Pros: Location and amenities. If we asked for it we got it. Yoga mat, ice, corkscrew, and maintenance. We had one of the newly renovated rooms which was really beautiful. Fantastic view into the harbour.
Cons: Some of the new renovations were not checked thoroughly for functionality. Toilet ran and needed adjustment. The sliding door into the bathroom could not be opened or closed without significant effort. Maintenance could not fix it as the door is too heavy
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was a true 5 star experience
Cons: The AC in the room had a very strong fan, even when turned down low - it did not extend to the bed so it worked for me but if I had sat at the desk, it was to the point of uncomfortable. But the overall hotel experience was first rate.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel, a former firehouse, has a beautiful feel. The very opposite of a cookie cutter chain hotel. The staff were very friendly, and the room was large and comfortable.
Cons: The location, in the center of Kendall Square, is difficult to park in. The hotel does have a small underground lot (which is great) but the fit is right. Despite a warning from front desk staff, we still managed to nick the front bumper...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great location, Wi-Fi hotspot in every room.

Pros: The staff was very accommodating after we explained our situation. They even allowed us late checkout. Great place
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was good and it was decorated very retro and on trend. Not a typical hotel chain where everything looks the same. I also liked that they had complimentary coffee and water in the lobby and the room.
Cons: The fan was broken in the room and I mentioned it to two people at the front desk. Both said that they would send someone up with a replacement. That did not happen. Front desk associates were chatting with the valet or using a personal cell.

6,0 Good
Pros: the way the hotel had a theme of music and was different to normal
Cons: When we got there, there was another charge of $16.00 to use the pool and bar which we were not told about previously. Also we used the pool but there was nowhere to get drinks until 5pm, would have been good to have somewhere to get drinks.
4,0 Okay

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff! Always accommodating!

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The Eliot was a pleasant surprise. The room was quiet and very comfortable with a great shower. The location was great, an easy walk to all the Prudential Center attractions, and less than a mile from Symphony Hall. The staff were amazingly sweet and friendly. Valet parking was convenient, and getting on the Pike to go home (west for us) was super-simple -- it's literally around the corner.
Cons: Well, we still think Boston hotel prices are absurd, so those could be lower :-). But we've spent as much for teeny tiny rooms in noisy locations, so we were pretty happy. We didn't try the restaurant. Maybe next time.

4,0 Okay
Pros: Nice staff let us check in early. Had no problem with us hanging out in the lobby when our flight was delayed.

Cons: Room had a strange layout, was very dark. Only had 1 window to an inner courtyard, very dark.
7,0 Good
Pros: Bellhops, valet & room service staff were top notch. I had a problem checking in. They noticed & tried to make up for inflexible front desk.
Cons: Checking in was a problem. Front desk was inflexible. Woman who appeared to be the manager came out & she actually snapped at me. I was shocked. Another person at front desk tried to tell me that something that was a hotel policy was a law.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: The bathroom door was a sliding wooden door that does not lock and staying with multiple people where a bathroom door doesn't shut/lock probably was the only odd thing
6,0 Good
Pros: The location was fine but there was no breakfast.
Cons: Had problems with noise from the HVAC unit and had ongoing problems with the TV.

Pros: The room was amazing! All the touches I expect in a high end hotel (robe, slippers, good mattress).
Cons: That parking fee isn’t clearly specified anywhere, it’s great to get a deal on a hotel except when you have to pay an additional $44.00 (in my case that was a light fee). Also, hallways were noisy but it may have been due to a function.

7,7 Good
Pros: The location was he best part of this hotel. Everything downtown was a short, safe walk (T stops, Fanuel Hall, Quincy Market). The room was small for the price but it was well kept. Everything was clean and staff was quick to respond to any requests we had.
Cons: Our AC/Heater broke on our last day there so we had to move rooms because it could not be fixed that night. It kept making an awful buzzing noise every few seconds and would have made sleeping impossible. It was about 8:30 at night and it was really the last thing we wanted to do. Fortunately, they had another room available, and they told us it was an upgrade (it wasn’t), but it was still a process to have to pack all of our stuff up and move it. No discount was offered for the inconveniece. Otherwise the stay would have been perfect.

Cons: faultless
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The quality of service at the Langham is exceptional. Pros: Mattresses were old and uncomfortable- woke up with back pain. No flowers or candles in room as advertised. Poor location for fireworks viewing as advertised as only a handful of people could actually see them. Not up to the standards of a luxury hotel and I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels around the world.

Overview Reviews
Located in Boston (Fenway–Kenmore), Hotel Commonwealth is within a 10-minute walk of House of Blues Boston and Fenway Park. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and express check-in. Planning an event in Boston? This hotel features 12500 square feet (1161 square meters) of event facilities.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Room is well appointed and staff is friendly and accommodating
Cons: The hotel advertises that the resort fee covers a coffee and fruits or pastry at Eastern Standard but eastern standard is consistently out of either fruit or pastry! The false advertising is a bit of a let down.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff was amazing, so professional and helpful. Located near Fenway Park, not too far from historic hub. Public transportation was easy to access.
Cons: Would have liked better token "on the go" breakfast option. No access to ice without housekeeping delivery.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a suite, decorated in BU memorabilia. Given that my wife and I attended BC, that was ironically funny. The suite, however, was spacious and lovely.
Cons: No criticism.
5,8 Okay
Cons: This hotel is just basic. It should be priced at $500+ a night.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel Commonwealth is a great hotel, nice staff people who are always available to help you. The number one thing about this hotel is location location location. Kenmore station is literally right out the door, the green line can get you anywhere in the city in about 20 minutes. The rooms, even the more affordable ones are spacious. The beds are comfy with the swishy hotel pillows that everyone loves. The entire hotel is managed well, and the interiors are beautiful. I highly recommend room service after a long day of walking the city, the late night menu has some delicious bites at reasonable rates.
Cons: Only things I would caution about this hotel, the free breakfast is a is simply a small pastry (if they have not run out) and a iced or hot coffee with milk and sugar. If you want a room with a view you need to pay more and call in advance to confirm you have been given a room with a view of the city or fenway park. Last draw back is parking. The valet is over 50$ a day. We checked in on a Friday and out on a Monday. We intentionally left and checked in the way we did to avoid paying extra for parking. In the end we were only charged for two overnights because we left early.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and modern. Everyone was very helpful from the valet to the checkin staff. The room was spacious and clean. It has a very modern look for the Fenway area.
Cons: The hotel was almost too modern. The hotel in very close to Fenway and that is why we chose this hotel. Unfortunately that is all it is really close to. They have a valet but this come with a steep parking fee.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: It is a good location.
Cons: apart from location I did not like anything else. I had the feeling that they are trying to charge me for everything and treat me as if I was going to run away without paying. Overall it was a very uncomfortable feeling. The room was large but very badly designed. The heating was like in the highway hotels - either working too much or not working. Way too expensive for it offers.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Your front desk staff's check in and check out process was exemplary! Thank you!
Cons: Yes, the fact that we had to go to the Eastern Standard for a cup of coffee.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms, lobby, staff, location.
Cons: Expensive parking
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The amazing scent hits you when you walk in the entrance doors. The staff greeted us warmly and immediately offered us snacks and checked us in quickly. The room was fresh, modern, clean. Comfortable beds. Go to onsite Hawthorne for amazing cocktails!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very pretty rooms and loved location
Cons: The cost
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We drove from NJ and arrived before check-in. Our room was ready. The room was very spacious and nice. Having a smart TV in the room was a plus. It was within walking distance of all the sights we expected to visit. But be sure to have tour walking shoes.
Cons: It was a 30 min walk from the Freedom Trail. Only two small free water bottles provided. Were charged $58 per day for valet parking. We only stayed 2 days.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: location
Cons: TV was broken KEURIG coffee maker broken
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect and the facilities were clean and comfortable! The staff was very helpful.
Cons: I didn’t like that breakfast wasn’t included in your stay for the price you pay for the hotel. You are paying for location which is perfect and the views are gorgeous. They do have a star bucks in the lobby as well as the restaurant but still provide you with keurig coffee in the morning which is nice!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, restaurant
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. Walking distance to Little Italy and the Historic North End and the trolley stop is right outside the hotel as well as the dock for the Harbor Cruises.
Cons: They had no parking available to guests at all. If you wanted to park in their lot it was valet only and $68 per night. I feel like you pay enough for the room that parking should be less than the other available lots that are close but it was not. This was not well advertised and when we pulled up to the hotel we had no idea what to do.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, view, cleanliness
7,9 Good
Pros: Lovely building and room. Great location.
Cons: Poor service in the restaurant with main course brought to the table when only halfway through starter. Bearing in mind the cost of the food (and $22 for a glass of wine) plus the fact that at the time there were only four tables occupied in the restaurant it was not the service that we expected, but the restaurant manager was not interested and said it was normal to serve food when “fresh” regardless of timing.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room, good view and location. Staff were very helpful. Concierge Jeffrey was very helpful in obtaining our boarding passes since business center was closed for repairs.
Cons: Had several instances where room keys didn't work in elevator or room entry. Room was hot, AC didn't seem to work the first night. Complimentary or more reasonably priced breakfast would have been nice considering we paid for 2 rooms. $29 per person
7,1 Good
Pros: Lovely hotel and great location
Cons: Very expensive breakfast and parking
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect! Loved walking to aquarium and shops and restaurants at Quincy market and boat tours ! Hotel was clean. Room small but was fine to sleep 4, not much drawers no dresser, just two smalll drawers under tv. Pool small so too crowded
Cons: Pool too small

Pros: Great location for eateries, shopping etc. and close to where we needed to go. Breakfast was a definite PLUS!!

Pros: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Very hard to find. Located in an industrial area with many warehouses and manufacturing facilities next door. Poor parking facilities. Not enough luggage transfer carts. Breakfast area too small. Waffle iron (only had one) was broken and not operating
7,1 Good
Pros: The free breakfast was more substantial than most -- waffles, oatmeal, eggs. The pool and Jacuzzi looked inviting, although we did not use them.
Cons: There was a vague smell of body odor in our room. My son had some clean wet clothes he wanted to dry but the laundry facilities were "out of order." I met a maintenance person while checking it out who was unsympathetic, and a bit rude.

Cons: Price was a little high for an out-of-the way location, far from Boston (3 stars notwithstanding).
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff
Cons: Keys were unavailable for 24 hrs. This is inexcusable. Batteries in the remote died and no replacements available. Breakfasts were skimpy. More variety should be available, like eggs and sausages
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Pet friendly; staff friendly; close to South Shore Mall and Interstate 93/95/3South; fridge and micro in room.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: -Heat didn’t work in room -Bottles of urine in the parking lot -People smoking in building -Long term guests walking around in socks or barefoot -people arguing at all hours of the night in the hallways
4,5 Okay
Cons: Very disappointed. The room looked old and was basically dirty everywhere. Even the walls and doors had dirty streaks and marks on them. The pillows smelled bad, but the staff was excellent as they replaced them quickly and without question. The walls are very thin, too, so you could hear the TV next door and noises from the hallway. Not at all worth the price - expected a lot better. EDIT: Also forgot to mention the terrible water pressure in the shower, the fact that the "hot" wasn't even hot, and that I had to turn the temperature a little colder in order to make the water a little warmer (still wasn't hot). Basically, the knob had to be at about 3/4 to hot to be the warmest it could be. They clearly did some cosmetic updates (mostly to the bathroom) but everything else is dirty and out of date. Again, the staff was awesome and very nice and friendly at all times... but the room was very bad considering the price.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The check in was fast and friendly. The room was clean and well appointed.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing negative to report about my stay. I would eagerly recommend the Candlewood Suites to anyone.
10,0 Excellent
