Cons: The mattress is not comfortable... too soft and lack of support. We have two rooms both with two twin beds. All four of us had back pain after each night of sleep. And the twin mattress top would slide easily and becomes unsupported from the base. I almost fell off the bed! Definitely needs to improve the quality of the mattresses!!!

Cons: The bathroom was badly arranged. It was a disabled-accessible room, which I hadn't expected, so it was annoying for that reason, but even if I were disabled, there was no surface within reach of the shower to put shampoo, soap, etc. while I was under it.

Cons: Tiny and dark room. Beware: my first room was to the "party courtyard", which is noisy until late. The front desk staff kindly moved me straight on the first day, so I had a quiet (but still tiny) room. The hotel is nice but probably best to get a big suite.

Pros: High ceil, beautifully decorated room: fabulous bath and shower, hardwood floors, large and airy. Luxurious Duxiana bedding and linens. Hotel breakfast was terrific with many options. Located on a major street in Stockholm, the Diplomat is a short walk from everything. I will definitely stay here again. I don't know what room another traveler got that was tiny -- but my room was huge.

Pros: The facilities are new and the room is clean. Location is great, can get to Gamla Stan, Åhléns city, city hall etc easily within 20mins walk. Easily to get to the metro station and tram station. Wise choice if you do not wish to spend many time on transportation.

Pros: The hotel was located at the center of the city and easily travel from the airport by Arlanda Express. We arrived early in the morning and the staff was very kind as she can provide the room for us right away. We definitely stay here again if we come to Stockholm.

It has 3 elevators which makes it easier to get to the rooms in higher floors fast. A lovely fire place in the lobby. Staff were very helpful when we had an emergency on our fifth day there.

Cons: The bedroom of the junior suite had no window at all, just a curtain covering the wall! We were feeling cold, but there is a central heating system at which the room temperature is not adjustable. Hopefully, the staff provided us with two small radiators. The bed was not comfortable. I wouldn't call this a 4 star hotel.

Cons: 1. When arrived they asked for a credit card to confirm reserve the payment but it was in the end of month and my credit wasn't enough at the time for the whole time of our stay so asked them to either use my credit card info from the booking on website or charge my credit card when we check out and have enough credit by then but they said for some law it's not possible, then offered them to pay by a debit card but at first they said they can't accept debit card for this; but eventually they did and had to pay the full amount in advance with debit card which is not an experience you'd expect from such a hotel. 2.The first morning we woke up with a construction noises from a different level which we were not told about and was not a really nice experience, when told receptionist they told me the construction wpuld continue for another morning so they changed the room with one in the other wing of the building, which seemed a bit less equipped and a bit smaller than or original room. 3. They didn't put an ashtray outside of hotel main door for smokers or a smoking area eaither inside or outside for that matter!

Cons: Breakfast was supposed to be included, although every morning, the person who lets you into breakfast would tell us we had to pay extra. I would say every morning that no we already cleared this up, breakfast was included and they would look again and say "oh yes, you're right". then we we checked out they told us we had incurred fees for having breakfast every morning and we had to again show them that breakfast was included. We stayed for 4 nights. Also, the location is goo but not great. about a 10 minute drive from everything we wanted to do.

Cons: We were surprised by the question if our room needed to be cleaned every day (we stayed 3 nights) - it's precisely a nice thing in hotels that the bed is made up and bins emptied. In our 3-nights stay towels were not renewed

Missed having a kitchen - that is the whole point of a hostel surely - that you can make your own food.

Really good value for money and it was within walking distance to everything we wanted to visit. The Arlanda Express was also a 5 minute walk down the road which was very handy. Cons: Stay was fine. But don’t be conned by the hotel photos and description. The rooftop pool and spa are run by a separate company. So you have to pay extra if you want access. SEK 250 for adults and 100 for kids. Given that the pool was the major reason we chose this hotel we feel others should know before booking and making the same mistake.

Pros: A very comfortable stay. The facilities were great, the gym had lots of equipment and the breakfast was amazing. Fred was particularly friendly and made delicious omelettes. Really good value for money and it was within walking distance to everything we wanted to visit. The Arlanda Express was also a 5 minute walk down the road which was very handy. Would definitely stay here again!

Cons: Even though the hotel is very clean, the décor looks run-down and antiquated. The "single superior" room is quite small, and mine smelled of leaking gas from the radiator heater. The hotel is rather far from the city hub, but there are some hip little nooks and crannies in the surrounding districts. You just need to be adventurous enough to explore the area by foot.

Pros: Location to downtown is fantastic. This was the main draw when traveling with a kid. Size of room was good but layout wasn't great. Mixed bag with some of the staff but generally helpful. More sensitive travelers may be unhappy or upset with staff in terms of courteous language. Direct which is easy for me to get past and over.

Cons: Staff not too friendly but direct. Loud construction noise in room from 10am until 430pm. Hotel is mid renovation. Calls to front desk was met with a cold... there nothing that I can do. There's always something you can do to make your guests less upset. Hotel should be upfront with information and knowledge about the construction. A business traveler who is out of the room during the day would be less upset than we would be. We weren't too upset because our child didn't wake up but if he did we may very well be as we are jet lagged and the child needed to sleep. But notice would have allowed some possibility of planning.
You may get an older room from the 80s. Carpets were dirty and worn in our room. The room decor color scheme did not age well.

Some people in the reviews complained about the chaos at breakfast but we didn't feel that way at all...there were staff who will lead you to tables and there's lots of space in the breakfast area so you will never have an issue finding a seat. The rooms were nicely furnished. Parts showed signs of wear but it was still very comfortable, showers were nice and hot. Toiletries provided (shampoo and shower gel) were good quality. Unfortunately they dont provide toothbrushes / toothpaste / slippers unless you occupy a more expensive room ): felt like that was quite calculative of them since it's just a small thing to throw in that will increase our comfort. The bathroom seat had no space to set and to top it all the shower sink was placed at the highest level of the ground converting taking a shower like swimming in a pool. Pros: very close to Central Station and few steps away from Arlanda Express! everything is excellent from wifi to breakfast buffet (so many food choices!) They house the famous IceBar and the staff are all amazing and friendly. If you have an early flight, they also provide simple breakfast. I will surely stay there again when Im back in town.

Cons: I booked a room without window, so I knew that before I got there. However, I was surprised by the very small size of the room (approx. 2x3 m + a small bathroom). However, I can recommend you take a room without window if you don't spend too much time in it (it might get a bit claustrophobic if you spend too much time in it). Pros: very close to Central Station and few steps away from Arlanda Express! everything is excellent from wifi to breakfast buffet (so many food choices!) They house the famous IceBar and the staff are all amazing and friendly. If you have an early flight, they also provide simple breakfast. I will surely stay there again when Im back in town.
Cons: my paid booking in booking.com did not sync in their system so they had to manually register us which took quite a while, plus the receptionist did only for 2 nights instead of 3 causing our access cards to stop working on Day 2. Not a huge convenience though

Cons: The only disadvantage is the fact that we haven't had a window in our room, there was one window to the first floor, but no window to the city itself.

Cons: I’m aware they’re undergoing renovations which are really needed because the rooms are very dated. Also, there wasn’t much space in my room to be able to walk around the bed and not much room for my suitcase. I know that I could have got a bigger room, but every room should be able to fit a suitcase comfortably. No outlets next to the bed so you have to charge your device on the other side of the room (assuming this will be fixed in the renovations). Unfortunately I had to ask on two separate occasions for my room to be cleaned (they don’t clean the rooms every day unless you request it). It doesn’t seem like the staff communicate effectively with each other, but it was resolved in the end.
