Québec City hotels near Quartier Petit Champlain

Pros: All the staff were very kind and helpful. Luigi, Victor, Marika and Gabrielle at the front office helped us a lot and were so kindly informed us of recommended restaurants and places to visit and made the reservations.

Cons: Nothing in particular. It is just most of the hotels in Old Quebec area dont have elevator. Could be troublesome if you bring big luggages

Cons: The bathroom was very cold and with no obvious heating option.

Pros: Phenomenal experience!! Room was immaculate and extremely comfortable. Staff was very warm friendly and attentive. Food was incredible. Service was by far above par! Location was great easily accessible and quiet. We will return as offer as possible!

Pros: Location fantastic, close to sites I wanted to see or experience. Arrived by bus from the airport and discovered the hotel was so very close to the stop. Using public transportation was to easy and convenient. I had inquired about using the bus with the hotel but they suggested a taxi not sure why.

Pros: The location is on a quiet block but right in the middle of Vieux-Québec and a very quick walk to other various sites (Rue St Louis, Plains of Abraham, the Citadel, Chateau Frotenac, etc). The hotel is definitely in an older, historic building, but the room (at least the one I stayed in) was nicely modernized with all of the various fixings.

Cons: The heating/air conditioning was a bit finicky. You have the option of controlling things within the room which is helpful, but the control panel is not the most user friendly. A quick how-to (either verbal or written) would have been helpful!

Pros: I liked everything about the hotel - the location, the room, the amenities, the in-hotel bar, the breakfast, and especially the staff who were friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Cons: The floors were creaky and the air conditioner loud!Bed was very uncomfortable! I had a very sore neck and back the next morning! Also had trouble getting the car from the valet! Waited over an hor and a half then had to get it our selves.

Pros: Amazing staff, always friendly and welcoming. Best hotel stay I can remember. Close to everything, we were able to walk everywhere. Facilities in hotel were fantastic and comfortable.

Pros: Classic rooms were modern yet retained old world charm. Modern rooms were very spacious with great facilities. Location in lower old Quebec City is very close to everything you need including restaurants, cafes and easy walk to upper old city.

Pros: Thank you for the upgrade upon arrival. It was a pleasant surprise! Very lovely to have classical music playing the moment I opened the door. Wish I stayed longer! Breakfast was very good. The lady who served was very welcoming.

Pros: One of the best accommodations in the lower downtown. This was our 3rd stay in years and we have to admit that it is always worth choosing this auberge. The wine automate is an amazing gadget in the reception hall:)

Cons: This time the room temperature was not quite okay but a bit of wine downstairs always helps you in keeping warm:)

Pros: Was more than just a room. The lobby was like a very comfortable self serve bar with a fireplace and beakfast in the morning was top notch. Close to great attractions and restaurants. Bed was fantastic!

Cons: We upgraded to Fairmont gold. When we brought our favorite wine and spirits, in a glass already mixed, to the lounge we were told we had to purchase alcohol from the hotel. As with many people we have our favorite brands. I have no problems with the hotel rules. However they were never explained, to us, either verbally or in the brochure explaining Gold amenities. It would have been nice to have been made aware of the rules.

Pros: Chateau Frontenac is absolutely beautifully decorated during the holidays. The staff was lovely and very helpful with activities+dinner reservations. Our concierge was a wonderful gem. The bars had amazing mixologists and fun servers.

Pros: Breakfast amazing. Fantastic staff. Building falling apart, and for that money I would've expected more.

Cons: Facilities were run down. Public restrooms were used for more than one kind of relief outside the bar in the lobby. Lively staff and exquisite decoration!

Pros: It was really well located for exploring Quebec City. Staff was really nice. Room was very large. Room was really clean.

Cons: There was a post in the middle of the room between the 2 beds, kinda awkward. Beds were only doubles, with the size of the rooms would have loved having a queen.

Cons: The front stairs. With a baby, 2 kids and a stroller it was a little difficult, but staff was awesome placed us in the front of the hotel where there is only 2 rooms, great, secluded and closest to the entry. Even dough I didn’t like the stairs I would stay there again.

Pros: The staff were exceptional. Everyone was very friendly and eager to help in any way. The location is perfect. Everything is within easy walking distance to exceptional restaurants, museums, and events.

Pros: Proximity to all the attractions of Old Quebec make this an excellent and tasteful choice for the discerning traveller. Staff are warm and well presented. The hotel is very clean, and rooms comfortable. Meticulous! Well done, Manoir Victoria!

Pros: The location was great and the staff very helpful and courteous. Within walking distance of the cruise port. The decor and room arrangement was very attractive.

Cons: No coffee service in the morning, and the 3rd floor navigation to our room was confusing at first. Very choppy but I understand they brought together several old buildings.

Pros: Great hotel staff that were very accomodating. We were on our Honeymoon and had an unexpected emergency that brought us back to the states. They were very understanding and allowed us to cancel the remaining nights.

Cons: The couch had some dirt on the arm rest which was a only a minor inconvenience.

Cons: When we first arrived we were put into a room on the first floor which did not look anything like the rooms advertised on their website. This room was dated and dirty, with mould around the bathtub. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. We asked to be moved to a different room but unfortunately they were full that night so we had to spend the night there. As the room was close to the elevator it was very noisy. The pullout couch our daughter slept on was uncomfortable and very squeaky which was pretty annoying. The next morning they were nice enough to move us to a beautifully renovated room on the 3rd floor. The room was gorgeous and a major upgrade from the dirty dated room we had the first night. Unfortunately looks is all it had going for it. The beds were still uncomfortable, the pillows a lumpy cheap polyester mess. And then there's the street noise! There is no soundproofing at all so you hear every car, bus, truck, drunken reveler....If you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you. The pullout couch in this room was still very uncomfortable and squeaky. The curtains don't block out the light at night which also doesn't help trying to get a good night's sleep. Overall this hotel is not worth the price tag. Also, don't pay for the hotel parking, there is cheaper parking across the street and half the time the "valet" just pointed to a parking spot for us to go park in ourselves.
