Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great location, brilliant room with top notch facilities, and a gracious host!
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Location was good for getting to local places. Breakfast was excellent: brought to the room at the promised time. There was fresh fruit in the room as well as fresh milk and water in the fridge.
Cons: Nothing. Ot was all good
Excellent 9,0
Pros: We had a good choice of breakfast, which was brought up to our room. The room was large and spacious but best of all the bed was really comfortable.
Cons: A small bottle of shampoo please.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: My wife and I have just returned from a 5-night stay at the Coach House Cottage that was booked as a last-minute break. I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was exceptionally spacious with a large king-size bed, two recliner chairs with footstools, and a table and chairs. Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, our breakfast had to be served to our room; not that made any difference. We were able to choose precisely what we wanted, and the breakfast was delivered at the time of our choosing. The full English breakfast was delivered hot, and very well cooked. It’s the small things that made this a wonderful experience. Fresh fruit provided every day. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. A comprehensive supply of toiletries in the bathroom that contained a bath and a shower. Even good quality toilet paper!!! Jackie was an excellent host, and we will be certain to return.
Cons: My only little grumble would be that the shower cubicle could have done with being a little larger. But then, I am a big guy who is used to a large walk-in shower.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful place . Jackie went above and beyond . Bedroom huge . Bed was so comfortable. Ate breakfast in the bedroom at a little table by the window . Breakfast delicious . Large fruit bowl in room and tea and coffee facilities plus small fridge with water and milk . Bathroom is the largest I have ever had . Easy walking to the centre . A very relaxing stay .
Cons: Nothing . Just wanted to lift the whole place up and take it home with me
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Bedroom and conservatory so lots of room to relax in
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I don’t think there is anything more Jackie could have done to improve our stay. There were lots of extras we had not expected.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.Spot
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The accommodation was perfectly clean and comfortable, the food was great. Jackie the host made you feel welcome and supplied us with fresh fruit, milk and biscuits every day. We had 4 great nights sleep. We will be returning. Great value for money.
Cons: Nothing to dislike

Excellent 10,0
Pros: After a pretty miserable long drive in terrible weather, Moortown Lodge was easy to find. Mark and Sabrine excellent hosts. My room was exceptionally comfortable very quiet and great nights sleep. Wonderful breakfast. The house is nicely furnished. I felt Moortown is more of a high end hotel than very good B&B.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great bed and breakfast for Ringwood business trips. Right next to fitness center with a swimming pool. Excellent a la carte breakfast selection, loved the pancakes and bacon combination! Grocery store nearby. Candy in the hallway is a nice touch.
Cons: Separate hot and cold water in bathroom sink is a British classic, yet not very practical. If the bathroom is to be redecorated, a standard single faucet could be used.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Best breakfast I have ever had at the b&b. Friendly and very personable approach. Very clean and good standard
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Homely and beautifully furnished. Fantastic breakfast, everything we could have wanted. Excellent hosts mark and Sabina were most welcoming, offered us umbrellas for the rain and the dish of complimentary celebrations in the hall was a lovely touch. Thank you
Cons: Nothing to not like abut this property
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Comfortable room, good size. Lovely bathroom with powerful shower. The breakfast was great. Hosts were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful e.g provided sofa milk in my room for my tea, told me a good place to eat etc.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, well presented with plenty of choice, including choice for vegetarians! The rooms and bathrooms are beautifully decorated, even a built in toothbrush charger, a lovely idea.

Pros: Staff very friendly and attentive. Breakfast very plentiful. Lunch and dinner menu lots of variety and great food. Great atmosphere around the hotel.
Cons: Bathroom in room needs updating
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We were upgraded to an absolutely superb large suite with a great view overlooking the river. The breakfast was very good, which we enjoyed whilst sat on the terrace by the river ... very relaxing. Can't comment on other dining as we chose to eat in local restaurants, as the hotel is in a fantastic location with plenty of nearby options. The hotel is extremely clean throughout and very comfortable, with a nice spa. Despite Covid, we enjoyed being able to sit at the bar for drinks and chat to the barman.
Cons: We weren't able to book any spa treatments as understaffed, so my recommendation would be to book well in advance of any stay.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Location, quality of hotel and rooms, food, helpful staff
Cons: No gym and spa tiny and virtually fully booked.
Okay 4,0
Pros: Breakfast very nice and waiter
Cons: Felt room was very basic for price

Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff were the most welcoming and friendly group of people. Cannot stress that enough. Great location to Boscombe beach and ideal parking spaces on the front of the hotel. Great atmosphere in the bar downstairs. 10/10 breakfast. The room was so big, lots of natural light, clean bathroom with a window too. Air conditioning was a life saver. Comfiest hotel bed I’ve stayed in. Overall I loved it and have already recommended it to friends. If down that way again, I would stay again
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Had a great stay this weekend the staff really make this place very nice and relaxed stay!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The shower very nice and strong The wood furniture and the bed confortable The fact that you can make a tea or coffee plus they put 2 small bottles of water in the room We ask for a big bottle of water and they give us for free, very nice. The staff in the restaurant very friendly and help us with everything we need.
Cons: Don't have air-conditioned It's on top floor so very hot Not having a little fridge to have you own water cold or just put something in the fridge. The room was not properly clean, very dusty In one of the chairs by the desk was a dry orange skin, so make me think

Excellent 8,0
Pros: The manager of the hotel was extremely lovely and very helpful. The room was a little bit smaller than we imagined and could of been a little cleaner. The walk down to the beach where all the bars, restaurants and amusements are takes around 25-30 minutes. Free parking which was a huge bonus!

Pros: I did not have breakfast but it smell delicious. The location is fantastic near the station.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Amanda & team friendly & helpful. Breakfast excellent plenty of choice.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Friendly staff, very clean room
Cons: Breakfast could have been earlier maybe for workers.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The hotel is an old railway station, you can even have breakfast in a real Pullman carriage. Food was excellent, try the homemade steak pie and the full cooked breakfast was awesome. Our room (3)was very clean, very comfortable bed, we just had a shower in the bathroom again very nice. Not much if a few was the only thing.
Cons: The room was hot so a fan would have been nice, but to be fair we didn’t ask reception for one.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Our room was just right, with everything you wanted, with a few extra touches to make you feel welcome. Large car park and plenty of outdoor space. The manageress was the perfect host, especially at breakfast time in the 'Pullman Coach'. It's probably been said before, but we thought it was First Class.
Cons: Only stayed for one night.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The pub and hotel were spotless, staff very accommodating and food excellent. Sitting down to breakfast in an old Pullman railway carriage was a lovely, quirky twist! Lots of parking available on site at no extra charge.
Cons: Bedroom was quite ‘cosy’ but fine for a short stay. Shower door didn’t close properly which led to puddles on the bathroom floor but this was pointed out to the host who was keen to resolve. Limited (but very nice) breakfast menu.
Good 6,0
Pros: Staff that were there very good especially Lewis, breakfast one of the best I've had, great beer garden especially for kids
Cons: Could have done with fridge in room, wifi very poor, Express check in and check out had problem's with, waited 20 mins to check in, think they have a bit of a staffing problem, also Fire Alarm going off at 5am, false alarm
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good and breakfast in the old railway carriage was excellent.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The staff were super helpful and friendly. The service was excellent and very quick. The train carriage for breakfast was fab and a lovely experience. The children really enjoyed being on the train. A great location for us. Close to Christchurch and Bournemouth, 10 minute journey. A lovely walk across the road down the Avon causeway.
Cons: The children's menu could have been a little wider in choice, but suited us for a three night stay.
Good 6,0
Pros: Location and a certain amount of character
Cons: Helpfulness of some staff, the food we had, I thought was below average. Fire doors through the corridors slammed which wasn't good when it's next to your room. When checking out we were not asked how our stay was.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Amanda’a customer service was exceptional. It was the little touches here and the personal service that made this hotel pleasurable. From the cake goodies we discovered in our room to the breakfast, all of the food was five star including the breakfast. Our compliments to the chef Vicky for the breakfast and the cakes which were scrumptious!

Excellent 8,0
Pros: First and Foremost Val was a superhost. Very friendly, very helpful giving advice on the different places to try. We had the family room and it was very adequate for what we required it for. Val kept the tea and coffee stocked up in the room. The breakfast wasn't part of our package but paid for it anyway and was very nice indeed. Wouldn't hesitate to return and thanks Val and family for looking after us.
Cons: Everything we required was available.

Good 7,0
Pros: Breakfast adequate but eggs not cooked as I requested and toast cold on both days
Cons: Breakfast in hotel
Good 7,0
Pros: Very tired decor Dissapponted that was only informed that breakfast was next door and no restaurant facilities until after I had booked and paid
Cons: As above
Good 6,0
Pros: Friendly staff and nice downstairs area. Catering staff in Derby were very nice too - especially Sonja!
Cons: Room was very tired and dated. Dusty and overall did not feel or look clean. We had a Suite and it definitely wasn’t luxurious. Basic and things done on the cheap! The bed, mattress and bathroom were ancient.
Good 6,0
Pros: Staff all friendly
Cons: Bath was in the bedroom, toilet and basin opposite side of room, room generally very tired looking, no restaurant and no breakfast served at the hotel, breakfast was in hotel next door and not amazing. Bar was closed at 10.00pm so no chance of a night cap when we got back in the evening.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything about the stay was excellent. It was booked as a surprise mini honeymoon for my son and his new wife and they absolutely loved it. To use their words it was "perfect". I had booked the Kings Suite for them and when they sent me photos it looked exactly like the photos on the website. I hadn't seen the bathroom but they raved about it, tv in the bath and it looked absolutely beautiful. My daughter-in-law in fact became quite emotional at how perfect it all was. Breakfast they said was also great and the staff were all very helpful and friendly, chilling the mini bottles of wine and beer I had given them in a hamper and providing classes and cutlery when they decided to have a take away. I am so very happy that they had a great time. They were also absolutely happy with the history of the building.
Cons: Communication to start with was a little worrying although I appreciate the booking was made before hotels were opened on 17th May 2021. This was eventually resolved as the hotel contacted me direct and I was given a mobile number on which I could reach a member of the management team, they reassured everything was in place for my son and his new wife's arrival.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Location was very good
Cons: Parking
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Lovely quirky room/property, very polite and friendly staff. Good breakfast at related hotel across the road.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: To be honest there was nothing not to like , location , accommodation, food , cleanliness and staff are all spot on , would highly recommend a stay there , or even a meal , brilliant nice walk along the river Avon too , just a short walk away
Cons: We didn’t find anything we did not like ,
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Very attentive staff, great breakfast. Dog friendly.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: It was a beautiful spacious pub with two bars and comfortable seating, also lovely area outside to have drinks. Staff were particularly friendly and helpful. We did not realize until arrival that it is dog friendly and caters for pets, which I think is terrific. Breakfast was really good. I enjoyed my dinner but my husband was not so keen as felt his dinner was too dry, but at the time staff had apologized that they had run out of bar-b q sauce and informed my husband of this before he made his choice. Bedroom was really excellent with a nice large room, walk in shower in the bathroom and bed very comfortable. Stairs slightly steep as I am elderly, but managed them okay. Initially only given one key between both of us, but staff found another key which was great. COVID cleanliness and safety appeared paramount, with a one way system through pub and public toilet facilities were very clean.
Cons: My husband was not very keen on the dinner, but it was a varied menu and I think he made the wrong choices, as did not enjoy the squid starter finding it dry, tasteless and chewy, but my starter was avocado toast which was delicious. We were given some fresh milk to take up to bedroom but with the heat it did not keep long - perhaps individual long life milk portions might be more useful. Stairs to bedroom were steep, but bedroom was very impressive. Initially only had one key which opened downstairs door to accommodation and upstairs bedroom, and we were not together all the time, but staff very kindly found another key. There was very little to dislike as staff were very attentive and helpful and breakfast was excellent.
Good 7,0
Pros: Lovely pub and gardens. Nice staff. The accommodation is separate to the actual pub, but still in the grounds.
Cons: Drink prices very expensive. We could hear the air conditioning and extractor fans ALL night, humming very loudly.. Food was ok but not as good as previous reviews we read.
Good 7,0
Pros: The location is central for Christchurch, Mudeford and Highcliffe. The breakfast was ok and there was a nice beer garden
Cons: The room was not as clean as we would have expected and it really needed a bit of TLC. The grout in the shower was mouldy in areas and there were hair and dust in areas of the bathroom that hadn't been cleaned for quite sometime. We did mention the cleanliness to the restaurant staff and although clean towels appeared on our bed there was no acknowledgement that anything has been done or an apology. Also most of the menu items were sold out on our first night and the food we did order was horrible and we didn't eat it. The manager took a token amount off of the bill but remained behind the scenes and left the waiting staff to deal with it. It's worth travelling into Christchurch to eat.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Friendly and traditional
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Amazing place. We had a great time there on our wedding anniversary. The room was prescribed champagne glasses and a heart of towels for me. Location of the hotel 5 minutes to the beach. Manager Alan is a great man. We are already planning another stay
Excellent 9,0
Pros: A good welcome on arrival, the hotel is well located, my single room was quite spacious, bed was comfortable, shower provided hot water and a strong flow, and adequate car parking. No breakfast provided unfortunately (blame Covid ! ) but tea and coffee and biscuits left in the room were welcome.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Fantastic stay, lovely staff
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Friendly management and staff, large rooms and close to the beach and high street.
Cons: The wi fi was not working.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Location was very good. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Replied quickly to emails. Bedding was very clean and fresh towels every couple of days or before if you wanted them. Was given a room with a balcony however see below. (Room2)
Cons: Bathroom had a fair amount of mould around the front of the shower. Hot water took an age to come both to the tap and shower. Toilet seat was loose and moved when you sat on it. The tiles behind the toilet had piece missing. We were given a balcony however went you went outside your could see that no one had touched the window frames for years they were rotten. The wall on the inside needed a good coat of pain and owner could have put a couple of plastic chairs outside
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Nice location. Breakfast is always good. Staff are always friendly and the hotel is very well run

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Good 7,0
Pros: Great for people with dogs, average location not close to the beach unless you drive, Lucy really great lady very helpful and friendly, the shower horrible no pressure and hot water not easy to adjust, overall good stay
Cons: The shower
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We had a great stay, Lucy was so welcoming and hospitable. Our room was lovely and very very clean, comfortable and quiet. I highly recommend the Ashleigh and will certainly be back soon.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: I was really stressed about arriving late as my train was delayed, I was met with a warm welcome from Lucy. I was really tired after a long journey and the room was just perfection. It was spotlessly clean, warm (as it was a cold night) and very comfortable. The bed was a nice king size with nice bedding. The toiletries where excellent and presented beautifully. The shower was spacious and hot. Good supply of tea and coffee and biscuits. This place is a little Gem and great value for money, and so convenient for the Train station.
Cons: The fact I couldn't have breakfast due to Covid restrictions.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: An amazing find for anyone travelling to Bournemouth especially with dogs! A great location not too far from the beach and great if you are meeting/ visiting students at the uni. Staff were so welcoming and went the extra mile with a welcome pack for dogs (great for things you could forget) and a safe enclosed garden for the dogs too. Would recommend this hotel to everyone and hope to return soon!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Lucy was very welcoming. The bed was so comfortable and the room was nice and spacious. I fell asleep for a couple of hours when I arrived. Very peaceful and quiet there. I hope to come back for another break. My dog Otis was also made welcome with a gift box, which was a fantastic touch. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Cons: I have no dislikes at all.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Good location. Easy walking distance to Beach, Town.
Cons: No breakfast. But that’s due to Covid.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The property was clean and easily accessible. All the appropriate covid procedures were in place. Would happily stay here again.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: 10 mins from train station , 10 mins from beach
Cons: Hotel is a little dated but the staff more than make up for it
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great staff. Always very helpful. Rooms cleaned daily on request, plenty of tea and coffee in room. Fabulous breakfast, plenty of choice. Liked the free parking which is one of the reasons we chose the hotel. Bus stop within a few minutes walk of hotel. We feel the hotel needs updating. Having said that we enjoyed our stay and thought the hotel provided us with VFM.
Cons: The quality of the evening meals on several occasions was poor. One evening a starter was tasteless and several hot meals over cooked. Towards the end of our stay the food seemed to improve. No garden area to sit and relax.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Having to wait a long time for breakfast
Good 7,0
Pros: Both the room and the bathroom were a decent size.
Cons: The whole hotel needs a refurbishment.
Good 7,0
Pros: Really spacious room with everything you could need!
Cons: Power cut on the first morning meant we couldn't have hot breakfast but a full refund was given.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: The bedding was clean .
Cons: I booked 2 rooms, a double and a twin room. I have to asked on our arrival to change the double room, the smell of cigarettes was really bad. The room was really small, with broken sink in the bathroom. They exchange the room the next day. But I had a really bad night coughing, as I'm allergic. The hotel is tired and dated, the damaged window frames at the front,is not a very nice welcome to stay. Also I even found one night all the dirty laundry by the corridor, I think that was really unacceptable under the actual circumstances (Covid). My partner and my little daughter used the swimming pool about 7 o'clock one night and there was no-one to offer towels. Unfortunately, I cannot say was a enjoyable stay. Also, even to make everything worse, when we were to check out and the lady at the reception was trying to make a joke, she said that she remembered our room number, because "they always remember the trouble makers". At that point, I just wanted to leave.
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Out dated rooms, rude staff got into trouble when feeding a little 4 year old aswe webtbsbd sat down in the bar area during lunch only having s salad and a sandwich. We didn’t have anywhere to sit and eat. Swimming poor was dirty, hair in the food, twice, was an awful experience. No one cares in this hotel, staff are used to people complaining about something.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Excellent food and drink, nice large gardens to rear of hotel.
Cons: Busy main road location.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: It had a nice outdoors area, good for the dogs to sniff around in and the food was nice, the portions weren't massive but they tasted good.
Cons: The room wasn't very well cleaned, clearly the mirrors hadn't been cleaned and no one had pulled out the beds to clean under them because we found someone's heart medication under the bed. We had dogs in that room, had they eaten that, it could have been lethal!! Very upset by this!!
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Comfortable bed. Clean room
Cons: Service was very slow at breakfast and dinner. No wifi if you didn't have a 'sky' account. Heating was on overnight in my room despite the radiator set to '0' and it being June/23 degrees outside. The view from my window was a wall about 2m away, so my room was incredibly dark.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Ollie, Holly, Jo and Mo. The management of this place sucks!! I'm surprised they have any staff at all. As well as my review below, there was no Eton mess and at breakfast when I asked for the Continental I was informed that sorry but there were no pastries, croissants or yoghurts. Management pull your fingers out for gods sake.
Cons: Well, where should I start? Had a drink in the bar as we had arrived to early to book into the hotel. Met Ollie who recognised our Welsh accents. Nice young man. Before we left the bar we asked if we could book a table at the restaurant for that evening for 7pm. We were recommended by Jo to book table 8 which we did. Booked into the hotel with Holly, a very pleasant young lady. Came down just before 7pm, found a staff member and asked to be shown to our table. He said "yeah, if there's no one sitting there". We did explain that we had booked that particular table earlier and he just said well there's someone sitting there now so I can put you on this table and showed us to the seating area next to the lobby to the hotel. It was quite dark and dingy. Not happy. Then we were told that there was an hour's wait for food. Joy. Had we wanted to eat late then we would have booked a table for later! Ollie then came to take our order for drinks and was surprised to see us sitting at that table when he'd been there when we booked earlier. He asked if we would like to order food at the same time. Given we were told of the hour wait for food we decided to order food then. Ian's first choice was mussels, not available sorry, ok then the salmon please, sorry no salmon either. Mmm? Ok go get the drinks and we'll have a rethink. Drinks arrived. I asked if there was a child/OAP menu I could see. That was brought over. A while later (25mins) Holly came through from the hotel reception area and said hello and asked if we were ok. I explained what had happened and said that we were waiting to place our food order. She said she would do it herself. Ian had curry and I asked for the small child's (2) sausage, chips, peas and gravy. I wanted to leave room for the Eton mess dessert!! Within 15mins the food arrived. Mine was wrong. I's had 3 sausage, peas, gravy and mash. The mash was completely inedible.
Good 7,0
Pros: The breakfast was good but the evening meals not good as we had a meal each night (4) and one nice one and the gammon I had on the last night didn't look anything like gammon and cold chips for the second time not at all we expected, chef?
Cons: Better evening meals how can a good chef send out two meals one with hot chips and with cold?
Okay 5,0
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Breakfast was terrible. Room could do with updating
Good 6,0
Pros: Bar staff was excellent and very accommodating made to feel really welcome
Cons: I didn’t know it was a dog friendly hotel I have no problems with that other than I was woken by barking dogs at 4 am and 7 am. Fell back to sleep as was up early and missed checkout receptionist was quiet grumpy and rude when I tried to explain why I fell to sleep bar staff was excellent and very accommodating on arrival the same lady was ok must have had a bad Sunday night
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Room was nice good comfy beds and everything was clean with nice views out the back
Cons: Had food in the restaurant and wasn't impressed needed a saw to cut the steak pie got mash not chips, 4 of us ate, loads of food was wrong sent 1 meal back food was still frozen all we got was sorry about that from young waitress so went else where for food the next day, we spent £140 with drinks so another pubs profit the next day

Pros: Nearest to venue I was working at. Good facilities
Good 7,0
Pros: Kind staff, swimming pool, starbucks
Cons: Basic Breakfast
Okay 4,0
Cons: Blood stains on the lobby doors.
Okay 4,0
Pros: Nice view of the hospital and you even get the air ambulance landing with critically I'll people on board, how romantic! Then in the morning a pratt revving his sports car up right under people's windows wonders why a dirty nappy was thrown from a room window! I looked out and automatically of course its my fault! Never again! 👎
Cons: Breakfast was like a side dish full of cardboard. Scrammbled eggs!! More like a table spoon of foam and sausages will they looked and tasted like aneamic cigars. Beans had a film of reheated microwaved slop. £7.50!!! Good job we got a curry in at least they sauce their meat unlike Brakes or 3665, what are you doing!! 🤔 membership! Really and charging me twice and twice in a row! Good job Farnborough have the right thing going on. Never again, Royal Exeter for me next time.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Noise, Didn't realise it would be full of young people celebrating hen and stag weekends.
