Pros: Luxury hotel with very nice staff. All the staff there are very nice and with good attitude. Room is spacious, neat and tidy. ~5mins walk to the metro station. Taking Uber to attractions aren't far away as well.
Special thanks to Olivia, Guest Relations Manager, she helped to make a very memorable celebration.
Will definitely consider it if heading back to Taipei again.

Pros: I felt that this hotel was very clean and paid attention to detail concerning Viruses that are going around. They used a thermometer as we checked in. Although there wasn’t early checkin the hotel held our luggage until we could get into our room. The staff frequently cleaned the public areas. When we had issues with the room, the staff was prompt to fix the issue and take care of our concerns. The staff helped to book taxi’s and make reservations for dinner/ lunch. They had a candy cart for children and although we did not utilize the other activities or events there was a lot for children to do at the hotel. FYI you need a 2 day notice for childcare which would be nice to have listed on the website. With our upgraded room, we had the breakfast buffet. It consisted of Asian and WESTERN cuisine. There was an omelet counter , fruit and salad bar, and a baked goods counter that was more of an American style breakfast.

Cons: My room was next to the elevators, some weird noise was made all the time, not so loud tho.
The exterior is a bit old, I was a bit deterred due to this reason before booking.

Pros: This is a very elegant hotel with a wonderful layout. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and very clean, with spacious bathrooms and a very comfortable bed. The staff were incredible. They all displayed high quality customer service and were extremely helpful, from getting us taxis to helping us find local places to eat as well as suggestions of where to go to see things in Taipei. The breakfast was very well organized and had a mix of western and Chinese food. One of the Manager's Johnny was very kind and respectful and always made sure that we were happy. The whole stay was amazing and would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Taipei. For the service and amenities this hotel offered I believe this was an excellent deal in terms of cost. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

Pros: An old dame that's aging well. While the hotel can't compete with its newer 5-star counterparts, it really holds its own, and has been beautifully renovated over the years. Nothing shouts fancy of extravagant, but the hotel offers some tiny little thoughtful touches not seen at other hotels. What to do with the leftover soap? Why not bring it home? A tiny little plastic bag is provided for just this reason. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and courteous. And for those who choose not to dine at the hotel's restaurants, there are plenty of places to eat nearby to suit all budgets, including a large number of convenience stores.

Cons: Not all rooms have been renovated. I stayed in a smaller room that was facing the main road (very recently renovated) and a larger one facing the park in the back (older, with carpets that could use a deep-clean).

Pros: Amazing location and ambiance. They had a huge screen and camera system that recorded your temperature as you entered. Sanitizer stations everywhere and even had my temperature checked again at check-in. The views from my room were really cool. Especially from the huge window in the tub. Everything was spotless and beyond what I expected. The staff was kind and made my stay very enjoyable. I can’t wait to return.

The hotel is located right in the centre, connected to Y underground path so it was so easy for us to explore the city from the hotel. All the staff who responded my emails before arrival were polite and professional.

Pros: Staff service from the front desk, dinning, cleaning and customer service all great, nice staff, thumbs up My room with a balcony, make it brighter and flesh air in the room. Filled up all the stationary, mini bar, bathroom supplies, coffee and tea bags, clean up my place twice a day, print out my boarding passes and small gift at the check out time. Good breakfast, nice lunch and dinner. The best part is the dessert sections, match the French standard. I am lucky travel to France for the past 15 years, dessert is the part me and wife enjoy a lot (beside shopping $$). So far, dessert is the best I ever had in Taipei. Location is also the reason why I picked this hotel again, next to the main train station and subway stations, you can go anywhere by using public transit systems by bus, subway and trains. The shopping mall service a lot of tourist request, even have an foreign exchange center there, rate is better than the airport plus it work till the end of the shopping mall hour. Across the street will be local Taiwanese food, all the thing famous in Taiwan like 95% food choices are there, price is good deal.

Cons: The interior decoration is a little bit dark, also the bathroom layout is hard for elderly person to step in the tall bath tub plus is kind of open concept (may be romantic for someone), not my personal comfort zone. As a whole, the whole hotel design is on the dark side. My personal preference is bright, too bad could not do much about it.

Cons: No sound-proof at all, I could hear the snoring sound from next room; at the end, the hotel staff first said she would ask the guest next door to be quiet (how ridiculous!) and of course she failed so finally she changed another room for me; it wasted me a lot of time. Reception staff service is very poor. TV is locked and I need to press a button on the remote control called "e-butler" to unlock it, which doesn't make sense.

Cons: I was given a smoking room (RM 1005) while I booked a non-smoking room. The smoke smell was so strong that even the bathroom towels and the carpet were full of cigarette smell. The staffs were helpful enough to install a air freshener machine in our room responsively. But the smell did not go away for at least the first two days. I am then wondering why the room cleaner didn’t notice the smell when she cleaned up the room before we moved in. I saw the sign inside the room that the tenant who violated the smoking rule would be penalised. Was he penalised or was the incident escalated to management? The hotel management could improve a bit on that front. Thanks.

Cons: The choices on your site should be more descriptive of the different kinds of room to be availed by your guest. We expected the room to have own toilet but to our dismay, it's a dormitory type without own bathroom and comfort room so we have to upgrade. Thanks to your front desk personnel, Mr. Smith. We were able to move in another room with dedicated comfort room. However, there should be a cabinet installed in all your rooms for your guest's clothes instead of having them placed elsewhere or inside their luggage. Thank you very much for having our comments!

Cons: I was on the 8th floor and there was a stale odor in the hallway. The electric toilet didn't work and the shower door leaked water on the bathroom floor. As for their breakfast buffet, while the service was great, the breakfast was disappointingly mediocre at best. They could have easily improved the quality, for example, if you're serving bagels and lockes, please have cream cheese available... and of course some sliced cucumber, tomatoes, and capers will be nice too.

Cons: Our shower was clogged and they were trying to fix it on the spot for a long time before they gave us a new room. We had lots of plans that day so we wasted a little too much time waiting for the problem to be dealt with. They were really nice about it, but I’d rather have had them change our room and then go about trying to fix the problem instead of vise versa.

Will reconsider staying here again or trying a new place. A bit of a pity.

Cons: The room had some flaws, e.g. a cigarette burn in a chair, a hole in the floor, scuff marks on the furniture, a dingy-looking bathtub mat, etc. Everything's functional, but the appearance leaves a bit to be desired. I'd say it's pushing it to call this a 4-star hotel. Maybe more like 3-stars.

Pros: The cleaning staff was coughing and sneezing in our room for the last 2 days when cleaning our room. We informed the front desk, they imediately took action to check on the clesaning staff, sanitize our room twice and offerred to change our room for us. They assured us the cleaning staff is fine too. The hotel constantly santized the area and checked the tempature of all visitors and staff. They also provided sanitizer for all visitors. We felt safe and assured.

Cons: Went out in the morning, returned back to room at 5pm. Once opened room door was shocked that room was still not cleaned up. Called the Reception they said will check with housekeeping but could not provide reason why. A few minutes later some one knock on the door. Housekeeping Supervisor and staff standing outside asking to clean room. We told them to come back at 5.30pm as we need to take a rest. Asked what happened why our room not cleaned. The reply was staff is new and work slower and probably missed out our room. Is this reason acceptable? Anyway, we returned later in the night and the room is done plus a plate of complimentary fresh fruits. The room small window is behind the bed. The top of curtain do not completed covered the window. Hence early morning sunlight came through and quite disturbing.

Cons: The room we stayed 986 is large and comfortable by Taipei’s standard. We paid for a luxury room but the view is blocked by the surrounding wall (it is surrounded by the maintenance balcony). And also it is not quite privacy as the maintenance worker might pass by the balcony unnoticed.

Cons: The blanket had wierd circle stains which I informed the front desk after check-in. They assured me the blankets were clean but its still wierd to see in a hotel I assumed they would change it right away but they said they would inform the cleaning staff so I trusted their input. Then the next day, I came back and my room was made but it was still the same blanket. The rest of the room was comfortable and easy to use though.
