Pros: The room and bathroom was gorgeous. The hotel staff was also top notch. We were spoiled with popcorn and beers after returning from our night out which really was a super awesome surprise.
Cons: We found the bed to be very uncomfortable. For one thing, There was no top sheet, just a comforter. The king bed was not made very well, every time my husband or I moved during the night the other was woken up. The air conditioning didnt seem to work well either in room 1510.

Pros: Personal service! Every need is met. Each staff member went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be. For instance, Chef Nathan, who we met upstairs while looking over the menu, offered to make us special dinners in preparation for our marathon the next day. He led us to the casual restaurant and custom created pasta dishes for us! What a treat! It was delicious! Also,every encounter was greeted with such politeness! The live music was awesome. We were on the street side and it was quiet, unlike another report. I LOVE THIS HOTEL!

Pros: Good location near Canada Place and the waterfront. Walking distance to Gaslamp. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. We had an issue with noise due to some late-night partiers and management upgraded and moved us the next day after quieting the offending room. Couldn't be happier with the quality and cleanliness all throughout. The cafes and restaurants were very convenient as well.
We traveled with our three young children and everyone was very nice and respectful the entire time, we never felt out of place. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but could see that it was being used by kids on both days we were there.
Room service was fantastic and the service was great as well.

Cons: In a world where wifi has become fundamental for communication and information, and is offered for free all over the world because it is an inexpensive way to draw business, the fairmont charges $14 per day. I would have paid if it was just included in the already expensive room rate. As intended, I didn't read the fine print and was shocked to find out I had to go to the lobby to work. I was on a business trip. Also, I had to set the thermostat to 90, the maximum, to warm the room. It was never comfortably warm.

Pros: So many things to love. We were allowed to check in early after arriving at 0700 and getting off a stupidly long flight from Brisbane. The accomodation is in the perfect location. Close to shops; awesome cafe in the same building (OMG the coffee rivals the stuff we enjoy in Australia, and the. croissants are incredible); there's a rental bike shop around the corner to ride around the parks and down to the food markets; you can stroll down to the waters edge. So good. We loved it.

The location is a plus; we have stayed at other hotels closer to the water but we wanted to be further in the heart of downtown to be closer to art gallery & shopping; Rosewood Hotel Georgia was perfect.

Heck us in was enthusiastic about her job and tried to help us every way she could. We arrived very early from a cruise and our room was not ready. She kept us informed about the room. She also checked with the restaurant that we made reservations at to verify the time and made an additional reservation for the following evening. She told us that she was a student in a hospitality and tourism program. I’m sure she will be successful and the Executive Hotel Le Soleilel is very lucky to have her as an employee

Heck us in was enthusiastic about her job and tried to help us every way she could. We arrived very early from a cruise and our room was not ready. She kept us informed about the room. She also checked with the restaurant that we made reservations at to verify the time and made an additional reservation for the following evening. She told us that she was a student in a hospitality and tourism program. I’m sure she will be successful and the Executive Hotel Le Soleilel is very lucky to have her as an employee

Pros: Aside from being everything I look for in a hotel—quiet, great views, luxuriously comfortable bed, friendly and attentive staff, beautiful architecture and decor throughout—its location really makes it special when it comes to exploring the city.
It's perfectly situated along major bus and train routes, and you'll never spend more than a minute or so hailing a cab on the street (which is great, as there's currently no Uber or Lyft). Vancouver's already a super walkable city, but this makes it incredibly easy to get around without a car.
Even then, you're never more than a few blocks from great food, art (the Vancouver Art Gallery is across the street), landmarks, parks, entertainment and shopping.
It also smells phenomenal. Stay there.

Executive suite was nice but only 7th floor. Bad view of pool/buildings. Outdated inside suite. Mismatched door hardware and odd bath/shower setup. No soaker tubs.

Cons: The hotel had a scheduled power outage between midnight and 5am. We found out about it at check in. They said lights and power outlets would not work, but failed to mentioned that the heating system would also not work. No compensation was offered.

Pros: I liked everything. The modern rooms were well equipped and excellently laid out. Everything worked and everything was spotless. We arrived a few hours early but they let us check in straight away. They think of everything in this hotel and nothing is too much trouble. I’m here during the corona virus outbreak and even though the restaurants had to close and the only food available was room service, the staff would set up a full table in your room for your meal and then take it away again when you’ve finished. I literally can’t fault it. After checking out early from a poor hotel down the road from here, this place is a breath of fresh air

We were looking very forward to a nice swim after an evening out for dinner and nope it was closed by 8:00. And then in the morning it didn’t open till 8:00? Boo! and even worse our kid had a view from the room with the neighbouring hotel and their pool open and people enjoying themselves. The fitness clerk at the membership desk, no customer service skills.He knew we were not a member and that we were staying at the hotel and perhaps that’s why he couldn’t be bothered to be nice. And the parking let’s just say that was as good as the pool situation. Loved the room and location though. Won’t be back though. It’s important for us that hotels are inclusive to all!

Cons: The room was not clean. One bed had fresh blood stains on the sheets. We called housekeeping to address and they did that night. But they also suggested that if our sleep wasn't too important that they could change the bed in the morning. We had them change the bedding immediately. We never heard from anyone else so de "tested" the maid by leaving some unkempt areas for verification. Example, a used coffee pod in the Keurig. She didn't remove it. Gross. Won't stay here again.

Cons: The rooms are looking in need of an update soon. We have always stayed at the Metropolitan when we come to Vancouver, because of their great location, friendly service and great rates. We have noticed that since the change of ownership, things are quite as personal when we are making bookings ( they don't recognize that we have been staying there so often over the years), but the service at the hotel is still excellent.

Pros: The room was dirty,bathroom floors dirty ,walls filthy.room 1101.Garbage czn never cleaned .l have pictures.I had to argue to getthe free breakfast voucher ,as l was told l did not pay enough for the room to get a free meal.wife will never go back.

Pros: I stayed at hotel on third week of April 2020, which was during Corona virus outbreak, came for work had to stay somewhere. I felt very safe staying here,seems like hotel did everything to keep guests safe, all personal distancing and everything else,all nine yards. Plus I was upgraded to bigger room, suit actually, wasn't charged for parking either. Just the way hotel was handling all virus situation was impressive. And I had a chance to stay in few hotels during this pandemic. Location is perfect too.

Pros: We have stayed here twice for several days during the COVID shutdown as my daughter was doing treatment across the street at St. Paul's,so they were not able to offer their normal full facilities. Really just the room. Everything else was shut down. But the room (actually a one-bedroom apartment) more than met our needs. They offered an incredibly discounted rate - there was really no comparison with anything else, in what we got for the price. It was very large and comfortable. Although staff were not coming in to clean (they would come if you asked when you were away from the room) they were very good about keeping us stocked up with clean towels, shampoo etc. You could order ahead from the restaurant and have it delivered to the room and they did offer a free breakfast from the coffee shop downstairs. Mostly pastries and sandwiches. The most important thing to us was feeling safe staying there during the COVID outbreak and I have to give them kudos there. They did, I think, everything possible to reduce risk of transmission.

Pros: Room was spacious, great view of downtown, housekeeping was prompt when we needed them, nice friendly staff. Free parking and free breakfast each morning were a great addition to our stay. Loved the kitchenette. Made us feel like a home away from home. ♥️

Cons: The rooms were dingy and kinda gross. It seems like the day to day cleaning is done decently but the general upkeep and overall appearance was not appealing. Also, the staff didn't seem to care much about the complaints and the hotel in general seemed to be more interested in taking care of tour groups then anyone else
