Taipei hotels in Shilin District

Pros: Wonderful staff, always friendly and helpful. Extremely clean, good bed, nice bathroom. Close to Tian Mu place and Beitou hot springs.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent! All of the employees were extremely friendly and professional. A boutique hotel that far exceeded our expectations! Excellent value.

Pros: Nice breakfast, very friendly staff. Location is great if you do not like the crowded inner city of Taipei. It is a very nice area with the big Night-market on walking distance. I always stay in this hotel when visiting the Taipei area.

Pros: The Dandy is a lovely, clean, functional hotel. The rooms are lovely and have everything you need. The breakfast was a real highlight with a mix of Asian and Western foods, great coffee and excellent service. We loved the location to visit family in a quieter neighbourhood of Taipei. It was wonderful to have laundry facilities too.

Pros: The hotel has mid-century modern minimalist decor that suits our aesthetic taste. The hotel faces a busy main street but once you enter a spacious hall decorated with natural wood furniture, your stress level goes down immediately-the lobby is on the third floor. The trilingual staff at front desk is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is delicious with a choice of Taiwanese and Western dishes. Their French toast was really good. The magnificent National Palace Museum is only 10 min walk from the hotel. If you like peace and tranquility for appreciating fine art, for writing or for some intellectual pursuit, away from bustling downtown, this is your place--It is not touristy, but not far from the night market and other attractions. I noticed that the hotel guests include professors who attended academic conferences at the nearby university and seasoned business people who like quiet spots for meetings. On the 5th floor is a small gym; laundry machines are free to use. there is also a small library overlooking a garden and a lily pond. The room is clean and spacious; the minibar in the room has a couple of soft drinks and water bottles for free. There is a convenience store nearby.

Pros: I like the view from the room and the bed was nice. I love the design and style of the common areas and the building as a whole. I love the mural , library and zen garden.

Pros: its closeness to the national museum is it's only redeeming factor. a 200 meter walk up the hill which was worth the walk!

Pros: their breakfast was awesome! also, their cafe space was so spacious and relaxing that helped me to focus on my work very much; I spent great work hours and relaxing time there. when it comes to its convenience of transportation, the main street is right in front of the hotel so, it's super easy to find taxi.

Pros: Located in a very pleasant area with great eating places nearby. Although a bit of a walk to the MRT, there are very close buses which are easy to use with assistance from Google.

Pros: Breakfast is delicious! Much better than you'd expect for such room rate. Location is ok, you can take city buses to MRT and other locations with just a 5 minute walk. Staff is nice and helpful! You can also find some shops and plenty of eating places near-by.

Pros: Although it's not near to mrt station. It's still all right if you don't plan to move around too much but just travel around the neighborhood. In general, I still enjoy the stay there as we have lots of choices when it comes too food and they have Takashimaya nearby, about 5 min walk only.

Pros: The room is clean and cozy. I like the bathtub; the idea of enjoying hot steam while taking a shower is pretty cool. The TV screen is quite large, great for movies.

Pros: There was a dehumidifier in the room. It purified the air too. The location is right next to ShiLin Metro stop.

Pros: No check in counter. Had to call a number shown outside a closed door and waited about 15 mins on the pavement for a male staff who arrived on a scooter. He opened the door and leads to a rather steep flight of steps to our room on level 2. He helped to carry my suitcase up. On check out I had to carry it down myself with much effort and time. Not suitable for elderly folks and children.
