Pros: The staff was wonderful and super attentive whenever needed. The room was big, modern, and beautiful with a giant bathtub and comfortable king bed. During check in our room included a couple of desserts and a personalized card. It’s only a couple blocks from one of the main streets of Old Town but the street that it is on is quaint and quiet. We loved unwinding each evening with a martini by the fireplace in the library area and the whole lobby area in general is sleek and super attractive. Would definitely stay here again if I make it back up to Montreal.

Pros: My family and I couldn't have been happier staying here. The room was great. Fit the 3 of us just fine. We had a king size bed and the staff brought up a folding twin for my daughter. The bathroom was fantastic. Giant deep tub, glass enclosed shower, and a separate room for the toilet. The bar/lounge/library down stairs was very nice. Their breakfast was fine. The staff was top notch. They are incredibly friendly and so willing to help make your stay memorable. They took care of booking tours, recommending restaurants, and booking our limousine back to the airport. The location in old Montreal couldn't have been better. It's on a quiet little street and just a short walk to everywhere. Next time I go back to Montreal I will be staying here for certain.

Really enjoyed the understated contemporary decor of the room, which was spotless and had all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Cons: It’s such a small thing to point out and didn’t matter to us at all but the TV had very little channels that worked. The guide had hundreds and it seemed like everyone we chose was an add on service, even fairly basic ones like E!, FX, Lifetime, etc. I do think it’s possible to rent DVDs though to watch something but we didn’t bother because we were out and about most of the time.

Cons: Going to the bar for a cup of coffee in the morning, I received cold coffee, which they did replace, but there was a lot of chaos there. Somebody came in to stock the alcohol for the bar, three other staff there, but it still took awhile. Then while drinking my coffee a supervisor came and was reprimanding those 3 staff people, instead of taking them to the back room to do it.

Pros: My room was ready early and Marco at front desk was welcoming and helpful. A few days later, when I suffered a sprained ankle, he was quick to send up a bag of ice to relieve the swelling. The location was great for walking to many points of interest, and room service dinners were delicious. Staff went out of their way to find a croissant to go with my evening tea. Housekeeping were kind and pleasant and did an outstanding job.

Housekeeping were kind and pleasant and did an outstanding job.
Cons: Breakfast ($30 for a bowl of boxed muesli and tea) was too expensive. And on the final day of my sprained ankle, the ultra-responsive staff suddenly and inexplicably "checked out". Multiple efforts via Room Service, Housekeeping and Front Desk went unanswered. I simply wanted another bag of ice for my ankle and no one in those areas was picking up the phone. I tried each one at least 3 times and let it ring out. No one called me back either. In the meantime my dining tray and ice bucket with melted ice were picked up expeditiously from outside my door. That was disappointing. I flew out the next morning.

Pros: The lobby is very nice and welcoming and the rooms just fine given the fact that it is not a brand new hotel. What is most important the cleanliness and that one was definitely delivered. The staff was very friendly, kind and supportive. The swimming pool looks so nice.
Cons: The corridors and elevators give you a little bit old feel, however, it is clear it is not a brand new place. Moreover, it would be helpful to understand how does one make a tea in the room using the coffee machine where the tea is offered but no cattle.

Cons: The hotel is situated in a dirty, creepy street, although it’s convenient for public transportation. It has a garage but parking is expensive, about $18/night. The hotel itself is outdated and would definitely need renovation—the “exercise room” for instance consists of 4 machines total, 2 of which was out of order... Our room was spacious but the windows were facing the other building so not much of a view. We also had a kitchenette but I found it kind of petty and appalling that a small piece of paper warned on one of the cupboards to wash all the cups/cutlery/etc. you use otherwise you’ll be charged by $25+tax... It’s not like I would want to make a huge mass but I thought it’s part of the “deal” being able to use stuff without actually doing all the cleanup. The bed was quite uncomfortable being super soft and also very short—I’m not a super tall person but my feet were almost hanging off the bed.
