Travelers are subject to a mandatory 2 COVID-19 testing, a TDR rapid test and a PCR test upon arrival at the Cotonou Cadjehoun Airport. The fee for testing is 50,000 CFA each direction and includes all arrival three tests.
All travelers who stay in Benin longer than 15 days must undergo a third COVID-19 test. The test can be performed at the Palais des congrès in Cotonou or at routine screening sites throughout the country.
Visitors from South Africa are not required to quarantine after entering Benin.

Most foreign visitors from South Africa will not be allowed to enter Benin. Please check the official guidelines from Benin for permitted groups and exceptions to the entry restrictions.
Fully vaccinated visitors from South Africa can enter Benin without restrictions.
Unvaccinated visitors from South Africa will not be allowed to enter Benin.
Mask usage in Benin is required in public spaces.
