Cons: The restaurant is only open for a short duration of time. We arrived the hotel at 1:45pm and the room was not ready till 3pm but the restaurant was already closed. Again, when we came back to the hotel at 9:15, the restaurant was also closed. Not much help from the front desk to recommend any good restaurants around the area.

Pros: Loved the shower. Strong and powerful as I like it. Only problem is the drainage couldn't quite cope, so the water would leak out of the shower stall. The room is larger than I expected. Queen-size bed was very comfortable and springy and sheets were very clean! The buffet breakfast though a small spread, was a good mix of Asian and western dishes, salads, soups, breads, carbs, protein and delicious. Nice coffee from the machine, which I learnt is available free round the clock as self service, with free cookies too. Hotel staff were very attentive, polite, kind and went above their job scope by helping to look up information online and to answer questions they were not familiar with, such as operation hours for certain restaurants, double-checking their locations and how to get there. Wifi was also excellent! Location is superb, less than 5 mins walk to daytime Dongmen market, a veritable treasure spot for cheap, local eats. abt 10 mins walk to the closest MRT station, and less than 15 mins to Taipei's first Din Tai Fung shop, which ALWAYS has a huge queue. But there are plenty are plenty of other nearby places for good eats, drinks, souvenir/ gift shopping for the tourist.

Cons: Emergency lighting and the noise from the fridge are disturbing sleep quality. The tedious and non-value added check-in procedure takes long time. We still need to scan passport and type name after we made payment to staff. This is not fun process especially hotspring hotel check in timing usually later than standard timing 15:00pm. Breakfast is under expectation, variety of choice is just ok, don’t have flower tea compared to other 3 star hotel. Coffee serving at breakfast is just so so, only two types. When people comes to hotspring hotel, they are coming for staycation, facility, food and good night sleep are important. Only hotspring facility is meeting expectation for me

Pros: Huge Japanese style tatami room with a large western style bed. The hot springs are the main water source in the shower and bath in the room so make sure you add some cold water too :) Although booking.com says check in is at 7pm we (4 people 2 rooms) were checked in when we arrived at 3pm. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk into town but they also offer shuttle service to and from town any time you want just give them a call. The hotel staff were so genuinely friendly I felt very relaxed here! We also had our own private onsen in the house for 1 hour during our stay which was very relaxing. The closest convenience store is only a short 2 minute walk and there is also a nice park just next door on top of a hill with great views of Beitou. The morning breakfast was a wonderful mix of vegetables, tofu and congee which was refreshing after a week of eating mostly deep fried street food !! :P

Cons: The location is quite a distance from the mrt. But they do provide free shuttle service to and fro beitou station, which is good. But the frequency and the way it works can be frustrating at times. For us, it was raining quite heavily, and we didnt have umbrella. So waiting at the sheltered station, we couldnt see the shuttle bus. So that was pretty inconvenient. Would have been great if the driver could have went to the station with umbrella to get us...

Pros: It was such a nice stay and I wish I had stayed for longer. The staff were friendly and helpful. Surprisingly, I got a free room upgrade and it was really nice! The location is perfect as it only takes 3 mins walk from Xinbeitou MRT Station and there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. I especially loved my own private hot tub in the room. That's just what I needed!

Cons: The hotel have a few vehicle. When peak time which everyone check out. The small bus hardly fit for people and luggage. Although we already booking for the shuttle bus earlier. Seem no staff check if others customer have booking or not and didn't give priority to the one booked earlier. For our situation. One of the staff make mistake as he let the large bus leave early and told us to take the small van. We need to hold our luggage inside the small van as our luggage stack too high (force to fit the luggage inside the van as large bus already left). But we still can tolerance for that as the van only travel for short distance (bring us to MRT station) and no one get hurt for this. Hopefully can improve for this.

Cons: My booking: 2 adults and 1 kid 6 years old indicated when I keyed in to make the booking but the breakfast tickets given to us only for 2 adults, not for my daughter. When we sit at the dining tables: plates, cutlery are served for only 2 adults. The staff who served omelette for breakfast also said that there are only 2 plates of omelette for 2 adults. I don't know why my booking indicated clearly 2 adults and 1 kid at 6 years old became only 2 adults breakfast while its "Breakfast included". If you don't want to give breakfast for the kid, pls write clearly "Kid breakfast is NOT included in the price, to pay separately" in the booking better than treat our kid like unwanted guest. Breakfast spread is only vegetable soup noodle and 1 plate of 1 omelette with some bread, it's considered very little for the hotel breakfast and we still have to share with kid, who's booking is included in the ticket. This hotel is NOT children friendly. Next time we don't book this hotel again.

It is situated right opposite the Xinbeitou Metro Station as well as near to the Beitou Hotspring Museum and Beitou Thermal Valley. - The receptionist allowed us to check-in before 3pm once they have tidied up their rooms, which is helpful as we can unload some of the stuffs inside our backpack. - Bed is comfortable and room size is okay. - Basic toiletries are provided.
Cons: - The English name of the hotel is Lotus Garden Hotel, hence it does not match with the name in Booking.com (i.e. Pink Lotus Hotel). It was fine for me as I looked out for the hotel based on its Chinese name and pictures. However, I think it may confuse customers who cannot read Chinese. - WiFi was not that stable and kept on disconnected. - The reason we stayed here for a night is to relax and experience the hotspring tub in the private bathroom. But, this place somehow turned out to be like a love motel (found a packet of condom on the cabinet beside the bed and there are porn channels in their TV). - It will be good if the dressing table in the room comes with a chair.

Pros: Staff is very friendly. Room is clean well daily. Hotel provides transportation from and to nearly railway and it makes it very convenient if needed a ride on raining days. It is a short half mile walk from railway so I had opportunity to see the surrounding tourist spots,, like Beitou Park, Beitou library, outdoor hot springs., mountain sceneries.. Hearing cicadas chirping daily is a rare treat and makes it more of that outdoor feel and its not happening where we live in US. Secondly, it is a little away from a major intersection so I did not hear any traffic noise. from hotel.
