Carey's Manor Hotel was a lovely respite with good access to the New Forest. I went because of its location, but the spa was amazing and great as a destination in and of itself.
The whole place was excellent, staff where friendly. Lovely location. Lovely all together.
The view from our room over the garden was lovely, the swimming pool the best I have seen in the UK and the spa was great. We ate in one of the restaurants and that was very good too.
We were a little disappointed with the room which looked tired and dated. The shower was over the bath and leaked all over the floor. The bathroom floor was cold and there were no slippers provided.
The property was clean and tidy - I really love the feel of the place with the character it has and the real log fire in the reception as you walked in, the staff are really friendly and helpful and the spa facilities were very well kept. We also ate at the Thai and English themed restaurants onsite and really enjoyed both meals so I would recommend a visit to either of them during your stay
The bar or lack of. Not cosy or sociable.
