Pros: We stayed in a family room at the Kingsmill for 1 night in July with our 4-year old and mother-in-law. It was the perfect size with a large bed and 2 bunk beds. Bathroom also had a shower and bathtub, great for the little ones. Staff was super friendly and breakfast delicious. Great choice!

Pros: You can walk to the downtown area in about 10 minutes thru a nice neighborhood. The rooms are nice and large, and they do provide a fan should it be hot. Beds very comfy. Quiet location. They have a pool/spa area with sauna, odd jacuzzi that was a bit cool.
Cons: I’m not a fan of old British decor, which you get in spades here, but I can put up with floral carpets, heavy furniture, etc. It’s all part of the UK. The actual facilities are quite well-maintained, parking is good, overall I would recommend and stay here again.

Pros: Location was fine, parking was easy. Breakfast selection and staff were great.
Cons: Being placed outside the lift with a door which made a terrible banging noise each time it opened. That the kitchen extractor fans were outside my window. That the water pressure meant that the shower was like a dribble.

Pros: The free intent was the only plus. Oh, and the cute little shampoo and soap that is provided.
Cons: The location was awful. There's a "gentleman's club" three doors down and in the evening the hotel bar was full of creepy men waiting for the club to open. The bar plays club music at night and you could hear and feel it in our first floor room. There were drunk people outside in the early morning yelling and screaming and could be heard at all hours. The room was sparse with a worn out single couch and bedding that was flat with no cushion. The bed was low and kind of annoying to get in and out of. There were broken parts of the tempered glass bathroom walls and the shower was leaky so the water pressure was low. There was no carpet in the room but the carpet in the hall and stairway smelled awful like smoke and who knows what else. The lounge downstairs looked like a strip club atmosphere, too, and the drinks were way over priced. Breakfast was expensive, too so we just walked down the street to get a good breakfast at Rendezvous Cafe for a fraction of what the hotel was charging. This was our last leg in our trip and we were too tired to try and get a room somewhere else, abs since we didn't spend much time in the room anyway we just stayed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Cons: There was no car park, so when arriving we had to carry bags 4 blocks. The reception is part of the bar so you are greeted with loud throbbing music. The hot water in the shower varied so you had to be ready to move when the blast of pure hot water came through

Pros: Great buffet breakfast. Roomy rooms. Located not too far from a bus stop, so easy to get places. We stayed here 4 years ago, and liked it.
Cons: Would be nice if they had transportation to/from train/bus stations, but getting there via the city bus is not too difficult (as long as a bus driver doesn't mislead you as to when your next bus really is). It was our most expensive room on the trip.

Pros: The staff -- front desk/manager -- was very helpful. Our room was uncomfortably hot, and although she was unable to move us the first night as there were no available rooms, she provided us with a fan and ice to help cool the room and a sheet to use rather than the duvet. The second night, she was able to move us to a much larger room on second floor which was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a good variety of choices. Since we traveled by train, the location of the hotel was very convenient.
Cons: We were in Inverness during a heat wave. The first night (of two nights) we were in a small room on the top floor. Since there was no air conditioning and no breeze, it was uncomfortably hot, preventing us from sleeping. Some of the furniture and the carpet in the larger room we stayed in the second night was a bit worn and could use a bit of updating

Cons: I was on the first floor and the noise from traffic outside on the main road was terrible, with the windows constantly shaking loudly. The windows aren't double-glazed and even passing drunks shouting and swearing sounded like they were in my room. Walls between rooms are also paper thin and the room shook every time the guest next door closed their room door. To be fair, my colleague was on the top floor and had a totally different experience, but unfortunately I won't be staying there again.

Pros: The entrance and common areas were beautiful, room was delightful, spacious and clean. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was perfect! Great location. Two blocks from everything important. Make sure you visit Hootinanny's a couple blocks away. They had amazing live music for tourists and locals alike.
Cons: The hotel is located practically at the train station. There was limited parking and constant traffic (vehicle and pedestrians).

Cons: The property is in a great downtown location. Unfortunately the hotel is in desperate need of a facelift as the hallways and rooms were worn down. Property also caters to Tour bus groups.

Pros: I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights,When i arrived i booked in(earlier than expected as room was ready).I was given complimentey upgrade to the new Privilege Room! Wow such a lovely room.Would definitely recommend this room for couples.Also the young gentelman at the reception gave me an ice bucket and 2 chanpagne glasses for free to take to my room.Staff very nice.Great weekend for all.
