7,7 Good
Pros: Very clean, nice room. Low cost for a suite.
Cons: The bed and bedding was pretty uncomfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The price for the size of suite we got was very good. It's like a mini apartment, I def. could live there for a few weeks no problem.
Cons: Lots of freeway noise where we were located.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: The spacious hallways and the fact you have a small usuable kitchen.
Cons: The lighting in the rooms is very poor and harsh. They need to update to newer led lights
8,0 Excellent
Pros: convenient that it had a kitchenette separate bedroom and a guest roll out bed for my son
Cons: check in process due to snow conditions we arrived after 12:30am and no one was at front desk, security guard had to use his key because ours was not programmed even tough we reserved , no one on site just him. Couldn't go out to vehicle since we didn't have a key that worked to come back to the room without having to bug the guard .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds in a modern comfortable apartment. So much nicer than a hotel, as long as you’re not married to daily room cleaning or breakfast.
Cons: I live this place. No complaints. Been going there for years.

Pros: As a frequent female solo traveler, I like that it is a very safe place.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Quiet. Friendly staff. Great evening hospitality food and drink. Great hot breakfast. Hey
5,0 Okay
Cons: The pictures are not an accurate depiction of the suites. they are in desperate need of a refresh and there are no sliding doors that section off the "living area" of the suite from the bedroom as depicted. there are no exhaust fans in the bathroom! fine if you are not sharing a room and can keep the door open when you shower, but not so much otherwise. the pull out couch was super uncomfortable. it also sits right up against a very busy highway in front, and while the back does face the river, it is also up against the public path where we saw not 1, not 2, but 3 homeless people hanging out on the hotel grounds. also, the non smoking room very much have the smell of cigarette smoke, i'm sure from people smoking on the balcony of the room we were in and the rooms around us - there were 2 rooms next to ours that had cigarette butts out on their balcony & we had to close our sliders when the person in the room below us stepped out to smoke on his. very old and run down and just not a nice experience, definitely a lower tier budget hotel. i guess this is fine for an overnight if you are just passing through, but even then i wouldn't choose this place again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: plenty of choices on the buffet
Cons: bed was too soft
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our romantic stay! every thing was wonderful!
7,7 Good
Cons: The walls were thin. Our neighbors were pretty loud for most of the night, and made it difficult to sleep.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Family enjoyed the pool.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Courteous staff, comfortable, clean room that was up-to-date and with no major renovation issues. I appreciated the bar drink coupons, and the in-house restaurant was very good. The view on the river was outstanding.
Cons: Once used, tea and coffee in the room should be replaced. Bathroom doors are a bit worn and the tile floor should be repaired as cracks appear, it offsets the overall quality of the room. For a stay of 3 days, I was given 2 drink coupons. This is a great added value, but why not one for each day of the stay?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to the freeway, ease of access, expediency of registering, comfortable room, amenities and pricing.
Cons: Nothing!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: * Great location *very nice evening cocktail hour *very good breakfast in the am *overall a nice experience3 for the money
4,8 Okay
Pros: Staff was nice.
Cons: Our last night of a 7 day road trip from Oklahoma City, OK to Oak Harbor, WA with me, my husband, a 1 year old and a dog. Hotel was littered with teens, people above us blared music and sounded like they were wrestling all night. Had to make 2 complaint on them, woke my 1 year old up during the night, also had tobang on the ceiling to get them to stop. Then in the morning woke up took a shower, bathroom had no vent to turn on so the smoke alarm went off. When we packed up to leave we see that someone has cut 2 of our straps for our roof rack (brand new just bought for the move). Finally when we talked to the front desk one last time they can't comp anything since we bought through kayak/expedia. Now to top everything off this happened on veterans day. I am an active duty military member and we are moving from overseas Japan to Washington. What a way to feel welcomed back.

7,0 Good
Pros: The room was large and comfortable, except for issues noted below. Great bed, soft but supportive; very comfortable pillows, lots of room, extra sitting space was nice. Breakfast had lots of options (yogurt, cereal, waffles, eggs, meat, breads and pastries, juices, etc). Location was convenient to walking path, shopping, freeway.
Cons: The room was really hot and stuffy, making sleep challenging. I ended up using the A-C to cool it down in the night and get some airflow (this was December and it was below freezing outside). We could not block out all the exterior lights outside the window; curtains were insufficient to make the room dark.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Totally worth it for the price I paid for. Room was really clean and quite nice. Couldn't ask for more. And free breakfast was an additional bonus.

4,0 Okay
Pros: The location was great. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and so were the breakfast staff.
Cons: We had to search around and holler for someone to help us when we checked in, the lady was outside. The elevator was broke for half of our stay and only one worked at all. The door to the parking was propped open so anyone can get in, you don’t need a key for that entry or the elevators. There is a place for your key to get on the elevators but they are broken. The bathroom is partly remodeled but the work is only partly done and looks horrible. The grout is disgusting. The front desk people were dismissive when I tried to talk to them about the broken elevators.
10,0 Excellent

Cons: No, it was all good
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We have been to A LOT of hotels and this one went way above our expectations. I would even go as far as saying it was one of the best! It was clean and beautifully decorated. They really pay attention to details. The breakfast options were amazing! They had almond milk, Nutella, V8, and so many different toppings for waffles and pancakes. Oh and let's not forget the fresh oatmeal, biscuits and gravy. Peter, the breakfast staff, kept the dining area clean and well stocked. We even saw him wiping down the chair and table legs! Our room was huge!

Pros: I love the friendly staff, quick check-in and check-out, simple breakfast, but mostly the room overlooking the Yakima River. After a long day of driving and hectic schedule of meetings, it's great to come back, throw open the shades, and see the river flowing right outside the window. If the weather is warm, you can open the sliding glass door and enjoy it even more.
Cons: Adding eggs and bacon to the breakfast line-up would be helpful for people eating low-carb. :)
7,7 Good
Pros: Convenience. Clean rooms overlooking the river.
Cons: Breakfast varies and can sometimes be horrible.
6,8 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean.
Cons: An elevator was unavailable due to a malfunction and three ice machines were also out of order.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Oxford Inn never disappoints. They offer a lot of value for the dollar. Friendly and professional front desk staff make check-in and check-out easy. Really tasty family style Mexican restaurant next door is great. Free breakfasts in the hotel are better than average. Rooms are clean, comfortable and very quiet with views overlooking the Yakima River right outside the sliding glass doors.

Pros: Location
Cons: The restaraunt waa terrible. Stone Cold nachos and cold fish tacos to cook should be fired
5,0 Okay
Pros: The food in the restaurant was good. The price was ok. It was clean. We would recommend the hotel as a clean place to stay. We would not recommend it as a luxury hotel.
Cons: The decor for a newly renovated hotel was not impressive. It seemed pretty stark, more like a 2 star hotel. There were no vent fans in the bathrooms and the steam from the shower made the fire alarm go off in two of the three rooms our family was in.
4,8 Okay
Pros: Good location and clean.
Cons: Poor customer service, made mistakes and still not corrected.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was there and the restaurant was awesome
Cons: Nothing they were doing alterations and a couple of areas were closed but nothing anyone could do about it

Pros: The breakfast was fantastic! Loved having a real breakfast included and not just a continental breakfast. Also, the beds and pillows were so so comfortable!
5,4 Okay
Pros: The place seemed clean and they had secure parking.
Cons: The area around the hotel was a bit sketchy. They had a police raid going on across the street that lasted most of the night. Our group has come many years in a row for the Cruising the ave night but they canceled it this year. No fault of the hotel but that is why we came out to visit Yakima.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast room really offered a nice spread with variety
Cons: No
4,0 Okay
Pros: My husband likes the fact that you can walk out to the parking lot from the room to smoke. There isn't much I like at all except the price.
Cons: Tub has black around the drain and in a couple other places. Shower head was a real water saver and barely got you wet. Bathroom smelled of urine. The one chair was old and low to the ground so was not comfortable at all.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good size refrigerator. Like the sink outside of the bathroom. The plug ins on the lamps are a great idea.
Cons: Could hear the person in the room next door snoring. Hard to keep the room warm, but considering it was an outside room and was very cold, we managed fine.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice location shopping and foid close by
Cons: Staff parked n customers parking both nights we were there.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious for 1 person. Was a pretty standard room with a mini fridge and coffee machine. They were pretty accommodating when I needed forks or plates.
Cons: The area by the bathroom was really really cold. The heat didn't get to that area very well so it was freezing in the bathroom. Also my door was hard to close. When I would leave my room I had to turn the the handle inside the rooms a few times or the door would remain open and not lock.

4,3 Okay
Pros: Relatively inexpensive.
Cons: Worn out, dated, mildewy kind of a smell in the room and halls, meal offerings unappetizing (though free - you get what you pay for).
3,7 Mediocre
Cons: Entire hotel was very dirty and poorly lit. The door to my room had been bashed in recently I take it since the trim was completely broken and lock had been screwed back together. Capet was stained and ruffled up as well as the subfloor being rotted away and creeking. Stains on the chair and bed as well. All furniture was scathed and scuffed, looked like it was bought at a yard sale.
4,8 Okay
Pros: Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. There wasn't anything bad about this hotel for the most part.
Cons: The price was rediculous for what you got. The place was incredibly dated with peeling wallpaper and our toilet was not secured to the floor (scary). We could not get wifi service in our room and needed it to complete a bunch of work. Had to go to the lobby to find it. Looks like they are planning on a remodel which is sorely needed although we will most likely not stay here again.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were eager to accommodate and quick to respond. The swimming pool was clean and ready to go. The room was beautifully cared for and everything worked. Breakfast was hot and tasty; good variety.
6,0 Good
Pros: Front check in went smoothly, and server refilling breakfast was friendly and bustling to keep a lot of people fed. I was at the back of the property so it was quiet, considering there is construction on the street directly in front.
Cons: Homeless woman lingering at the side hotel door asking for money as I entered. After check in, I retrieved my bag and three homeless men walked directly behind my car, making cat calls. Very uncomfortable. It was fine once inside the property.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I love that they had an amazing breakfast and the lady’s that were staff were friendly and gave a smile and that truly means a lot!
Cons: The street was a little scary! But i like that they have cameras in the parking lot!

4,0 Okay
Pros: Not much. Once we got the process of checking in started the staff person made an extra effort to make sure our two rooms were close to each other.
Cons: No staff at desk when we arrived for check in. Waited quite some time. Many homeless persons loitering by entrance door. Several came into the kitchen and loaded up on food. Staff were not very friendly. the location was not so good.
7,0 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: Breakfast, the eggs were cold, the hash browns were cold and hard, the batter to the waffles was to dry. Overall, breakfast was no good.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Because we couldn’t receive WiFi service and were asking for assistance to help with connection in our room all day we were told to leave the property at 1030pm because they felt they couldn’t satisfy our stay so leaving me with no choice but to drive 2plus hours away to go home when I planned on leaving the next morning
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: It was terrible for the price...
Cons: Paid too much for the room..
6,0 Good
Pros: The buffet breakfast was good, the location was nice and in a nice part of town. They also had a live band that guests can see for free.
Cons: I have bronchitis and it took an hour to get the chemical smell out of the room. I had a coughing attack the moment we entered. After the air cleared it was tolerable.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Location.
Cons: The hotel smelled like smoke. While clean, the complex needs updating. The room temperature was difficult to regulate. The pictures online felt deceiving. The beds were very uncomfortable and old. They sunk in the middle. Not a good experience overall.
6,0 Good
Pros: The price
Cons: Had to pay for breakfast and was not impressed.
1,0 Poor
Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: There was no hot water. Hotel was old and outdated. The restaurant and bar were closed for the week and only available on the weekend. The front desk staff were very rude and did not seem to care if we were happy or not. This is not a three star hotel.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed there because they let us park our car there for a week and took us to the airport. Not many hotels in that price range offer that service.
Cons: Its an older facility, but the room seem updated. My only complaint was we waited 30 minutes from the time we called to the time they got to the airport. Its 10 minutes away max! They did charge us $30 for 6 days of parking during off season. Hotel next to Seatac lets you park there a week for free if you stay one night for comparison. :)
5,0 Okay
Pros: The customer service was good, and they had free parking.
Cons: The hotel was very outdated. It did not feel like a three story hotel or as nice as the other possible "secret hotel" options. Parts of the room were sticky. Wouldn't stay here again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great and it was nice that for a price we could have a couple of friends join us.
Cons: Maybe another chair in the room.
6,3 Good
Pros: Easy access to the room
Cons: Bad neighborhood and a drug deal went down outside our room this morning. Sketchy area and didn’t feel safe.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The property was well taken care of and clean . Our room was especially quiet.
Cons: Some of the doors to nagaviate the property did not work with the keys.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The hot tub
Cons: I didn't like the homeless all over the street

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Was put on 2nd floor and asked to make sure an elevator was available...was told yes...no elevator in the building we were in
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. The front desk friendly
Cons: They need new pillows they were gross and flat, and better towels
4,0 Okay
Pros: It was a standard ordinary room. Nothing special.
Cons: The staff seemed bored. I was given a first floor room as far away from the lobby and there was nowhere I could park my car that was close. The breakfast was ordinary and all the tables were full.
7,0 Good
Cons: Uncomfortable mattress
4,6 Okay
Pros: The location near the freeway and near downtown is a real plus, but it’s in a rundown part of town.
Cons: The bathroom was TINY- a bathtub/shower with a curtain. Although the room (two queens) was fairly large, my bed was pretty soft and the two pillows were the smallest I’ve ever seen. Outside there was a large pool, but it had been drained. The entire facility is antiquated- rugs are old, paint is chipped, and the decor looks to be from the 1960’s. The continental breakfast is adequate, but the hot portion includes just scrambled eggs and mushy hash browns -no meat. It is clear that this property has been neglected for quite some time.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: View out the windows, pool, quietness
Cons: Everything plugged into one outlet strip. You had to turn off the tv coffee pot or you tripped the breaker when you started the microwave. Even with that if the refrigerator cycled on it tripped The sheets and bed liners do not fit the beds. Vary anoyin
7,0 Good
Pros: The breakfast could use a meat, like sausage or bacon with the scrambled eggs.
Cons: Not your fault. I will talk to the board on the CRC maybe we can have the bar moved to one of the rooms. It was just to tight. I only had one drink because it was way to long of time to buy another one. You lost a a lot of money with that many people in there. You could have sold a lot more alcohol for sure.
6,0 Good
Pros: The rooms were very clean.
Cons: The property is old. The room furnishings are sparse and worn. The carpet disgusting.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: location
Cons: older
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful! All the staff were cheerful and kind! Great experience and would definitely return! Thank you!
Cons: No!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is very close to the interstate and downtown Yakima. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The continental breakfast was disappointing. There was a very limited selection and there was no breakfast meat at all. We ended up going out to breakfast after the continental breakfast at the hotel
5,0 Okay
Pros: staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Not truly ADA compliant, hard to move around the room in a wheelchair. No auto door openers on side entrances. Hard to move wheelchair in and out of bathroom.

Overview Reviews
Motel 6 Yakima Downtown is in the heart of Downtown Yakima. This location is nearby restaurants. Enjoy complimentary coffee in the morning. We are 2 miles from the Yakima Arboretum.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to relax and disconnect from fast paced environment.
Cons: No cellular phone signal in house, but was able to use free WiFi to make and receive calls.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has recently been refurbished, with new beds, flat screen TV, etc. The experience was much better than what you might expect from a typical Motel 6
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: Good location.
Cons: It wasn't until upon arrival that I learned the company changed ownership and the "complimentary breakfast" was no longer... As we were there for my son's basketball tourney I would have booked elsewhere and or planned breakfast items to bring.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: This location is being entirely remodeled and our room was like new ( there was no construction noise but it was also a weekend ) the shower had yet to be replaced bit it was clean with new curtains, paint, toilet, sink, couters, fridge, microwave, flat screen and wood look linoleum floors
Cons: The only complaint was the occupants above us, we could hear everything and they were up walking around and going in and out litterally all night.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything in the room worked as it should. There was a refrigerator and a microwave. The room was clean.
Cons: On Friday, I asked for no service, but they did come in on Saturday.
2,5 Mediocre
Cons: WORST Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. The bathroom did not appear to be cleaned at all prior to my arrival. I counted at least 9 head and body hairs in the shower. I had to clean the shower myself before using it in the morning. There was a used and dirty toilet plunger with bits of debris still stuck to it in the corner of the room. When I told the staff about it in the morning, they completely blew me off and started talking to their friend while I was still standing at the desk. So disrespectful, so gross, I would rather sleep in my car than stay here again.
6,3 Good
Pros: Wasn’t your typical Motel 6. Didn’t feel like a prison cell. Felt a little more upscale than motel 6 of the past. For a cheap alternative to $100+ hotels, it was decent. Room was clean and everything worked fine.
Cons: Hardly any amenties. Key cards only worked half the time. Staff didn’t even make eye contact with me even though they acknowledged me. The office was clean but very barren beyond a tv and the check in desk. Phones in the room looked like hold overs from the previous ownership. No guest books in the room. No 24 hr staffing that i could see.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and quiet
Cons: No coffee maker and chairs in room
7,5 Good
Cons: Two lamps in the room were not working, the microwave/oven seemed unsafe to use, the airconditioning could not be adjusted in a good way.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff! My customer experience was awesome and whatever issues I had were resolved in an expedient manner from housekeeping to maintenance to management. Thank you Motel 6 you ALWAYS take such good care of me!
Cons: I can't think of one thing!
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The maids where very nice and helpful, front desk agent not so much :( she was more interested in the new owners then the guests. if I had known that they where going through a change, I would not have picked it...
Cons: I picked this hotel for the free breakfast, which they did not have because they where changing owners. I feel that I should get a partial reimbursement for not getting the free breakfast!! I was on my Honeymoon :(
5,0 Okay
Pros: They didn't mind my dog and I didn't have to pay extra.
Cons: The bed felt like they forgot the mattress, so you only got the box springs. The bath tub was unusable. There is no coffee maker.

10,0 Excellent
