Cons: Oh hotel gotham... those drinks prices! Its expensive! Two cocktails and a bowl of crisps came to over thirty pounds! They were lovely, but you would expect them to be for that price!!

Pros: The facilities, the location, and the luxury are all fantastic - exactly what I wanted for our anniversary.
Cons: Unfortunately, within the club bar area, both our pre and post evening meal visit, we encountered a group of other residents who clearly did not understand the ethics and the values of the Hotel. This will be an issue I will be taking forward with the Hotel directly and is not for the visibility / communication of this page.

Cons: We booked a suit got there realized it was small, stayed 2 nights and took an extra room.Day 3 we booked a two bedroom suit which really isn't it's just them bringing two rooms together. We were shown a suit with a balcony & since my artist is super claustrophobic and has a lot of luggage we agreed to that.Upon going to pay they claimed someone booked that particular room for 2 nights and we booked it right with them less than an hr ago for 3 nights. These super racist hotel people just because the person was black almost even lied they never showed us the room.We left the hotel and booked a huge 3 bedroom penthouse suit somewhere else.Mind u we had no issues we these people we just decided to leave after realizing it was more of a racist thing, I forgot to mention their services suck, they barely help with anything like umbrellas and opening doors smh we never even had a conversation with any one except the manager the day we left but go this email today claiming we were rude to their guests.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room perfectly comfortable, bed comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was a disappointment, room overcrowded difficult squeezing past chairs. A la carte poor choice. Crockery not removed from table , I had teapot used cup used buffet plate side plate on small table trying to drink coffee. No cutlery on display or side plates for coisannts.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance of the hotel created by the brand but also the staff - couldn't fault. We had a really relaxing evening and enjoyed the spa facilities before breakfast. We will definitely stay again and have recommended to friends and family. Thank you all and really well done :)
Cons: I feel the breakfast didn't quite match my expectations and wasn't what I would rate as outstanding. There was only scrambled eggs available on the buffet, although there was an additional menu but neither of us had our glasses - our fault. I expected there to be sparkling wine to make a mimosa and thought there was basic hot choices. It was however adequate and absolutely no complaints as the quality was excellent.

Cons: The employees are so rude they promised to let me check in earlier but they wouldn’t unless I pay more for upgrades, the key must be recharged every day, and they forgot to clean the room

Pros: We stayed at this hotel just for two nights as we were attending a family event. We chose it for proximity and a treat. Shame the weather was so wet during the half-term as we couldn't make the most of the grounds. Beds were pretty comfy and the breakfast was good - had a good range of options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We packed swimming gear but didn't get a chance to swim - but it was definitely one of things that attracted us. Food-wise, we only had breakfast there, as we ate out both nights. The Worsley Old Hall pub was just a stone's throw away with lovely food and ambience. It was a great Marriott hotel with a touch of luxury.

Pros: Fast, tasty room service. Staff were professional.
Cons: Radiators in room were on, on hottest day of the year the staff could have done more to turn it off. Construction happening outside room from early morning so could not open window either, no transfer offered. The room was nowhere near a 'deluxe' room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I visit Manchester once a month for business and this is the best hotel I have stayed in. The staff, bedroom facilities and architecture of the building are outstanding, in London I stay at Clarides or the Connaught and the Principal should rate in the same bracket. J. De Wan

Pros: Excellent location
Cons: We stated two days and our room never got cleaned even though we rang down to say it needed cleaning, also our refreshments werent filled up kept having to ring down for extra things
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The whole opulence of the hotel. It was my birthday as well which made it very memorable.
Cons: The only minor downside was that on the Sunday when we wanted to eat in the restaurant we were told it was the Sunday lunch menu and we didn't particularly want a Sunday roast that late before going out.

Pros: Room lovely and spacious. Nice products. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful building. Delicious breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fell in love with this hotel from the moment we stepped through the doors. We were given a lovely quiet room where we barely heard anything from outside.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: This is a stunning building where most of the original features have been retained. The bar and restaurant is funky and modern yet in the most incongruous Victorian environment. Room was very high ceilinged and immaculately furnished and comedy and clean.
Cons: Downsides were no air con a bit cold and the place is a rabbit warren (though they do give you a map)
5,0 Okay
Pros: We loved the common areas: reception, restaurant and bar. Very lively and nice.
Cons: Be aware that if you book a urban bedroom, you are in the basement with very little day light. It is small and creepy. The corridors in the basement look like you are in the backstage of the hotel. It would be good to have more information about what they mean by "urban" bedroom!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: excellent full English in a great location beneth the glass atrium roof. Nic3 change from crowded, sweaty breakfast bars in chain hotels.

5,7 Okay
Pros: The double tree is a nice hotel at first glance. I found the staff at the front desk were not the most welcoming but that wasn't the biggest problem. The room was comfortable for the most part and me and my companion were looking foward to a nice stay.
Cons: The shower had two choices, freeze or burn. It was nearly impossible to get the shower at a normal temperature which was a huge issue. But we were only there for 2 nights so decided it would be better to give it another try than moving rooms. On our second night which was a Saturday we were awoken at 4 am by a group of drunk girls that were screaming down the hallway. I felt like I was transported to the worst spring break all inclusive. I called the reception 3 times and in all fairness they came up every time to get those stupid girls to shut up. Then their guy friends came from the party minutes later and started retaliating to help their skanky girlfriends. They were standing outside of our door yelling obscenities. I called again and eventually the noise stopped but at that point I had one more hour before having to get on a train to the airport so my entire night was ruined. While they were definitely responsive to the times I called they should have kicked these people out. What kind of reputation do you want to have? I know that on my next visit to Manchester staying at the double tree and staying at the hatters is pretty much the same. If you want to maintain an upscale reputation then be more selective about who you let stay in you hotel or at the very least have your front staff make the rules clear when these drunken idiots tumble in through the door of your hotel.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location for our trip to an event in Oldham. Easy access over moors to Colne Valley too. Very quiet room despite Saturday evening in a very busy popular pub. So busy that we didn’t get a table for dinner. Our fault. Should have thought to pre book. Well appointed room if a little on the small side and very warm on arrival sorted easily by turning down the thermostat ourselves, of course. Good shower. Very welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast with great service. Great airy comfy lounge area if required for guest use.
7,5 Good
Pros: Great staff, very helpful organising our taxi pickup. Very comfortable bed although the room was over warm. Breakfast a little disappointing!
Cons: Bar area over cramped, not enough seating or standing room! maybe serve food in the restaurant only to alleviate some tables!
