Pros: It's connected to the Old Chicago, which makes it easy to get a meal.
Cons: Very small continental breakfast included, which was average. Can hear room to room easy. We could hear the person snoring all night in the room next to us. Room smelled musty. Tried calling front deak- phone didn't work, they couldn't hear me on the line
10,0 Excellent

Pros: Continental breakfast is important to us as we like to get up, eat, and take off for the day. The breakfast here is outstanding!!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nicest property we stayed at during our vacation
Cons: The property is spread out, the guy at the front desk didn't give any help in how to find our room, when asked where the elevator was he just pointed .
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great.
Cons: Cory, the gentleman that check is in was not very pleasant. A little hateful to be honest. As a business owner, you should always be friendly. If you can't take care of a customer in a friendly matter. Then don't be out front.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Super spacious room Great breakfast
Cons: Elevator small for luggage cart
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bathroom.
Cons: Did not dislike anything
7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Everything was hot and fresh both days we were there.
Cons: Actually, the bed pillows. personal preference, of course, but usually take my own anyway, and did not this time. I know there is nothing that can be done, but the pool occupants could be a little more courteous in the later evening with the rowdiness which echoes. There was also a family that totally took over the hot tub and no one else could use it. They were in there for over 2 hours, which is not a good thing health-wise, but also just being selfish.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The beds were really nice. Comfortable. The rooms were nice. Fridge and microwave. We generally like the place a lot. Plenty of room in pool area for get togethers. You can play table tennis or pool. Lots to do.
Cons: The pool area was rough on your feet but water shoes would work.

Pros: It was nice
Cons: Cigarette smoke shower head sucked
4,2 Okay
Pros: skipped breaKFAST
Cons: tHE ROOM WAS NOT WHAT I ORDERED. i WANTED A ROOM WITH shOWER chair. I am handicapped. I wanted a room next to the elevator,. The desk person, very attentive young lady, used and the browwed wheelchair that belonged to the Q Casino to get me to my room. The room had dust around the lights between the beds. The beds were two queens. They mattresses were high off the floor and you had to jump backward to get up on the bed. The beds had a 4ft area that was sable and the outside area of the mattress was very soft and you would roll of. we had a few bottles of Coke diet and put them in the fridge., I froze them over night. The cabinet used to dress up the fridge is completely enclosed which closes air from circulating. Maybe the causes the fridge from cooling accurately.,

Cons: Clean, comfy and quiet stay! Weekend rates are a bit high.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Same menu for Saturday and Sunday, It was fine we had choices
Cons: NA
5,0 Okay
Cons: Staff was not very friendly. When checking in the front desk was short, abrupt, and not at all welcoming. When checking out the front desk was more friendly but took a while for her to notice I was there.
6,7 Good
Pros: Very comfortable
Cons: Like almost every property I’ve stayed in across America, the A/C smells bad and is really in need of cleaning. Shame on maintenance for not doing their job and AT LEAST keeping the filters clean. I soaked mine in the tub as you couldn’t really see the filter for the dust/dirt that had accumulated. And the vent cover was almost as bad... good thing I travel with Q-tips. Otherwise I thought it was a good value for the price.
6,3 Good
Pros: Good variety of items on the breakfast line. Easy to find
Cons: Asked for assistance with the tv remote as we could not access the channels and no.assistance was provided.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: cleanliness and friendliness of the Staff!! Rooms were at a comfortable level of cool/heat. The Beds were super soft ! The Water pressure in the bathroom was awesome, the sinks drained great ( that is usually a problem at the places we stay at , that they do not drain very good in the sink and bath tub ), the noise level from room to room was awesome, with that I mean the walls were thick enough and I did not hear the neighbor flush his/her toilet !!
Cons: there was nothing, I did not like. We even made it to Breakfast and it was all nice and Hot and Clean and enough there for everyone. The Breakfast room was pretty full and the Staff made sure they filled up all the items right away before they got empty !
8,0 Excellent
Cons: tub was very slow draining and would be ankle deep in water by end of shower
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet and comfortable Clean room... EXCELLENT BREAKFAST!!!.. . And very friendly morning kitchen staff
Cons: The ONLY thing that wasn't excellent was the desk clerk when I checked in... She acted like I was testing her patience when I asked her about getting a receipt and she responded that I'd have to get that from the 3rd party booking agent. She may have been the one who I spoke to on the phone Saturday the 7th when I was inquiring about booking...she also wasn't the most helpful. That's when I booked with booking.com. But when I checked out they very kindly obliged me with my request
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast was exceptional!
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast could have been better.
Cons: Na
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a pleasant experience for the cost of our stay. The bed was nice enough, bathroom amenities were good, tv was good, room was comfortable, clean, decent breakfast options, fair price. Option of indoor pool, fitness room.
Cons: Attempting to use our room key to enter the building was successful the first time, not the second. Someone snoring in another room woke me up a couple of times. Room noises could be heard. All breakfast options weren't ready to serve at breakfast start.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Only disappointment was we were looking for a hotel with a hot tub and it had one but once we got there it was not working.

6,7 Good
Cons: Our bathroom was a little dirty when we first checked in but that's okay we just cleaned it ourselves with some Clorox wipes
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful. Had to stay a night with my 6 week old and everyone was so helpful in helping me get into my room and get all my stuff back out to my car.
6,3 Good
Pros: I liked the breakfast. A very nice variety, staff in the dining room are very helpful, kind, and pleasant. Your staff is excellent, and efficient.
Cons: There were no cookies this time. Need better lighting in the rooms(I've stayed in many), and better lighting in bathrooms. When 2 people reserve a room, they should get a bathroom that has 2 sinks.bove. Also, neither of our keys worked. Seems these should be checked before giving a key to guests.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Decent breakfast. Coffee always available.
Cons: Smell of chlorine from pool.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Historic, and full of character Easy to walk to the trolley and bars and restaurants
10,0 Excellent
Pros: everything was fantastic, we really enjoyed ourselves. the redstone inn very quiet and cozy place.
Cons: parking
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff (owners) were very nice. The bed was comfortable. The room and bath were clean. The house is very beautiful.
Cons: The main thing we had issues with was the internet TV. It was buffering every 2 seconds. (Really) But after 2am, if was fine. We were very very DISAPPOINTED!!!
4,0 Okay
Pros: The innkeeper was amazing - so nice, so attentive.
Cons: However, the room was a bit dirty - dust along baseboards, spiderwebs on frame in bathroom, wallpaper falling off walls and sometimes held up with multi-colored thumbtacks. Rugs and furniture were worn. Towels were pink. The heater was ridiculously loud.
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was great, but parking was a problem. We learned later that the lack of parking/charge for parking was due to a city ordinance and not the fault of the Inn owners. We didn't mind parking across the street, but I didn't want to go out and pay for parking before 8 am on a Saturday when the enforcement went into effect.
Cons: The historical house was beautiful, quiet, and full of interested things, but in our room, the curtains looked dirty, mismatched and were tied up with random pieces of yarn. There was only one choice for breakfast which was an egg dish served on an English muffin. I love eggs and thought it was delicious; however I am gluten intolerant and cannot eat bread. My husband does not like eggs and could not eat the breakfast at all. We were not asked if we had any dietary restrictions or preferences prior to being served. There was dry cereal as an alternative, but no milk to put on it. On the positive side, there were a variety of juices, fresh fruit, yogurt and store bought mini muffins available.
9,2 Excellent
Cons: A bit of black mold in the bathroom.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The building is beautiful and the host was very kind. It had everything we needed and was gorgeous.
Cons: It was fine except for the parking.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room. Very good breakfast. Great historical story by Robert!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were wonderful. Definitively go back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Robert the owner was very courgal and gave a very good history of the Redstone Inn and Debuque. Really enjoyed it.
Cons: The TV set up was very difficult to use
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The mansion is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Our room was smallish but quite comfortable and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.
Cons: We did not get to hear the full history of the property. Also, I'm sure it is a daunting task to keep up with maintenance, but the wallpaper was peeling in our room and I don't believe it was period. I know this is picky, but that's how my "artistic" side works!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Rice for breakfast was a special surprise.

Cons: The kitchen area was filthy; showed age and abuse as well. Staff was not at front desk; didn't answer after dialing for assistance. Also not present during breakfast hours.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Actually, I was stunned! I had no idea it would be such a comfortable and spacious suite. Very clean. Quiet. Comfortable.
Cons: Although I did not cook, it appeared there were lids for pots, but no pots. I didn't see where they might be. I was in room 237.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel and enjoyed our suite style room.
7,0 Good
Pros: Fine for price. Location good, staff friendly.
Cons: Our room showed wear and some poorly repaired damage but it was clean, cheap and safe. Only there for 8 hours to sleep.
7,1 Good
Pros: See above
Cons: The room was nice. The food was good. The people were helpful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast was great. Lots of variety. Location was great.
Cons: Our toilet had black mold around the rim. The bed was like sleeping on a rock. Very uncomfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast had more choices than one could consume!
Cons: The TV listings did not match what you would see on the tv.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The staff was very polite at check in.
Cons: The room was not clean. I could write my name in the dust on the headboard. The toilet seat was broken. What hotel puts 1/2 roll of toilet paper on the spool and - the wrong way, at that. I’ve never seen a hotel reuse toilet paper or place it “under”! It goes over. The furniture was old and dirty. The room was very outdated. Coffee pot and coffee in room but no styrofoam cups, only plastic water cups.
7,9 Good
Pros: The breakfast was pretty good. The waffles were tasty.
Cons: Staff lied on me and tried to make me pay a rate that was not on my receipt.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Our suite was like an apartment, with a separate bedroom and it had everything that we needed to cook during our stay. The bathroom had plenty of room to put my toiletries bag. On our first night, a Wednesday, a meal was provided in reception, Chicken fajitas which were very good. Would recommend a stay here.
Cons: The bed was a little too hard for me.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location is beautiful. The room was spotless with a great view. The waterpark was a great size for our 8 and 9 year olds. Pillows and bed were comfy enough for one night.
Cons: Waterpark is not included in the booking.com price. It is in the small print but I missed it I guess. Otherwise it was wonderful! Room could use more outlets to change phones.
7,9 Good
Pros: The view and location were great! We could get to all of the wonderful sites of Dubuque. The beds were also very comfortable.
Cons: The property was very family friendly, which was great for other guests, but not our preference. The only issue was the room was very musty. We think due to the shower curtain needing replacement. It smelt strongly of mildew.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location and cleanliness
Cons: The staff was rude and not very helpful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities and the location.
Cons: Nothing
7,5 Good
Pros: I did like the room. We had a handicap room over looking the river. That was nice.
Cons: When I checked in the girl there was not very Friendly. I would ask her a question and she acted like I should know the answer and I have not been there before.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: The pool was fun but most the tubes were deflated and the place it’s self just looked old and run down
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was our first time there. It was wonderful. The food the staff the facilities the room. I can't wait to come again. Thank you so much for an excellent place to stay.
7,5 Good
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: For $150/night our room was not that great. Definitely pay for access to the water park and not accommodations. The woman who checked us out was also really rude when I asked for a receipt. Fine enough place to stay but really not worth the price if you aren’t there for the water park.
7,1 Good
Pros: Water park was fun. Staff was helpful and tony Roma’s was amazing.
Cons: Beds were a little harder then I’d have liked. Pillows not very soft either.
7,5 Good
Pros: Stayed because of water park
6,0 Good
Pros: When I called earlier in the week the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Cons: Arrived at 3pm and were able to pre register. Was told check-in started at 4 and would get a call when the room was ready. Met with family and ate a small meal. Finally received a call at 5 that the room was ready. Not what we expected after 4hr car ride.

Cons: I would have liked to have bananas for breakfast.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was far above expectations for a continental breakfast - best I've ever had.
Cons: Needed another waste basket in room - they are also on the small size. Okay for bathroom, not for main room. Also seat/lid on toilet loose and moved quite a bit. Kind of scary. Could pose a real problem for someone with balance issues.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: location
Cons: There was no drain plug for the bath and the staff could not get one. Could not take a bath.
7,9 Good
Pros: I liked the simplicity. However the pool was unavailable and there was a loud noise at 4:00 a.m. that woke my husband and I up.
Cons: Noise
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Manager was friendly. Breakfast area was average. good selection was average.
Cons: building felt old and worn but looked decent on face value
4,2 Okay
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Breakfast was very minimal and not refilled. Stale biscuits, no fruit at all the second day. No one attending it the second day, so food ran out. Front desk indifferent to things. No phone in my room, broken lights and burned out light bulbs. Empty promises to handle things and make ammends. Always told they would notify the general Mgr who I never met the 3 days I was there. No diabetic choices to speak of for breakfast. It's clear that they only want your money for one visit.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very nice. Comfort.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Room was clean and staff helpful and friendly
Cons: The bed was too firm and HBO didn't come in clearly
6,7 Good
Cons: A bit dated and needing some fleshing up.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable beds. Good size rooms. Had everything we needed.
Cons: Could of been a tish cheaper but fairly worth the money
5,4 Okay
Pros: People and large breakfast room
Cons: Key would not work to open outside door closest to my room and the carpets were heavily stained and should have been replaced years ago!
5,0 Okay
Cons: Room was extremely musty smelling. 2 star motel out on edge of town for $111? Won't be back.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Place was outdated. Key card didn't work in room door on multiple attempts. I wasn't the only person having this problem. Another guest was in hallway at the same time as I was and having trouble with key card. My son is going to school in Dubuque so I will be staying on multiple occasions to see his football games. Will not be staying at this location again.

4,6 Okay
Pros: The bed was fine.
Cons: The pillows were hard. Couldn’t get the WiFi to connect. The tub shower area had lots of mildew. The breakfast was ok. Didn’t have any fruit to pick from.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: The only thing that was good was the bed. I was able to get much needed sleep.
Cons: The room wasn't clean. There was blood stained sheets on the bed. The coffee maker didn't work. The outlets in the room including the bathroom didn't work. When I brought these issues to the front desk, no solution was offered or dealt with.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was OK, but coffee was like water. Location was good
Cons: Lots of mold around the bathtub, no hand soap, only 1 towel, went to the front desk to get some. The refrigerator was too noisy. The bed sheets were so old and thin with stains on it. The carpet in the room was very soiled and spotted. The outside BBQ patio, the wiring for the light was done with a few different indoor extension cords, exposed to the element, rain etc. and there is a large birds nest on top of the light,( potential fire hazards)
4,6 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Staff couldn't speak or understand English at all
6,7 Good
Pros: Value.
Cons: Overall, the hotel could be updated, e.g., the metal tissue dispenser in the bathroom is rusty (and no tissue), the grout lines in shower wall tile are stained and possibly have mold, the walls are thin (you can hear conversations in the adjacent room), the floor squeaked in areas where I was concerned it would bother the guests below. In general, everything is showing wear.
7,5 Good
Pros: Cost and close to the Mines of Spain. Minutes from downtown Dubuque. Friendly staff. Free breakfast, but it is very basic.
Cons: Air conditioning control not good.
3,3 Mediocre
Cons: Dirty bathroom black mold fire alarm taped in place beds uncomfortable hair on bed sheets when we turned them down. Asked for another room was told there were none. Terrible breakfast old bread watered down everything else
7,1 Good
Pros: that we were on the first floor. we weren't in the room very much because we were sightseeing so it sufficed for what we needed it for.
Cons: the way the bathroom is set up right next to the sink counter. for a heavier person like me, it was very awkward to use the bathroom. the recliner in our room was in the corner next to the bed so you couldn't even recline. the free breakfast was severely lacking.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Staff was very nice, had a good breakfast provided.
Cons: Tub was dirty, was left less than half a roll of toilet paper for the 2 nights we were there. Only got a new roll when we had to ask for one from the staff. Bathroom had 2.5 shampoo bottles & no conditioner.
4,0 Okay
Cons: We were not given a room key. Owner said to just leave the door open so we could get back in. Room smelled musty and smoky. Toilet leaked when flushed. Pillows old. Sheets see thru. One panel curtain barely covered window. Run down. Cheap.
5,0 Okay
Cons: My king room had too much furniture for room making everything very cramped and oddly placed to make it fit. Worst of all there was NO non-slip treads/decals/mat in bathtub making it so dangerously slippery I did not use the shower a second time but washed up at sink out of fear for my safety. Also outside door kept getting propped open by smokers completely negating the security of key-only entry.

Pros: Room was clean, but needs updating. Bed was comfortable.

Pros: The room was comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was pretty sad and the hot tub was out of order. If I had known that their hot tub was not working I wouldve booked a different hotel.

Cons: The hot tub had wires showing. Around the pool and hot tub some of the covers over switches were gone. I didn't even swim or use the hot tub too scary.
7,0 Good
Cons: The room was large and looked nice at first, but then noticed several things. The ceiling really need painting, as there must have been a leak in the floor above. Stains in the carpet. Hairs behind the bathroom door. Just unlucky in room choice maybe.

Overview Reviews
The Dubuque Motel 6 is conveniently located off US 20 within 5 miles of Dubuque Airport, Museum of Art, Kennedy Mall, Grand River Center, and Grand Harbor Waterpark. Enjoy our modern rooms and free Wi-Fi available in all guest rooms.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Location in Dubuque, IA was perfect; central to all the places we wanted to visit.
Cons: The building's lack of soundproofing coupled with sticking doors made for many startling jumps as our 'neighbors' slammed into and out of their adjacent rooms. Loud conversation in the parking lot was disruptive. The linens were so bleach burned and thin I had to call housekeeping for a new top sheet; the towels were so rough they actually hurt when using to dry off. When morning came I discovered where all the flies were coming from; gaps around the door clearly showed up with the light streaming through by at least 3/8 inch. Weather stripping would be a great idea. I can't image staying in winter.
2,0 Mediocre
Cons: Room was filthy not cleaned what so ever.. ordered non smoking... Full ash tray sitting in room.. needless to say I didn't stay
2,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing except for the staff at the desk were polite and efficient
Cons: Lower level room was damp and musty. Ceiling leaked during rain. AC control knobs broken & shafts wouldn't move. No cold water at sink. Bad beds - sheets seemed clean but were stained. No sound at TV. Worst Motel 6 stay I've had, and about the worst motels I've ever stayed in.
