Travelers with an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card/booklet and travelers with a Person of Indian Origin (PIO)card are eligible to enter the country, as are their minor children and spouses, or students attending an Indian institution, if one of the parents is a national of India or OCI / PIO card holder.
Travelers may transit through India from a neighboring country if traveling via India to their country of residence.
Visitors from South Africa must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departing to India.
Passengers arriving from Afghanistan, Bahrain, France, Germany, Iraq, Kuwait, Netherlands, Oman, Qatar, Russian Fed., Ukraine and United Arab Emirates are subject to a Covid-19 molecular test upon arrival at their own expense.
Passengers arriving from Brazil, South Africa or United Kingdom are also subject to a Covid-19 molecular test upon arrival and another test on day 7 at their own expense.
Visitors from South Africa will need to quarantine for 14 days upon entering India.
Anyone arriving to India will be required to go into 7 days quarantine at an institution at their own cost, followed by 7 days self-quarantine.
This requirement can be removed if presenting a negative RT-PCR test, no older than 72 hours. But all arrivals from the UK, South Africa, and Brazil must quarantine for 7 days, regardless of testing.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.
Travelers who display any COVID-19–related symptoms must be tested on arrival. In the event that the result of the COVID-19 test is positive, they will be required to quarantine for 10 days. The cost of testing and quarantine will be on the travelers' expense.
Most foreign visitors from South Africa will not be allowed to enter India. Please check the official guidelines from India for permitted groups and exceptions to the entry restrictions.
Fully vaccinated visitors from South Africa will not be allowed to enter India.
Unvaccinated visitors from South Africa will not be allowed to enter India.
Mask usage in India is required in public spaces.
