Cons:They tried to blame me for damage that was on the car when I picked it up. Good thing I always take pictures!
Cons:My credit card covered rental insurance fully and Europcar asked for an email from my bank/credit card company before giving me the car. I had to call my credit card provider and have them send an email to Europcar. Pretty damn ridiculous. All told, I wasted three hours getting all this sorted, and even after I finally got them what they needed, they put a EURO 5,000 authorization charge on my account, an obscene amount for a one-week rental. Also: There's a 25 EURO airport surcharge that I was never made aware of, and a 35 EURO charge to travel into Northern Ireland, which I also wasn't made aware of until the time of payment. I recommend you book elsewhere, because a Google search tells me that not all car rental companies charge for traveling into Northern Ireland.
Pros:The car was grey.
Cons:Upon arrival in Dublin we were shuttled to an outside airport location. The quoted vehicle was not available, altho we had reserved it several months ahead. In fact they said Dublin NEVER carries that model (a 9 passenger van). So we were given a smaller (7 pax) vehicle which was way too small for our 6 adults to enjoy for a week. The quoted price was 1/4 of what they ended up charging. We had insurance but they would not accept it and required we pay the Europcar offered policy. We have rented in many other countries without all the insurance demands. We would never have booked with them if the initial quote had been correct as other vendors had just what we wanted. Europcar is a real RIPOFF.
Pros:Agent at airport was very helpful.
Cons:Insurance charges should be stated more clearly when booking. Insurance was nearly three times the price of the car. Car smelled like someone had been smoking in it.
Pros:I. Didn't like anything.
Cons:The booking made on kayak did not include any basic insurance, absolutely nothing, which is illegal. That's why kayak gave me low price. So when i arrived to the airport i was told that i didn't have any insurance. So they cancelled the booking and offered me a car for the same price but with insurance. I will never ever again use kayak and i will strongly recommend never to use it.
Pros:Small but fun car for cruising around Ireland. Great gas mileage with diesel and manual shift was crucial for backroads.
Cons:I told them no coverage but they wouldn’t really take no for an answer and it doubled the cost so really paid WAY too much.
Pros:Efficient service for pick-up and drop-off.
Cons:The outline of the total costs were WAAAAAAAAY off. Will not be using the service again due to this. Gouged us for our trip.
8,4 Very Good
Pros:Nice staff, didn't pressure upsell the insurance like I was worried about. Drop off in the city center was not as easy as expected, due to the lack of parking instructions. Value was outstanding.
Cons:Need to provide clear instructions that if you are dropping off at the lower Drumconda location, there are no parking spots in front of the office. You need to pull into a bus lane and park there, which isn't ideal, but workable.
Pros:Car well maintained
Cons:Not being requested for a credit card hold of €22.000 if no basic insurance of €22 a day was acquired.
Cons:They try to rip you off on extra insurance. Concerned they’ve charged us extra. Have to keep an eye on what they actually charged. They did put a 5000€ hold on the card because we declined their insurance.
Pros:Staff when doing the paperwork to pick-up the car more helpful & friendly. Staff at the actual car pickup lot less helpful & one a bit dismissive when you asked questions. Staff when dropping off the car a bit unfriendly & seemed a bit irritable.
Cons:If you are going to Ireland, do your homework about what your personal auto insurance will cover (call them & let them know where you are going) & also call your credit card company to see if they have primary or secondary insurance when renting the car because many credit card companies don't there
Pros:The staff were wonderful and very helpful.
Cons:We had difficulting finding the drop off location when we wanted to return the car. Once we made it to the return location we were told the directions were located in the love compartment. We wish someone had emphasized this when we were picking up the car.
Pros:The staff was sooooo nice and friendly! They made the process smooth and easy and answered all my questions.
Cons:Sorry car too small for me and getting stung with extra insurance, over twice as much as the car rental.
Pros:I didn't get insurance.. broke a mirror and they added insurance after the fact. Changed a near 3000 euro bill into a $250 euro deductible plus daily insurance fees.
Cons:Gasoline is so expensive due to liters.. not on website.. not close to advertised price
Pros:Best customer service I've experienced in a long time. Went out of their way to make sure our trip was a success and the staff was very friendly.
Pros:The staff was responsive to my needs and very helpful. Make sure you consider insurance and GPS needs prior to arriving. You should get both if you don't have adequate coverage from your personal insurance company...or have a GPS option. Also, do not get a manual shift. It's challenging enough to drive with an automatic. It is preferred to get a diesel vehicle as 70% of the cars in Ireland are diesel. The roads are narrow...get a "small" car!! Over all it was a positive experience and I will use Enterprise again when in Dublin.
Cons:Transfer from the airport to the car lot is confusing. Make sure to clarify how to get transported to the car lot.
Pros:Drop off was quick
Pros:Our receptionist was great! Super friendly and got us off swiftly!
