Pros: The room is very nice and modern. The front desk staff were very nice. The shampoo and conditioner they provide smell amazing. And the fitness center was very nice.
Cons: The glass shower in the middle of the room is just plain weird. There are not a lot of people I want to see shower. It just feels intimate in a very out-of-place kind of way. My friend and I went out for the evening and came back for an nightcap at the bar. Much to our disappointment, they did 'last call' early, so we missed out on a final drink. It feels like a new hotel needs to create some consistency if it hopes to catch on. The hotel seems very focused on the pool and making the 'pool scene' a thing. The cabanas, the artfully arranged pillows, the champagne buckets. It felt like they were trying too hard to woo locals, as opposed to cater to hotel guests. And there were a lot of staff standing around talking to each other whenever I was in the lobby or at the front desk. I often felt like I, as the guest, was interrupting their work. :)

Pros: The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were very clean. The staff were all pleasant, professional and very helpful. The hotel is in a great location. It's a very short walk to great restaurants, shopping and Petco Park. I would definately stay here again.
Cons: Parking at the hotel was very expensive ($47 per day). The rooms were a little small for the cost of them and it would have been nice if there was a mini-fridge in them. There is also no "sundries" store, so if you want a drink or a snack there is no where to get that. We also called for room service and no one answered the phone.

Pros: Facilities were very well kept. Room was very nice, and looked out over the Bay Area. Great location to GasLamp Quarter, restaurants, and connects to Petco Park. Great proximity to the convention center. Staff was accommodating. Concierge and valet staff were very knowledgeable on good places to eat/see in San Diego and other surrounding vicinities such as La Jolla, Coronado, etc. Also, got a little discount on zoo tickets by purchasing them at the hotel.
Cons: Valet parking is a little steep. They charge $40.00/day. I agree they should charge for the service as its quicker and easier for someone to park your car and bring it to you, but $40.00/day is a little high. On the upside, you can use it as much as you want.

Cons: As expedia costumer typically placed in one of the less favorable rooms (in this case above the pool bar, whci was used for evening and morning events with music) Pricey food and drink items in the hotel (e.g. bottled water 7$) One of the access paths for baseball games is through the hotel, hence before and after games the business center and gym are virtually unusable.

Cons: Too expensive for what you get plus we had maintenance problems with no apology from the hotel. When you're paying $380 a night this is unacceptable! There are other hotels within the same block, we will stay there next time and I suggest others do the same. Cons: When I woke up in the AM i noticed my iPhone was covered in dust. I then noticed the desk with my black laptop, across from the air conditioning vent was also covered in dust particles. This is a big deal for me because I have a dust mite allergy, but still have never seen this level of dust collect just overnight. I think the air filter vents in these rooms are very very dirty and just blow dust all night as Long as the AC is running. I was extremely congested all day due to my allergy and had a hard day networking at my convention. Also, the TV service this day and age is sub-poor. No guide and some of the channels didn't work "no signal".

So why did you even say that sh*t in the first place? Total droid. Also, downtown San Diego is a dreary place indeed. Homelessness abounds. Pros: The historic hotel was clean and the staff was courteous. Rooms were a fair size and had all the amenities that I would want in a luxury hotel. The lobby was comfortable for getting caught up on email (and had a great cup of coffee in the morning). As mentioned in the title, I have never had such a comfortable bed and wish I could take it home with me.
Cons: The hotel cannot control this, but the area is filled with homeless and panhandlers that made it uncomfortable to walk to the Gaslamp district or Midway museum (it's worse on 4th Street). Next time we will likely stay close to the waterfront where the problem seems to be lessened.

We asked to have our rate adjusted and were told that they had no responsibility as your site collected our money and paid them. Your statement about having the "BEST DEAL" was a total lie. I will never use your service again and I will warn everyone I know about your deception. We were overcharged about a $100.00 a day and stayed at the hotel for five nights YOU OWE US $500.00.

The location is convenient and walking distance to downtown restaurants and clubs and decor is quite modern. Our room had a decent view of some apartment high rises (I was expecting a view of an alley) considering I booked my room through Kayak.
Cons: There was no mini-bar and only one bottle of water. I treated my husband and I to a "staycation" to celebrate our wedding anniversary over the weekend in downtown. We were quite disappointed that there was no mini bar to start or end our celebration. Also the hotel is dog friendly, so guests beware that you may wake up to barking dogs at 630 am or earlier. Not fun to endure after having been out in downtown all night. We were given a room next to the vending machines. Yes,you get unlimited in-n-out privileges but for that price, I also expect a car wash and oil change to be included.

Cons: When we checked in we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a bay view for $20. However, when we checked out we were actually charged $30/night for a total of $60 (so $40 more than we were expecting). The view wasn't that great, but wasn't terrible. It was almost a $600 stay (with the upgrade) and it may seem silly, but we were on a super strict budget so $40 more actually was a challenge for us. Also, the room only went down to 65 degrees and our room was quite warm so that did make sleeping a challenge. Overall, a pretty decent experience but disappointed that the hotel itself overcharged.

Pros: Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton. I stayed in the Bay Tower. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing. My room had a great view of the bay and the balcony was large. The hotel is located closer to the airport, so you don't get a lot of street noise or foot traffic (which adds to the quiet/relaxed vibe of the hotel). The room was large/spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The room was very well decorated. The staff was very friendly and professional. Initially, I was placed in a room on the 2nd floor which is the lobby level, i.e. ground floor. When I got to the room, I didn't like the location, so I called guest services and requested a new room. They were more than accommodating, and moved me to a higher level.
Cons: The balcony furniture needs to be updated. I enjoyed the balcony, however, the furniture is cheap in comparison to everything else in the room. The resort fee seems unnecessary. I was charged a fee, but never told what was included with the fee. The price increases for higher floors (so my room change cost me more money per day). The rooms could be cleaner. As nice as the hotel was, the room needed to be dusted. There was dust everywhere (on the coffee maker, in the mini bar, on the lamps, and on the remote control). It appeared as if the room hadn't been used in a while.

Pros: Parking is $30, which seems to be the norm in California! The deposit required on the room was about 80 dollars more than the actual room called cost me. The staff seemed rude when I decided to pay this in cash rather than the normal credit card. The next day at checkout they took about 20 to 30 minutes to "check" my room and make sure I didn't take a ten dollar candy bar. Then finally paid me my cash deposit back in small bills so I felt like I was going to a strip club. Not to mention this is next to a Navy Base with constant helicopter traffic. As a combat veteran on an anniversary date of a brother's death the helicopters reinforced some horrible memories. The one pool we found was in good shape. Everything is super expensive there and they really like to charge you for any fee they can. I would not go back nor recommend it to anyone. I actually left a night early and forfeited my paid night because I didn't want to be there.

Then I was told that at due to construction, they didn't have my room and could send me to their sister location, the us grant (not my style). All of my friends, even the ones who checked in after me got their rooms, right next to each other. I was sent a block away with my reservation and a $70 increase in price for a room that didn't even have the requested layout and then wanted to charge me for Internet in my room. The hotel loomed nice but this experience was not acceptable. Think twice before booking.

I've stayed in tons of hotels and have never had a room so tiny. The shower looked cool in theory but in reality because there was no door, water leaked out onto the floor. The bathroom door, too- cool in theory, but if you value your privacy, it's not for you- it slides shut but doesn't actually close, so you won't have total privacy in there. Valet is $40 a night. Attached restaurant (Saltbox) had decent food but VERY slow service. Overall, not a bad place to stay, but we found that what we experienced definitely did NOT warrant the price tag that accompanies a stay at this hotel. Next time we visit, we will be staying elsewhere.

Pros: The Hotel Vyvant is a charming little boutique hotel very near to Little Italy. My stay was one night only. The young women at the desk when I arrived was friendly, welcoming, and professional. There was a bit of highway noise but I am reasonably sound sleeper and I have no problems with it.
Cons: Even though I'm pretty attentive to detail I somehow managed to miss that I would have a shared bathroom. The room rate of $105 was a good bargain with a bathroom, but without I would not have paid $60 for my room. I am not a "hotel person" and have few requirements, but a bathroom is one of them. My other gripe is that I was there for a business meeting and needed to be on my way before the complimentary breakfast was served starting at 8am That is simply too late for many guests. So for $105 I got a very small bedroom with a small TV and a sitting chair. There was no desk to work, and a shared bathroom and no breakfast.

Pros: Ok first we arrived at the hotel and parked right in front no problem. We went to check in and we're greater by a beautiful very friendly dark haired gal who checked us in and gave us instructions. She then escorted us to our room ! Showed us how the AC works and told us about breakfast. Our room was SO cute!! Actually this whole hotel was very cute I loved the vibe and decor. Everything was so so clean to! We had to share a bathroom which was no problem at all. One of the things I really loved about this place was that it did not feel like a hotel at all, in fact it felt like I was staying at a friends house or a bandb. It was excellant. I was already happy and then then next morning when my husband went to get breakfast and bring it back into the room I was SO impressed with it! Delicious orange juice, chobani yogurt and macadamia nut granola, assorted pastries and my favorite banana bread! I have never had a breakfast that delicious and fresh! Overall, location, staff, cleanliness, and vibe get a total 10 stars in my book!! ThE people were ALL so friendly! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone !

Pros: The staff is really friendly. The room was small, especially if you have a lot of luggage, but certainly manageable. Good value for the price. Like being in the Little Italy section of San Diego.
Cons: My room was facing Grape Street which is unfortunately very, very LOUD. Even through the double paned windows. I'm not sure there's a cheap solution. I didn't ask for earplugs at the desk, but maybe for the louder rooms, a pair or two could be situated in the bathroom.

Pros: My husband and I loved the Old World feel and how very friendly the staff is! We felt very welcomed and the breakfast was fantastic! We especially like how clean Hotel Vyvant is... This is not overlooked like it is at other hotels we've stayed at. Thanks to John and his staff, our stay in San Diego was super comfortable. This is one boutique hotel that knows how to treat people! We will definitely be back.

Pros: The staff at Hotel Vyvant were fantastic! They gave wonderful recommendations and were very accomodating. The hotel itself is very cute, clean and quaint. There are flatscreen teleisions in the room along with very nice (and new!) bathrobes. The location is within walking distance of Little Italy. There are some wonderful resturaunts there and a FABULOUS and fun wine bar (M Winehouse) that I highly recommend as well.

Pros: NOTHING! By far the worst hotel experience I've ever had.
Cons: Weeks in advance I pre paid for two non refundable rooms, which were guaranteed by Kayak. I arrived and they only had one room and they oversold the hotel. I let my parents take the one room and the girl at the front desk seriously told my wife and I to sleep in our car. They then fought to keep all the money for the room and made up a lie about offering me a room at another hotel. This never happened. "Casa de rental car" doesn't count as a hotel room - I've never been more angry or offended by a hotel in my entire life. Complete snake oil salesmen. Don't go here after you paid for two rooms weeks in advance if you plan on sleeping in them - only pay if you want to be seriously instructed that they're sorry, even though you paid for two rooms they do t have any more and you're welcome to sleep in your rental car - but still pay them! I plan on filing a claim with the BBB for their fraudulent actions, along with a dispute on my American Express and I'd love to know how kayak will handle this.

Cons: Valet service needs customer service training. We waited outside in our car when we arrived at the hotel and no one came. I went inside to locate a person in the valet section who was very relaxed and not very friendly. The pillows in the rooms are too small and uncomfortable. First night in our room a drunkard was knocking on our door after midnight. Next night girls were running up and down the hall at midnight. We were traveling with an 8 month old so we would not recommend the hotel to families with young children.

Pros: My boyfriend and I loved everything! The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious enough, the room service food was delicious. The internet never gave us any trouble. The pool was salt-water instead or chlorine and was a very comfortable temperature. The service from the employees was spot on, as well. We kept interacting with the same man at the front desk, and he was extremely helpful.
Cons: The one thing that I didn't like was the hot tub: the water was just a smidge too hot for my comfort, BUT I was able to adjust to it after a few minutes. That's more of a personal preference kind of thing, I know plenty of people probably like a hot tub to be exactly that temperature or even hotter, so it's not really a complaint.

Pros: The moment you walk in it smells so amazing like really clean and has a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and everything is so nice and modern. The room was a perfect amount of space for 4 and it had everything stocked. Parking is in a garage right next to the building and you feel very comfortable and safe. Cons: I paid extra for a king-sized room with a "bay-side view" but we were put on the second floor and the only thing outside of our window was the roof of the carport. We could hear the valets every single night and morning and could not see the bay from the second story. The website had a photo of a tall Wyndham with promising blue views but we were put in the 4 story part of the hotel with no view. Disappointing. Also, we came back one evening to sheets that had definitely not been clean as a stain from the night before was still in the sheets and sand was tucked in and made into the bed.

Very close to the train which provides easy transport to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. Close to many attractions. Convient to all the city opportunities. It worked out great for my baseball stay. Helpful concierge. Close to restaurants. I would stay there again.

The location was fairly convenient - right across from the street from bay, nice view, easy walk to Little Italy, Seaport Village, and a few ships across the street to tour. Hornblower was also close. There was a park right across the street with a splash pad and playground - great for kids. The staff was very nice an helpful. Pool was clean and enjoyable. It was very nice to have a balcony and get fresh air in the room. The deli downstairs was very convenient. As was having Ruths Christ which had great happy hours.
Cons: I know the facility was previously a Holiday Inn - so it's not the higher-end Wyndham you may think of. While the overall cleanliness of the property was great, be aware that there are 3 "towers" and you may be a short walk from the lobby. The overall property is not all fenced off, but the hotel does have safety features. The outside isn't that wonderful, but it's do-able.

Cons: When we arrived the valet and self parking was full. The hotel would take no more cars. We were forced to leave and come back several hours later. When we returned parking was still full. When we finally checked the hotel was over booked and our room (which was already paid) was no longer available. After an hour of speaking with management we were given a small parlor room with three roll-a-ways. Beds were very uncomfortable. The experience was horrible. And the only thing the hotel provided us for our inconvenience was a comp breakfast. Nothing additional, no discount or credit. I would never recommend this hotel.
