Super exciting architecture, v clean and extraordinary rooms with v comfy beds, a great bar, amazing restaurant (you should also try their restaurant coast if you love Asian cuisine- they have the most fresh, high quality food, and always offer veggie&vegan options

Cons: I stayed in the 8th floor, the elevators just go to floor 7 and you have to walk a stair every time you leave your room. Cleanliness was ok but one carpet in the room was not totally clean.

Cons: In Berlin’s Scandic my fridge contained soft drinks and beer included in the room price. In Hamburg i just had water on the first night. I expected the water on the second night ad well. It would have been nice to have a pair of slippers. The floor wasn’t cleaned well.

Cons: Got a family room that seemed also to be used for disabled visitors and visitors with dogs. Not crazy about staying in a rooms where dogs have been (2 bowls on the floor) not beeing a dog person myself, but it was a big room. The room was in the corner of the building with window/view directly to the neighboring room, so we had to have the curtains closed at all times.

Cons: Would have liked a few more complimentary essentials. We had to stay unexpectedly because of a storm so didn't have any toothbrushes/toothpaste with us. Considering the price of the hotel it would have been nice for these to have been complimentary, even if we had to collect from reception. There were also no robes or slippers left when we asked, which were supposed to be complimentary. Would have preferred the bathroom light to have been brighter.

Pros: I have celiacs disease, they were really good at catering for this, a huge basket of gluten free breads, cereals and cakes turned up at breakfast and I was walked through which items on the buffet were gluten free, which included the nuremberger sausages.
Add to this that the service is truly 5*, not always the case in 5* hotels, the high ceilings in the rooms, the pool, gym, sauna, gf steak tartare for supper, the view of the Alster at breakfast, it really can't be improved on.
AND most importantly all of the staff, without exception, were friendly, helpful and went the extra distance to make sure you really felt looked after.

Pros: I'm traveling a lot for work worldwide but this was the most stunning hotel at all! The hotel is completely new and very modern. It was an old tower with a cave in it and they built a hotel inside the tower. Very quiet and relaxing. When you enter the hotel, they built like an underwater, under the ocean entrance with fish and water sound, all blue with automatic stairs leading you to the reception. Incredible experience!!! The hotel has a cave restaurant and bar, a beautiful fitness studio and sauna for free. The breakfast is exceptional!! Many different kinds of bread, fish, sausages, warm and cold vegetables, fish, pancakes, fruits, fruit salad, many yogurts, cerials. A beautiful capuccino machine. Everything you can think of you will find for breakfast.

Cons: Limited number of servers at breakfast so most mornings getting coffee at the table was slow. Taxis needs to be ordered at the front desk. One morning I had to wait 30 minutes for taxi to arrive. This was not the hotel's fault but just more a caution that taxis do not circulate this area (unlike at other hotels I have stayed at where taxis are waiting outside). Limited English TV channels.

Cons: The hotel seems to be a fancy one, but the room was very poor. Also, during the night there was a lot of noise from something that we could not understand what it was. We complained on the next morning and the hotel said they would check, but on the next evening, the same noise happened again.

Cons: I have stayed at the Radisson a few times over the past year for business. My main observation is that the service/quality has dropped. Check in was efficient and I was given a room on the same floor as the business class rooms and for a standard room it had a very nice view (20th floor). I recently became a VIP member of a frequent traveler program and it was only after I checked in and received an email from them asking if I had been informed about my VIP benefits that I realized that maybe my room assignment was partly because of that benefit and they had forgotten to inform me. However upon check out when I asked if my food and beverage had been discounted as per my membership benefits, I had to provide the email as “evidence”. On top of that the discount only applied to meals at the restaurant but not breakfast or minibar drinks. Other things to note: value for money is not as good. For example, many other hotels now have nespresso coffee machines as standard in their rooms. Here it only is available if you book a business class room. Rooms are clean but the bathrooms need upgrading. Breakfast used to have an egg station but that has now gone, although there is a good selection for breakfast items, it is expensive compared to other hotels in money vs selection. Finally there is a significant amount of construction around the area. During my previous stays, taxis were waiting outside the hotel during the mornings but now it seems like they only come through the area for drop off at the train station. I had to wait 20 minutes one morning to get a taxi from there.

Cons: English TV limited to CNN, Bloomberg, and BBC...other stations in German could not even be close captioned in English. Breakfast at hotel was expensive at 18 euros but may not be bad if you consider it a brunch.

Cons: The hotel is close to a busy street and you could hear noise from outside most of the time. A bit expensive if you count that in. A few years back I was staying overnight at a hostel on Reeperbahnstrasse and the sound isolation was much better than here at NH despite way more potential noise coming from outside.

Cons: The hotel is undergoing works, but, as I have been going there for 5 years I understood before I arrived. The works did not affect me but I was not trying to lie in until 10.00..... Dont let it dissuade you - the staff have always been great, late night arrivals to 0500 departures....

Cons: You'd think a hotel of your calibre has an iron in every room. When travelling for work, I am always in a hurry and I would have loved to iron my shirt before heading out to a client meeting. I wanted to use the phone to call housekeeping but both phones were not working. I had to go downstairs and ask for it, go back up and wait. The iron arrived 30 min later when I was about to leave.
