Québec City hotels near Place Royale

Pros: The lobby and guest room were modern and beautiful. The staff was especially welcoming and warm. The lobby was decorated with contemporary comfortable sofas, open spaces with burning candles, wine bar, Nespresso coffee machines, wood and stone walls. The well-designed shower, bath and guest room were spacious and tastefully decorated. The room had a Nespresso machine, which I enjoyed. Additionally, our room had huge windows with a beautiful view. Adjoining the hotel was a restaurant with great food including breakfast (which was included with our room) and a full bar. This was a very enjoyable stay.

Pros: Great hotel in the perfect location. Staff was superb especially given how busy the hotel must be constantly. Had a huge newly renovated room, king bed, pull out couch plus plenty of room for a cot for our two sons 16 and 11.

Pros: This hotel is stunningly beautiful from the outside, it feels like you're staying in a castle. Once inside, it's very charming. They have a really nice bar/lounge on the first floor, that serves great food and has couches and fireplaces in a circle around the bar. And wifi works in there. I would go there with my laptop and work sometimes. Upstairs the pool is huge and really nice, and has a rooftop view of the old city. And the gym facilities are modern and clean, with that same view while you're on the treadmill. Rooms are good. Not "super" luxurious as it's an older building, but definitely nice and clean, and quiet. And the staff is very friendly. I really enjoyed my stay.

Pros: Staff is very helpful and the location is fantastic. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go in the city, and the room was very plesant, with a good view.

Pros: The hotel is in the best location for someone wanting to see different parts of Quebec City. The staff is very well trained and seems to try to exceed expectations. This is a gorgeous historic hotel that has been extensively renovated. The pool and spa, all the restaurants, etc. are at or above the standards of what you will find in more modern luxury hotels. Based on my experience, I would recommend staying in one of the traditional decor rooms (preferably beginning 62##).

Pros: We enjoyed five nights in a family suite at Hotel Palace Royal. We had our adult nephew with us, and this struck the right balance of family togetherness and privacy -- even having two TVs was a plus. The hotel's location was convenient to everything, yet our room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The room layouts are well thought-out, including the spacious two-part bathroom. The decor and furnishings are elegant. Everything met and exceeded our expectations. In a city of great restaurants, we actually had one of our best meals of the trip at Le Beffroi, the steakhouse in the hotel! The rain kept us in that night, but we did not regret it. It was a special occasion meal, and we rate the selections, service, atmosphere, and quality all very high -- in fact, along with being a very good experience, it was a very good value! Room service for breakfast (a time-saver) was also good quality, and surprisingly no more expensive than a comparable breakfast in a restaurant in town.

Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location. Easy to walk to everything. The staff was friendly and had many suggestions on places to eat and visit. The room was well appointed and quite large.

Pros: Staff was very friendly, bilingual and helpful. We had a larger than typical room as it was handicapped accessible. The kids enjoyed the pull out sofa bed in the separate sitting area (separated by glass doors from the bedroom area) and the jetted tub. The location is very convenient to the Old City and The Citadel. Both areas are just a short 10-15 minute walk. There is also a bus station behind the hotel if you are in need of public transportation. There was a mini-fridge available for use which was spacious enough to hold the iPads and other gaming devices the kids use. There are plenty of mirrors in the bathroom as well as a magnifying mirror.

Pros: Very clean. Very modern looking. Large rooms. Easy access to the highway. Friendly staff. Would recommend this place to anyone willing to be outside the city itself.

Pros: Unlike a previous commenter, our waitress at Cosmos was wonderful! We only went once. The food was okay. But the service was excellent! My son has a nut allergy. They were very attentive to it and very accommodating. Our waitress was absolutely lovely! Hotel was fine. Modern. Front desk staff were also very friendly. Hotel was close to the ferry to vieux Quebec, which was where we spent most of our time. That was very convenient. They do have a shuttle but we never used it so can’t comment on that. Overall, a good hotel experience.
