Pros: Friendly staff, all in good condition, everything is new. The location is in the San Juan convention center district, we book it for a convention and we walk to all the activities. Nice view to the harbor and the cruise line. If you are traveling to take a cruise (Royal Caribbean terminal) it just right there. Overall is a 4 star hotel.

Pros: The hotel is fine, however my treatment was not! And I think it was because I booked via a third party sight... kayak! I arrived at hotel after a long long day, and was " told" no rooms were available because they needed to be cleaned. This was a lie! I sat in the lobby waiting. I noticed SEVERAL guests checking in and proceeding to their rooms. So I got up and asked about my rooms. I said I only needed one right now so could sleep as the other room was not needed for a while. They finally gave me a room. It was about the worst room in the entire hotel, but I didn't care as I was exhausted. I paid $600 for two rooms. The next night I decided NOT to use kayak, and find my own hotel. I did, and it was a better location and LESS than half the price. The remarkable part; resort and room occupancy fees where less than half via kayak. So in short. I'm about done with kayak. I'm fed up with being treated as a second class citizen, but paying top dollar! Dissatisfied does not describe my experience using kayak.

Pros: I liked the fact that everything was very clean and neat, even thou the hotel is almot at the end of the street, It's still walkable to the rest of the places you would like to go..(shopping, food, entertainment, beach).
Cons: On the other hand I didn't like the fact that they have extra charges after you pay everything online, they charge you for parking, $10.00 per night and also $28.00 extra per night... Those were the other charges after we had already paid everything online.. Just keep in mind that you have would have to pay "extra"

Pros: Every staff interaction was terrific. Friendly, eager, helpful, welcoming. Front desk, restaurant (tapas bar, food and staff shine!) History just walks the halls with you! The rooftop pool and hot tub with harbor view at sunset was something special. Then we left a coat behind, and discovered it after our cruise ship left, they packed it up and Shipped it home.

Pros: The Hotel Staff is bilingual, loves travelers, will always say hello, will help you find your way around, will feed you until you are stuffed, will make you feel like you are in a family home. This location is across the street from one of the oldest Catholic Cathedrals in North America. Centrally located in Old San Juan for UBER rides, two ancient forts and fabulous restaurants within a block or two. Police are everywhere protecting your safety.
Cons: Main elevator kept breaking down with immediate repair by local Contracted company. Any baggage moves handled by Hotel. They helped us totally through this minor problem.

Pros: The attention to detail and quality was evident in the furnishings and finishes of the hotel. The staff as courteous and responsive and the daily guest wine and cheese reception was a nice touch. It's location is hard to beat and the hotel blends well into the historical city of Old San Juan.

Cons: Check in process. 2 workers working the front desk. One with her head down, another talking to another person on in maintenance. No feeling of being welcome at this property. Hotel room had cracked tile, mold and black spots in the tub in the bathroom. Also asked for a wine opener to enjoy a bottle of wine in our room. The bartender didn't have a wine opener!

Pros: The beds were great, clean and perfectly firm. Pool was very nice. We liked that they provided chairs and towels on the beach even though it wasn't beachfront. The free happy hour is a huge plus.
Cons: There was a good amount of mold on the tile in the tub- I like to take baths when in hotels because I don't have a tub at home, so this was kind of gross. It is very loud from people in the atrium area as well as the loud music they play in the pool. I still slept pretty well since the beds are far away from the door closest to the atrium. Overall good value for the money. I wish there were microwaves in the room since a grocery store is nearby.

Pros: The pool was great but unfortunately no access to jacuzzi at night. Within walking distance to a nice beach.
Cons: Service was extremely slow. Had to wait an hour for a tiny pizza at the pool area and it took us 45 mins to check out due to very slow service and not enough staff on a busy Sunday morning. Lastly, we ordered glasses to our room that never came and there was a dirty towel in the bathroom when we checked in.

Pros: Nice pool, though not for lap swimming. The jacuzzi was nice and hot, though it could use more jets. We enjoyed the Happy Hour with free beverages. The "free appetizers" are just taco chips and popcorn. The free breakfast is alright - get there early if you don't want to wait in a long line. Includes greek yogurt, fresh fruit, as well as hot foods. The hotel is a short walk from a beautiful beach, where the guest is supplied with free chairs and towels. Umbrellas may be available for those who arrive early. There are some great nearby restaurants, Metropol is one. "Old Town" is 6 miles away. Nice, but don't get stuck in all the gift shops unless you really enjoy that kind of thing.
Cons: The WiFi is useless. There is loud music playing often, which can be heard in any room, as all rooms surround an atrium.

Pros: This was our second visit. We love the historic and quaint atmosphere this hotel provides, exactly the experience we wanted in Old San Juan. This small hotel is not crowded and staff treat you like a personal guest. They go above and beyond to help you and ensure you enjoy your stay.
Cons: It can be a bit noisy but at no fault of the hotel. When you stay on Fortaleza St you are in the center of the action and hear music from neighboring restaurants. We did not mind this. Being in the center of things was important to us and we felt part of the activity and excitement that is Old San Juan.

Cons: The room was incredibly small. I need to talk to someone in the front desk to get my key, and they had a sign that says "for help text x number". Nobody answered until the next day when I had left already. How did I finally get my key? I opened the desk and there it was, no help, no security, no supervision. I just took it and kept going.

Pros: Beautiful hotel!!! Excellent staff! Fantastic location. Our A/C was leaking and they could not get it to stop. The hotel had no other rooms available so to fix the problem they moved us to a nearby hotel. The new place was beautiful as well and it felt like we got an upgraded room. We were very impressed with how the situation was resolved so quickly and smoothly.

Pros: We loved our stay at this cozy little boutique hotel in the heart of Old San Juan! Lots of character and small rooms (which we liked and found so comfortable). Loved the chandeliers in the bedroom and even bathroom! The staff was so accommodating and friendly and hauled my overstuffed, incredibly heavy bag all the way up 5 flights of stairs with no problem (they don't have an elevator yet). The rooftop was so unique and overlooked the city too! I would highly recommend if you're looking for a different kind of experience than the Hilton and big chain hotels.

Pros: We enjoyed the proximity to Old San Juan and the friendly staff. The room was very comfortable and the WIFI worked well even after the hurricane when not many working WiFi signals could be found. We also enjoyed the infinity pool and the gym. Zen Spa was also great, relaxing and the therapists very helpful.
Cons: However we were overcharged a small amount by Zen Spa and it’s been over a week since our stay and we haven’t been reimbursed for the mistake by the Zen Spa staff. It’s looking like we will have to go there again personally to take care of the problem.

Pros: Rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was warm and friendly. Loved the total non-smoking environment which amazingly included the casino. We also appreciated having the green option available for opting out of daily room service.
Cons: Had difficulty getting service in their restaurant in the evenings. In fact, one evening we were the only two patrons and after being seated for 10+ minutes with no waitperson approaching us, we left to go eat elsewhere. However, breakfast was great!

Pros: The hotel is in a great location for touring Old San Juan. Taxi access great and right on the waterfront. The staff and service here is perfect.
Cons: It's so unbelievably overpriced for a mid-range style Sheraton it made us choke paying their prices. However, they know they can hold you hostage with those prices given the other hotel options in Old San Juan. Its quite loud in the hallways, but I must say the location is awesome.

Pros: Great stay but had ask repeatedly for washcloths. Going green ( no maid service, just fresh towels ) was pefect....and received a $5 coupon each day you go green. Used it in the restaurant. Downside, they forgot to give it to us one day. And still no washcloths!! Another downside, cable reception was horrible all 4 nights!!! No TV for longer than 20 or so minutes. Very aggravating. So dont expect to relax to a movie or occupy the kiddies while you get ready for dinner. Front desk never had an answer and nothing they could do. Otherwise, great location, comfy beds, quiet hallways at night.

Pros: Great location in Old San Juan. A bit pricey, but you're walking distance to everything in Old San Juan. Room was clean, staff was friendly. I loved my stay. Got to the airport, picked up the rental car, drove to the Sheraton, and didn't drive it again until we left the next evening.
Cons: The parking was like $20 a day or so. Valet only. There is parking nearby in a garage that is more economical. We chose to leave out car with the hotel.

Cons: Dollar you to death. They charge 22.00 a day for beach taxes and do not tell you to you check out and then apply it to the 200.00 that you must put down when check in. ( THIS IS JUST FRAUD ). when I paid 6.00 usd to use there computer in there business center, the internet would not work. They refused to refund my money. Told me to come back tomorrow and i could use the computer for free. I told them i was checking out today and wanted credit for my 6.00. I was told by management they could not refund me. Due to these hidden cost, we moved to a different hotel.

Had to ask front desk 3 times for someone to unclog our bathroom shower (super unhygienic) and after everything was said and done they didn't come to fix it or move us rooms. They didn't even compensate us for the horrible inconvenience. The place felt really run down and in a not so safe location for walking around. Additionally the bathroom wouldn't stop flushing all night so the sound of water was really annoying. Not to mention the smell of this rancid running water. Waist experience at an intercontinental (which I'm truly a fan of usually).

Pros: Had to spend one extra day in PR after vacation elsewhere, and we randomly picked the IH. We were pleasantly surprised. They let us do early check-in 4 hours before the regular time. The room was very comfortable for all 4 of us, and the beds were super comfortable. The facilities were also great, beautiful pools and of course a nice beach. Will be back for a longer stay next time.

Pros: The location is right on the beach, close to the airport. Good views from the ocean facing rooms. We were on the 16th floor and it was great. Lots of restaurants nearby and within the hotel. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. Great housekeeping staff, very friendly and helpful
Cons: Sand fleas...a tiny bug that bites like a mosquito/bed bug. They were all over in our room. This was before we had even stepped on the beach, so they were there before we came and stayed with us till the end. We had to apply bug repellent to sleep and not be bitten. No activities by the hotel. They charge a resort fees but it feels more like a traditional hotel rather than a resort. Tiny bathrooms No easy access to clothes dryer, c'mon you are on the beach.

Pros: Beach area is beautiful There are plenty of pool options Lots of eating options on the grounds (all are pricey such as $25 for a burger, fries, and a Coke) Our room wasn't ready even though it was after 3:00pm, so we got a $50 hotel credit! Near an area with good food options like US chains, US fast food, Puerto Rican/Dominican foods, bakeries, pizza, and burgers.

Pros: The front desk staff upon check-in was very welcoming, helpful and informative. I love that the physical integrity of the lobby has not been changed (yet). The entertainment (Calma Carmona) on Thursday night at the lounge was amazingly talented!
Cons: Hilton recently purchased the property and are in the process of a $60-million renovation project. The soft opening was February 5, 2017 -- two weeks prior to our stay. According to the staff we spoke with there are currently only 50 rooms completed and available for rental. This became obvious when the hammering and drilling started at 7:30AM! Sleeping-in while on vacation was impossible. The casino in the lobby has been removed! This use to be a huge draw and great source of entertainment. Evidently there is no plan to replace it. The non-authentic food by the pool was less than mediocre. Although there were only 50 rooms available for rental there weren't enough chairs by the main pool with the swim-up bar to accommodate the guests. What will happen when they are at full capacity? The construction dust near the second pool made it difficult to relax and breathe.

Pros: The staff made the experience even better! Everyone was super nice, but Dani, the bartender that works the rooftop bar, made me want to plan another trip there. He was super attentive and even brought us drinks while we were lounging by the pool! I never had to repeat what I had ordered with him. I could also see that he remembered what everyone else ordered as wel. So if you wanted a refill, he already knew what your drink of choice was! Super amazing personality!

Pros: This place is great. Clean comfortable room with WiFi. The staff is very nice and helpful. There are two restaurants on site - one is on the rooftop with a pool. If you want to journey out for food, there a two bar/restaurants just down the street that are very friendly. The location is not on a main road, so there is no hustle an bustle in front of the hotel. Towels and chairs are supplied on it's beach front location. I have been here twice and am definitely coming back again.

It is outdated and noting special - but it was CLEAN (didn't find a single foreign hair) and Randy (at the check in desk) gave excellent service in fluent English. We stayed there less than 8 hours, so it gave us what we needed. We will stay there again, if we have a late arrival at SJU.
Cons: The room was quite small, and there is not much space to store clothes. No fridge in room. There can be a long walk from baggage claim, with stairs and ramps to negotiate.

Pros: The hotel room was exactly what I needed for my one night stay. The room was clean although small, but it suited my needs quite well. The restaurant offered good food and I found hot tub area was quite relaxing during the night as this was the only time I was there. I was unable to partake of breakfast as my flight required a check in prior to when the breakfast started. There was even a fitness room. Staff was really friendly and accommodating. Would've gotten more stars if price was lower.

I come from Alaska and the rooms are freezing. No matter what I tried, I barely got it warm up to 62 from the 50 it was set to when I got in.

I think they put the whole people in east side the building and black in wester side the building . The lounge is no the best they barely have anything gong on the pool is nice but very dead . The area locating its Beatuful close to everything so we spent most time outside the bed is very very comfortable . One think there is no way put the heat in the room if you cold for some reason everything is ac only . They charge you a resort fee when I was told that everything was already included in my stay but hey don’t mind supporting the plo . The gym is very small and I woood expect more stuff in there. Overall good hotel I ll give 4 stars
