Great trip to San Diego to run a half marathon. The Sheraton was the best place to stay. I was first given a room by the family oriented pool, which was noisy. I asked to be moved and that was done right away. The setting is great and the hotel was recently updated. Good weekend stay.

The check-in process took a ridiculously long time. The restaurant food was acceptable. However, when we went there to order food to-go, the person at the front told us to ask the bartender, yet the bar was jam-packed. I don't know why he couldn't have taken our order straight away. Location was great, nice amenities, yoga, gym, pool. We were at the Lannia -area— the room was old, smelled of chlorine, sliding door was heavy kept coming off track, the bed was comfy but the Pillows were awful absolutely no support. The $41 per night for parking is almost a dealbreaker.

Pros (+) Friendly staff. Centrally located to what I needed to do. It’s a close drive to downtown and Point Loma.
Cons (-) The cleanliness could have been better in my room. There was little pieces of trash on the floor. Due to COVID-19, I wipe down all surfaces so I noticed more dirt.
