant. A 10 minutes walk to the old town gate. Easy to find. Good parking.
Cons: The shower was over the bath which had very high sides making it difficult to get in and out of. The shower screen was not effective and water went over the floor making it slippery. The room had a balcony but it was difficult to see anything of value from it due to the dense screen. Room was basic. No drawers or wardrobe. Glad I was staying only 1night as I couldn't unpack anything. Lights went out if one of us went out with the room key leaving the other one in the room. Very expensive for what it was.

Pros: Very kind and helpfull owners. Speak good English. The apartment is clean and spacious enough with a small patio. Lovely garden with olive and fig trees. Even got fresh figs from the owner! 6,0 Good
Cons: I didn't like the fact they had no irons allowed in the rooms. I like a coffee in the morning and unless you went to the restaurant during the opening times you couldn't get one. They do have a coffee machine in reception but you cannot get one until 10am. I think they should switch the machine on by at least 6am for those who enjoy a coffee before breakfast. Do take your own tea bags too as the ones they use are dreadful
5,8 Okay
Pros: This hotel is quite away from Zadar, hardly anything around the area. We were the only English in the hotel, didnt get acknowledged by any of the staff except the cleaner, felt like we didnt belong. We had to go into another hotel 50mtrs across the carpark for our meals which wasnt ideal but the food was ok to be fair. There was entertainment during our stay but sang in Croatian (I think). Plenty of sunbeds on the grassed area but a lot of them are dirty, pool area ok.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location right on the stony beach. The sea was amazing. Free private parking. Food was excellent in the all inclusive with plenty of choice and very friendly staff. The old town is easily reachable by bus. Excellent value for money.
Cons: The bed was soft and uncomfortable for me.
7,5 Good
Pros: Clean, comfortable room. Not too far from the airport and not too distant from the old town. Fab selection of food in the restaurant.
Cons: Bit quiet but it was nearing the end of the season. No sunbeds around the pool maybe also due to it being the end of the season.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Very disappointing. Like buttons
Cons: All of it. Poor quality furniture inside and out
9,2 Excellent
Pros: They let us keep our room for an extra 2 hours and looked after our cases
Cons: NA
6,3 Good
Pros: The beds were comfy
Cons: Flies on food in restaurant. Hot items at breakfast were cold. Some bedding was dirty in room. It all looked a bit 1970s butlins chalet. Dirty air con unit in restaurant right next to tables. The hotel is in desperate need of an update.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Close to airport Close to ZAdar
Cons: A bit tired, uncomfortable bed, air conditioning not working but fixed the next day
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing, but the receptionist was lovely
Cons: Everything
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet included in price
Cons: Given, it was challenging for the staff that my arrival flight was in the middle of the night, I still had to wait more than half an hour before a clerk showed up at the front desk
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Art Depandansa in Zadar, you'll be near the beach, within a 10-minute drive of Kresimir Cosic Hall and Port Gate. Limited parking is available onsite.
5,7 Okay
Pros: Able to drive to the Old Town in Zadar
Cons: Breakfast was minimalistic - probably the least satisfying of our trip to Croatia. They were unable/unwilling to process a credit card payment.
4,7 Okay
Pros: Our room was comfortable and clean. We stayed one night. Good enough for one night. Breakfast was just okay.
Cons: The bathroom blow dryer hose was shredded to pieces & useless. We stayed one night. The staff were kinda friendly but were hard to locate when needing to leave. They were (about 4) busy in the kitchen, pushing and yelling at one another. We went to pay with credit card and staff lady said it was not working so we had to pay cash. She refused to sign a receipt so got owner who was also the chef. He had to hunt for a hotel stamp. We were not satisfied with this and hope we are not billed twice.
3,7 Mediocre
Pros: Location was good
Cons: Very basic room, needs updating. Later we stayed in hotels of a much better standard for the same price. We were informed that the credit card machine was out of order when we checked out, leaving us short of local currency for the remainder of our holiday.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Only worth it if there is nothing else. It's far from the center (which we already knew) and very overpriced for what they offer. It feels like the staff want to rip you off (they charge me 3 euro for ironing a t-shirt). Breakfast is very poor but that seems to be the norm in Croatia. There was mould in the shower.
6,3 Good
Pros: If we saw all the negative reiews before, we were a little bit affraid but very y friendly staff, clean rooms, compared price/quality it was even very good, we had a tripple room with 2 bedrooms so space enought, everything was working properly, tv, wifi. We definitly going back there
Cons: Breakfast was very basic, but if you asked for something they brought it, we really cannot complain!
5,3 Okay
Pros: The room was nice.
Cons: The listing said Wi-Fi was available for free. I tried to connect to the Wi-Fi via my netbook and it kept asking for a password, but the staff insisted there was NOT a password. The English skills were some of the poorest I came across during my stay in Croatia.
4,7 Okay
Pros:
Cons: No Internet Service in rooms as advertised
