From the moment I checked in the staff went out of their way to provide excellent service. They even changed my room to a garden view. Turn down service was nice. AC worked amazing. Room was quiet. Staff at breakfast were very kind. Bellhop helped me get a cab to the next hotel I was staying at. Highly recommended! Not close to train stations. However, you can take the bus to Mejiro Station. Get a Suica or Pasmo card.

Pros. Loved the beautiful garden, spa, and view! Will definitely be staying here again!
Pros. The hotel property itself is nothing short of beautiful. The rooms have great views of the city and the expansive garden which is a oasis in the middle of the sprawling Tokyo metropolis. The staff is always prompt and friendly and ready to accommodate anything you may need.
Pros. The hotel is beautifully appointed, with large rooms featuring marble bathrooms, mechanic curtains, exceptional service, and a stunning view of the gardens and pagoda. It seems that it is a wedding destination, with a storybook setting. For Tokyo, the price was a good value for the size of room and luxurious setting, the reason is the location isn't as central and train access isn't as readily available as many other luxury hotels. I was there for business travel, but this would be a suitable location for a romantic trip.
Cons. It didn't bother me to walk up the hill from the subway station. But, the ten minute walk from the subway is the only negative I can identify with this hotel.
Pros. It's a uniquely beautiful hotel. There is no other with such beautiful, serene and peaceful grounds. The staff are exceptionally gracious and hospitable. It is wonderful to come back here after a busy day in very busy Tokyo. It is a short walk to a very good, family owned sushi restaurant near Edogawabashi station.
Cons. The restaurants, while good, are very expensive. And there are not many options that are close. On the other hand, taxi service is convenient.
