Cons: Pick up was given the wrong slot number and then had to go in and out of rental agency several times.
Cons: Called at the last minutes for no car
Pros: Terrible staff. Do not waste your time here.
Cons: Worst rental place ever... nobody should rent a car there anymore. I booked online and when reached the counter a very rude clerk said they didn’t hv any more car inventory. He dismissed me, didn’t care to help . Horrible customer experience. I recommend anyone thinking to rent at Hertz in Union station LA to go somewhere else
Pros: Alexa and Jamison were very helpful and provided excellent service. I will definitely consider going to this Hertz location again.
Pros: Staff was friendly, but overworked. The car I reserved was available, which I appreciated.
Cons: There was a long line and only one person working at the desk. The car smelled like mildew pretty strongly. There was a cleanliness seal on the car, but the person who recorded the condition of the car got inside to pull it forward, defeating the purpose of the seal.
Pros: The staff was great. They made the process smooth and so easy.
Cons: I know this wasn’t at the fault of Hertz, but the car smelled like stale smoke.
Pros: It was a convenient location
Cons: After hour drop-off should be a standard option. When I dropped the car off the agent pointed to a rather large scratch on the underside of the front bumper and asked me what I had hit. I didn't hit anything at all and this freaked me out that I would have to pay for it when I know I did not do it. I was thinking that both they and I had missed it on the initial inspection. Luckily, they had past photos and it showed on some of those. They need to be more cardful
Pros: Everything was easy! I booked through Kayak, said it would be a Pathfinder or similar as I needed a 7 seater. Pick up was easy and the car/SUV was a 2020 GMC Acadia, which worked out perfect! There were 2 gentleman at the pick up location that were both friendly and helpful, got me in and out quickly. Drop off was equally easy. Thank you!
Cons: Maybe if they offered pickup & delivery, that would be helpful. Also, if they could be open on Sundays, other than that.. everything was perfect. Will book with them again for sure!
Cons: Cars are dirty and the company allows it
Pros: The staff was ok. They DID not do a walk around on the car and it had a couple of scratches. I tried to tell the lady when I left with it and she said it was noted down. The lady that assisted me with the car was on a personal call the whole time I was talking to her and she told me I had the "manager's special" and was not going to charge more for the insurance but did anyway.
Cons: The car could have been a bit cleaner. I was over charged and I don't understand why. I tried to call and ask and I was on hold then someone hung up on me
Pros: Just the price.
Cons: Well!
Pick up:
Employee didn’t bother to ask me to check out the car for previous dents or paint damages.
I understand that we are una a pandemic situation but that location is so sketchy! Everything is set up in a kinda banquets salon or something.
Drop off:
This was the worst thing I’ve ever experienced in my entire life.
1.- Hertz should tell costumers that hotel driveway is closed (blocked with orange cones) and they have to ask security to let you in to drop off rentals).
I did drop off my rental using the exit driveway BECAUSE the entrance driveway ramp was closed!
Saying that! That rude security guy named “victor” saw me coming in thru the exit! He rudely asked me “where are you going “SIR?”” I nicely told him that I’m dropping off my rental.
He replied back in a threatening way “you gotta turn around and use the entrance ramp” i explained him that it was blocked/closed, he got upset and almost yielded at me. I asked him to stop giving me attitude because I am not being rude to him! He replied: you want me to give you attitude? I can give you that! But you gotta turn around and use the other entrance.
I asked him for his supervisor name and phone number, he said he was the “supervisor”, the I asked him for his employer phone number to submit a complaint! He gave me a fake phone number.
He made me use the other ramp to just drive on a circle to get to the same place.
I dropped off the car and came back to his desk that is located outside of the hotel.
I asked him for his name and I wanted to see his lanyard but he refused to do it saying that he is not allowed to do it! (Why he has it hanging on his neck if he is not gonna show it?)
I told him again that he was very rude with no reason and I felt harassed by him! And discriminated because the way he treated me and called me “Sir” (I’m a trans woman).
I on my way out of the hotel property I tried to cal to the phone number he gave me but it was a fake number.
Fortunately at the end of the ramp there was 2 security guards coming to work so I asked them for their employer phone number to file a complaint.
I hope hertz can get involved in this situation because it is just unacceptable! And like I mentioned before! They should inform costumers about the drop off situation to avoid this type of situations.
