Pros: The hotel is beautifully appointed, with large rooms featuring marble bathrooms, mechanic curtains, exceptional service, and a stunning view of the gardens and pagoda. It seems that it is a wedding destination, with a storybook setting. For Tokyo, the price was a good value for the size of room and luxurious setting, the reason is the location isn't as central and train access isn't as readily available as many other luxury hotels. I was there for business travel, but this would be a suitable location for a romantic trip.

Pros: It's a uniquely beautiful hotel. There is no other with such beautiful, serene and peaceful grounds. The staff are exceptionally gracious and hospitable. It is wonderful to come back here after a busy day in very busy Tokyo. It is a short walk to a very good, family owned sushi restaurant near Edogawabashi station.

Pros: The hotel property itself is nothing short of beautiful. The rooms have great views of the city and the expansive garden which is a oasis in the middle of the sprawling Tokyo metropolis. The staff is always prompt and friendly and ready to accommodate anything you may need.

Pros: Location highly convenient with train station located only minutes away. Lots of shopping in Ikebukuro. Hotel employees very accommodating and highly professional.

Pros: Excellent hotel with excellent service. Only after I had checked-out and arrived at the airport over an hour away did I realize I inadvertently left some very important items in my room. The staff at the hotel was extremely patient, kind, and went out of their way to send the items to us via their airport bus service at no cost to us. If not for housekeeping, the front desk, and guest relations coordinating the delivery and finding people that spoke our language to communicate with us, as well as the airport's helpful staff watching out for the right bus for us, we would have been lost. Special thanks to Mayumi Okuma-san. That's what I call superior service. I will always be grateful and will definitely stay at this hotel whenever I am in Tokyo.

Pros: The location was exceptional. Incredibly centered and in a quiet section of Ikebukuro where you could truly get anywhere in a short time. Anyone with a JR Rail Pass will really benefit if you can get a spot here. The hotel otherwise is a little smaller than what the pictures on the website allude, but its not a big deal if you are out and about travelling.

Pros: I like that they have bus service to and from both Tokyo airports (Haneda and Narita). This is very convenient. I also like that it's very close to the train station. Very convenient location overall and rooms are very nice and clean.

Pros: The rooms are clean, the place is fine, the service is great. They don't skip a beat. The room safe is really convenient.

Pros: Our stay at APA Sugamo was was very comfortable! We had a great view and the bed was perfect! We appreciated the cheap laundry on site and the bath on the upper floor. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Pros: Humble, great value for what we paid, just enough room to be comfortable. Love the microwave and room amenities. Bathroom a bit small, but that's any Japanese style bathroom for that size of a space. Will recommend for short stays, max a week or two.

Pros: The bed was good. I slept very well. The location is near a huge railway station and underground market. Also they will give you a bottle of water every day after bed making.
