Pros: The location was superb and breakfast buffet was excellent-food was delicious! We loved the "Handy" phone provided by the hotel-complimentary which was extremely helpful and handy! Suica cards given by the hotel was very convenient for travelers especially for trains or subways not covered by JR pass. The staff was extremely helpful and they even provided an escort service to our train platform so we would not get lost.

Pros: The location was superb and breakfast buffet was excellent-food was delicious! We loved the "Handy" phone provided by the hotel-complimentary which was extremely helpful and handy! The staff was extremely helpful and they even provided an escort service to our train platform so we would not get lost.
Cons: We didn't really like our room because it had very little space to put our luggage and no space to put our clothes out. If we have the choice and come back to Tokyo for our next visit again, for sure we would ask for a city view and larger room. We also didn't like that we had to pay extra fees for using the gym facility and it opens later in the morning on Saturdays and Sundays.

Pros: - great location, in front of palace, close to station, view on marunouchi - staff are probably the best in the world... its really a special service, the room cleaning is from other world, repair ur clothes, come at your call, do 2nd service at night, put orgiami paper for you for decoration. - Hotel lobby, live classical music or other mysic with instruments... you never saw that in other hotels. - pool is amazing, nice view... be careful its slippery - bed is super soft, cozy - all the room is automatic, on table board at your command - the room has a nice couch, which i actually used to watch TV, cuz it was super comfy, not these decorative couches - you also have a separate room for you clothes. hey this hotel is the best in the world, and not so crazy price considering.

Pros: I was only in Tokyo for two days. I have always wanted to see the City so I stayed as a long lay-over. I have traveled quite a bit and mostly stay at high end hotels. The room was amazing. It was large, clean and the bed was perfect. I think the one thing that stood out was the service. I mostly felt with the front desk manager Tetsuro Nakamura. Cons: Very expensive - could have put a few "extras" in room to make it feel a little more welcoming - like the rice crackers each night, instead of just the first night; sweets at the end of the day. The second night the maid forgot to put the top sheet on the bed - we had to call housekeeping as we were getting ready for bed. They delivered it promptly, but we had to ask the man who brought the top sheet to make the bed up - not us. That was the only glitch - but for the cost of this hotel, there really should be NO glitches.

Pros: The best thing with the Royal Park Hotel Tokyo Shiodome is by far it's location. You get with one metro/train directly to the hotel from Narita airport. So hotel suits very well international guests. And after you have lodged, you can easiy travel almost anywhere in Tokyo, while most of the metro lines go through Shimbuya or Ginza stations, which are both very near. At least cheapest rooms are quite small, but there is everything you need. But coming back to the hotel after a nice dinner during a rainy evening might be a big disappointment. The only bar can close already at ten o'clock and there is no mini bar (at least in cheapest rooms). There is nice pub round the corner (open to 22:30). Others are a little bit further away.

Cons: Size of a economy room is quite moderate, but luckily space is well used. The lack of services can be sometimes annoying. Luckily next side of garden is station and you can find almost everything from there. An just few hundreds meters from the hotel is Ginza with an amazing variety of restaurants.

Cons: The room was very basic and small, even if we chose one that was supposed to be bigger (and it was, but there is a huge desk and a useless chest of drawers that take more than half of the free space). The bed was also very small. I understand that hotel rooms in Tokyo are small, but for the price we paid, we expected it to have better conditions. Maybe avoid the giant desk and the chest of drawers that most probably no one will use... Also, the breakfast options were very limited and the space where breakfast is served is too tight for people to circulate. The staff in the breakfast room are so busy dealing with all the people that they are sometimes a bit too rough with the guests. (One of the staff members slapped my hand because I was trying to take coffee from the machine and didn't notice she had removed a lid and was about to clean the machine). We were very disappointed by these details, again, because of what we paid, we expected more.

Pros: My November stay in Tokyo was switched from Okura Hotel to Sheraton Miyako Hotel, because Okura was demolished in May this year for a new hotel building to be reopened in 2018. So all the evaluations given here are for Miyako Hotel.
The hotel is excellent, very roomy and update. It offers all what a ordinary traveler needs and beyond. Its location is great right in the middle of several subway stations, only Meguro station and takaniwa station are within walking distance. But, scheduled hotel buses taking hotel guests to Meguro and Shinagawa station is an excellent way to help hotel guests move around.
Do your homework and find out what time the airport limousine bus can take you from airports to Miyako Hotel before you buy airline tickets. Because the bus schedule is very odd. I came to Miyako from Tokyo Haneda Airport, the airport limousine bus only runs twice in the morning and once in the late evening (Good for red eyed flight guests). If you come to the hotel any time between those schedules, you need to find out what is the nearest hotel or subway stations to Miyako the airport bus can take you to, then take taxi from there to Miyako.

Cons: Since it's new, there's a bit of hype around the opening and lots of locals are curious to see the place which makes the place overcrowded. The problem being that they do not prioritize hotel customers, we were therefore denied access to the bar because it was "fully booked". The same happened at breakfast, we had to wait in line for 25min because there were so many people from outside the hotel coming to eat.

Cons: I lost my ring at this hotel!!! If other guest does not want to miss your loving belongings, do not go to this new hotel!!! I put my wedding ring on the left hole of make-up room’s mirror, the ring was put next to small white box of brand “three”, we are sure the ring was still at there. The housekeepers were on the shift which cleaned my room who said that they didn’t see it. It is an obvious place that I put my ring. The housekeepers if they follow SOP they would clean every corner of room, I don’t think housekeepers didn’t see my ring. I required talking with housekeepers who cleaned my room face to face. I told to executive housekeeper and duty manager about this, unfortunately nobody in your hotel gives me feedbacks. I feel unbelievable of this, no one gives guest reaction immediately, no one dare to responsible for helping guests solve this emergency, no one has good suggestion or compensation plan to calm guest’s inconvenience. Even guests waited the feedback on the hotel’s lobby last 1 hour long, no one knows staffs should give guests one bottle of water to wait. Many details show your hotel staff didn’t get training very well. For example, staffs didn’t follow normal SOP, when I checked out first room , no staffs checked the room first immediately, so guests don’t know what we left in the room. The other example is front desk staff’s English is really poor, and they don’t want to do extra things out of their responsibility. In Oct.3rd night, I want to change dirty towels and trash boxes in my room, when I told to staffs in front desk and they could not speak and understood simple English, I used 40 minutes to let the front desk staff know what I mean and they still said no housekeepers at night, so guests do it by themselves? Finally front desk came to my room and changed. No housekeepers stand by to guests’ emergency. Front desk staff’s behavior show me, just do what they should do and no responsible for other things.

Cons: We stayed on reward points as ambassadors. We were treated appallingly. The room was average for the type of hotel we were staying in. The staff were quite standoffish, considering we had just come from Intercontinental Delete repeated word Bay where the service was outstanding and we could not fault a single thing it was a huge disappointment to be treated like this. When we went for dinner in the restaurant we were not even offered a drinks or wine list the whole meal and they forgot my meal altogether. When they cleaned the room they left dirty dishes behind. I never complain about anywhere that I stay but it was enough to taint my holiday. When we checked out they did not even ask us how the stay was. We are Platinum members.

Pros: Very clean rooms in a safe place, also had a laundry room and a Lawson convenient store downstairs. If room size matters to you, reserve the superior double room for yourself. I got 2 of these rooms, one for myself and the other for my daughter. At the end of each day we were able to rest comfortably in a bigger bed. Also in the morning of checkout day, we were able to leave our luggages for later pickup. Workers at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. Love to come back again.

No waste here - you will find no lush common areas or anything extravagant. Pros: VERY close to subway station that will switch from subway/train (No change of train) to get you to/from NRT for about $12. (as long as you don't pick rush hours there is plenty of room for you to hold your luggage near you).
Not in a prime area of town so you will have to walk min 1-2miles or hop on a subway to get somewhere more popular. Nice area though, quiet and easy to get around.
I stayed in Shinjuku the first few nights and loved the walk-ability. Then I did about 5 days of traveling Japan. I chose this hotel on my way back because of the price and access to stations. I was nervous about getting back to NRT. You can quickly get to the train station for the express train, but planned right, it doesnt take much longer to take the one right outside of the hotel.

Pros: Incredibly energy efficient (no waste here!) while at the same time beaitiful and professional. Everything felt solid, well-built and well designed. No waste here - you will find no lush common areas or anything extravagant. But what it does, it does extremely well: we slept like kings, had luxuriant long showers, amenities were perfect, front desk was helpful and attentive, breakfast was delicious and the coffee was awesome. Perfect to use as a crash pad while touring Japan!
Cons: They could improve their room service options. Also, while I understand the target market is mainly locals, they should aim to hire staff with a bit more foreign language proficiency. This would be fair - people who go through the trouble of learning a foreign language should be rewarded with a good job at APA.

Pros: VERY close to subway station that will switch from subway/train (No change of train) to get you to/from NRT for about $12. (as long as you don't pick rush hours there is plenty of room for you to hold your luggage near you).
Not in a prime area of town so you will have to walk min 1-2miles or hop on a subway to get somewhere more popular. Nice area though, quiet and easy to get around.
I stayed in Shinjuku the first few nights and loved the walk-ability. Then I did about 5 days of traveling Japan. I chose this hotel on my way back because of the price and access to stations. I was nervous about getting back to NRT. You can quickly get to the train station for the express train, but planned right, it doesnt take much longer to take the one right outside of the hotel.
Cons: The rooms are tiny, but I knew that going in. Considering I had no intention of spending much time in the room I wasn't too concerned. The pillows are VERY flat, it would be nice if they would throw in a secondary option.
The only thing Im not a big fan of with the APA hotels is that once you leave your room (and take the card out of the slot) the lights and electricity turn off. This means that you cannot leave devices charging when you are outside of your room. There are also very few electrical outlets available in general.. so if you want to dry your hair while charging items you may have to swap them out.
