Pros: Super location near so many things we wanted to see, the breakfast which we bought with the room was utterly amazing. Nice staff, sorbet and gelato a nice surprise. We were not fond of the dinner at Chez Muffy's. It was very expensive, limited menu and the service and food were only okay. Check in time for us was a little late , 4 pm., but they did keep our bags for us. and for the first time ever there was a floss dispenser in the bathroom. Loved the shower.

Cons: The reason I gave the cleanliness a good was because our shower's grout lines were either in need of regrouting or a good cleaning in places. It smelled fine and I know how hard it can be to get a shower perfect being by the sea. Someone who is picky would care. We did not complain or mention to the hotel.

Pros: Fantastic breakfast! Lovely old home in residential area. Thirty minute walk to Old Quebec. Ten minute walk to numerous restaurants. Pretty gardens. Friendly, helpful host. Free wifi and parking.

Cons: Room was a bit warm for sleeping. House had a/c but don't think sleeping area did and windows didn't open. A fan was provided, however.

Pros: Very friendly lady, Miss Hubert is a great cook. Every morning she gives us a very delicious breakfast. Also helpful with booking tickets for the museum. Thank you Miss Hubert.

Pros: The house is an older house, traditionally decorated and not far from the old city. The rooms are confortable and sparkling clean. Mme Mireille will do everything possible so her guests would feel wonderful. We would not hesitate to come again.

Pros: Great location near park, St Lawrence River, restaurant & cafe areas and bus stops. Easy walk if you wanted to old walled town area, museums, etc. Breakfasts were very well presented & prepared plus something different each day. A very friendly & helpful host plus great conversations with a variety of guests over breakfast during our 5 night stay.

Cons: Our room was on the street side and would have been better to have black-out rather than blinds in terms of window curtains plus a completely separate room for the toilet/bathroom.

Pros: Clean and nicely decorated room with an en-suite bathroom. Little shared room/library where you can make your own tea/coffee. Amazing breakfast. Very friendly and service minded host. Free parking. Bus stop to old town across the street (or you can walk there in 35 minutes).

Pros: We stayed at this property for one night only, but I think we would have enjoyed a longer stay. The lady of the house was awaiting our arrival and was most congenial. The location of the house is excellent, about a 3 km walk along the Grande Allée to the walls of the old City of Quebec, and is also on a bus route (better to walk or get the bus than look for parking down there). Breakfast was lovely, and we had very nice companions - that's one of the nice things about staying at a bed and breakfast.

Cons: I arrived around 7pm, checked in, entered room that was not clean, appeared to have another guest - unmade bed with comforter on floor, TV on, used towels, & trash in room. Then waited 30 minutes in the lobby for another room, which was not as nice.

Pros: Loved the location. The hotel was wonderful and the outside sitting area was a bonus. The room was small but perfect for our stay. My husband is quite tall so he found the bed a little small but no complaints. We would stay here again for sure.

Cons: The stairs, the steep narrow stairs. Someone stole my can of beer. There was only a refrigerator outside our room and we were in the basement with one other room. Not very nice. There wasn’t tea or coffee facilities in our room and the room had too much furniture in the little space that we had. The step out of the shower is too high and dangerous when stepping out of it with wet feet.

Pros: The location. It was very close to the main tourist attractions.

Cons: Very rude to put 2 people in a 200x200cm room (without informing beforehand). The room itself was nicely decorated, but we were lucky to fit our suitcases in. We don’t have super high standards so small rooms usually are fine. But when someone tells you at the reception: ‘I’m not sure if your suitcases fit in the room too’, then that’s a bit too much for us. As far as we could see the other rooms were fine though so I guess we were unlucky. Tip for the hotel: make sure to inform your guests beforehand if you decide to give a room this small. Tip for future guests: make sure to check up front and state you want a bigger room

Pros: Easy access to old city sites. Clean and affordable. Website information was accurate in the description. Quiet and well maintained.

Pros: Didn't try the breakfast. The location was excellent. The street it was on had a good selection of bars, cafes and restaurants. The hotel was comfortable close to the Gare de Palais (I arrived by train) and the 800 and 801 buses for the old town were just outside. Excellent location for our weekend. Also, my daughter enjoyed the swimming pool.

Pros: The best feature of this hotel was its location. My husband and I loved being outside the most touristy parts of the city, and we found plenty of great eating and drinking options just a short walk away. To get to the tourist sites, we just had a short (uphill) walk, but there was a staircase and an elevator available to make it a bit easier in the heat.

Cons: The only issue we had with the room was the bathroom. There was only one hook for wet towels, and there wasn't a fan. It'd be great if the hotel added another hook on the back of the bathroom door.

Cons: When processing our cc we were told it had been cancelled, altho it had just been used successfully. Not a problem per se, but a nerve- racking inconvenience, compounded by possibly being stranded 3000 miles from home.

Pros: Very close to Old Quebec. Nice updated hotel. Thankful for the umbrellas they had for guests to use.

Pros: Fantastic location just outside the old city. Restaurants were less than a minute walk from hotel. Parking was not on site but public parking (which they use) was just a couple of minutes walk away so park it yourself to save paying for valet parking.

Cons: While I was there, there was no wifi available because of technical issues, and it really let me down. And also toothpaste or toothbrush were not there, although I was willing to pay to purchase they didn't have one. The room that I booked was smaller than the image provided.

Pros: I booked this hotel mostly because of the ambience. I have a soft spot for older brick buildings that have been renovated. The location was also perfect, close walk to old quebec but not right in the center of it. We arrived in the evening of Christmas day, a little bit annoyed at Westjet for losing our luggage, but thankfully we were greeted by a friendly receptionist. He was quite helpful, although after him, the other receptionists we had to deal with were not really helpful. first the room : It was not as I expected! I mean it was a loft room which I absolutely love, the bathroom was small but well equipped with a stylish bathtub! The toiletries were pretty good considering not a lot of hotels have good ones (the best one I had was At Revere Hotel in Boston). We had to go up two steps to have a small living room. The couch was not comfortable but it's ok. On the second level was the bedroom- simple design, with sky light!!! although it was covered in blinds and I'm not sure why. The bed and pillows were very comfortable as well. The floor we were at was at the 3rd floor and it was really quiet. I didn't think there were a lot of guests there? I may have mostly seen couples staying here. I do recommend it for couples on a romantic holiday. It's a unique boutique hotel. It also has the theater just beside and an italian restaurant (which we did not try) but seemed to be a good place for a quiet evening. Oh just right in front of the hotel is an ice skating rink! It was nice just watching the people ice skate.

Cons: Staff were ok or maybe I am just used to meeting receptionists with greater enthusiasm of sharing about the hotel, activities and quebec city in general. When I asked the lady receptionist to call my cell number once westjet return my luggage (so we can come back and change our clothes), she said she will (although I had to asked her if they have my number to which she said "oh, let me check" - that should have been the sign that she will not, and I was right, so we just decided to return by 1pm to check and sure enough my luggage had arrived and no calls from her. A little disappointed with this kind of service but overall not a big deal. Litte things like these do matter in the service industry, it is what separate mediocre to excellent hotels. The 3rd receptionist was ok, he was nice but again not very helpful. We asked about options for car service in and around quebec since we are planning for dogsledding and we do not intend to drive. He does not seem to be aware of anything else except a cab service. No offers to help us organize it or anything (again, maybe these are only for more luxurious hotels but I have stayed in boutique hotels and services had always been excellent). He did provide us a number to call. But we noted that cabs are just outside the hotel. As for cleaning service, we had inadvertently turned on the do not disturb sign (i thought it was light switch), so we missed the early morning cleaning. We asked the receptionist for our room to be cleaned (we were there 4 days, but only requested one day of cleaning and change of towels), and sadly, the cleaning was subpar. No vacumming was done, it was done haphazardly, because there were still some trash left behind. Towels were changed but I do not think sheets were changed. hope they will improve because this is a really cute boutique hotel. I can ignore some of these because of the comfort of their room and location.
