Pros: Very accommodating. Great neighborhood. clean and nice. Terrific service. Nice restaurant and breakfast spread. Rooftop bar. Overall the staff could not have been more responsive and very accommodating. Our room was very nice. A petite suite, loved the spa tub and comfortable king-sized bed. We will definitely stay again.
Cons: Staff (Melanie) needs to be careful sending clients to tourist restaurants. We specifically stated no "tourist restaurants". There are so many lesser-known restaurants that are fabulous and worth trying. We were sent to Vieux port steakhouse for sunday brunch. We had slop. We arrived sunday morning. After we saw many terrific cafes and brasserie. And please note she (Melanie) did NOT tell us about the rooftop bar or your new restaurant. Perhaps we would have gotten our sunday late morning/ early lunch there.

Pros: We came to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and enjoy some downtime before the holidays. Every detail is considered at this hotel. The staff were responsive, warm, and very accommodating. We stayed in a petite suite, loved the spa tub, rainfall shower, and plush, down king-sized bed. The Verses restaurant downstairs offers impeccable contemporary French fare, and Olive and Gourmando just down the street is perfect for fresh coffee and croissants in the morning. We will definitely stay here again.

Cons: My room - 412 - was a corner room and the heat was not working properly. Maintenance came up and did not do anything useful. I had housekeeping bring up a space heater to keep the room warm. Without the space heater, the room was about 65 degrees. Too cold for sleeping for me. The hotel should keep the facility a little warmer overall, and not let the rooms get so cold. The HVAC system did not put out nearly enough heat.

Pros: The petite suite was exceptionally comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The staff was comprised of some of the most pleasant, helpful, people ever seen on this planet.
Cons: The room had an espresso maker, but did not have a regular coffee maker. For those of us who find espresso unpalatable, a regular coffee maker would be far preferable.

Pros: Really enjoyed our stay, friendly staff and beautiful, cozy room! The shower was amazing, with the second rain shower overhead and the fireplace was perfect for the time of year (early April- about 0 degrees Celsius) my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the complementary water and chocolate brought to our door every day. It was a sweet touch. The location was convenient. A lot of great restaurants and site seeing nearby! And the metro is less than a 5 minute walk. What we probably appreciated the most was the concierge who sat right in the lobby, ready for our questions. We had many. Wanting to know the best places to eat and visit, even making reservations for a tour and dinner reservation. she was the best!
Cons: Probably the only thing we didn't like was the continental breakfast. $19 per person. Definitely not worth the price. There wasn't a lot of options and it was all cold (granted we ate at around 10am) so it sat out for a couple hours but I would have expected the food be kept in chafing dishes to stay warm for that price. so needless to say that was the only time we ate breakfast in our hotel. So many other great breakfast spots around the corner!

Pros: My family and I couldn't have been happier staying here. The room was great. Fit the 3 of us just fine. We had a king size bed and the staff brought up a folding twin for my daughter. The bathroom was fantastic. Giant deep tub, glass enclosed shower, and a separate room for the toilet. The bar/lounge/library down stairs was very nice. Their breakfast was fine. The staff was top notch. They are incredibly friendly and so willing to help make your stay memorable. They took care of booking tours, recommending restaurants, and booking our limousine back to the airport. The location in old Montreal couldn't have been better. It's on a quiet little street and just a short walk to everywhere. Next time I go back to Montreal I will be staying here for certain.

Pros: We loved the location and the staff. the room was spacious and trendy with a bedroom, bathroom, living room, a small kitchenette and a second pull down bed. This is a great spot for families. Pets are accepted (you probably need to make a prior arrangement.

Pros: The room was lovely and we liked having a mini-kitchen. The staff behind the front desk was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations.
Cons: Going to the bar for a cup of coffee in the morning, I received cold coffee, which they did replace, but there was a lot of chaos there. Somebody came in to stock the alcohol for the bar, three other staff there, but it still took awhile. Then while drinking my coffee a supervisor came and was reprimanding those 3 staff people, instead of taking them to the back room to do it.
This family-friendly Montreal hotel is located in the entertainment district, within a 10-minute walk of McCord Museum, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and McGill University. Eaton Centre and Place des Arts are also within 15 minutes. Peel Station is only a 3-minute walk and McGill Station is 7 minutes.

Lovely lounge. Reasonable valet parking rate. Excellent breakfast offering in hotel cafe. Our first choice for accommodations when visiting Montreal. Great for business trips, but also family-friendly!

Pros: The hotel is in central Montreal and very close to McGill University. It manages to feel warm and welcoming while at the same time hitting a high standard for service and amenities. We have stayed at 5-6 hotels in the area and this has become our hotel of choice. Be sure to join the preferred customer club - it is free and gives you free wifi and free coffee delivered to your room every morning.

Pros: We only stayed one night, but I was happy with our choice. The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and have plenty of natural light, the staff is friendly and welcoming, the pool is shallow but big enough to do laps. It's across from McGill University, and a good 30-45mins walking distance to the Notre-Dame Basilica.

Pros: I love their comforter and pillows so much, that I remembered to stay there again, even though the last time I stayed was maybe 12-13 years ago. This despite the fact that I've tried 4 Seasons and other luxury hotels. This is the only one that left an impression. Great restaurant - tried it for dinner and breakfast. The only negative is the (free) WIFI - connection was difficult, convoluted, and unreliable.

Pros: The location is great. It is very close to the metro station, China town, downtown, and old town. The room was nice. WiFi worked well on most of our devices.
Cons: Parking was terrible when we arrived. There is one spot in front of the hotel reserved for arriving/departing guests. It was occupied when we arrived and we couldn't do much else but circle the block until we parked in a no parking zone. Worse is that they do not have onsite parking. The valet takes your car somewhere. It is not revealed on the website but valet parking costs $28CAD/day. This is more expensive than other similar hotels in the area that have onsite parking. There is a public parking ramp just down the street that charges half that.

Bilingual staff is very friendly and helpful, refurbished rooms are well done -- very comfy beds including the sofa-bed if you need it, lots of electrical outlets to charge your toys, good lighting, free wifi throughout that works well. The on-site restaurant offers a good variety at very fair prices -- including a great breakfast buffet.

Pros: The Bonaventure is a rather unusual hotel, built in a very late 20th century modern style on the top 2 floors of an office/convention center building. Its rooms are laid out in a ring, surrounding a center lobby area with a bar and restaurant, year-round outdoor heated pool and hot tub, and a pond with ducks. Rooms are sleek and modern in a 1960-70s way, but comfortable and updated with firm beds and very nicely sized bathrooms. The rooms are very quiet, The ring layout means that there is minimal hallway noise and the hotel is high enough and with thick enough windows that there is almost no street noise (and many rooms face inner courtyards instead of the street). Staff and service are friendly and efficient, without being intrusive. Bonaventure isn't super-deluxe, but it is a welcoming, calming, and unique experience.
Cons: The only things I can think of is that the walk to the rooms can be a little long, due to the unusual layout and the fact that there are only 2 elevators between the street level and the lobby on the 10th floor. And guests should be aware that there will be short stairways between the lobby area and the hallways for the rooms. The drain in our tub was quite slow, but we let management know and they said the situation would be fixed before the next guest came. There is not a lot going on in the immediate area around the hotel, particularly at night (but there is a large train station across the street with multiple food options, including late fast food and a 24 hour Tim Horton's, and hotel is connected through convention center to underground passages and Metro station).

Pros: Unique experience superior location kind and helpful staff. Asked for a room with great view in quiet location and this was delivered. We arrived early and our bags were cared for and again the next day after checkout. It was an experience to swim and hottub on a roof top and see ducks swimming in a pond with large spruce trees outside while eating great breakfast buffet the next morning again on a roof top. Took someone special to Montreal for her 77th birthday and she was so impressed with our stay, the staff and the facilities that we have decided to make an annual event.

Pros: Our room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Although we had heard some concerns about night time noise, the hotel was quiet during our stay. The pool was lovely as ever, and a hot tub has been added since our last stay. The water temperature was just right in both pool and hot tub. Lockers for your clothes are free. The exercise room is nice. The duck pond was fun to watch.
Cons: A hotel the size of the Bonaventure could really use three hot tubs, especially since (unlike many hotels) the pool is so popular. We thought the hotel restaurants were a little expensive, although there are some reasonable dining options in the levels below Place Bonaventure. The carpeting in the hallways looks very worn, but on closer inspection, it's the pattern.

Pros: The hotel looked much nicer online . The room was clean and the location is just alright.
Cons: The noise was awful you can hear everything in the hall. I could even hear my neighbors phone ringing a ton. The AC units were extremely loud and the water pressure in the bathroom would drop making a hissing/squeaking noise after use. Another pet peeve is no fan in the bathroom and the doors have glass on them so when you turn the light on at night you could potentially be waking up your partner or anyone else with you. The parking garage underground is tight and super low, my Jeep Wrangler almost didn't make the height clearance. Wasn't impressed one bit by this hotel very over rated.

Cons: There were two big issues at check-in even though we had a confirmation email: they did not have us staying the full amount of time and they did not have our king bed. Wendy at the Libby check-in counter said she could not do anything since they were fully booked. We asked do a manger and she went to talk with him and came back with a miracle, she got us the right room and fixed the departure date. Amazing how a hotel can go from fully booked to rooms available, especially since we had a "club room with a kink bed", hmmmm The hope tel rooms are dated, the varnish is flaky king off the furniture and bathroom fixtures. The food is so-so for a hotel of this class... it was not worth the money.

Cons: A day prior to check in date,we stop to inquire about dropping baggage policy and was informed that we had an extra room reserved and Frederick (front desk) contacted Alexia of Kayak trying to cancel wrongly extra room.After their phone conversation,Frederick ASSURED me that the problem had been taken care of. There was another female employee that witness Frederick statement as well as my wife. next day, Saturday May 19, while checking in I was informed that the extra room reservation was NEVER cancelled. From the room I contacted by phone KAYAK representative CATHY whom showed extremely poor customer service,indifferent attitude and verbally aggressive tone. Being this my first Kayak experience I really expected better results from all involved. I expect your reply.

Pros: Affordable choice in downtown, and beds are very comfortable. Hotel staff called around for us on Easter Sunday to see which restaurants would be open before sending us out.
Cons: Normally I love the hot tub at this Sheraton. Unfortunately during our stay it was out of order, which is a huge bummer. Not that it will make or break a trip, but when you're deciding between a few hotels in the area at the same price point and allowed that to influence your decision a little, it's a letdown. Also, this is 2015 - who charges for WiFi?

Pros: This was a solid, no frills experience that matched what would be expected based on the price. It was helpful to have the kitchenette and the location is centrally located although the block itself has several parking lots so it feels desolate at night. The staff was helpful.

Cons: On the second night I saw a live cockroach on the bed's headboard. We had to kill it and after that we told the front desk and they did nothing. Didn't send someone to clean, or sent us to another room, nothing. And parking was $20 a night.

Pros: Staff upon arrival very friendly and bilingual. Room was clean and adequately sized. Not sure the queen bed is a queen, but it was comfortable. Location is close to everything if you don't mind walking a mile. Otherwise, metro station, which is where all lines meet, is a minute or two walk away.

Pros: Location, location, location. On a quiet side street in the heart of Montreal. 10 minute walk to the Vieux Port, adjacent to the Quartier Latin. Less than a block to the Metro and within easy walk to numerous excellent dining options. Hot breakfast included in the rate only further enhances the tremendous value represented by this hotel.
Cons: Rue Labelle is a very small street and difficult to locate on a map, if you are driving, i highly recommend printing directions in advance. It's also important to check your navigation software against reality as Labelle and many of the surrounding streets are one way.

Pros: The service was A+!! They were so speedy to help in any way possible. Super helpful and polite and quick to jump in for any need. They were fluent in French and English and always helped with a smile. We felt very welcomed and were greeted with a hello and goodbye each time we passed the front desk. The room was incredibly comfortable for the two of us up on the penthouse floor. We loved the bed and the view!
Cons: We had a room that connected to two other rooms. When we had single people connected to us, we couldn't hear them. When we had a family with kids next door, we heard them talking and laughing and screaming. The room was NOT soundproof with the connecting door. This did not hinder our ability to sleep, though, as everyone went quiet at night.

Pros: There is free coffee at the front desk and in the rooms. The rooms themselves were fairly decent with comfy beds, free wifi, and a mini fridge (empty, but useful for leftovers). The hotel also offers parking in their garage for about $22/day, where we left our car for the weekend, walking everywhere, except for 1 late night, round trip on the metro (too cold to walk all the way to the Plateau Mont Royal neighborhood of the city). There is a station just behind the hotel a bit.
Cons: This hotel worked for our stay for the weekend, located just on the edge of downtown Montreal, but my fiance and I agree that we will stay somewhere else next time. The "fitness center" is a small room with 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, 1 bench press machine, 2 abs stations, and 1 multi-station piece of equipment. There are some free weights, but some are missing. There is a water cooler and towels, but no sanitation cleaner or wipes and the room looks like it belongs in the basement of a shabby home. The lobby is not much to speak about either. You also are not allowed to check-in before their standard check-in time. They will not even look to see if the room is available (we arrived just after 2pm, but had to wait until 3pm to check-in).

The rate for garage is not $20/day as they say but ¢24.99, wich is in American currency is a bit more. I would give them 3 stars though. if you're not looking for nothing special and need a place that is close to everything - this is your hotel!

Our suite had s full living room, a dining room table, refrigerator/freezer combo, one and a half baths, and an incredible shower. Everything was newly renovated and gorgeous. It was also only a short walk to the Bell Centre and Old Montreal and a short cab ride to some fantastic restaurants.
