Pros: Breakfast was excellent, as was evening dining. Location central but busy traffic road alongside. The extra window glazing muffled the noise well but if you want fresh air it is noisy. Staff very courteous , obliging and friendly,
Cons: All Good . Only downside is the busy traffic /location
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The best freshly cooked full English breakfast ever had. Awesome complimentary fresh Croissants. Housekeeping Manager was so helpful and polite, allowed us a late check out as well! Best location ever for pre-cruise stay, lively Pubs just around the corner. Most excellent hotel.
Cons: It rained! If the housekeeping Manager could have made the sun shine I'm sure he would have!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place to stay! Superb atmosphere! Amazing food! If I could name all the staff individually, I would!! They were simply AMAZING!!! From the moment I sent an email to rejig arrangements, to walking out at the end of our stay, we were served as if we were the only guests, and princes and princesses! What an awesome experience and memorable occasion! Thank you to Krystoff, Sergio (apologies for the spelling) and Leighton in particular for all your kindness and enthusiasm. You’ve not seen the last of us! I would definitely recommend this amazing gem!
Cons: Not possible to have disliked anything!

Pros: Attentive staff, good location for the New Forest, very comfortable, great breakfast!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful cottage, clean room with lovely touches for my dog
Cons: Bar closed at 5
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the hospitality. The tea room had an Apres ski atmosphere that was warm and welcoming and the tea and cake was delicious (try the apple and cinnamon cake) - especially nice after a day of cycling around the forest. We really enjoyed the gin bar too and as relative gin novices got to try some excellent flavoured gins, complemented by well-matched tonics. We also loved the breakfasts!! Fantastic for anyone into their food and drink. The location was wonderful too - if, like us, you'd prefer not to get in the car after a days activity and walk to dinner, there are plenty of restaurants and bars in under 3mins walk.
Cons: The curtains on the window were a bit thin so outside light woke us up at times. Bed was a double in the room we had - worth noting if you are used to a king or larger.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very friendly staff Would recommend
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all great, we had the historical room inside the cottage itself. Lots of character and felt the room size was great. Slight noise through walls but that was expected because of age of it. Would stay again!

7,0 Good
Pros: Good for the function we attended.
Cons: Room was a little 'tired'. The bed could have been more comfortable. Stayed at a 'Premier Inn' the week before and the bed there was far superior and the room was half the price of the South Lawn Hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, very dog-friendly hotel. Great facilities, large rooms, fantastic food, very friendly & helpful staff. Good location.
Cons: More ground floor rooms with direct access to outside.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location ideal for me Staff excellent Plenty of room for parking Good food

Pros: Very pet friendly. Good food. Big modern room.
Cons: Could not close the curtain fully.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Ample parking. Friendly welcome. Very accommodating staff (provided a lift to a local restaurant). Comfortable room. Good shower. Lovely breakfast.
Cons: Nothing I can think of!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Locality to Milford on Sea was brilliant, room was lovely and the view over the field was peaceful. Receptionist and staff very helpful
Cons: Unfortunately the floor in the restaurant hadn’t been hoovered and bits of food was still on it from the night before however the breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted so good that made up for it. The carpet on the stairs was frayed but didn’t upset the look of the hotel which was festive and very welcoming.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for us - we wanted to be around Milford. Hotel, reception, room and bed, bar staff were all extremely good Breakfast was not so good -- 'fresh fruit' tasted out of a tin. Porridge was lumpy and tasteless. croissants looked as bad as those on a ferry crossing. But that's not a huge issue for me - I'd come back for the hotel itself.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed here three times now, as we're only 2 hours away. We love this hotel, the rooms, the building, the food is exceptional. Parking is easy. The location is great, lovely walks through the New Forest. The drive in to the forest on our way to the hotel, always finds me practically jumping up and down in car seat shouting 'donkey's', 'cows' 'ponies'. (I live in the country!!!). Will carry on visiting, and have recommended the Crown to friends and relations. Thank you for a lovely time. again.
Cons: As always, in nearly all the hotels we stay in, we would like to have wall/door mounted coat hooks on the door to the room, or the entrance to the room or even a freestanding coat stand. That's it .
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The food was great. The room was nice and very quiet.
Cons: I would have liked a little bit more choice of food at dinner
10,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic, rooms newly refurbished, very clean. Bar area, cosy and comfortable
8,0 Excellent
Pros: How clean the Hotel was and how helpful the staff were.
Cons: A couple of niggles: needed to have a long mirror in the bedroom and a shelf above the hand basin in the bathroom, also windows difficult to open to let fresh air in as no air conditioning.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Super-friendly staff. Their local knowledge was really helpful to us. The new menu was absolutely delicious! The hotel is undergoing refurbishment but their efforts to minimise disruption is really appreciated - we barely noticed and didn't hear a hammer or drill when we were there, but did see one or two workmen.
Cons: The bed was very firm but the staff were very friendly when approached and gave us another duvet without any hesitation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, nice room, amazing breakfast
Cons: Restaurant was being renovated so bar area was incredibly busy and crowded
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location and beautiful building ground floor rooms for us dog enthusiasts. The staff are super friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
Cons: The only thing I would improve is the breakfast on slower days. So It’s a hot buffet when busy which was great, but like this morning (Monday) you had to order hot meals and it could have been fresher. Too long under the hot lamp. But masses to chose from and I’ve certainly gained weight
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff. Good quality wine by the glass. Very good breakfast room, A separate gluten free selection and 4 different veggie milk. Well done . Impressive .

Pros: excellent
Cons: I was in room 23 , which I had stayed in previously . The bathroom is a challenge with ones knees under the washbasin whilst on the loo .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful large sea view room with great facilities especially the bath in the bedroom. Food was fabulous as was the breakfast. We enjoyed the large breakfast choice especially the honeycomb from the farm. Lovely stay and can’t wait to go back.
Cons: It was perfect

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, charming building, friendly staff, loved the sea views, comfy beds, pillows etc.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, food and room were fantastic.
Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The delicious fresh pink grapefruit and extremely fresh croissants.
Cons: The shower was absolutely awful. We should have said at the time but I was preoccupied with my husband’s wellbeing and we were there to visit my 93 year old mother in a nearby home. I do think it very odd that the shower problem has not been addressed/reported before. The extremely high standards otherwise maintained in the hotel do not really explain this.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free valet parking is available onsite.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: What an absolute gem of a place. As far as the hotel is concerned, we could not fault it. The complimentary morning tea/coffee delivery to your room, the personalised welcome and weather forecast notes were all symbolic of the extra thoughtful touches that oozed out of this hotel. The only negative is the choice of food. We wanted a casual easy eating/non-fussy menu for supper. Monty’s, the pub attached to the hotel, should have ticked the box. But unfortunately the menu was just too rich and very limited in choice- actually fewer options were available than were on the menu at the door. We decided to drive into Lymington for supper instead. But that was the only downside. This hotel and its staff are right up there with the best of them and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone - a class act.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Comfy room, beautifully decorated and a nice bathroom.
Cons: Very expensive bar, around £6 for a half pint bottle of cider. Very small cooked breakfast which is overpriced.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: All staff exceedingly cheerful, helpful and lovely. Nothing too much trouble. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast: mixed buffet/cooked to order. Great food at both Monty's (informal) and the Terrace (fine dining)
Cons: The room was a little cold - radiators turned on in corridors would have helped
5,0 Okay
Pros: breakfast was good. Got food poisoning at dinner in restaurant though which spoilt our stay
Cons: food poisoning
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very comfortable with excellent food, engaged staff and a great location within the New Forest. Loved the ponies holding up traffic in the Main Street on Sunday morning!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The croissants were excellent. The tea was good. Breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful.
Cons: The coat hangers are really irritating. The hard foam rubber pillows and duvet were horrible and too hot. I did not like the led lighting.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: the location was amazing and all of the staff in reception and bar were 100%
Cons: breakfast was mixed. nothing was particularly wrong however it was very cramped and our order was wrong a few times. we felt other people maybe a "wedding reception" got special service.
6,0 Good
Pros: Comfy bed, nice surroundings, pretty building itself
Cons: Too hot in the bathroom and switch to turn it down! Nowhere to hand hand towels. Hot room too, even with heating off. Staff way to up your arse- or not nice at all. Not easy access from rooms to spa! No privacy and discrete, you have to walk though the bar area full off people! Pool cold and spa area very small. At the restaurant bill automatically takes service charge which is rude without asking! No ashtrays anywhere and smoking area! Way too overpriced for what it is. Would not return again even for free!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely stay in the New Forest and wonderful hosts. We really appreciated the owner getting up early to make us breakfast on Monday morning before work. Very very kind of her!
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: The sheets were old and worn, the towels were dirty. I woke up with bites all over my arms so we moved hotel. There was a strange very old man, who seemed to own the property (right out of a horror film) waiting downstairs. Who just mumbled at us and left the keys on the table when we were trying to check in. Really regret booking this place, not what it looks like in the photos at all!

Overview Reviews
Experience a world of pure relaxation and luxury at Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa, where world class spa facilities, luxurious bedrooms, versatile conference and function spaces and delicious dining options combine to make this hotel in the New Forest so special.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We usually go away between Christmas and new year and really like Brockenhurst and the surrounding area. We have stayed at Careys Manor before and so thought it would make a good base for our trip.
Cons: Since we last visited, some of the areas of the hotel are starting to look a little tired, especially in the public areas (i.e the bar area is ready for some decoration). Also, we felt let down by house keeping. On entering our room (No.61)for the first time following cleaning, we had to go to reception as the toilet paper had run out! We also asked for extra milk in the room and reception kindly sent some up, however, whether it was a bad batch or not I don't know, but the milk had coagulated into one lump. In their defense, reception did send up some fresh milk in a jug.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Spa facilities were fantastic and our room was lovely and spacious!
Cons: There needs clearer sign posting throughout the hotel. We found is difficult to find our car and the spa. Spa facilities were great but would’ve liked more guidance as to what facilities should be used first for optimum relaxation
4,6 Okay
Cons: Overpriced 3/10 hotel trying to be fancier than it is. Massively disappointed with the staff & experience.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Great location, beautiful building.
Cons: Very dated decor and rooms.

Cons: The curtains on the window were a bit thin so outside light woke us up at times. Bed was a double in the room we had - worth noting if you are used to a king or larger.

Pros: The staff were all great, we had the historical room inside the cottage itself. Lots of character and felt the room size was great. Slight noise through walls but that was expected because of age of it. Would stay again!

Pros: Comfy room, beautifully decorated and a nice bathroom.
Cons: Very expensive bar, around £6 for a half pint bottle of cider. Very small cooked breakfast which is overpriced.

Pros: The hotel is very comfortable with excellent food, engaged staff and a great location within the New Forest. Loved the ponies holding up traffic in the Main Street on Sunday morning!

Pros: The croissants were excellent. The tea was good. Breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful.
Cons: The coat hangers are really irritating. The hard foam rubber pillows and duvet were horrible and too hot. I did not like the led lighting.
