Excellent 10,0
Pros: Comfortable bed and well appointed room. Good selection for continental breakfast
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Perfect location for early morning flight from airport the host took us to the airport at 4am with a smile and collected us 10 days later after our holiday. You can also leave your car securely at the property whilst you are away. Would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Proximity to Bristol Airport - took us less than 15 mins walking to terminal. Room is very spacious with lots of drink and food offerings. Parking extra, leave your keys as they will need to move it around so that your car is waiting at the front when you are back - which it was.
Cons: Could not find the tv remote control but could utilise controls on the side of it.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything. Sandra has thought of everything you will need for an overnight stay near the airport. Bed so comfy though, you might miss your flight!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Huge comfy bed Nice and quiet.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Our host was friendly and we were kept informed at every step. Room was very clean with more provision's than we could have hoped for. A wonderful place to start our holiday and only a few minutes from the airport. What more could we ask. Would highly recommend and will stay here whenever we fly from Bristol.
Cons: Nothing.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Super comfy room, stunning location with walkable pubs and easy to explore surrounding areas. Hosts were the best we've ever had. Super friendly, delish breakfasts and a furry wagging tail to greet at the end of a day out...last part refers to their happy spaniel Finn! Nigel and Debbie are incredible hosts and we would recommend them to anyone who will listen!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Needed a hotel for a wedding close by. Forget your "cheap" travelodge deals. This was the same price pretty much with a warm friendly welcome fantastic comfortable bed and a very good breakfast.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Perfect for its location over looking the reservoir in easy driving distance from Bristol & Cheddar and three good locals and loads of walking. There is a local Londis open 8-8, 7 days a week. Debbie is a fantastic host who goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome from the biscuits in the jar in the ensuite bedroom to the excellent breakfast choices and home made bread and marmalade, I bought a jar it was so good. We even got a lift to the wedding venue there are two both within 2 miles. Finley the Spaniel will keep you busy if you want to throw his ball in the huge garden behind the large gravel off road car park, but if not you wont see him
Cons: Cannot fault this B&B. But if you dont like road noise in the morning as we had our window wide open on both Saturday & Sunday night then dont stay in the front rooms, they have three to choose from. We are used to it so didnt bother us at all. It is also worth noting that there are not many footpaths in Blagdon and the roads are narrow so you have been warned.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We loved our stay at School Farm - Debbie and Nigel where wonderful hosts, our room and en-suite was very comfortable and the breakfast was incredible. We particularly loved the homegrown raspberries.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The breakfast exceeded expectations and was wonderful - freshly picked fruit and full English, organic and local produce. The bed was large and very comfortable. Debbie, the owner was delightful, friendly and very helpful. The positioning of the establishment was excellent for meals in local places and walking. It is also only 15 minutes from the airport.
Cons: The room looked out on to a road which from 5 am was very busy, and because it was summertime, we had the window open and were woken at that time. The room was quite small so we would not be happy staying there for more than one or two nights
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Debbie and Nigel looked after us very well. We would definitely go again.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: very clean & Debbie was very welcoming. Breakfast was very good. Beautiful view
Excellent 10,0
Pros: For the two nights we were here, the hospitality of the owners, Debbie & Nigel was exceptional. They were warm & welcoming and felt more like family The breakfast was delicious, was from local farm produce and the beds were just amazing. Debbie went out of her way to help us, even giving us a lift to my son's wedding venue and picking us up afterwards. That's exceptional! We are so glad we booked this B&B and would recommend it.

Pros: Annette was very welcoming. Beautiful cottage. Very comfortable. Will use again.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: The room was really confortable and warm
Cons: Poor breakfast, too many people searching for things in the kitchen since the host was not there. The first group that have breakfast finishes most of the stuff
Good 6,3
Pros: Very close to Bristol Airport
Cons: Very compact room with squeaky bathroom door hinges, black around the shower tray grouting, only plastic throwaway milk containers with coffee granules available. Lumpy synthetic pillows. Noisy at night due to many guests coming and going.
Okay 4,2
Pros: The place it's self was beautiful
Cons: We never saw any staff or guests.

Good 7,1
Pros: No breakfast
Good 6,7
Pros: It was cheap
Cons: Thin walls, could hear the guy in the next room snoring
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Perfect for Bristol airport which is very close. Mini bus transfer punctual and quick. Also, room was spacious, nice bathroom, comfy bed.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The Lodge was exactly what we wanted as regards somewhere to stay before flying off from Bristol airport. We came by coach from Exeter and so we were grateful to be picked up and taken to the Lodge and returned the next morning to the airport.
Cons: I cannot write very much about what I didn't like because I didn't find anything to dislike.
Good 6,3
Pros: Peaceful place and attentive owner
Cons: Whilst the room was a good size, and clean the bed would be better used as firewood. Unbelievably creeky and noisy. Just dreadful.
Excellent 8,3
Cons: It was a bit noisy when the other guests got up ready to be collected for early flights- between 2 am and 4 am
Good 7,9
Pros: Handy for airport
Good 7,0
Pros: So easy to book, friendly staff. Clean rooms and very close to airport, so quick transfer.
Cons: Noise from plumbing in other bathrooms in the house is very loud. No sound barrier! Sounds like they are in your bathroom. It enough to keep you awake or wake you up.
Good 7,5
Pros: It was very clean, did what it said on the label and convenient to the airport.
Cons: We were very tired when we arrived late at night and, partly because of that, found it confusing to find our way to check in. The directions found on the online information weren't correct and it was only because my partner looked it up on Google maps that we found the site at all. The beds were rather soft for our liking.
Good 6,7
Pros: The room was very good but we were very disappointed as we park our car here for one week and then slept after our flight at the lodge. The staff that took our car from us and took us to the airport were very polite and helpful unfortunately the member of staff that picked us up from the airport and took us to our accommodation was very abrupt and not at all helpful. As our flight didn’t land until very late there should be some flexibility for checkout time but we were told abruptly 10am!!!
Cons: The member of staff that picked us up from the airport to our lodge and no flexibility with checkout time.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Once you have arrived, it is a rather hassle free experience. The place is clean and just off the main road which is nice.
Cons: Very hard to find the lodge. Came in from the other direction as I followed GPS instructions and only found the place after looking at other reviews to turn at the plane. Receptionist was rather rude after I explained that it was hard to find, as if I was stupid.

Good 7,9
Pros: The older lady in the breakfast lounge greeting us was the most friendliest helpfull kind member of staff She’s An absolute credit to the company Just her would make us return !
Cons: Occupants of the room opposite to us in a wedding party were very noisy banging doors all night
Good 6,3
Cons: The check in experience was very poor. When walking towards the hotel from the car park there is a sign marked with an arrow for 'reception', with no other notices. You then have to navigate 3 flights of stairs to get to reception. In fact if you continue up the slope and stay left, the stairs can be avoided. Great once you have already checked in and can see this is the case. I complained about the poor quality signage and that I had lugged 3 bags up 3 flights of stairs whilst pregnant, the guy on reception completely ignored my comments and just stated blandly "checking in?" I had to repeat my complaint before he muttered that it wasn't great but I still had to ask for assistance with the baggage (although by this point there was a lift I could use so no need to use the stairs). Would also be a potential issue for disabled guests. Simply needed a sign saying - 'to avoid steps continue around the slope'. Furthermore, the windows in the room could not be opened but once again - zero signage. As one handle spun round and the other could be moved, it was not clear that they could not be opened. At breakfast, the lovely lady greeting guests was incredibly nice and helpful, however the same could not be said for the waiting staff. I dared to ask for a veggie sausage and the member of staff grunted that it wasn't his job and that I would have to ask one of the waitresses (he was dressed as a waiter). So overall, the staff I came into contact with were generally unhelpful and not what you would expect when paying £160 for a room.
Excellent 10,0
Cons: We had a delightful stay. The room, facilities, food and staff more than met our expectations. Thank you
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get out and the warm cookies handed on arrival were a fabulous treat
Cons: My parents found it difficult to get around, there we no spare rooms for the infirm
Okay 4,0
Pros: The location is very good. The food was to the level expected for such a hotel.
Cons: The window in our bedroom didn't open at all. The room was stuffy and uncomfortable as a result. Air conditioning is not an alternative to being able to open a window for people with breathing problems. The staff were poorly trained and had no respect for guests property. We attended a wedding where my wife made the flowers for the cake. The cake and flowers were pushed into a plastic box such that the flowers were destroyed and no longer able to be a keep sake for the bride. The flowers had taken more than 100 hours to produce. I expect much more from a hotel of this standard and that they would take care of guests property! Sadly they have done little to resolve the issue to placate the bride regarding the damage. Very poor customer service!
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic - cooked food was lovely and exceeded my expectations for a hot-held hotel breakfast. Room was very clean, bath was great and so easy to use, room was spacious and the forest view was an added bonus.
Cons: Spirits selection on the upstairs bar was terrible, but I found some better whisky in the downstairs bar. Tea facilities in the room very basic, would be great to have a coffee machine or independent local coffee/tea selection. Some of the staff seemed inexperienced but friendly and tried to be helpful. We arrived earlier than our check in but were told at the front desk that we could still add drinks to our room. Every single time we tried to put drinks on our room, there was an issue and it took ages to sort out by getting a manager from downstairs. Some walkie talkies might help?
Good 7,9
Pros: Good location for the airport. Nice hotel
Good 7,4
Pros: Spa and gym included
Cons: Breakfast not included
Okay 5,0
Pros: good gym and pool
Cons: Restaurant bar over priced , breakfast average, planes noisy from nearby airport , room 502 had no view and had late night noise from staff block below Car parking busy at times .

Pros: Bed comfy. Good lighting and heating. Lovely breakfast.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: It is very close to Bristol Veterinary Faculty. Very nice surroundings and close to Bristol city. About 5 minutes away there is a 24hour shop that provides everything you could need (in case you have forgotten something)
Cons: It would be nice to have some sockets closer to the bed. However, good quality for the price
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Very comfy beds & great location, close to Bristol airport yet in the countryside. Just down the road from a couple of great pubs.. Friendly, helpful staff.

Good 7,1
Pros: Comfortable, easy to check in and check out. Great price. Very close to the airport but not at all noisy.
Cons: Water doesn’t drain off in the shower very well, so it overflows very quickly.
Excellent 8,0

Good 7,7
Pros: The owners of Apple Tree House are very welcoming and obliging. We were taken to the airport at 4am cheerfully. The room was huge with tea making facilities and tv, the bathroom was also very big. There is a very nice pub a few minutes walk ago that serves meals.

Pros: Had an early flight from Bristol airport so the location was excellent.... good beer good food nice large rooms
Good 7,0
Pros: The position and car parking facilities.
Cons: The staff were not particulari;y cheerful doing their work or so it appeared to us.
Good 7,5
Pros: Convenient location for the airport. Good room.
Cons: Rude receptionist. She couldn't find my booking, tutted when she heard I booked through booking.com. Her colleague stepped in to sort everything out. They had made an admin error and I did in fact have a room. I needed extra parking, but it turned out I couldn't book it as an add-on to my original booking and she was rude about that too.
Okay 5,8
Pros: Even though it was not included in the price, breakfast was nice and fair also cheap. They served you most things you would get for a satisfactory breakfast. Location was quite close to airport (5-10 mins) and pick up was super fast and comfortable. Pick up was also free of charge.
Cons: Front desk people was not good at all to me since i'd like to have a conversation with looking eyes and smiling faces. Dinner to me was poor, there was not much selections to fullfill your average dinner needs. Room was clean but there was no fridge in the room. No drinkable bottled water was present in the room. I would expect to have several since it is a basic need for all of us. Even this made me think value for money wasn't satisfying. There was no Euro type plugs in the room just like any other hotel in UK.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Although we arrived very late the chap on reception was very obliging by getting us drinks from the bar.
Cons: N/A
Okay 5,4
Pros: Check in The staff were very efficient
Cons: Food was very basic and unappetising and the drinks were very expensive
Good 7,5
Pros: Clean, convenient and comfortable.
Cons: local Signs and direction to the airport multi storey car park were confusing . It would have been really helpful if hotel had a notice or handout at reception as I imagine the majority of people were like me - getting up at 5 am for an early flight. It’s easy to get to the airport when you know how .

Cons: Bad smell in the bathroom which was also cold. Could hear every movement from room above as the floor was very creaky.Bed was small for a double.
Good 7,9
Cons: the person in the room above packed and left at 05.00 making a lot of noise, Very loud in the room below.
Excellent 8,5
Pros: The staff was very friendly and room very cozy and comfortable take ear plugs
Cons: The only downside was noise throughout the night from a constantly busy road and the walls were so thin you could hear everything being said in next room
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Staff were friendly, room was good for 1 night, breakfast was good. Very near to airport was a bonus
Excellent 9,1
Pros: We stayed there during consecutive weekends. The first weekend, the room was nice and the staff was very accommodating, especially since we arrived well before the 2pm reservation. The next weekend was also nice, with the staff very helpful in finding taxis for us during our stay. Room 9, the room we stayed in during the latter trip, was nice a roomy, but a tad warm. When we open the windows to cool off, the traffic noise from the outside was too loud to sleep. However, by that time, the room had cooled enough to fall asleep. All in all, a very nice place to stay, eat, and enjoy the Bristol area.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff very welcoming as usual, room excellent as was the food we had evening meal and breakfast! Guinness was outstanding
Okay 5,8
Pros: Great location for where we needed to be. The building is really beautiful - a lovely historic pub, and nice and cosy inside the main bar area. Check in was quick and the hosts helped us where they could, rooms were clean and quiet.
Cons: Our room looked dated and old (although clean), the air conditioner unit had the panel missing so it exposed the electric circuit board! Unfortunately the light from the fire escape sign came into the room through the frosted panel in our room door - not ideal when you need to sleep! WiFi didn’t work in our rooms (which were in the annexe next to the main building). The bathroom reminded me of a hostel or a hospital bathroom/wet room - Although perfectly functional there is no “luxury” whatsoever. Also nowhere to hang a towel that would keep it dry, and no where to put our toiletries. For £75 a night I guess I expected a bit more. The breakfast was fine, although a comment was made by the staff when our group asked for 1 more coffee each. Although the staff accommodated our request, it did feel like it was somewhat of an over stretch. Again - not great when the rooms cost upwards of £70 a night.
Excellent 9,2
Cons: Room was very small the breakfast was OK except the mushrooms were almost raw
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and the comfort within the bar plus the excellent food on the menu is the first good thing on arrival. The room is basic but totally adequate for our one night stay. It was spotless and comfortable with the added extra of tea making and biscuits to give a finishing touch. This is our third visit to the Fox and Goose and we will definitely use the next time we fly from Bristol and certainly recommend to any friends. Brilliant value for money.
Cons: Nothing to report our stay was perfect.

Pros: The staff were excellent, the location perfect for the airport and although we didn't stop for breakfast on this occasion was really impressed that breakfast was served from 4am. Pros: Close to the airport
Cons: Difficult getting heaters to work. Ill equipped kitchen...couldn't find adequate pans to heat up food and no microwave. To catch the shuttle to airport in the morning, we had to haul our luggage in the rain up to the office...no place to stand out of the rain while we waited for the shuttle as the office was closed.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. She found us another room as the original room was up and down some stairs and one of our party has difficulty walking and going up stairs.
Good 7,0
Cons: Wish there had been a hair dryer.

Good 6,0
Pros: Motel close to airport. Room was not that which was shown on booking.com. There was no one there when we arrived however didn't have to wait long. Room was very small however did the job as this was an overnighter for early morning flight. Bed was comfortable and cereal was provided for breakfast. Friend wanted to park her car as advertised however was informed that this would be taken off site so she declined. OK stay although little expensive for what it was, £65.
Cons: Room was very small as was bathroom. A bit dated and overpriced.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: superb standard of room and facilities, excellent friendly staff, shuttle service to airport prompt and friendly.
