Pros: Brilliant location to explore West side of Hamburg, the harbour and of course the Reeperbahn - very close metro links nearby. Very nice room, clean and tidy. Large shower. Plenty of plug sockets and fridge in the room. Very helpful staff made check in and out a breeze.

Cons: Lighting was a little dim in the room, especially near the only full length mirror. Some small modernisations such as USB charging sockets maybe helpful - nothing major though.

Pros: That hotel is located very close to the main attractions in Hamburg downtown within a one minute walk to metro station. Desing is very modern, rooms are typically scnadinavian with bright wood. My room had big windows, Bed was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rate was very good, but i think it was because of January where not many people travelling. Breakfast had very good choice, but the choices had been ordinary, so nothing for people looking for something special for breakfast.

Cons: We were missing good bright overall lighting in the room, there were only some weak lightspots and floorlamps. Working and reading possible only at the desk, which is already full of travelers' belongings.

Cons: The price for parking ( 27 Euro ) was a rip off. Illumination in the lifts needs to get used to. Blue light like in a public toilet to make it impossible for junkeys to set their injection. That could be designed much better.

Cons: Despite having 4 elevators, they don't seem to operate in the most efficient manner. On top of that, people are not always using elevators in a smart or considerate manner. As result, one can expect some times to wait a few minutes to finally board the elevator.

Polite and discreet staff, without being annoying. The co-ordinated light fixtures in the room. The quality of the bedding. The bathroom with a double sink and the scales beneath, a mirror on the whole door, the magnifying make up mirror and floor heating at will. Umbrella and shoe spoon in the room. In the evening, the live piano in the lobby, sitting by the log fire- authentic wood, nonetheless. The displays of navigation utensils in the halls, consistent with the Atlantic theme of the hotel.

Pros: I have celiacs disease, they were really good at catering for this, a huge basket of gluten free breads, cereals and cakes turned up at breakfast and I was walked through which items on the buffet were gluten free, which included the nuremberger sausages.
Add to this that the service is truly 5*, not always the case in 5* hotels, the high ceilings in the rooms, the pool, gym, sauna, gf steak tartare for supper, the view of the Alster at breakfast, it really can't be improved on.
AND most importantly all of the staff, without exception, were friendly, helpful and went the extra distance to make sure you really felt looked after.

Cons: The WiFi was slowly and to pay a symbolic price of 3 euro per day for fast WiFi does not fit to 2020 anymore, but this seems to be a general problem in Germany, take a look at 5 star hotels in China, WiFi is fast and for free.

Cons: Funnily enough, our room- 445- included a pillar in a rather central position, something we never encountered in lower rated hotels... There was no panick button in the bathroom. Only two elevators for a hotel of this size, resulting in healthy walks to/from our room.

Cons: Hotel needs a lot of work and updating . Lobby carpeting very shabby and dirty. Rooms were not at all attractive and had a musty odor. I would give this hotel 3 Stars definitely this is not a 5 Star hotel.

Cons: We had to queue for breakfast on the first day for over 15 minutes and needed to ask 3 times for the breakfast from their extra menu. We had the feeling, that they had too few space and staff to cater for everyone, although the staff were friendly.

Pros: The Hotel is located close to the Hamburg main train station. The city center is in walking distance. The area, St. Georg, is very multicultural so that there are many convenient stores and different kind of restaurants open until late. The hotel service was very good and the staff polite. We arrived quite early so that we usually had to wait for check-in. But the receptionist just had a quick look at the computer and allocated us our room without additional fees. Furthermore, the beds are absolutely comfortable!

Cons: A Very argumentative waiter in the restaurant that took us “at school” because we complained about the main course. The food was not fresh and looked as if it had been waiting to be served. We send the food back and he was very mad. First we waited a long time for our entrees. When we finished our entrees the main course came after 30 seconds. The waiter kept on debating our choice - we gave up paid all most 200€ for this sad experience.

Cons: Expensive breakfast. The heating was switched off in the room when we arrived and we didn't realise until we arrived back in the room after being out in the cold for a number of hours. It took a while to get warm and then was too hot as its always difficult to regulated a heating system which you aren't familiar with. It would make sense to put the heating on at least at a low level in the middle of winter.

Cons: The hotel seems to be a fancy one, but the room was very poor. Also, during the night there was a lot of noise from something that we could not understand what it was. We complained on the next morning and the hotel said they would check, but on the next evening, the same noise happened again.

Cons: Limited number of servers at breakfast so most mornings getting coffee at the table was slow. Taxis needs to be ordered at the front desk. One morning I had to wait 30 minutes for taxi to arrive. This was not the hotel's fault but just more a caution that taxis do not circulate this area (unlike at other hotels I have stayed at where taxis are waiting outside). Limited English TV channels.

As I stayed for only one night with an early departure I didn't get to try the bar or breakfast but it looked nice. The Staff were very helpful. I had left an item in my room after check out and they allowed me to go back up and get it. If I had to mark down on one thing it would be the area. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk from the HBF (main) Train station however there is a U Bahn very close by.

Hotel was clean, 26 th floor wine bar not to be missed. Second tallest structure in the whole of Hamburg and can seen from the airport. 25 minutes from the airport by train.

Cons: I have stayed at the Radisson a few times over the past year for business. My main observation is that the service/quality has dropped. Check in was efficient and I was given a room on the same floor as the business class rooms and for a standard room it had a very nice view (20th floor). I recently became a VIP member of a frequent traveler program and it was only after I checked in and received an email from them asking if I had been informed about my VIP benefits that I realized that maybe my room assignment was partly because of that benefit and they had forgotten to inform me. However upon check out when I asked if my food and beverage had been discounted as per my membership benefits, I had to provide the email as “evidence”. On top of that the discount only applied to meals at the restaurant but not breakfast or minibar drinks. Other things to note: value for money is not as good. For example, many other hotels now have nespresso coffee machines as standard in their rooms. Here it only is available if you book a business class room. Rooms are clean but the bathrooms need upgrading. Breakfast used to have an egg station but that has now gone, although there is a good selection for breakfast items, it is expensive compared to other hotels in money vs selection. Finally there is a significant amount of construction around the area. During my previous stays, taxis were waiting outside the hotel during the mornings but now it seems like they only come through the area for drop off at the train station. I had to wait 20 minutes one morning to get a taxi from there.

Cons: The hotel was not a five star hotel by any standards, everything was old and worn and the airconditioning in the room was noisy, so noisy you could not sleep. The spa was not in use, and nothing was offered in stead. The furniture was from 1980 by the look of it. The coffee machine in the room was difficult to use.

Cons: The management of the hostel did some how managed during our stay to put some young British High School “Hooligans” on the same floor as my family consisting of 3 children and 2 adults. This ment that the 1. Floor was turned into a rave-party for the whole night - screeming and shouting. I welcome the Briexit for sure :-)

Cons: Can not change German culture regarding air conditioning- but since there was not one in the room,the only way for fresh air was to open the windows.
However, it is on a major street, and near a set of train tracks (in use), so it got generally pretty loud at times.
Additionally, there was at least one night that persons were smoking on the sidewalk...
