Cons: I didn't like that there were no wardrobe and flipflops, no body locion and no hair conditioner in bathrooms. No free water in rooms. 4 stars hotels, is it? These items could be, must be. It's easy, and in my mind if a hotel pretend to be eco-friendly, it shouldn't have plastic bags for laundry, these must be fabric ot made of recycled plastic.

Cons: I had emailed the hotel beforehand specifically making sure I would get a double bed (kingsized bed) but instead I got two single mattresses next to each other with two separate duvet covers. But when I mentioned it with check-out the gentleman settled it nicely with great professionalism. Thank you a friendly check-out! The buffet breakfast of 25€ was not up to high standards, no eggs benedict, the eggs counter closed/shut off their lights too early (11:27) while people were still queuing and the lady was very unfriendly. The Spa was way too crowded/small given the capacity of the hotel. Not relaxing at all and no place to lie down given to swim calmly in the pool. Bit disappointing for a 5* hotel.

Cons: Trying to confirm over the phone that a room witb bath has been booked took 2hr and I still had to write to the manager in order for the room to be confirmed

Cons: The bed was not very comfortable, there was no iron and ironing board in the room and it took us nearly a half hour to get one from reception after trying to call reception through the tablet (as there is no phone) and eventually having to walk to reception to get it. We were also asked to pay €17 for two bottles of water which an hour before this we were given one for free.

Pros: I have celiacs disease, they were really good at catering for this, a huge basket of gluten free breads, cereals and cakes turned up at breakfast and I was walked through which items on the buffet were gluten free, which included the nuremberger sausages.
Add to this that the service is truly 5*, not always the case in 5* hotels, the high ceilings in the rooms, the pool, gym, sauna, gf steak tartare for supper, the view of the Alster at breakfast, it really can't be improved on.
AND most importantly all of the staff, without exception, were friendly, helpful and went the extra distance to make sure you really felt looked after.

Cons: We had booked 2 rooms requesting connected doors. Though they did give us those rooms, one of the rooms 483 had a large wet spot on the carpet - soggy wet. The housekeeping and other staff pretended they knew nothing about it. Being a rainy weekend we didn’t want to stay in a wet room so asked to kindly change. We had just checked in so hadn’t used anything in that room. They offered us one room on another floor which we declined as wanted to stay together aS a family. On suggesting to be shifted to a suite they said the whole hotel was 100% booked including every room and every suite! More than anything the person who came to talk to us - after numerous phone calls - had attitude from and was bordering on rudeness. Needless to say all this caused us a lot of stress and we decided to go to Four Seasons next time

Cons: Hotel needs a lot of work and updating . Lobby carpeting very shabby and dirty. Rooms were not at all attractive and had a musty odor. I would give this hotel 3 Stars definitely this is not a 5 Star hotel.

Cons: First of all, my expectation after a long travel to Hamburg is a positive mood in welcoming. The lady in the desk that was making my check-in was very negative, posture, gesture, and the way of communicating was really rude. Her English is very poor. I don't like the attitude at all. I noticed the room phone isn't working, told her and she said it will be fixed by tomorrow. As a result, not fixed and no one informed me about it why and how and whatever. So if she can't welcome the guests, if she can't solve any problem, what does she do there? I asked her room with a view, it was also looking at some space, not to the road. I asked her slippers and iron, at least she made it. She was acting as if I should welcome her not as a guest but as an employee, really hard to understand this approach. Secondly, room doors have hydraulic, so you expect it to close itself, but it stays open somehow. Later I noticed that there is a warning written on the door to check if it is closed, really tricky and feels insecure.

Cons: Limited number of servers at breakfast so most mornings getting coffee at the table was slow. Taxis needs to be ordered at the front desk. One morning I had to wait 30 minutes for taxi to arrive. This was not the hotel's fault but just more a caution that taxis do not circulate this area (unlike at other hotels I have stayed at where taxis are waiting outside). Limited English TV channels.

Pros: The location of this hotel is close to the Planten un Blomen Park and if you are ok walking you can get to most of the downtown places within 15 to 30 minutes. Restaurant for evening meals is good.
Cons: I have stayed at the Radisson a few times over the past year for business. My main observation is that the service/quality has dropped. Check in was efficient and I was given a room on the same floor as the business class rooms and for a standard room it had a very nice view (20th floor). I recently became a VIP member of a frequent traveler program and it was only after I checked in and received an email from them asking if I had been informed about my VIP benefits that I realized that maybe my room assignment was partly because of that benefit and they had forgotten to inform me. However upon check out when I asked if my food and beverage had been discounted as per my membership benefits, I had to provide the email as “evidence”. On top of that the discount only applied to meals at the restaurant but not breakfast or minibar drinks. Other things to note: value for money is not as good. For example, many other hotels now have nespresso coffee machines as standard in their rooms. Here it only is available if you book a business class room. Rooms are clean but the bathrooms need upgrading. Breakfast used to have an egg station but that has now gone, although there is a good selection for breakfast items, it is expensive compared to other hotels in money vs selection. Finally there is a significant amount of construction around the area. During my previous stays, taxis were waiting outside the hotel during the mornings but now it seems like they only come through the area for drop off at the train station. I had to wait 20 minutes one morning to get a taxi from there.

Cons: The wait at reception to check in and out was long. About 6 desks but only 1 person who was working. Long queues of guests. For the price paid we should have stayed closer to the shopping district.

Cons: The stay was overall fabulous BUT the check-in was not good. Whilst I waited patiently for 15 minutes to be checked in, when I got to the front of the line, Ms Alexandra H told me to step aside and wait until she cleared the customers checking out. I reminded her that I had been travelling for almost 30 hours and would really like my room. She was reluctant and rude but did check me in. Otherwise, the hotel was great, clean, quiet and when I ordered room service, the food was delicious and staff very, very nice.

Cons: English TV limited to CNN, Bloomberg, and BBC...other stations in German could not even be close captioned in English. Breakfast at hotel was expensive at 18 euros but may not be bad if you consider it a brunch.

Cons: The floor isn't straight, which is a bit confusing. I personally did not like the shower, due to the fact that the shower head is fixed too high and the temperature isn't steady. The tv is too small. Each guest should get a set of towels, not one set for a double room.
