The pool was nice
Did see a bug in the room, wasn't able to telo what it was because I freaked out and brushed it off me.
Not Enough plug in
Rude staff, old rooms, tried charging me more than what was booked
Very noisy until late in the night (1:30am) and again early in the morning (6:00 am).
After calling and emailing and being told they couldn't guarantee early check in, we were given early check in with a view of river.
Everytime I called the front desk was unpleasant and not actively listening to questions etc. $50 hold placed on card for incidentals, my mom had bought us a gift card for our stay, but we couldn't use all of it because when we tried to use it in the waterpark they said machine was broken (they should have had it posted if thats the case because we ordered things to try to use up some of the money. The amount I paid here was more than what we paid last year to stay at a high class waterpark in the dells. The check in front desk area is a nightmare, I worked in hospitality for over 10 years and customer service for over 20 and there was no order whatsoever for the process, having a waterpark check in next to it in a small space is the worst logistics nightmare there is. There were lines blocking everyone everywhere. Staff was not pleasant nor accommodating and most of them looked very unprofessional. The arcade system is a joke, you stand in line for over an hour for a prize machine that has the cheapest prizes etc and half the time doesn't accept the cards unless you try it a few times. There were 5 families in front of us that got so frustrated that half of them left and gave their cards to people behind them. The kiddy pool is hardly kid friendly no real place to ease in slowly with a baby. And the water that shoots up when kids play on it immediately get whistled at ny the lifeguards (isnt the point of them to play in them?). The beds were super hard and the pillows sunk in the minute you put your head on them. I was born and raised in dubuque and was in town with our family for a weekend getaway. I always thought what a good thing this was for Dubuque, but its not like there's any other waterpark options close. Its sad that I can't recommend this to anyone. I'd say to drive the extra time to go to dells or comparable in area and bypass here. I was not impressed!
