Pros: There are many wonderful aspects of this hotel, starting with its location: next to Higashi Ginza subway station and 2 blocks from the Ginza station and of course, Ginza shopping and restaurants. Makes travel in Tokyo very easy. One subway stop from Tokyo station. In room coffee is amazing. Breakfast buffet is great. For Ginza, room size and accommodations are top notch. But the staff are what really shine here: absolutely wonderful, professional, friendly and extremely helpful. I can't wait to stay there again.

Cons: Used to be a business friendly hotel but not any more. One and only restaurant in the hotel.would not even allow guests to have drinks there in the morning without paying for a full breakfast buffet and my guests and had to find somewhere else outside the hotel for a meeting.

Pros: Love this hotel. Discreet, humble, very friendly and efficient service. Nice design. Good location. I've actually noted this time that rooms are very well sound-proofed. I'm used to stay at Aman Tokyo or Ritz Carlton, but I must say Capitol is for me a very good alternative, taking into consideration the standard rate. I always feel like "at home" there.

Cons: 2 points. I mainly ate outside the hotel, and didn't have my breakfast at Capitol either, however I must say the in-room dining was not spectacular. A caesar salad with shrimps and ham at the same time (haven't noticed on the menu to be honest), but that's a very strange choice. Burger was ok, but lacking a bit of "personality". Anyway, I survived. Second point, more importantly, and as I've been staying at Capitol in the 2 or 3 past years, I know this is the recurrent problem, often mentioned by customers: the smell when you enter the room (even the very first day) like an acidic smell of sweat. I don't know, maybe due to materials used (carpets, curtains, or whatever), but frankly speaking, I think it is a pity they haven't fixed it yet.

Pros: Loved the facilities and views of the room. The lobby started on the 25th floor with a view all the way to Mt Fuji and rooms are 26th floor and up. We got the triple and it had the best view. Large room too. Definitely would book again. Nothing too that much nearby but it’s a 12 min walk for us to get to Ginza.

Pros: - This location is gold. Close to both Shimbashi and Ginza station. The fish market is only 10 mins walk away and Ginza is literally at your doorstep. - The service is soooo good. I can’t praise the staff enough. They make out of their way to help you. - The view is amazing. The lobby is on the 16th floor and you can see the Tokyo tower and Mount Fuji from the window. And the view in the room is also very impressive.

Pros: I was only in Tokyo for two days. I have always wanted to see the City so I stayed as a long lay-over. I have traveled quite a bit and mostly stay at high end hotels. The room was amazing. It was large, clean and the bed was perfect. I think the one thing that stood out was the service. I mostly felt with the front desk manager Tetsuro Nakamura. Everyone at the hotel seemed to really appreciate their job and enjoy helping their guests.

Cons: Breakfast service was terrible. Every morning I had to ask for a coffee three times. In the bar, I was told, on two separate occasions, I couldn't sit by the window because it's reserved, when every seat was free and remained free for my entire time spent there. The TV in my room didn't work with the remote. Everything was so terribly overpriced. Food at breakfast bad. Eggs, in particular, rank. I was turned away from breakfast for wearing indoor shoes/slippers. Highly embarassing. Long queue for breakfast every morning. There was a big fuss about me not having a credit card, only a debit card with plenty of cash available. I wasn't allowed to charge anything to my room. In a budget hotel, these are the type of things you don't bat an eyelid at, but somewhere that says it's five stars shouldn't have these issues.

Cons: We arrived at 2:45 pm for check-in and apparently they hold the 3pm check in to the letter. We had to wait right up until 3:05 pm actually before we could check in. After arriving into Tokyo at 5 am we thought like most places that would let you up to your room a fraction earlier, but not here! That is my only criticism of the hotel.

The whole experience is quite interesting, as the hotel is basically a big complex of restaurants and shops. Cons: Attitude of General Manager of the Hotel was the worst I ever experienced from someone that should be a professional hotelier - lift door crashed twice on my wife causing her bodily harm (possible sensors did not work). the staff have been helpful to a certain extent but when confronted the General Manager of the Hotel on the incident he washed his hand claiming the lift doors are ok and literally blamed my wife to crash into the lift doors.

Pros: My November stay in Tokyo was switched from Okura Hotel to Sheraton Miyako Hotel, because Okura was demolished in May this year for a new hotel building to be reopened in 2018. So all the evaluations given here are for Miyako Hotel.
The hotel is excellent, very roomy and update. It offers all what a ordinary traveler needs and beyond. Its location is great right in the middle of several subway stations, only Meguro station and takaniwa station are within walking distance. But, scheduled hotel buses taking hotel guests to Meguro and Shinagawa station is an excellent way to help hotel guests move around.
Do your homework and find out what time the airport limousine bus can take you from airports to Miyako Hotel before you buy airline tickets. Because the bus schedule is very odd. I came to Miyako from Tokyo Haneda Airport, the airport limousine bus only runs twice in the morning and once in the late evening (Good for red eyed flight guests). If you come to the hotel any time between those schedules, you need to find out what is the nearest hotel or subway stations to Miyako the airport bus can take you to, then take taxi from there to Miyako.

Cons: very limited choice for a family to have a coffee or in the evening a drink. Child not allowed in bar ( unless we pay for private room) and reception lounge closes too early. Main restaurant closed at 10 ( lovely staff btw) and then nowhere for a night cap.

Cons: We stayed on reward points as ambassadors. We were treated appallingly. The room was average for the type of hotel we were staying in. The staff were quite standoffish, considering we had just come from Intercontinental Delete repeated word Bay where the service was outstanding and we could not fault a single thing it was a huge disappointment to be treated like this. When we went for dinner in the restaurant we were not even offered a drinks or wine list the whole meal and they forgot my meal altogether. When they cleaned the room they left dirty dishes behind. I never complain about anywhere that I stay but it was enough to taint my holiday. When we checked out they did not even ask us how the stay was. We are Platinum members.

Cons: The Bathroom in the Standard room is a little too small. Not many restaurants within the immediate vicinity, a 15 mins walk to nearby Roppongi or Mid Town can find more choices to eat. The Metro station was closed fro 5 days during our end of stay.

Cons: The shops inside the hotel were poor. It took 30 odd minutes to check in due to the queue. English tv channels were very limited and I couldn’t work out how to turn off the bed side lights without going to the mains switch by the room front door

1. Shower curtain was dirty and had hair on it from god know how many previous travelers!! I asked the manager to change it and they did not execute it well, they forgot! When I asked again they replaced it but only this time they put the shower curtain inside out...Japanese attitude is supposed to be all clean and perfect and this was definitely not it!
2. We were offered free breakfast due to the shower curtain situation which was a nice gesture, but honestly the breakfast was not so great
3. The room was really really small and the 3rd bed that we got was broken..
We paid like $250 a night or so and this was so not worth anything penny, will not recommend it anyone.

It's worth the extra 600 yen to not have to carry my luggage through the train stations from where the Keisei Line drops you off. And it's way cheaper than a cab.

Cons: Breakfast downstairs is quite pricey (about 2800 yen or so). Of course, it's not like you have to eat at the hotel. It's literally 4 doors down from a Tully's coffeeshop where you can have a decent breakfast and coffee for less than 700 yen.
