COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated visitors from South Africa must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departing to Armenia.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions
Unvaccinated travelers should have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. Travelers who arrive without a negative COVID-19 test are required to take a COVID-19 test on arrival and quarantine until they receive their results. The certificate should be in Armenian, Russian, or English printed on the official letterhead. This requirement does not apply to travelers who are fully vaccinated and able to provide documentation of vaccination against COVID-19 at least 14 days before arrival and travelers under the age of 1 (0-11 months 29 days).
Quarantine requirements

Visitors from South Africa are not required to quarantine after entering Armenia.

Travelers arriving without a negative COVID-19 test or who demonstrate symptoms of COVID-19 are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test at their own expense and quarantine until they receive the results.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Travellers returning from Armenia must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departure to South Africa.

Details and exceptions
traveler with no proof of a negative COVID-19 test result will be required to do an antigen test on arrival at his or her own cost and if positive for COVID-19, he or she will be required to isolate at their own cost, for a period of 10 days.
Children under the age of 5 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors returning from Armenia are not required to quarantine upon entering South Africa.

Details and exceptions
Travelers who display any COVID-19–related symptoms must be tested on arrival. In the event that the result of the COVID-19 test is positive, they will be required to quarantine for 10 days. The cost of testing and quarantine will be on the travelers' expense.
