Featuring fresh seafood and the famous fishing-throwing employees, Pike Place Market is one of the most popular attractions in Washington. Visitors can choose from a variety of trendy boutique hotels, luxury stays, and basic accommodations in the area. Thompson Seattle is located right across the street from Pike Place Market and offers a rooftop bar with uninterrupted views of Elliot Bay Waterfront. The Oxford at Pike Place Market and The Charter Hotel Seattle, Curio Collection by Hilton are also within walking distance of the market and offer slightly lower rates.

Olympic National Park is huge and cannot be fully explored in one trip. It’s important to choose a specific area and then pick a hotel. Nestled beneath firs on Lake Quinault’s southern shore, Lake Quinault Lodge dates back to 1926 and is a jumping-off point for exploring family-friendly trails in the area. However, Port Angeles is the most popular place to stay due to the variety of accommodations and amenities. Olympic Lodge by Ayres and Port Angeles Inn are both good options. Keep in mind that there are many private houses for rent in the area, too.

Although the coastline is rugged and the waves wild, Washington is home to many quaint coastal towns with romantic accommodations. Ocean Shores, Westport, and Langley all offer stunning views of the ocean, but Seabrook is a cut above the rest. Situated on a bluff overlooking the waves, this tiny town has hidden beaches, inviting coffee shops, and cozy accommodations. Ocean Crest Resort is located up the coast and offers a hot tub, sauna, and pool as well as ocean view suites with kitchens, fireplaces, and balconies. Moonstone Beach Motel is another good choice.

Walla Walla Valley, Yakima Valley, and the Tri-cities area make up Washington’s wine country. With over 200 wineries, the Tri-cities area is an ideal destination for wine lovers. The Lodge at Columbia Point offers spacious rooms, river views, and is near several vineyards. Experience small-town life and inspired dining in Walla Walla Valley when you stay at The Finch or The Wesley Walla Walla. Yakima Valley is home to over 100 vineyards and offers upscale, country-style accommodations. We recommend staying at a private home for rent or at Ledgestone Hotel.
